It’s peak! I also had the ramen here it’s at least top 5 Japanese foods in this culinarily barren land (aka Fremont). Tad bit pricy cuz I’m a student but like whatever the food is good

When I’m in the area, it’s my favorite Japanese restaurant for lunch or dinner. Food is always consistent, hot and delicious. I usually get the spicy ramen along with some side dishes. Luckily, they have different spicy levels from mild to super spicy. Service is prompt and cheerful. I highly recommend Ramen Shu when you have a hankering for Japanese food.

I’ve been ordering from here for years until I realized how close I lived and finally ate at the restaurant. I went twice in the same week, it’s really that good. The service is amazing, they even recognized us from earlier in the week. The staff is super friendly, and the food is delicious. Not pictured is the side salad that also came with the curry, it was so good we forgot to snap a picture. The salad dressing is perfect.

Been here a few times and it’s always been good. Service is amazing. They noticed were a bit cold and offered to have us sit in a warmer part of the restaurant. They were very attentive and it was definitely the best service I’ve gotten in a long time. The food was great too and definitely priced well. Appreciate the staff here.

We got the tonkatsu ramen and chicken katsu curry. Both were very good. The flavor of the broth was really good and the strength of the broth was moderate. The pork was cooked well. The curry had just the right amount of spice and richness.

I decided to stop by Ramen Shu based on their highly rated reviews, and this place did not disappoint- our dishes were cooked to perfection! My two year old ate some of my ramen, and half of the potstickers. The potstickers had the perfect pan seared crisp, egg was yolky, broth was creamy, the chashu pork was sooo tender and juicy, and everything was flavorful. The service was fast, food portions were generous, atmosphere was relaxing, and our waitress & the owner were very kind! Definitely coming back to this place next time we’re in the bay.

It was my first time trying Ramen! Great food, they have options for vegetarians too, a must try! “Loved the spicy chilli tofu!”

Very friendly staff, helped pick our food and make choices that were cheaper than what we were about to go. Got the Ala ramen. Level 3 spicy. It was decent, the meat quality could be better. The noodles were good. It was not crazy spicy either. Overall I enjoyed the place, shopping nearby as well.

Super cozy space with seating for smaller and bigger groups, and the most delicious food! Everything from appetizers to entrees were so good. I especially loved the takoyaki, kimbap and karage, and got the kuro tonkotsuramen. Super flavorful and good portions too! Will be back soon :)

The owner was very considerate and accommodating, he let us stay at the restaurant past closing time so that we could finish eating and continue our conversation! He even bought us apple juice afterwards once he saw that we were continuing our conversation outside the restaurant! Thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming! Truly appreciate the warm and attentive service :)

Laundry night is always Bento Box night when I do the wash next door I ordered the pork bento box. If you ever want to eat a five star meal, and make your laundry day a lot less grinding. The pork bento box is the best. It will fill you up for 12 hours. It easily can feed three people that thing is huge! I arrived and threw on a load of wash and every time I order it's always ready in 15 minutes! By the time the washing machine is almost done I am halfway through the meal. Throw the load in the dryer and I go back to my car and feast on the rest. It's the perfect plan every time thank you for being accommodating and friendly and cooking me a five-star meal makes my wash day much more inviting

Enjoyed our visit here. Wife got the katsu curry - nice sized portion. Nice crispy crunchy texture on the chicken katsu. She asked do extra spicy and they delivered. I got the Kuro ramen had good flavor - better like garlic. Super friendly and attentive service. Would come back to try some of their other dishes.

I love that they offer a very nice quality broth, noodles, a whole egg and chashu with the price. Service: all staff are warm and smiley! We came at a very late time but they are very genuine and helpful during the whole dining experience. Ambiance: simple and clean Japanese style interior. Not too much and comfortable.

I went there around 7pm yesterday and ordered the Aka reman. Level 3 wasn't that spicy! It had a strong garlic flavor because there was a lot of garlic in it! It was pretty tasty overall, and the staff were very friendly!!

However, I eat a lot of ramen and black garlic is always my favorite. This one was decent and comforting but I felt like the sodium or garlic flavor wasn't that balanced with the rest of the flavors. My boyfriend got the aka ramen and I had the salmon don. The ramen broth was delicious and definitely to try. The salmon on my rice bowl was not of the fatty cuts you usually get on one in other restaurants and the rice is just white rice. However, they give a generous amount of tobiko. The owner and staff are very friendly and kind. I want to come back and try their ramen and abura soba for sure.

The veggie ramen didn’t have any flavor and I had to season it with a lot of the garlic seasoning at the table. The veggie gyoza was bland as well.

We each had their ramen lunch special priced at $19.90. Hubby got the spicy red garlic oil tonkotsu ramen which was too spicy for me personally that it was all I tasted and he got a takoyaki side which was good. I got the tonkotsu ramen which could've used a little bit more salt and karaage for my side which was not evenly cooked since one piece was moist inside, another piece was dry and the 3rd piece was sliced open to make sure it was cooked all the way through but it was pinkish in color so to be safe I just did not eat it. This seems to be a popular spot for lunch since there was a steady stream of people and while it was worth a try, we'll check out a different ramen spot if we're in the area again.
