Great place,great staff, great views , not tacky! Great full , extensive menu. Including roast dinner, lamb etc. I was so delighted as an expat to see apple pie, English breakfast, banoffee, scones etc. Amazing sausages. Delicious. Great atmosphere. Just Infront of the sea.

Beautiful sunday roast today. It was realy lovely n the lady that served us was so nice, she was on her own serving n kept apologising for delay, but we hadnt long to wait considering it was quite busy. Highly recommend n very reasonable priced

Went here for Full English breakfast managed to get a table inside as it was so busy the owner and staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough making sure our child’s food was pushed in the queue, very helpful if you need to ask questions about local places, great area fantastic breakfast and service would definitely recommend. The service was great! I couldn’t reccomend this place enough. I was in spain from 6th of november to 13th of december. I have been craving their british full breakfast ever since. When I ate my 1st garlic bread almost right after I got it, and they asked to make sure that I’ve gotten 2 and I got amazing service. Thank you!

Sat here enjoying a relaxed 3 course with the other half. From someone who is fussy with food, I would highly recommend The Wigan Bar La Isla. Very tasty food. Started with fried camembert/garlic bread with cheese. Main course 2 roast dinners. We had the chicken and the beef.No complaints here. So tasty. Followed by jam roly poly and banoffee cream pie. 2 very happy people. Service excellent. Staff very friendly working so hard.

Friendly English-run bar in a good location on the promenade. Decent food with a very varied menu that caters for everyone. Reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

This place became our go to for fantastic food and great service. Home made steak and kidney pie with veg and mash not forgetting the gravy as good as any you would get at home. Not to mention the roast dinners and the apple pie. Staff really friendly and always a great atmosphere. The view is to die for looking out over the sea.. and all for a budget to make a yorkshire man smile. You will not disappointed.....

We eat a few times at the Wigan Bar. Loved the location, great views of the Beach and Sea. We had the cooked breakfast, Meat and Vegetarian. Very good value. And very tasty. Plenty of toast came with it. The young woman who took our orders, was new, she was pleasant and very efficient. We will be visiting the Wigan Bar again on our next visit. I highly recommend it... 🩷

Just arrived home after 5 lovely days in Benalmádena. We ate here 3 times for breakfast. Breakfast was outstanding every time with plenty of toast. Nice service and staff. Great black coffee as well. Would recommend getting here around 10 am as its very popular and gets very busy. Its a great view of the beach along the promenade.

Went to the Wigan multiple times during our 2 week stay, also attended frequently last year. Amazing food, amazing service with incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommend the breakfast, the BLT baguette and the roast dinner. Cannot wait to come back next year.

We received a warm welcome even though we were visiting quite near their closing time. Service was friendly & efficient. Good choice on the menu. Food & drinks all good and reasonably priced. We would return to this restaurant again if we were in the area.

We always use the Wigan Bar whilst we are over here. We haven’t been for four years due to the pandemic but Debbie remembered us and we were chatting and laughing in no time. We love the food especially the salads which are always lovely. We’ll be back next year for more enjoyable food and lovely views across the Alboran Sea, tremendous!

Excellent tasty food, yummy English breakfast cooked to perfection and evening menu offers a great choice of home cooked dishes.. very reasonably priced also, well worth a visit and chances are you'll go back for more. Came here twice for breakfast. Decent coffee and I enjoyed my omelette/scrambled eggs on toast. Lovely view to the beach.

Just been to the Wigan Bar. Food was absolutely delicious, service with a smile also. Bit disappointed that the prices charged are not the same as the prices on the web site??!! Shame, but food fantastic, Sue, suggest this is looked at as a matter of urgency, I’m also in retail and know what customers are like!!!!

My friend and I had breakfast in this lovely little restaurant we had an English breakfast, there were enough options to choose from and we got proper scrambled egg as opposed to half cooked chopped omelette, and low and behold proper bacon different breads were offered and was nice and fresh, there was also the option of fresh or tinned tomatoes, we didn't wait too long for our freshly cooked food complete with a lovely mug of tea and coffee, the owner was helpful by letting us know about closing times due to the time of year and weather I would definitely recommend this place for a lovely experience , down to earth but spot on point.

Really delicious breakfast...just like home..service and staff are excellent. We have been twice so far and no doubt we will return again before we leave. Its a shame it looks run down along with the other cafes beside it. A bit of tlc and clean or replace the canopies would make a big difference. Could be a knock on effect from lockdown. However if you can see past this you won't be disappointed.

Been coming to the Wigan bar for years now, either during the day or evening. We love the view and service. Food is always lovely and drinks ice cold, all reasonably priced. All the staff are always friendly and attentive. We cant wait to come back and hope everyone is keeping safe.

Ох, этот бар уже не тот что раньше.. Принесли завтрак с волосом. Сказали и нам официантка объявила что поменяют блюдо, но только придется ждать. обслужили всех клиентов и в последнюю очередь подали мне. Были только извинения. Но даже не приложили скидку за ожидание+ и за разочарование от первого блюда с волосом. И яйца немного подгорелые...горькие. Общем полное разочарование. Жаль что он уже не тот как по той старой хозяйке.

Decent breakfast with black pudding but the blonde woman taking orders could do with a lesson on customer service. She was rude and being awkward about mugs and cups of all things, clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed. First time visiting was OK but the second visit she put our family off ever visiting again.

Die Aussicht ist wunderbar. Der Service war ok. Das Essen ist recht touristisch mit einem englischen Touch. Es wirkt etwas „simpel“. Für diese Art von Speisen wirkten die Preise ein wenig überteuert. Ich kann es leider nicht empfehlen. Ich würde lieber eine Etage höher die Panorama bistro bar empfehlen. Das Essen ist tausend mal besser und für das Geld ist man hinterher auch nicht enttäuscht. Ganz im Gegenteil.

Great views out to the beach and sea if you are able to grab a seat at the front. Reasonably priced drinks and quick service but let down by the waitress constantly coming and asking if you wanted another drink when you got down to the last third of the one you still had.

Die Aussicht ist klasse, doch sollte das Personal mehr Freundlichkeit zeigen. Dasselbe gilt auch für die Qualität der servierten Speisen. Der Cappuccino war hier leider auch nicht genießbar. Schade, vielleicht wird es in der Zukunft besser.

Waited over an hour from ordering to receiving our meal.Service was sh.te.I had chicken with mushroom sauce (tasted like mushrooms in water).The wife had roast lamb which she enjoyed.Overall unless you like a long wait avoid. In reply. We walked in and there were 5 empty tables.Our order was taken straight away and at no time were we told that there was a delay. Our drinks were served promptly,after half an hour we had to ask where our soup was,the staff were very apologetic and our soup arrived and a half hour later our main course arrived. In this time most of the people behind us had been served and left. When we originally walked in there was only a couple of tables before us to be served.

I totally agree with my husband, Peter Hedström, the service was extremely slow and unattended. Stay away. Completely tasteless. Several guests came and left without service during our stay. There are much, much better places along the boardwalk, even though you trying to misscredit our review blaming mix-up to bars connected to you. Take responsibility instead blaming nextdoor facilities.

Absolutely filthy, waked in and there were flies all over. Floor had stains everywhere, obviously never cleaned in months. Toilets stunk had to hold breath. Just ordered drinks because of this so can't comment on food.

Extremly slow and unattended service. Stay away! Completelt tasteless. Several guest came and left during our 30 minutes stay due to the complete ingnorance from the straff! There are much, much bettet places along the boardwalk!

Lovely views from this seafront bar. Having read lots of positive reviews we were looking forward to a Sunday roast. However we came away disappointed, very small portions of veg, my cabbage was mainly the stalk bits & if you want stuffing or Yorkshire puddings, which I always thought were a traditional accompaniment in a Sunday roast, were each €1 extra & small yorkies at that! Plenty instant gravy although a bit watery. Hubby opted for swirdfish which was unavailable so tried the chilli which was also disappointing. Onto the dessert menu which had lots of English favourites which whetted or appetites (chocolate fudge cake, cheesecakes, jam roly poly etc) but none available other than apple pie or apple crumble & told they don't get deliveries on Sundays so on the whole Wigan Bar was a let down.

€5.60 for a 1/4 cheeseburger and if you want chips with that then it's another €3.60 at my local takeaway in the UK I can get 1/2 cheeseburger with chips for £3.80 at 102 exchange rate for the pound that makes it stupid expensive.

Hard and old bread for breakfast toast. Harder than childhood in Syria or Korean regime. Cannot even get soft with tomato and oil. They forgot a simple coffee and orange juice, bar was almost empty. Don't know, man...

I hate leaving negative reviews on holiday but this was well below par. We each ordered what was meant to be a cottage pie. Potato was watery and not crisp on outside. Veg was sparse and meat was practically non existent. Guys please stop serving chips the way you do. Froozen chips are bad enough but just chucked at side of plate? We also asked for a salad. This consisted of a handful lettuce and 2 or 3 thin slices of carrot chucked on top! Without doubt the worst meal we have ever had on holiday. Lazy and no imagination put into it. .

The chips were overcooked and had probably been sitting for a while, and warmed up in the fryer a few times. My father ordered a ploughman’s, which included two slices of ham, four thick wedges of cheese, a dish of Branston pickle, and a BAGUETTE 🥖….. however, I was informed that they did not have any baguettes available!! The homemade meat pie was dry, and the gravy was thick, lumpy, and not very hot either. I visited this establishment in 2022 and returned in 2025, but nothing has changed except the food is awful and now you pay for chips if you want them with your meal…. The overall image of the eatery is dire signage is outdated, faded and old, the yellow overhead coverings need deep cleaning, and the entire pub has a very dismal atmosphere. Three years ago, the ambiance was fantastic, and it was difficult to find a seat outside; now, there are plenty of empty seats while both bars on either side are bustling with patrons! I strongly advise against eating at this bar; do not waste your hard earned money on dining here!!!

Absolutely gutted. We returned here after a few years away with excitement. Used to be a brilliant breakfast. All top notch food. It's not anymore. I didn't even know eggs could get to that colour. Terrible. And it was very slow service.

Roast dinner…… na. I had a medium roast and my wife had a small roast. No difference in size, in fact, hers was bigger than mine. All apart from the plate anyway. One and a half roast potatoes doesn’t make a medium roast dinner. See for yourself. Not impressed. Oh actually I had an extra scoop of mash….. who even has mash on a roast 🤷🏻‍♂️
