Opiniones de China E Buffett Round Rock
This place is fantastic. We came down from Belton TX to do some shopping and decided we wanted Chinese. Found this place on google. Walking in you are greeted with a lot of neat merchandise you can buy… see note at bottom. We were greeted quickly, showed to our table and drink order taken and we were off to the buffet. Everything I tried on the buffet was on the higher end of average as far as taste. The egg drop and hot and sour soup were next level good. The Mongolian grill was the highlight for me, there was a good selection of veggies and a few meat choices. The chef did a good job without overcooking my food and the flavor was absolutely fantastic. Servers were very attentive. They kept our drinks full and made sure we had what we wanted. Only small lapse in service is after I assembled my plate of stuff for the Mongolian grill, the chef was MIA, a server had to go get him for me. (note) just be careful of the Stanley tumblers, I’m absolutely certain most if not all are fake… there are some with designs Stanley never made and all I looked at had logos that looked fuzzy and poorly printed. These tumblers were still very nice but I take issue with the sale of fake merchandise… as does the law… anyway, these would be good gifts for children who likely won’t know or care it’s fake… at $30 a tumbler though your paying Stanley retail for a fake….
Clean staitons and Fresh Constantly cleaning up... 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Fresh Food Friday Especially
Food was great. Went on a Saturday. Food looked fresh, staff was nice. Will come back again.
Food was hot and fresh. Crab rangoons actually has filling inside. Egg rolls are amazing. They have Mongolian grill, sushi, dessert and more. Decent pricing
Great food for the price. There's also a section in front of the restaurant with lots of children's toys. Just adorable! 😍 The best part of this place is that its food does NOT give me migraines on the next day... So, I guess they don't add MSG to the food! And that's a great plus.
Haven't seen a place so busy in a long time. And they weren't near capacity yet. I haven't been to a buffet in years. It was really good. Had all my favorites general tso's, orange, sesame, that imitation crab and cheese bake, Jumbo shrimp, and too much more to list. They have a Mongolian grill You pick out what you want and give it to the chef and a sushi bar but I didn't partake in either this time. Looks great though! Will definitely go again when the mood to feast strikes! *Review updated to correct typos.
Very surprised at how good so many of the dishes were! We went there mainly for good Crispy chicken wings for my husband and he was thrilled! Big, juicy, with a light crispy batter/coating, hot and perfect! Many dipping sauces if you desire, Teriyaki, Sweet and Sour, Ranch, etc .....Best in the area for sure! I enjoyed the Tso Chicken, Orange/honey chicken, sushi, and a few wings myself with Eel sauce, yummy! Nice salad bar, Chinese fare, and a great Chef creating your customized choices of meat and fresh veggies with a flair! Delicious thin rice noodles., Seniors for dinner is very reasonable for what you could get. Lots of crab and shrimp dishes as well! You can't go wrong! BTW, the service is wonderful, always clearing off tables and refills of water and soda too! A plus!!
Very affordable buffet. Big range to choose from. Would love udon or some kind of noodles!
We love Chinese food, and this buffet style restaurant was a GREAT find. They have a huge variety of options with lots of seafood choices. The food tasted great and not heavy on the spices. They have a Mongolian grill, sushi bar, main dishes, fried items, salads, fruits, and desserts. Very attentive servers, and a crew member is continually cleaning up the food area controlling the occasional spills. On the lobby, they have cute Chinese plush toys for sale and some jewelry items that can be purchased as souvenirs. Ask for their senior discount if you qualify, and... enjoy your meal. 🧧
Fresh food. Fast service. Very welcoming. Delicious food for everyone!
Very clean facility in atmosphere, fresh food, so good and seasoned perfectly ,much lighting,( I like to see my food)👍🏾 reasonable prices for adults and children. We were not rushed to finish our dinner 😁 Also there was not an issue with bringing my Dad's birthday cake 🎂 Can't wait for our next gathering
Very surprised with this place. Have not been to a Buffett in 20 years but out of town guest wanted to so we did and we will be back sometime. Huge selection of food and that all cooked well and very tasty
Actually a great local buffet. Shrimp availability might be an issue depending on what time you go like rush hour. Tables are clean and staff is always friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Quite the little shopping center in the main lobby though
Visiting here from San Diego. We have been to a lot of buffets all over the county. This is one of the better ones and a great price too! Food was fresh and staff was attentive.
Food was great, nice selection of items. Staff is friendly and the parking was easy. We'll be back
Had an incredible family dinner tonight! The sushi was fresh, the crabmeat was savory, and the lo mein was the perfect finishing touch. 🍣🥢"
I almost didn’t come because of the low Google rating… I’m glad I came. The Sushi was average for a Chinese buffet, but it’s there. Spicy Chicken is Fantastic. Medium heat (on an Asian scale), hint of garlic, a touch of sweetness. VERY nicely balanced and fresh. The sautéed whole mushrooms were surprisingly good, like, just really good, and the deep fried Gyoza was delightful with a well balanced sweet and sour sauce. Fried rice and Rice Noodles were also really good. I won’t come back for the sushi, but I will come back for the rest. It’s wouldn’t fair, though, to lower the rating of a Chinese restaurant because of their take on Japanese dish. Also, I ate here at 2:30 when one would expect the dishes to not be as fresh. Again, almost everything I had was great!
It's a Chinese Buffet, It's what you expect, and by no means is it perfect, but the love of god its got a Sushi Bar. I think the folks of round rock are a little spoiled, This was the first and last Chinese Buffet that is open 7 days a week with a constant set price under 20$ that serves Sushi, Even has all your soft server ice creams, classic buffet deserts etc. I've sat in the location for up to 2 almost 3 hours with no issue from staff. Just kept eating. great stop if you're on a budget but need to fill up.
Update: I went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was packed. I was seated quickly because I was alone. I can't say the food menu choices have changed. However, I believe it has to be a new chef in the kitchen. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked right and looked delicious. I'll definitely be back soon, and I hope the food will be just as great as this time.
Glad they reopened. Food is good. Dessert selection is awesome. Hope they keep the hot foods hot and the cold foods cold.

The food was good with so many varieties of seafood to choose from. Even a picky eater can definitely find something to eat. They service was also good even though it was all you can eat

Well this will be a first for me. I'm usually a little harder on locations that serve pepsi but this place here was very good. The veriety of good food was amazing. The service was great me and my …
Not bad for a buffet exactly the quality you'd expect from a decent one. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars because of the rice. It is generic and was so bland I wondered if it had gone bad. ANYTHING to throw a little flavor in it would be a big improvement.
Good for the price, standard chinese buffet plates but wide range. Also pitza, salad etc. Good seafood selection for price. Fast service for Sat lunch.
So let me start by saying the only reason i didn’t give them 5 stars is because they serve Pepsi and I hate Pepsi. But the food was absolutely delicious. They had some of the best selection in my opinion. My favorite was the fried squid just delicious. I swear if they switched to coke idk if I would ever eat anywhere else.
Everything good but servers. They not even say thank you. They never asked if everything was fine. I was going to Gire you five stars if they say thank you for coming or something like that. they never seen me to.the eyes
Food was pretty good. Not a wide variety of sushi. We went towards the end of lunch, due to work schedule, and we were charged for dinner pricing. As they were bringing out fresh food for the dinner crowd- they brought us our check. Was kind of like our time was up and we "weren't the dinner crowd". They expected we were done eating, I assume. Other than that the soups were delicious, crab rangoons were fresh, shrimp in garlic butter sauce along with the clams were tasty. Crabs were small and soft, didn't care for those. Waiter was very attentive when our drinks needed refills. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere which is always a plus! Also, there is a store front right when you walk in. Seemed a bit awkward, but did not affect the dining experience as it was separate from dining area by a wall. Overall was a decent experience. Just lunch prices should run longer if the lunch food is still out and not the fresher dinner foods
The food is great, the sushi selection is great. Love the hibachi station. The staff is really great about refilling and taking the plates off the tables. This is mine and my sons go to place when we can't decide on what we want and can have a variety.
The atmosphere is typical for chinees buffet, the food is also. There's plenty of room, the staff clear the tables often and is always there to refill your drinks ..
Food was not bad at all! It’s your basic Chinese buffet food, which was exactly what I was craving! Their Dessert section was pretty small, I wish they had an ice cream machine but they did have ice cream with your basic flavors in a cup. Overall the service was pretty good they were pretty attentive and the food was good! I would maybe come back again if I’m craving Chinese buffet food.
There aren't many Chinese buffets in the area anymore. I went on a Wednesday around 3pm. The food was rotated regularly and was hot and fresh.
It's a buffet. No service staff, serve yourself. Large variety of dishes. Nothing over the top or exceptional. If you have an appetite, you will you money worth.
This rating is against other Asian buffets in the area. Service is good, I was seated right away and was brought a tea. The building is getting old, kinda looks like it needs a paint job. Food is fairly standard with a good variety. I did not care for the Sushi. The soups are very good, the best I've had in awhile.
I mean, what else can you expect from a buffet? You don’t look at the quality, you’re there for the quantity. The food was decently good. Not amazing but it does the job. It looked clean inside and the food was always hot. Service was alright. Overall, a decent experience. Definitely one of the better Chinese buffets here in Austin.
We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening because my husband wanted a Chinese food Buffett. The reviews were not that great but he wanted to go so we did. The cashier upon entrance was not very friendly. The sign says to wait to be seated but yet she told us to sit anywhere. We decided on the left side since there was a crying baby on the right. The waitress that met us at our table was also less than friendly. I guess when you’re watching people stuff their faces all day, it can get old. We made our way to the buffet area and at first glance, I was not impressed. None of the food was labeled nor looked that appetizing. I had read they had sushi so that was what I was looking for. I finally found it on the opposite side of the buffet. This is why I’m giving this place four stars - their sushi selection was excellent. And it tasted pretty darn good too! The dessert bar had a lot of good stuff to choose from and I grabbed several smaller pieces to try. Most of it was great. A few pieces tasted like they had been sitting out for a while- like dried out - but maybe they were supposed to taste like that? Don’t know since they were not labeled what they were. My husband was satisfied with the choices of food he ate and I was satisfied with the sushi selections I ate so we may go back in the future. Now we know what to expect so won’t be disappointed next time. Oh, and if you bring a tiny baby to a restaurant, please pay attention when it cries and don’t let it cry the ENTIRE time you are eating! It’s rude and not good for your baby to cry that long. Let others enjoy their time out.
Honestly, it’s a great option; they have a wide variety, very good prices, and I almost always like the food quite a lot. Maybe the desserts are a bit lacking, but overall I always enjoy going.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food was good and fresh and they had all of the typical chinese buffet dishes including lots of sushi options. Will definitely be back again.
Holding on in a dying genre. China E buffet is pretty good for what it is. It's an early 2000's style big Chinese buffet that leans towards being seafood heavy. The food is decent to good, especially when it comes out fresh. The wait staff is very attentive without being obtrusive.
To be honest, I didn't have any expectations from this place and I was pleasantly surprised. The salon itself is quite clean. The receptionist was a bit rude. Huge selection of seafood and fish, and for me this is very critical because I do not eat meat. Grate selection of salads, sauces and, most importantly - desserts! I will definitely come back.
Pleasantly surprised. I tried a couple bites of 16+ of the hot options as well as sushi and dessert. After noticing the parking lot is mostly full every time we pass by, we decided to give it an go. Even on a Monday afternoon the food was fresh and refilled constantly throughout our visit.
Typical Central, Texas Chinese buffet, well taken care of. Food was hot and fresh. Give it a try.

Mongolian BBQ was great. I haven't had any better in Austin. \n\nBuffet was OK. Nothing really stood out as outstanding. \n\nService was good. Prompt refills on my drinks. \n\nPlace was clean.

Pretty much like every other Chinese buffet I've been to. They were working hard to bring out the food but it was extremely crowded, and the wait was very very long. It was a Sunday So that's probably why. I think if I had a choice and I wanted a buffet I'd go to somewhere closer because the food here isn't different enough in my opinion to be worthwhile as I live a long ways away
Over priced but at least on valentine’s it was so you can eat crabs.
The food was great and sushi was delicious, service was quick and respectful. The entrance has a very "hole in the wall" type of vibe, because they were trying to sell you everything and their grandma's blanket. (I respect the hustle) I'll definitely be back
Food is ok, sushi I just rice + fake crab, some sushi had avocado and the flavor was off, about the meets, chicken and pork were ok, I like the panko shrimp and dumplings, then about desserts, jelly flavor and texture was not good, looks like we're in the fridge for days (check the hard layer in the pic), the cakes were good but really dry, and ice cream was ok, I can not complain. So to pay 20usd in a Saturday not bad, but pretty sure the can improve the food
Foods are okay , some very delicious. Price is good. Atmosphere is crowded
It was an okay experience. I went with my boyfriend, sister, and nephew on a Sunday, and the place was packed right after church. They handed us a number and called it out when a table was ready, which took about 15 minutes. The place felt a bit cluttered, with toys scattered around for purchase that kids were playing with. While the food was hot and fresh, it didn't impress me much; the only standout items were the egg rolls, veggie rolls, and crab Rangoon, which I would recommend. The dessert options were quite limited, lacking the fresh ice cream you often find. My nephew chose jello, but it had some odd white dots at the bottom. Overall, I didn't think it was worth the $75 we spent.
Food is OK, I think they should work on it to make it better. They do have a wide variety of different food. The few staff who work there stare at the customers a little too much. They don't come to the table enough to see what you need. They have merchandise at the front of the store and watch you like a hawk if you look at it.
Crawfish wasn’t good but they had some good food!
Simple Chinese buffet several options with Sushi and Mongolian grill. There are many options on the buffet. The chicken with broccoli and pepper steak seemed starchy. The Mongolian grilled food had no flavor at all. I used veggies and garlic to flavor my food for the grill but it came out with no flavor whatsoever. The cook even put teriyaki sauce and another sauce while cooking. The temperature of the food was hot. Service just consisted of water getting our drink no refills and taking our plate. This would not be my choice to return due to food flavor.
We met some family here for a child's birthday party on a Thursday night, about 15 people, the restaurant had tables set up in a separate dining room for that amount and was able to seat us immediately. Most of our party arrived between 7pm and 8pm so the majority of the food served in the buffet wasn't as fresh due to they were going to close within a few hours. At this time of night they were spending more time getting ready to close for the evening than normal cleaning so the food areas were pretty messy. We've eaten at better Chinese buffet before during more regular hours (lunch and early dinner), had better food and cleaner areas. All in all, considering everything it was okay.
Food is good cheap Chinese buffet with shrimp crab sushi ribs and all the yummy stuff. Older building needs maintenance for as much traffic as they get but it's clean and inexpensive. They dunked up the lobby area with cheap made in China junk for sale and toys so it looks like a buffet with a flea market attached inside. But hey..the food is decent and inexpensive. Good for lunch or when no one can decide what they want.
Think if it wasn’t the weekend it could be better. Waitress never brought my daughter’s drink never returned to bring it or refills. Finally asked someone else who didn’t do it instead went to find her by this time we where done eating Received bill from another person then no one at counter to pay. At 25 dollars a person I would expect better.

So went last night with 2 kids and partner for my birthday to get their dinner buffet. Food was ok. Not a lot of crowd on a Tuesday night, which was great. But I got a $74 plus bill for 4 people buffet, 2 soda’s, 1 tea and 1 water. Even if they charged for my 11 year old for an adult rate, $13x3 + $7 leaves a lot to explain $28 for the drinks and taxes! It’s crazy! Bill doesn’t even show a break down. Something is definitely off.
The beef on the Mongolian grill was the worst I have ever had. There were several selections that were so bad I had to spit them into a napkin. Most of their beef dishes were bland and extremely chewy. The honey chicken was awesome but other than that it’s one of my worst buffet experiences ever.
Pretty overpriced for what you get. For just me and my 5-year-old, the bill was $36. The sushi didn’t look fresh, so I didn’t risk it. The crab was okay, but a couple of hours later my stomach wasn’t feeling great, seemed a bit greasy (really hoping it wasn’t expired). The pizza was stale too, but that’s all my kid wanted. I get the inflation, but for the quality and flavor, it just wasn’t worth it. Even my kid wasn’t impressed. Unless you’re planning to eat 4–6 plates or more of just "anything", I’d say skip it.
They seat everyone together even though there is so much space in the restraunt a little covid distance when available would of been nice. Not very good food about $14 a person age 10 and over if you drink water. Fruit was bitter too. They do have cool flea market like trinkets, toys, hats, knives, masks, ,and jewelry available when u enter. I didn't like that their was a man asking for money/handouts outside the door though.
Pretty gross. I am scared to eat about 3/4 of what they have here. Two full tables of friend and breaded bits of meat that are so hard I cannot get my fork to break through it. Lots of shelled sea food that are mostly shell rather than meat. The salmon is grey and brown in color and noone has touched it in an hour. The Mongolian grill meat is raw before they cook it for you and looks warm. There is chicken juice dripping off the raw chicken. I am pretty sure my stomach is going to be angry that I chose to check this place out. On the bright side, they have lots of dessert options that look safe, including ice cream.
Even though they just opened, food did not taste fresh. Every entree was so bland. Salt and/or seasoning does not exist in their vocabulary. Took forever to get drinks refilled, even though they we…

I got very sick Friday after eating there. Food poisoning I'm still recovering from. They have been shut down before. Don't go.
Made me sick after eating didn't make it out of restaurant not sure what it was but after getting sick felt great but left and went down the street to eat
Went here 1 week ago today. Yesterday was the first time I was able to keep anything else down and I am down 20 pounds. The shrimp was room temperature on the buffet and in what I thought was some kind of sauce. It wasn’t great when I ate it but it wasn’t off or anything, just a weird texture... slimy-ish? An hour later just before getting home I was violently vomiting out my drivers side door and wasn’t able to go to work for a week, having to postpone my final projects for this college term by a couple days until I could get some water in me and focus to work on them. 3 days of violent projection vomiting. My wife was with me but didn’t eat at the restaurant as she doesn’t like Chinese. She was just my date and had KFC before coming with, but loves me and wanted me to eat what I wanted. I was the only one that ate, and the only one that ended up in urgent care attached to IVs. Took 1 hour before symptoms set in.
What a horrible customer service the lady at the front was terribly freaking rude and these servers don’t do their part during their customer service as well the Food was cold. I don’t recommend anybody coming here for lunch.
I wouldn’t recommend food does not look fresh. I ate egg drop soup. Some of the food was bland or cold. Save your money or just get fast food! Just weird vibes all I can say.
Bland food and the price was to expensive for the small amount of food they had to offer. The meat at the mongolian bbq part was gross looking.
The food was cold. Actually the only hot thing was the water in the restroom. I watched as an employee dropped two spring rolls thenpickd them up off the floor with her bare hands and look around then put the food back on the buffet. When we told the manager she laughed and said she would talk to her. We have only been here a few times but we will not be going back. Do not waste your time or money here. It is just as bad as it was before the other restaurant was closed down.
If I could give this a zero star I would, What an absolutely terrible customer service they threw my tea away once I asked that I wanted a cup to go the waitresses didn’t go by my table so I went to the front and asked if I could get my tea to go and her response was they threw your tea away . She was definitely so rude what a terrible customer service. I don’t recommend anybody coming here not only is the service is terrible but their food is not even warmed up is terribly cold.
Their food ended up making me sick. None of the workers could speak English when I asked the guy not to use the same utensil when cooking my chicken on the wok as he cooked another persons shrimp. I would be very careful if you have any allergies!! Not clean enough for my taste! Sorry!!
Food looked it has been sitting for a long time. It was cold with no seasoning and funky fishy smell in the establishments. My muscles I got were the worse muscles I have eaten in my life
The food is not bad and the typical cleanliness of a Chinese Buffet But the treatment of the waitresses is terrible, they hardly see you looking for a dessert, they come behind you with the bill Before you eat it and they are desperate to pick up the receipt to see if you left a tip.
We used go to this place, was not great but fine for 3 star, but last our visit was horrible. Food was awful, they served rotten crab legs, and I think they were fully aware of it because it was looked like fried with a lot of salt and spices (to cover bad smell and taste), usually they served just steamed crabs. When we showed that to manager, her answer just killed us: " Oh well I'm sorry, yes I agree it have smell, but only for picky people, because other costumers ate and didn't complained about."
The food is average, there isn't much variety. They charge a 15% service charge for groups of 5 or more people, which is mandatory even if all they do is bring the drinks, and they don't mention this anywhere, neither on the menu nor in any visible brochure.
Terrible service, with even worse tasting food. Everything fried tasted the same with no flavor what so ever. I should've known when I walked in seeing merchandise other than food being sold. What kind of restaurant sells merch!? Being that it was a few miles closer than where I usually go, I decided to give it a try..... BIG MISTAKE! Will definitely NOT be going back at all..😒
Been here once around 2 years ago, that was quite decent, and food all good. Now come again, all just meeeh! First of all, food wasn’t even filled. Food were dried up, hard, been outside for long hours, the only things that looked fresh is the mongolian grill, but the raw ingredients were all up outside for too long, so can’t consider fresh either. Also service not good, especially our server just standing around, passing us several time, picked dirty plates yes, but not even once refilling our drink. We were coughing here and there due to the dryness as well. The sushi part? Who on earth serve spine part of salmon on sushi? That’s look like ‘i don’t give a damn about my job anymore’. Nah not recommended at all, and will not coming anymore.
I’m from San Antonio and not only is the buffet small but it’s expensive for what is offered. $21.64 with tax and I ate salty crabs and cold food. Service was t great either seemed like server was mad and wasn’t friendly
I’ve been coming to this buffet for years with my mom, and now that I have a daughter, I wanted to continue the tradition with her. Unfortunately, today was a huge disappointment. The food was not as good as I remembered, but I still paid happily and tipped my server generously, because my waiter was the only positive part of my visit. The real issue happened in the lobby. My daughter wanted a toy from the vending machine, and although the toy made it to the edge, it didn’t drop down. The staff tried wiggling the machine but then just walked away without saying anything. When I asked if they were done helping, I was rudely told, “If you want to waste another dollar, you can.” After trying again and still getting nothing, I was laughed at by an employee named Nina, which felt extremely disrespectful. I left but came back when I saw them trying to open the machine they claimed they couldn’t help with earlier. I asked several times for the owner’s number, but instead the manager, Kaye, gave me her own number. When I questioned it, she admitted she wouldn’t give me the owner’s information because they “don’t speak English.” That excuse was not acceptable, and her dismissive attitude only made the situation worse. This place used to be one of my favorite spots, but after today’s experience with Nina and Kaye, I will not be returning. The food was disappointing, the service (aside from my waiter) was unprofessional, and the way I was treated left a very bad impression.
