Excellent atmosphere, quality, fresh food, friendly Nathaniel-well done. The violinist is world class and music chosen created great vibes. Awesome, memorable experience.

The Ivy Asia St Pauls has become one of my favourite restaurants I often end up here after events in London. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, with great views of St Paul's Cathedral from the windows and theatrical, bold decor that always feels like a night out rather than just dinner. One laugh I'll never forget was approaching the bathroom and seeing the samurai figures totally unexpected and funny! The drink selection is excellent, and the cocktails, creative dishes and buzzing vibe make every visit feel. With the lively DJ, good music and club-like energy in the middle of the restaurant, it's always a fun night out when you dine here. Great food, stunning background and a place I'll happily return to agair again.

From start to finish Alicia was attentive, polite & very welcoming. Her service is the best I’ve ever experienced and I eat out every week. This was a celebration of my 60th birthday & the little dessert at the end with the candle was a very special touch. Hold on to this girl, she is amazing.. thanks Alicia from Alison x

This was a fabulous experience for our family! The decor and ambience was amazing and we had the best seats in the house! There was live music but it was too loud and at times we couldn't hear each other speak. The food was excellent on the whole. Fantastic gyozas, duck pancakes, seafood risotto but desserts a little too sweet and panna cotta sloppy and green. An amazing experience but would not go again on a Saturday.

Absolutely incredible birthday treat by my fiancee, cannot fault the food, service or setting overlooking St Paul's. Loved every part, exquisite food, good portions, attentive service and friendly waiters. Presentation of the food as well as the flavours all perfect. Highly recommend a visit

I visited this restaurant for my friend’s birthday dinner, where she had booked a private dining room, and the whole experience was amazing! The decor is stylish and very cool, creating a great ambiance for a special night out. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service throughout the night. We had a set menu, and as a vegetarian, I was happy to see plenty of delicious options. My personal favorites were the king oyster gyoza and the kimchi kakiage (deep-fried kimchi). It’s definitely on the pricier side, but for a special occasion, it’s completely worth it. Highly recommend!

I love this restaurant, and every time I’m in London I make sure to dine here. This time I came with friends for dinner, and once again it didn’t disappoint. We had the edamame to start, then the Prawn Tempura Roll (good), California Roll (very good), Shiitake Gyoza (also very good), and the Gochujang Glazed Chicken — which was really delicious. The Robatayaki Wagyu Beef was amazing, with a perfect crispy edge and tender inside. The Black Cod Miso was really delicious, and the Chilli Noodles were good as well. Our waitress was very attentive and helped us choose dishes that matched our preferences, which we really appreciated.

I had a wonderful experience at The Ivy Asia, made even more memorable by our waitress, Andra. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, warm, and genuinely charming. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive — she offered great recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. Andra struck the ideal balance between professionalism and friendliness, ensuring that every detail was taken care of without ever being intrusive. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made us feel truly looked after. Exceptional service like hers elevates the entire dining experience — she’s a real asset to The Ivy Asia team. Thank you, Andra, for making our evening so enjoyable

Food options and the way it is presented is absolutely amazing. I will never be disappointed by the dishes served and variety. Staff are gold star as is the view from the restaurant. Only nit-pick is that some of the tables can be quite close together especially when getting in and out, you can feel like you're sitting on the person next to you's lap.

Super lovely vibe, very delicious food and super welcoming staff, could not ask for a better dinner out! I am a big fan of Ivy Asia and they never disappoint! We’ve tried a bit of everything, highly recommend Volcano Wagu beef sushi even though it is very expensive. We loved beef tataki and prawn dumplings too! You should be ready for insane prices tho but could not complain!

Great location overlooking St. Paul’s Cathedral. The Dragon lunch menu at £28.50 for 2 courses ( 5 choices per course)with a few snacks/dip was very good value. Tasty meal. Excellent service. Loved the Decor.

I had an amazing experience at Ivy Asia St Paul’s. The ambience was stunning, and the food was absolutely superb. Service from Matthew was exceptional — he was kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond our expectations. His expertise and recommendations were spot on; the seared beef and chicken teriyaki were both outstanding, and the cheesecake dessert was super delicious. Thank you so much for a fantastic dining experience! Highly recommend.

We were gifted a voucher as a wedding present. And had lunch overlooking St Paul’s this week. It was amazing. The decor was gorgeous, food and drinks fab and Matthew our server was absolutely brilliant! He took amazing photos of us. Such a treat! We’ll definitely be back.

Came around noon time in a party of two. We were seated in not so good location despite availability of many empty tables because we didn’t reserve. However, the decoration, view of St Paul Cathedral compensated for the shortfall. The service was courteous and fast. All dishes were served within 10 minutes. The spicy tuna roll was fresh, rice cooked right and spiced. The raw beef was delicious though a bit salty. The king prawns were well prepared and crunchy as well as well seasoned. The chili noodles weren’t spicy and barely saw the chili. It was woke well and balanced spiced The atmosphere and decoration were great and the music was rightly sound in the background so we didn’t have to yell just to speak

We had an amazing time at The Ivy Asia celebrating my 30th birthday. The experience menu was absolutely incredible every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Nick, who was the best waiter we could have asked for. He explained each dish to us perfectly, made sure our drinks never ran dry, and truly went above and beyond to make the time special. Thank you, Nick, for making sure we had the best time possible. We’ll definitely be back!

It's a first time I try the Ivy Asia, the atmosphere is amazing and the greatest view from St.Paul cathedral, unlucky for me that it's a rainy day that make the sky so gray ( I hope I could go there in sunny day, the view would be very stunning). I recommend to book table if you would like to seat nearby the St.Paul's cathedral view, there is very busy. The food was very nice and fresh ingredients, I ordered the golden dragon lunch menu, this set is nice and valuable, especially the rice what comes with stirred fired choi, the vegetable has a aroma of wok and tasty ( their other dishes are tasty as usual as expected). The staff are very supportive and have service mindsets and try to make sure that every customers have the best experience with them.

This is our daughter’s favourite restaurant, and one of our favourites too, so what better place to come and celebrate her graduation! It is a beautiful venue that simply never disappoints! The service is perfect, and the staff are very friendly and professional. The food is exceptionally good, very well presented and tastes great too! We also had a great view of St Paul’s Cathedral , which was an added bonus! Will we come again? Of course we will, and I would highly recommend that you do too! 😀

I celebrated my birthday here yesterday and it was a great experience..They were very accomodating, provided friendly service, has a unique ambience, and good Chinese food. I find the Menu price really reasonable. Definitely, I would highly recommend for celebrations or just some good dining experience.

We had dine in at The Ivy asia St paul's. It was my early bday get away. The foods was great. The king prawn curry is semilar taste to our Indonesia Rendang, I enjoyed the rice and the green pokcoy too. Would come back to try other menu. The atmosphere and view is amazing. Sabid did a great job. He is so attentive and helpful. As we already tired after such a long day we decided to leave a bit early but Sabid asked us for a little time. I didn't expect anything but found out he came back with a celebration plate and candle for my early bday treat. Thank you

I am so happy that i’ve spent my birthday here in Ivy Asia last April 2025. The place looks very very posh, everything we ordered tasted really delish, staff were lovely and i got a free dessert for my birthday. Can’t wait to visit again soon ❤️

Went to this place with my mother for my birthday and we enjoyed our experience very much. We got the BBQ duck salad, Gochujang chicken, king prawns, cinnamon donuts and we we're brought ice cream mochis as a dessert since it was my birthday. The best dishes were definetly the yakitori chicken and BBQ duck salad but everything else was great aswell. The atmophere is very cool and beautiful and our service was very nice and quick. Great place, loved everything.

I took my wife for her birthday and we were both blown away. It was our first time and so we had the Ivy Asia Experience Menu which was incredible and the dishes just kept coming. The cocktails were unique and spot on, the decor was very varied and interesting to view, and the service from our waiter, Antonio, was outstanding. He helped us with describing the dishes, he brought a beautifully candled desert and even arranged a complimentary sugared donuts with chocolate sauce and ice cream as a birthday treat for my wife which went down very nicely. Top all that with an in-house DJ playing some really cool tunes and a grand view of St Paul’s lit up, it was a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to return to try the other dishes soon. Thank you Antonio and the Chefs, you really made my wife’s birthday special and it was a great ending to a wonderful day.

Today we had a gorgeous first experience for our 5th wedding anniversary after my sister recommended we visit. From start to finish we had wonderful time. We ordered the dragon set menu with a couple of cheeky extras! All so delicious and the food came out hot and in good time. We are going to come back with our mums in a few weeks time to treat them. Shout out Andra for her attentive service, kind and gentle demeanour and great sense of humour. We hope to see you again on our return x

I love coming to The Ivy Asia St Paul's! The food is always incredible - Gochujang glazed chicken, lamb massaman curry and the passionfruit and coconut doughnuts are my go to! Our waitress Andra was super helpful and provided great hospitality and service. We were celebrating both a belated anniversary and birthday and received lovely desserts for the occasions. Thanks Andra!!

What a fabulous restaurant! Nick, our amazing waiter, made our day. He was super attentive, very polite, and just the kind of waiter you want when meeting up with your best friends. Not too intrusive but there when you needed him. Food was superb too, we had the stone bass, which was delicious and I loved my tofu dish. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Had an incredible experience at Ivy Asia St Paul’s (20 New Change, London). Our waiter Nick was absolutely outstanding , attentive, observant, and guided us perfectly through the menu. The food was incredible, the atmosphere breathtaking, and the view unforgettable. A truly memorable evening shared with my friend visiting from America. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding! Rarely does a restaurant tick all the boxes, but they really did! We are a fussy bunch: in our group of 6 for a big birthday you’ve got 3 Brits, 2 Japanese, 1 Korean; age range 20-65; four of us have worked in hospitality; so we’re really not easy to impress… First, hats off to Jay our waiter for OUTSTANDING service, with a whole load of super-professional colleagues who worked as a brilliant team. That says a lot about the quality of the management. Then the food. We had the £85 premium experience and it was worth every penny, from the yellowtail sashimi (more like a cevice, with black truffle) to the black cod and the wagyu finale. Actually more than we could eat- we’re taking the (deliciously smoked) duck home. Price wise, the cocktails are excellent and average price for central London (£14-16). Sensible wine list: starts around £40, you can do really well for £60, and if you really want to spend £200 well that’s your choice… Then the atmosphere. A sensory overload of chinoiserie, samurai figures (including a REALLY bizarre men’s loo experience) and cool music. Not to mention the priceless view of the 315 year old St Paul’s Cathedral through the picture windows. If you’re looking for somewhere to have fun and impress

Had a delicious and really fun evening at Ivy Asia St Paul’s. The tasting menu was divine and we were beautifully looked after. Special thanks to Tiago, who went out of his way to make sure my chilli allergy was fully catered for — nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and outstanding service. Would definitely return.

A truly magical London eating experience, with a view of St Paul’s just tops it off! The service was attentive, prompt and, kind with an elegant expertise in fine dining. Dessert cocktails are a must! So delicious, the perfect way to end the meal. Glazed chicken is a must, the sashimi was to die for. The sushi SO fresh. And the duck exuded elegance from presentation to taste. The atmosphere is magic, the attention to detail of decor is incredible. It was such a luxurious experience. I would come back to London just to go here again!

I went to the Ivy Asia for my 21 birthday lunch. Our server George was very welcoming and even set up a birthday dessert for me which was lovely. The food was amazing, we had the dragon set menu. George was very knowledgeable about the whole menu and gave us lots of recommendations. Will definitely come back again!

Had a beautiful night, the waitress whom was called “Precious” could not do enough to help us. Service excellent only wished there was more of the black cod as the portion was small. Everything else was perfect, big shout out to Precious who made our night

Great atmosphere, it was full even on a Monday. The waiters were attentive and the food was superb, the massaman curry was tasty with a bit of heat. Had some small plates to start and also tried the duck salad which came recommended and it didn't disappoint. Only gripe of the night was my wife had a glass of Perrier Jouet champagne, for £25 and it was flat. I called the barman over and guestered towards the glass and he said "was it flat?" before I'd had a chance to say anything, so he knew it was before he served it, so he shouldn't have. He swapped it for a fresh glass straight away.

Had a nice experience having afternoon tea but we told the staff beforehand that it was my mum's birthday and they did nothing towards it which was disappointing. Also I came for afternoon tea a few years ago and it felt like standards have really slipped. Last time they had dry ice, the stones in the souviette holder were missing and the coffee had a nice stencil, this time it was plain. For the money you pay, you expect a better experience but the afternoon tea selection was nice

Really cool looking restaurant over looking St Paul's Cathedral. We had the set menu which was good value and the food was good quality. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars was although it was busy, there was enough staff to serve. However we kept having to ask for help, menus, clearing the table, bills etc. This was probably because our waiter spent all her time flirting with the other waiters, chatting and exchanging vapes. I think if she concentrated on her job we wouldn't have been left so long between service.

J
Johnny

In general the food was good although the beef we had was sliced into long pieces rather than bite size, so it was hard to eat because we weren’t offered knives, and the pieces were too big. Service was ok but could be improved, rather than leaning across and over us. Also a bit more friendly would have been appreciated. The ambiance and surroundings were lovely.

Last min meal out for our anniversary we booked for 10.30pm!! That's how last min it was. We were taken to our table didnt have to wait. As we went late, we only ordered small plates. The tuna sashimi was my fave and sweet sour kingprawns. The sushi maki roll was a bit dry and har gao dumplings were ok too. Not the way I prefer it not a fan of sesame on top of dumplings, the texture was different but edible. The chicken skewers were saucy. Not much choice in their mojitos but went for the apple and kiwi surprisingly tasted nice. We were bring rushed due to closing time being near. I advise to go earlier so you can enjoy your meal. Rushed the samurai dessert again it wasn't the best I had. But the atmosphere and interior 10/10

My partner and I recently visited The Ivy Asia St. Paul’s on a walk-in basis and were pleasantly surprised to be accommodated with counter seating. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, especially for a Monday night, with a real buzz in the room and a noticeable sense that people were already getting into the festive spirit. Service was good and efficient overall, and the food arrived swiftly. We ordered the yellowtail sashimi, robata chicken satay, and the cucumber, peanut, and coriander salad. The sashimi was fresh and clean in flavour, the chicken satay was well-executed with a nice char from the robata grill, and the salad was refreshing and well-balanced, cutting through the richness of the other dishes nicely. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed the food. One small disappointment was the sake flight, which took quite some time to arrive. Drinks, particularly a tasting flight, should ideally be served ahead of or at least alongside the food to allow for proper pairing, and this did detract slightly from the experience. That said, The Ivy Asia St. Paul’s delivers on atmosphere, accessibility, and flavour. A vibrant spot with a strong offering, and with slightly tighter timing on drinks service, it would be even better. Still a place I’d happily return to, especially for the energy and setting

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and very authentic, with an incredible view of St. Paul’s Cathedral — that alone makes the visit worthwhile. The food was good and enjoyable, but not particularly memorable; I would describe it as solid, well-executed Asian cuisine rather than something truly outstanding. Unfortunately, the service felt quite flat. All of the staff, including the managers, seemed very serious, tired, and not very welcoming — no smiles, and at times they even appeared a bit irritated. It was noticeable that they were understaffed or overwhelmed by the workload, which clearly affected the overall experience. I would still recommend the place if service is not your top priority and you are mainly looking for a beautiful setting with a stunning view rather than a culinary revelation. Tip: there is a corner table by the window in the corner of the dining room with the best view (shown in the last photo) — if possible, try to reserve that one.

We were gifted an afternoon tea here and it was a lovely experience. It was great to try a menu that deviates from the classics. The Bao buns were incredible and the coconut cake was to die for. We also tried their flights of saki and a delicate jasmine tea was the perfect pairing to the sweet treats. Our server was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. An asset to your company. Would love to return and try the dinner menu.

Visited for a birthday celebration and the atmosphere, decor and ambience is something else. We had a direct view of St Paul’s cathedral which was lovely. The kids absolutely devoured the food. Definitely on the pricey side but worth it when it’s for a celebration

S

The restaurant itself indeed beautiful 🤩 but the food is okay as the menu is more likely fusion style rather than authentic asian dishes. I personally don’t mind to come back for seeking the nice ambience while having food here

Went here for my 1 year wedding anniversary and the service by Mohammad was excellent. He guided through our order as we needed Halal food and he was able to tell us what to avoid and what to get. Also gave us complimentary drinks and special dessert to make our anniversary very special. The food was great but more halal chicken and beef options would be nice, we had to stick to mostly vegetarian and fish options. The samurai dessert was sublime. The restaurant decor is amazing but the music was just a little too loud it was difficult to have any discussions.

Sooo beautiful, the atmosphere is undeniable and you get a gorgeous view of St. Paul’s cathedral. The ambiance is lovely. I had a 5 course meal, food was lovely and it was just such a great date night. Very shareable courses and the presentation is beautiful. Service started out really good, it was a bit late I do understand but I think we felt ignored a bit near the end. Also huge shoutout to service because we did come to our reservation a bit late but they still accommodated with no concern

3.5/5 The Ivy Asia’s interior, toilets, and customer service were superb, though the samurai mannequin in the men’s toilet did startle me. The view of St Paul’s Cathedral is lovely. Guests were smart and well dressed, and there is also a private dining area. It is a bougie place, but the loud music and DJ booth give it a slightly nightclub-like feel. There is a bar and a chefs’ counter. For atmosphere, night views, and interior design, I would give it a solid 10/10. For casual drinks, small plates, and a chat, it is a great choice. BUT let's go to the food part, most likely people who would go there wouldn't be reading these reviews. The ones who would be reading reviews would be either thinking if it's a good place to go for a special day or food. Food: Staff were very good and served our food in timely manner. We were served drinks then starters or sides and then the main big platter meals. We ordered - Prawn tempura roll, barbeque duck salad, kimchi fried rice, Massaman Lamb and salmon teriyaki. The prawn tempura roll and BBQ duck salad was really good and I think we enjoyed it 7/10. Salmon teriyaki was good but not the best 6/10. Massaman lamb curry (5/10) felt like a supermarket takeaway food. The portion was appropriate for a person but the lamb pieces were really small and then they served curry in a big bowl and then rice in a small bowl which was bit odd. In short i wouldn't go there for food as the food was bit over priced for what we getting but the atmosphere and view made up for the lack of it. But it's best you order drinks and side dishes as they are reasonably priced and taste better.

R

Not worth the price. We went for lunch at St Pauls as a date and that was a mistake, it’s full of business people lunching and you are sat close together. I got the rib eye steak medium and it was verging on well done. There was nothing particularly wrong with the food but at £180 for 2 people with one soft drink each and 3 courses it’s way too expensive for what you get. Also the one in Mayfair is better for a date. The menu has a good selection for vegans however.

We visited Ivy Asia St Paul’s for an early Christmas Eve dinner with friends at around 6:00 PM. As the restaurant was not very busy at that hour, they kindly accommodated us earlier than our reservation, which we appreciated. The décor was charming and festive, and I was genuinely delighted to find a Christmas cracker waiting on the table — a small but thoughtful touch that immediately set a celebratory tone. The overall ambience felt lively yet comfortable. The food itself was excellent — flavourful, beautifully presented, and with particularly strong menu options for vegetarians, which was a real highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from the experience. Our table server was slow and unorganised, leading to multiple mix-ups with our orders. From the end of our main course to settling the bill, the process took an astonishing 45 minutes — a time frame that included an unreasonably slow arrival of dessert. When we requested takeaway boxes for our leftovers, we were told none were available, which was disappointing for a restaurant of this calibre. The manager, however, deserves recognition for being prompt, decisive, and effective in addressing the issues caused by the service lapses. That said, it was frustrating that throughout the meal I repeatedly had to request managerial intervention just to keep things moving. Eventually, service was progressing so slowly that I had to get up myself to make payment. While I understand that the festive season can be demanding for restaurants, the lack of efficiency and basic service training was difficult to overlook. Except for the service, the entire experience was wonderful — however, for me, service is a fundamental prerequisite when choosing to return to a restaurant.

We came here on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday dinner. The place itself is absolutely beautiful - very exquisite and unique. The food was decent. I particularly enjoyed the crispy fried tiger prawns. However, the service could definitely be improved. We had to wait quite a while for our desserts, which were forgotten about, and we had to remind the staff. In the end, they kindly gave them to us on the house due to the delay. Another issue was the closing time. Although it says 2 a.m online, around 1:10 a.m we were rushed to leave, which made the end of the night feel a bit uncomfortable. There was even a male staff member entering the ladies restroom to hurry people along, which felt inappropriate - it should have been handled by a female staff member.

Food and atmosphere were the highlights. The woman playing violin plus the DJ added to the entertainment experience. We were having a lovely time until the server said we have 20 minutes to finish our dinner (£85/pp tasting menu), finish our bottle of sake, order dessert, and vacate our table. Totally ruined our Christmas Eve dinner. We’ve had plenty of delicious food experiences in London and to be treated like a number is not necessary. Why would we go to Ivy Asia and end with a £341 meal for this treatment. Very surprising for a London restaurant. I even joked with our server that we can’t leave now that the violinist was walking around to the tables-his response: “sorry, you must.” We will not be returning to any Ivy Asia location.

I booked this restaurant to take my girlfriends out for my 30th Birthday. I have mixed feelings about my experience at this restaurant. Let me start with the positives: They were super responsive and accommodating when I contacted them and asked about if they could do a gluten free menu as a guest of mine has an intolerance. Only 5/6 ladies could make the booking and 3 of us arrived at least 20 minutes late and it wasn't a problem for the restaurant. The food was tasty and the staff were kind and welcoming. The issues we had were 'administrative' in nature. 1) We were sat at the bar when we arrived as our table was not ready. At first this was great as it allowed each guest to select one of their very tasty cocktail and acclimatise, aswell as allowing the whole group to arrive. However, we spent over an hour at the bar waiting. 2) I had booked the premium experience menu for the rest of my guests online and also shown the booking when we were seated, however we were served the standard experience menu. 3) Service was so slow, our booking was for 8.15pm and we didn't leave the restaurant till after 12am! It meant that the tickets I had gotten for my group to attend a club after were wasted. 4) The bill arrived and it had a charge for a 6th person, which luckily we picked up on. When we brought this to their attention, they did rectify it straight away, but that oversight would've been quite costly otherwise. It has promise, an atmosphere and I did enjoy the food, I just wish the execution was more polished. That being said,I would still try this restaurant again.

I was extremely disappointed in the service which is not what I expect to receive when I pay as much as we did. The waiter we had was not attentive at all, we had a kid and were not offered a kids menu. I am also pregnant and had to wait over 20 minutes for drink to arrive only to find out it wasn’t added to the bill. Waiter apologised and later service got a bit better but still not great for such an establishment. It felt a little awkward and unhelpful as I usually ask for recommendations from staff but felt like this was probably pointless. I’ve been before and have witnessed better service so to have this experience for me was shocking. Not sure if I would go back to this branch in the future
