Nice place on main street in Placerville. The loaded tots were top notch, and the beer was cold and delicious. Each meal was good, and the service was solid. We would go again for sure.

Came here for the drinks and food as a small snack after a long day of work. Ordered the buffalo chicken dip and was amazed at how good it was. Would recommend coming here and trying it out along with the dragonfruit hard cider. Jackie gave us really good service and was friendly and very helpful in helping me decided what to get.

My wife and I love Bricks, the food is great and the staff is super friendly. My wife loves their beet and goat cheese salad and I've pretty much enjoyed everything I've eaten on their menu. Also, their cocktails are amazing!

Figaro burger was a treat with goat cheese and a yummy fig sauce. The plank sweet potatoe fries were huge and were cooked perfectly.

If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience, look no further than the restaurant that my girlfriend and I recently visited. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the quick and efficient service we received. Our waitress was incredibly skilled, taking our order without needing to write anything down. She was attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was simply amazing. We decided to try the El Paso Burger and were blown away by how delicious it was. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy, but the restaurant was able to accommodate her needs by offering a gluten-free version of the burger, which was just as delicious as the original. The food arrived quickly, and we were able to enjoy our meal without any delays. To top off our meal, we ordered a couple of cocktails, which were expertly crafted and tasted great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also beautiful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The service was exceptional, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was beautiful. My girlfriend and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the near future.

Food was plentiful, and I mean great servings. But I highly suggest you all check out the cocktail menu. I seriously was not expecting how good they were. Whiskey Sour was amazing.

I was completely surprised by how good this place was. I mean it had great reviews but I'm always so unsure what I'll be able to eat since I'm gluten free. I was pleasantly surprised to hear from our server that they not only had gluten free bread but it's made in house. That changed the whole menu for me. The turkey melt I ordered was absolutely delicious and the sweet potato planks were so good. I definitely recommend this place.

I love this spot! When you walk in, you immediately start to decompress from a long day. The food is always delicious and well-made. The hostesses greet you so warmly. You don’t mind the weight if there even is one. This is a regular go to place for me.

Came here for lunch last Sunday before Christmas. They had great reviews on Yelp so that aided in our decision. We walked in and they were busy, but it only took a few minutes to get a booth cleared for our family of 3. They have a stack of coloring books and cups of crayons that you can help yourself to in the front for kids, or bored adults. We grabbed a couple for my son and I. Great assortment of beers on tap too that I'll have to come back and try. We ordered stuffed jalapenos for an appetizer. They were halved fresh jalapenos filled with a mix of bacon and spinach artichoke dip and then baked. Super yummy if you like a little spice. My boyfriend ordered a Bloody Mary and I think it was the "Southwestern" Burger or something, it had bacon, bbq sauce and fried onions. It was huge, he took home half and said it was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips. The order came with 4 large pieces of fish that were perfect. Crispy, hot and not caked in batter. The fires that came with were thick cut, seasoned and fried to perfection. It came with a kale-cabbage-slaw that was tart, crunchy and fresh and had a bit of a asian/sesame oil touch to it. Good! We ordered our son pasta with butter and cheese, it came with cheesy garlic bread and was just okay. He ate mostly my fish and chips which was fine with me because I had such a big serving! There were lots of other things that looked super tasty, maybe for dinner out though since the items seemed a little pricey for lunch, although the burgers/sandwiches/salads/burgers/smallplates are good lunch prices. The quality and taste is definitely there! Great place for a sit down meal in downtown Placerville! #placerville #lunch #dinner #american #beer #bar #burgers

Very good food. Very nice servers. Molly S. was the best. Portions are large and a good value. I had the Malibu Chicken sandwich. Excellent. Wife had the Poke lettuce wraps. Excellent. Brother had Pastrami Reuben. It looked really good and had cool multi-colored bread. Just went for lunch with my son. Excellent. I had the BLTA and subbed the tomatoes for Fried Green Tomatoes. Fantastic. My son gets the fried green tomatoe Grilled Cheese every time. He says it's soo good!

We ate a delicious lunch in downtown Placerville at Bricks Eats and Drinks. I munched on the Grilled Cheese & Fried Green Tomato sandwich with a side of their very rich French Onion soup. Michael had the Cheesesteak sandwich with super crunchy fries. Will definitely come back!

Very appealing, great staff ( music a bit too loud), but great in house made gluten free bread 🍞, best sweet potato 🍠 planks …worth the drive 😉

Ok second best fried green tomatoes here. I loved the variety of tomato ripeness there was and the tomatillo was bomb. Grits needed some salt but that was IT! The calamari and dip appetizer was a perfect cold dip to hot fried crispy calamari contrast. That beautiful spinach salad sounded and smelled equally as amazing. The blood orange vinegarette was the perfect touch for a delicious salad that we will be recreating at home if we can perfect the dressing they use. Coconut white chocolate mousse with the chocolate port was heaven in a cup. And the bartender made awesome old fashioneds.

We had for 22nd Anniversary the Bricks Meatloaf and the Beef Tenderloins, it was so good! Only thing missing they didn't offer any hors-d'oeuvre to munch on before dinner was served.

My mom and I went here for our Mother’s Day celebration and we LOVED it. Jazzy was our server and she went above and beyond. Eli was also there any time we needed anything. Such a friendly staff! Now for the food - it was so good! We got the fries as an appetizer and they were in my top 5 favorite fries of all time. We both had the blackened chicken salad and it was delicious. We highly recommend this place.

J
Jacquelyn Sells

I love this place. The food is excellent. I go there for their hamburger and garlic fries. They have to offer one of the thickest hamburger patties ever served. With the addition of both bacon and avacado and a large serving of fries, I paid roughly $22. I brought half of my meal home and, therefore, got two meals out of the price. I order a medium cook and it's always cooked perfectly. I really like the solid brick wall atmospher, dark floor and tables. There are a few booths for those inclined and seating at the full bar. The last time I had one, their mixed drinks are very good. I've decided I prefer beer with a hamburger so it's been awhile since I've had a cocktail though. Parking can be difficult at times. There is a small, city parking lot directly across the street which is often full. Parking along Main Street, also often full, and a large city parking lot that is a block away. Even so, this place is well worth the walk. I highly recommend it.

The food here has always been amazing! Today was no different. The service has always been great, however, today was a little different. Tyson, the young man serving our table did an amazing job. He definitely made sure that his customers were taken care of and was even so gracious when he had to ask us to move tables to accommodate a big party. It was very refreshing to see a young man take pride in his work. We felt that Tyson really cared about his customers and their dining experience at Bricks!

This restaurant is popular for a reason! On our latest visit the place was full, but our hostess cleared a table and seated us after only a very brief wait. Our server, Carver, greeted us warmly and even though the restaurant was very busy, he proceeded to provide excellent service all through our visit. Our order; Caesar salad and Ahi lettuce wraps, arrived quickly, was well presented and delicious. Bricks on Main St. is always a good choice.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere! Had the Meat Loaf, it was very GOOD! Gravy was perfect! My wife had the Chicken Ceasars Salad, and she LOVED it. We were surprised to be out of there for 60$ . Well worth the money!

C

JUST GO! BEST Caesar salad I've had. Ask for extra cheese and croutons, it will be the best you've had too :). They put a little kale in it, and I don't think I'll ever look back. Kids meals are around $6 and good portions. Huge beer selection. Perfect place to get a sampler. Service is good and happy to be there.

The food here is excellent! It can be noisy and I found that distracting from my date. The quarter was nice and the food got to us quickly but they did not refill our water and ignored us after the food arrived.

I had a rare weekday free and Hubs wanted to have lunch at Brick's in Placerville. I gave it a go; and enjoyed the vibe and food. It's a restaurant and bar on Main Street. He's been there before and it was my first time. The menu includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees such as meatloaf, lamb chops, and three different cuts of steak. I had the cup of French onion soup $6. It was delicious. The broth had a strong, beef broth with significant amount of caramelized onions topped with bread layered with melted cheese on top. The top cheese layer was broiled or baked a bit giving the cheese crisp edges around the bowl's rim. There was even a terrific satisfying visual cheese pull. You know the kind when the spoon breaks the top layer and grabs onto the cheese and stretches along with the tug of the spoon as you scoop. Mmm. Then I ordered fish n chips $20. The fish was good. It had a crisp, golden exterior. Not to much breading. My fork broke through the crust and it gave a crackle sound. What a satisfying food audible. The fish was moist and flaky. The filets were not hunky sized ( not scrawny either) but I got 4 pieces so it made up in total for a plentiful serving size. The fries though were basic. Basic ain't bad. They're steak cut style fries. The order also came with slaw. Not coleslaw but a lighter dressed oil based version with purple cabbage. I liked it. And when I reached for the ketchup to check the ingredients, I noticed the Heinz bottle label stating "Simply". Yes! Ketchup without HFCS! A rarity in restaurants. Hubs ordered a Bricks burger $16.50 that comes with cheese and served with a side of fries. So a slice of cheese is not an additional add on. He added bacon for $2.50. The patty was a half pound of ground Angus. The bun looked bakery quality, it was grilled a bit. I took a bite of the burger. Darn tasty. The interior has a bar to the right side and dining room to the left in an open floor plan. I can imagine when the place fills up, it can get loud. The vibe was family friendly. Customer service from the host to our waitress was terrific. The bar sells beer, wine and hard liquor. The interior has paintings of Main Street buildings and scenery which I thought was a neat decor item.

Service was great our waitress was Anastasia, she was very helpful n very friendly food came out hot n pretty quickly super good selection very impressed would definitely return. 10/18/25' UPDATE: went back hoping to eat here again from Reno, unfortunately even though it states in their web pages that their "Dog Friendly" We were very disappointed to find out they actually were not able to accommodate our German Shepard, so we likely won't return.

The Apple Bacon Burger is amazing! Two of us split the loaded tots. They were tasty and a generous portion. The restaurant was busier than normal and looking around you could see the staff was not prepared for such a rush. However, they all handled it so well and every table was taken care of! It was nice to see a small team working together to get the job done!

Great food, and great service. I had the Bleu burger, and my husband had the When pigs fly, and both were great. The fries are crispy and delicious nice thick cut steak fries. Very generous portions. It was a great spot for a date night Definitely recommend giving it a try. They do have Taps and a full cocktail bar too. Update we went back again for his birthday dinner 20 out of 10. If you like tasty juicy burgers, delicous rare steaks and Ahi Lettuce wraps yum doesn't do this place justice. AMAZING!!

Whenever we are in Placerville bricks is a must for dining. Every time we’ve been here we get seated right away and we always end up with the best service. Today we ended up ordering a little bit of everything from fried green tomatoes to a Santa Fe turkey melt working our way through a white chocolate mousse infused with port wine and indulged on a Tito‘s flight. As always, everything was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend bricks when you’re in the Placerville area.

Ate here twice over two days. We had the Hot & Spicy Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Apple Bacon Burger, all of which were delicious, but the best by far was the Mamarosa. I ordered it once and my friend twice. The steak tips were very tender and mixed so well with the sauce, and the garlic bread was delicious. Service was courteous and kind as well. The atmosphere is very nice too, with great photos of Placerville on the wall. I can’t wait to go back!

Great experience for lunch! Was busy and we only noticed 1 poor waitress for the main dining area, but she did her best and was very friendly. My blackened chicken Caesar wrap was delicious! Lots of moist and flavorful chicken, I would definitely order this again. My hubby’s black bean burger was underwhelming, dry and bland. Skip this for something else. We both loved the sweet potato planks and they were very generous with our portions! We will return for sure.

We had dinner with my wife here, it’s a nice place in downtown Placerville, I ordered Frisco burger on sourdough bread which was really good, so so fries, my wife ordered shrimp, rice, and vegetables also so so. The Moscow mule was good, but the blueberry cocktail “the Molly’s” was somehow disappointing, I think it just had a touch of vodka, the taste was good tho. Last but not least, super nice and friendly staff.

Lamb chops for $35 is pricey enough to expect that when you order them medium rare, that they don't come back well done. I didn't send them back, but I let the waitress know (I was too hungry and I thought that I was being polite). With such numerous great reviews, I thought at that price that they might offer a dessert on the house or to comp my glass of wine. They did not. So, while the veggies are appropriately cooked (not raw, not mush), for the price I think that you would easily find better cooked lamb chops. 🤔

Big portions. Service wasn’t great. Took a long time for someone to come to the ya low after we were sat. When the food came out my wife didn’t get her salad or the side of au jus for her sandwich. The waiter said he would between right back with them. 15 mins later still nothing. She ate half my burger while waiting for the rest of her meal.

My wife and I usually enjoy what this restaurant offers. I usually have fish and chips and had never been disappointed. This fish, up until tonight, was always battered cod fillets perfectly cooked. Tonight I ordered the usual and the server returned with three pieces of flattened cheaply battered fish exactly what you’d get at a smorgasbord or purchased frozen at the grocery store. It was absolutely terrible. I’ve given three stars only because the server was good.

Fish and chips done right. So yummy! A large, rather darkly lit restaurant with business clientele, as well as, families taking a stop before heading back to the large cities. Lots of American style food with enough tangents to please all palates, desserts. No one ever leaves hungry from this place.

The food is usually pretty good, but they clearly hire for ideology not quality. Not to mention the type who frequent places like this are often quite loud. Best skip.

First time at Bricks. Reviews good for fish and chips so I had high expectations. Letdown, just O.K. Not bad, but not great. If there is a next time I’ll try something else. Fish & Chips with Ice Tea was $25.40 Great location in historic Placerville in an old brick building. No outdoor seating that I could see. Artwork of this and other old buildings adorn the walls.

July 4th weekend, enjoyed a sumptuous late lunch of a simple caesar salad with steak.. thoroughly enjoyed.. lots of family sized tables, clean n spacious, super friendly atmosphere, reasonably prized.. prawn dish was kinda too salty though, n the fish was rubbery..

Stopped in for a quick bite and had the Coconut Lime Shrimp Tacos. They were good but needed some kind of sauce to go with it. Menu had a varied selection and all in all it was an ok stop.

Our server was sitting with her friends in the other seating area, chatting away, forgetting she had customers. The food needs improvement. My husband's steak was tough and under cooked. Just a bad experience all around.

Sadly this place has gone downhill. I am local and used to go here almost every Friday night. The last 1-2 yrs management changed I think? and it has been terrible ever since. I went a couple times this summer trying to give it a chance, but my steak was GRAY… GRAY I mean I wasn’t expecting fireworks but it was bad and definitely reheated, calamari which is usually amazing was soggy and gross. Fish and chips were different and seemed previously frozen… And this is not the first occurrence. It’s been the last 2-3 times. Makes me sad. Used to be our fave spot.

Zero if possible. Horrible food. Horrible waitress. Discrimination on my service dog. Will never eat here again. As soon as we entered, they had the nerve to seat us by the bar on highchairs. I told them I want a booth & it seemed it was a burden to them. One of the girls said she will have to check. Another asked "will that not do"? Then I said never mind will take the highchairs. One of the hostess said "I want to make sure you dog is a service dog". The audacity to even ask when my dog has her vest and tags on her plus her identification with photo. This made me even more furious. I've had been here 3x before & was never questioned about my dog. After we ordered our food with this unpleasant waitress, we waited 40 minutes to receive our food. I asked what took so long, her answer was that they were busy. Yet people who came after us got their food before us. My chicken was cold. This tells me it was sitting there for a while before she brought it out. The fries were so greasy you couldn't even taste the potato. My mom still has heartburn and feels nauseated from her entrée. I have never had such horrible service in my life. No care. No concern. No courtesy. No hospitality. Will never return & will spread the word to family and friends about this disgusting place. And the audacity to charge fees for using a credit card is outrageous. The bartender was another schmuck. The waitress never checked on us either. Their cloth napkins were stained with white stuff. Ugh. Never again! What a waste of money.

Food had no flavor at all. We ordered the brunch burger and I know it said open faces but to really have it all sitting atop a slice of sourdough, poorly made. Service not to good as well.

We unfortunately have to agree with all of the negative comments about the fish and chips. One of our favorite meals at Bricks. They have really got down hill. They used to be great but have totally declined. Please bring back the original version. Soggy, fish filets are not what I came for. You should realize that it is hurting your business.

Food is gross everything tasted like it been sitting out for hours and then just thrown in a microwave burger buns were dry pasta sauce was clumpy steaks drenched in gallons of bearnaise sauce and old looking spinach dip was horrible won't be back that's for sure

Sadly after spending $140 for two kids, me and my wife I am so disappointed.. I tried to call a total of 8 times to get ahold of them prior to posting this but clearly phones are not priority. I spent $46 on a “16oz steak”. Which is about 8oz, asked for mashed patatoes and got 1 spoon of mashed. So frustrating to spend hard earned money on a meal that would have been much better cooked myself. No service to even talk about our concerns. Last time I visit.
