One of only two places that I returned to during my 7 days in OB. A heap of well prepared delicious food for an incredibly reasonable price. Most folks will enjoy this place, but I feel like it’s a clutch spot for the doers. I’m looking at you runners, surfers, mountain bikers and cyclists. This breakfast burrito is something you can through down as a pre-activity meal if you want to be fueled by something not too heavy. After my breakfast burrito this morning, I did 30 miles on the bike before my body even hinted at being hungry for anything else. And for 10 bucks? Can you even get 2 energy bars for that price anymore?

I came here while on vacation in San Diego because Killdozer_tv eats here and the burritos look delicious in his videos. After eating a California burrito with eggs, I can confidently say, it was the best burrito I've ever had (and I eat a lot of burritos). Cool little joint, too.

Veggie burrito $9.50 Be a tostada $6.00 You can split the veggie burrito and be full. 5 stars. Amazing food - rest of the world would benefit with food tasting this good. This food is so good, it slaps harder than my mom.

Great Mexican food and amazing staff! Definitely worth a visit. We ordered food for four people, and it only cost $50. The portions were huge, and everything was super tasty. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Star, I’ve traveled up and down San Diego and I have to say by far this is the best burrito I’ve had to date. Tortilla was fresh no breakage. The Carne Asada was seasoned to perfection. The sauces were Gasolina!!!! by far the best Mexican restaurant you will have if you come to visit. 10 out of 10.

Got the Cali burrito and I echo what everyone else has said. Came in with high expectations and boy did it deliver! Big and delicious. What makes this place that much more special was Jose at the front. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working!

Nico’s Mexican Food is a must-visit gem in San Diego for burrito lovers! This was our third time here, and it did not disappoint. The California burrito and breakfast burritos were packed with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by for a delicious meal and great vibes!

Nico’s is always worth a stop if you’re in Ocean Beach. Their food is delicious and so full of flavor. The Carne Asada burrito is huge. Probably enough for two meals for most people. The meat in the burrito is well seasoned and blends really well with the pico de gallo, which is always fresh! The Beef Rolled Tacos are a great meal by itself. The tacos are large and are served with large portions of cheese and guacamole. I added sour cream to mine.

The California burrito here is incredible! I got mine with chicken - will definitely get the classic with carne asana next time. Note that this place is cash only! No bathrooms. There are a couple tables outside. Super friendly service.

A small Mexican joint that’s graced Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach for years, Nico’s is a San Diego establishment. They offer solid burritos here that are consistent in quality and size. The California is one of the best in town. They also have a great selection of enchiladas and tostadas. Come hungry because their portions are generous. Be sure to get a handful of red salsas. Take your order down to the boardwalk and have a top tier Mexican lunch while watching the surf.

Breakfast burrito yes! They can also make it into a plate if you don't want the tortilla like my little princess wanted. Highly recommend stopping in to get your fix for a delicious meal paired with a very hospitable staff that makes you feel welcome and part of their family.

The place is not over hyped. It is probably the best California burrito I've ever had. Plentiful and flavorful carne asada, crispy fries, super fresh tortilla. The salsas are delicious, if you like spicy, the hottest one is excellent. And the price is right, super affordable. Reminder, cash only.

Regarding the breakfast burrito I'd have to agree with other reviewers that it's a bit small, and the flavors are too bland. Ingredients are all there but it just doesn't have any seasoning.
