For some reason, humans seem to think that tuna tastes like chicken. However, we lobsters tend to think that chicken was a Chinese knockoff of tuna. That Chicken Of The Sea brand is probably the most garbage name I've ever heard for tuna, it should be called, "Original Taste Of Chicken" instead. Anyways, who wants a fried chicken tender? FEED IT TO ME LIKE YOU WOULD A FREAKING LOBSTER.

I like chicken xpress. This visit was 5 star because. I ordered an extra roll.. I said can u please make sure its in there. Last time i was here i ordered one and it didnt make it in the box... He apologized. When my food was ready he handed me an extra box he said "heres 6 rolls sorry bout last time". 💜💜i LOOOOVE their rolls!! 5"star!

I've been to this location a few times and I've always been pleased with the staff and the quality of the food. The last time I went here I ordered the 12 piece meal with 2 sides, they didn't have enough chicken ready so they asked if I'd be willing to wait for 15 mins while they cooked up a fresh batch. I was fine with that since I'd rather have freshly cooked chicken rather than some that was cooked XX mins ago. The great thing was that they cooked my sides fresh instead of having them sit there in a box waiting for my chicken. I recommend this location.

i love this place. it is the best chicken restaurant in town. super friendly staff. rarely out of menu items. drive-thru can be slow at times, but good things come to those who wait. would definitely recommend to anyone looking for chicken.

We were coming from out of town for a graveside service. We were trying to feed 27 people. Stan was amazing. He helped us with all the food, paper products, drinks etc. He made sure it was all still hot when people were ready to eat. He remembered all the small things I might have forgotten…. Nobody needs a special sauce to enjoy good fried chicken and tenders. Just a simple cream gravy is all you need, but honestly, Ieat most of this chicken without gravy. This is the best chicken EVER. Oh, and the fried okra is a meal all to itself. AMAZING flavors. I'll have that #1 combo with coleslaw and a 44oz UNsweet tea to go please. For all you sweet tea fans out there... Deal with it 😉...

This Allen, TX store is very fast and clean. The order was correct and tasted wonderful. I had no issues at this facility. I will definitely be returning.

Being from NOLA, we only eat Popeye's fried chicken, but Chicken Express was a client of my husband's & he'd eaten there a few times & brought it home for dinner one night, & we were hooked. Great fried chicken. Yummy dinner rolls. Very decent price. It doesn't replace Popeye's but is a good alternative.

We've been eating at Chicken-E for many many years now. We always get the tenders, and my sons put the red serendipity on it, I like the honey mustard sauce. The tea there is some of the best you will ever find and they've got that cool crunchy ice. It's a favorite for our family.

The past few times I’ve gone to Chicken Express I’ve had outstanding customer service. Not that it was ever bad before but it just meh. The older gentleman that works there, may be the Manager is an absolute delight. He’s very pleasant and takes time to interact with you. The food is good as well but the customer service makes all the difference in my book!

Worked here in high school and ALWAYS loved the place. Quick and easy food, not healthy, but oh so good!! Always took my grandpa when he was alive. He LOVED their catfish. For a fast food joint, it is honestly some of the best catfish in the area. The chicken and all the sides are so good as well. Could eat those rolls all day long too!! Stand Pounds was the owner, and still is, I believe. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and runs a great joint!!

Always enjoy Chicken Express tenders. We get a mix of regular and spicy that are tasty with the cream gravy. The fresh rolls are yummy, too. The fried okra is also good.

The staff at this store is amazing! Super sweet and always smiling. I always get the liver and gizzards, I'm a southern girl! Since the aren't that popular they are made to order. When I'm in a bit of a hurry, they are ok with me calling ahead so they can start cooking my order. That for me makes this hands down the BEST Chicken Express. The catfish is also pretty dang tasty.

It's been a while since I've been to Chicken Express because we moved. Glad I picked this one as the first experience for wife. The food was cooked perfectly, was still fresh, and all the workers on duty were friendly and professional. Glad my nostalgia remains intact and I could share it with the family. Edit: bro I just tried one of my wife's hot wings, the texture and flavor are outstanding. I had to come back and post how great they were. The seasoning is so good you don't even need dipping sauce.

This location is the very BEST!! My kiddo is special needs and LOVES their chicken, even cold! But this location is not just friendly, but their expectation for fast, hot food has gone above and beyond, always!! I hate to go to another location. If I do, it’s only the other one in McKinney, off Custer. With everything going on with the world right now, it’s nice to have them care and give that little extra!!

The did is not as good as it used to be. The fries were cold at 11am. The chicken was not crispy. The one at Custer & Eldorado is better.

I love chicken livers, Period! Chicken Express is one of the few places that offers chicken livers and they fry them well (I usually like them grilled over charcoal but hey). Their prices are good, the rest of the menu is good, their ice tea is good! BTW try the little corn nuggets!

Overall, food was hot and fresh. A little pricey...but hey everything is high now. Customer service is good, and their staff was friendly 🤘🏾✨️💯🔥😎

I really like Chicken Express, as does my whole family. I love the fact that it's a fast food chicken place that also serves catfish, all the time. You can't go wrong ordering either one. The chicken comes either on the bone or as chicken fingers. The catfish is all filets. The chicken and fish are 5 star level. The fried okra and hushpuppies are great too. The other sides are just ok. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that none of the food feels healthy at all. The corn on the cob is always kinda mushy and overcooked. The green beans are ok. I know that most fast food chicken places feel super greasy, but most others have large salads and other sides to add a little bit of something healthy as an option. They don't really.

Definitely not the best Chicken E I have ever been to. However, despite getting my order wrong on numerous occasions they are always friendly and correct the order. Food is good and place always seems clean. 5 stars if they would just get the order right the first time! :-D

They don't have biscuits. 😏 but great food and sweet tea.

I usually eat chicken express in Denton but was in the area for work so decided to eat there at 3:45pm. The food was old. I was sad that it was old and I guess I'll skip this location next time I'm in town.

Omg, 😱. Maybe I'm late but I recently found out that they ditched their bone in wings for boneless (aka nuggets) 😳. I'm definitely not a fan of the chicken nugget life but I'm guessing I'm on the loosing side of that marketing decision. That's the ONLY reason I gave 3 stars, visited for the bone in wings and had to leave disappointed.

Didn't care for the boneless hot wings that others raved about. The mashed potatoes were tasteless. Sounds like I'm reviewing fine dining instead of fast food, but it was $14 for a combo meal.

The food is fine. We bought a LARGE family meal plus extras and then asked for BBQ sauce and they said that they needed my card again because they charge for sauces. So strange. I think we'll stick with Chick-fil-A.

Long time lover of Chicken E. and tonight I was disappointed. I stopped in to try the new spicy tenders and my god did I make a mistake. I got home, about 10 minutes away in downtown (no turning back) and the food was so old. The chicken was hard and tough and greasy. The roll was HARD, barely soft in the middle. I picked at the food and was so disappointed to have spent $8 of my hard earned dollars on a meal that tasted like it was from a gas station. Maybe it was because I went 30 minutes before closing time but damn be considerate of your customers. I will stay away for a while.

The chicken tenders were good. The mashed potatoes were bland. The sweet tea was way too sweet. (Yes, I know it's supposed to be sweet. But I get at least 1 gallon a week in New Braunfels. McKinney's tea was too sweet. ) I asked for honey mustard. The cashier said it would be 40 cents. I asked to trade out the gravy for the honey mustard. She said they don't do that. I understand paying for something extra, but that seemed like a fair trade. My friend said he tried to go to this one and use a Chicken Express gift card and was told, they don't take gift cards.

I ordered 7 piece chicken tenders and they gave me spicy. Not what I ordered but was already home when I found out. Good but not right.

This location is dirty, the service is slow and often rude, and the food is not usually very fresh tasting. There is another chicken express less than 5 miles away (Custer and Eldorado) that is far superior in all ways.

The people were nice but it was our first time there and they didn’t help us know their menu. Also, when we got our food it wasn’t that great.

Messed up carry out order. Called manager of problem and told him they left out 2 orders of green beans. He made no effort to make amends on next order. Not going back

Food was great; however, our 5 tender dinners were mixed together in 4 boxes...tenders and cole slaw in one, tenders and okra in another, tenders and mashed potatoes in another, and tenders and gravy in the last. I should have realized something was wrong when I rolled up to the window and was immediately handed my large order without any wait. I remarked to the person handing me my order, “Wow! That was fast!” to which he replied, “Yea, the guy that fixed your order is the fastest one here!” Seriously?!!! Fast is good but in this case slow would have been preferable since the order was incorrect. In all, we were shorted 2 tenders, 1 mashed potato, 1 okra, 2 rolls, 1 gravy and our cutlery. I called the store in order to give them the opportunity to make amends but was unable to speak with anyone as the call went directly to voicemail. So frustrating!

I really wanted to give a better review but they have for the last few times, short the amount of tenders. Really discouraging given how much two meals at chicken express is $30 now.

I called before going to make sure they have fresh chicken. I was told they’ll fry upon order. I order 8pc dark and a small okra. The okra was fried hard and taste old. I had 2 pc of breast that was refried and 2 legs and the rest thighs. It was close to closing. I waited over 20 mins for them to serve me this! The supervisor Lauren wanted me to come all the way back so they can take another 20 mins or more to cook this chicken! Never Ever Again!

Fast in the drive thru, but they don't warn you that sauce is no longer included with whatever you're ordering. Fried pickles are brittle and dry, and inside the batter, there is basically no pickle at all. Sweet Tea is packed with ice so the XL I ordered has enough for a S.

Chicken tastes like greasy salt, mashed potatoes were pretty bad and had almost no gravy, fried okra was soggy. On top of the terrible food, had to wait an inordinate amount of time for it. I might not have noticed if they didn't use the word EXPRESS in their name.

I am so disappointed in the manager .. Found hair in my mash potatoes ,didn't want anything in return for it just wanted it Not to happen to anyone else.. Suggested they implemented wearing hairnet when making mash potatoes, it's not expensive to purchase box of hairnets and asking staff to wear.... Was told that they are not required to wear them and she has her hair up.. Messy bun.. VERY DISSAPOINTED !!

If I could leave less than one star, I would. I am getting married and was calling around for prices on chicken. My maid of honor called this franchise and the lady who answered and spoke with her was so incredibly rude that it prompted me to leave a review, which I never take the time to do. When I called back to speak with them, the lady would not answer my calls and went so far as to send me to voicemail. She finally answered and would not let me speak to anyone else and, instead of being nice or apologizing, she continued to be rude. I will never give them my business. I just called corporate and it turns out that this lady was not even the owner.

Under no circumstances, no matter how much chicken you order, you have to pay for each individual sauce. They no longer offer 1 free sauce to dip with your meal. $0.25 each and they don't warn you before they ring you up.

EVERYTIME I GO HERE THE ORDER IS ALWAYS WRONG OR THEY FORGET SOMETHING. ALWAYS CHECK UR FOOD BEFORE LEAVING!!!!! How hard can it be to read and put the correct orders in the bag. Manager didn't even offer to make it right.

If you spend $10.59 on a 4 piece chicken tender meal, you WILL NOT be given a single dipping sauce for free.

Poor Customer Service/Rude. This franchise does not deserve the 1 star I gave, the manager was super rude at the intercom. In the middle of us ordering he would interrupt saying "what else" as if to rush us to finish ordering, when my husband asked him to let him finish, a female came to the intercom and did the exact same thing. We will definitely never eat at this location again. I will make sure none of my family or friends never come here again.

So I pull up to this place around 6:30 pm, mind you it’s not even busy. I pull up and order 2 #4s for me and my friend. She wanted a breast and a thigh and I’m ordering two thighs. We didn’t want drinks so we doubled the sides. The lady taking our order responds accordingly. “What two pieces?” “What side and drink?” We pull around and there’s two cars in front of us...normal. One car up front gets served and pulls away, we’re next. Lady comes out after about five minutes with one box. She asked us if we had seven tenders, we respond with a small reassuring laugh and repeat our order to her. She grunts loudly in frustration and storms back to the door. Only after seeing the face I was giving her did she offer a dry, “I’m not mad at you. Sorry.” Of course you can’t be referring to me. A minute later, a different lady comes out with two drinks. We didn’t order drinks. She shouts out the wrong price and just stands there like we’re a problem or something. We tell her that’s not our order and repeat it...again. She walks off without another word and the car in front pulls off and we pull up to the window. The first girl opens the window with a smile and tells us she has fixed the issue. She then tells us we order one 4 piece tender with fries and okra. After repeating for the third time, I slow it down bit by bit. She then continued to say we wanted a tender meal with fries. We pulled off. Either they hired people who don’t listen very well, or they can’t read.

Came through drive-thru ordered the two-piece fish fillet dinner and got it home and it is hard as a rock it's so thin it can't even tear it apart let alone chew it, called the manager and he could have cared less and by the way his name was Joe very disappointed in the whole experience!! Everything was precooked and very dry and DIDN'T GET DINNER AFTER VERY LONG DAY!!

I wouldn't not recommend this place ever, staff is almost always rude or goofing off. Our is cold unless we ask them to cook it, they take forever to get order. Went to get the chicken strip meal and asked for honey mustard and they wanted to charge me for a dipping sauce that should just come with the freaking meal. Manager was rude and was oh well it's not her fault it's the owners decision. There's no way to actually reach out to the owner or corporation to talk with them. I've watched them pick food out of the trash can and put it on the table where they serve the food. Extremely disappointed, I'll see if I get a response on here from the owner. Otherwise I will make sure everyone knows of the cooking conditions of this facility.

Took 10 minutes to get two sweet teas. Lady that was making orders was on her cellphone and eating. The cook came to the window and asked if we had the 20 piece meal..we replied no two sweet teas. He was shocked that was all we were waiting for.

Entered drive-through at 8:54pm, i waited a bit..nothing, so i pull up to last window and the lady looks at me and just shakes her head and shoos me away. Obviously they were closed, and whats weird about that is that it was only 8:54pm and the front sign/Google says they are open until 10:00pm. I guess they are using the all too common fake flu excuse to disguise their failures and shortcomings. They are basically saying..'We are a restaurant that serves the public as long as it is utterly convenient for us, if its not then sorry about your luck, go find a dependable establishment that can at the very least stay open during the posted hours of operation, because thats not us.' What a sad, lazy and apathetic world we live in.

Sat in parking lot for 25 minutes after they took our order and money. Said they had to cook the fish. Hush puppies and chicken cold. Fish was hot. Forgot one of our drinks. Why? Off my list of places to eat.

12 piece family meal was $52.92 with tax . The meal was not worth the price . There was more wings then any other pieces and the sides were small. The chicken was dry like it had been sitting in the warmer for to long .I tried to call the location but they were in the middle of dinner rush . Would not recommend. Not at that price

It is now 10:45am and this location shows to open at 10:30. No one will answer the phone, come to the door or answer the drive through. I can see food has been made but I don’t see anyone inside. There are cars in the parking lot too…. Did I come to a ghost chicken express???

Ordered 4 chicken tenders, very disappointed. These tenders are not full size strips. Looks like they cut 1 chicken strip to make multiple tenders. Definitely not worth $7.00.
