The food is delicious and fast served which I really appreciate. Gracie, the server we have is amazing . She provided great service and made her customers feel welcomed. Highly recommended this place to dine out.
Our kids' favorite joint. Been coming to CPK for years now. Service has always been a sore spot for us until recently. A huge shout out to Nico, our waiter the past two visits. He is amazing! Great customer service, he really takes care of you. Food is the reason we go threw but Nico made our experience even better!
Ordered Cacio E Pepe pizza (for cheese lovers, good for sharing and only this month!) and Tequila Fettuccine (delicious if you like the taste of Thai curry). No wait. Fast service, roomy and great for kids. There was a kids birthday party next to us!
This is an updated review, reflecting a notable improvement. I recently had lunch here with a friend on a lovely Saturday afternoon, and our experience was excellent. I particularly enjoyed my new menu choice, the steak salad, which was very good. Our server, Veronica, was fantastic—attentive but never intrusive. We also appreciated another staff member stopping by to ensure everything was to our liking. While the emptiness of the place was a bit surprising, perhaps a lingering effect of previous mixed reviews, it's clear the staff is dedicated to a positive turnaround and their efforts are paying off.
Totally enjoyed the food . Got two appetizers, a pizza and a pasta. The lettuce in the lettuce wrap was a bit too cold. Room temperature would be better. Would be better if appetizers came before main entrees. Service was good if you got their attention; otherwise slow. I think they were under staff. Environment was nice and spacious.
Plenty of healthy and delicious choices, we enjoyed all the dishes from avocado egg rolls, lettuce wrap to pizza and pasta. It feels a bit short staffed so it was some wait to order the dish. Once we get the attention, the service is good. Overall we like the restaurant and would come back.
We are visiting Bay Area and went to CPK for my wife’s birthday with our friends family as we all love CPK. Pizza is very tasty. But only thing noticed is, all the drinks came with 80% ice and 20% drink, even though we asked less ice. Update: Visited this CPK on our recent visit in Jan 2024 and food is great and the waiter is very nice person. Noticed that very less people working but still he keeps updating on the progress and we enjoyed good food and ambience. Still more ice than drink even though requested.
The pizza was very delicious. Had a nice crunch to the crust. The chicken egg rolls we're a little too oily inside but had really good flavor. The waitress was very nice and was very attentive to us. We were sitting outside and my drink had a little baby bug in it. I let the waitress know and she gladly took it and offered me another drink.
This place definitely deserves review. The ambiance is quite nice and the way the food is prepared for you, you will feel it in the taste. Being a vegetarian, we had a lot of items on the menu. We had Mexican Street Corn in small plates. In pizzas, do taste Tostada, Roasted Artichoke with Spinach and California Veggie. Even their pasta's were nice. They provide bread with olive oil as a complementary before you order food. Do try their varieties of cocktails.
The food is very good, however the service is so slow and it sucks. I had to get up and ask someone to help get our order. We sat for about 10 minutes or more and no one even offered to get us drinks or anything. The place was practically empty when we went during the week and no one seemed to be interested in working or getting anything done. The management and workers do not take their job serious here and it’s sad because the food was delicious but didn’t feel like coming back because of the terrible service.
Got a free starter and went in and no one would look at me for 5 min until I walked up into their cooking area? (Maybe had 20 people total in the huge restaurant) Also took a long time to pay because they're card readers were broken. Ehhh. Not really worth coming back. (It was my first time at cpk) Also pizzas were small for them being $20.
When I first entered this California Pizza Kitchen, I was expecting good main dishes and delicious starters, as well as good service. However, this location fell very short of our expectations. The spicy buffalo cauliflower was delicious, but we only got about 8 pieces of cauliflower. The star of the starters was the White Corn Nachos. However, when we got to the mains, we were very disappointed. The Zucchini Scampi with Shrimp was so bland and all I could taste was lemon. The shrimp smelled old and portion was very small for $20. The thai chicken pizza was average and the cheese tasted of poor quality. On the bright side, a sparkling mango drink we got was good. Service wasn’t up to standard and the server forgot our complimentary sourdough bread and oil.
Had the Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. The dip was good and came with tortilla chips. Also had good portion. The pasta came with 6 small pieces of chicken, spinach pasta, onions & bell pepper slices. I expected the sauce to be more creamy like in the picture but it was pretty watery. Had to ask for chili pepper flakes to flavor it. I noticed all the other tables were getting small plates to use for their appetizers but we didn't. I also asked for my drink without ice but staff brought the drink with ice. We tried to order pizza to go in addition to the dine in orders but the staff made it sound like we are not allowed. He literally told us we can't order to go. So we asked again to see if he just didn't understand the request and it took us 2 more tries to ask before he said we can place an order. Whew! They have outdoor seating with heaters own because it's a cold day. Plenty of parking spaces around 12 noon but lot was full by 1pm.
I recently came here for lunch and ordered the salmon main dish. Very disappointed! Dry, stiff. Only good thing was the side, Mexican corn. Ask the waitress to change the tv to football games and I told her the channels, since it was Sunday. She said they have direct tv and it wouldn’t problem to find the channels. She settle for the first thing she found, red zone. They weren’t even busy.
Came in this Sunday for lunch at 11am. We were the 4th party seated for the lunch time rush but waited for half an hour before the server attended to us. Tables that had arrived after us had already received their entrees before we even had a chance to place our order. When it came to the food arriving, the servers did not have the small plates ready. Overall the place seems short-staffed and poorly trained. When it came to paying and tipping, we decided to tip slightly less than our usual 20%. However the server did not give me a chance to modify tip, she pulled the machine away as i was about to hit adjust tip or modify tip. I wasn’t feeling like being confrontational so ended up tipping the suggested option of 18%. Very awkward and strange interaction. We also don’t expect service like we’re at the Ritz but this was a very strange experience overall. I love the homely vibe of CPK usually but today was off-putting and makes it hard to come back here in the future.
CPK is half a mile distance from our house so we decided to give it a try today. This was our first order and is going to be the last. We ordered Margherita pizza, Wild mushroom pizza and Burrata pizza. Only the Margherita pizza tasted good. My husband picked up the food on time yet the pizzas were clearly cold. The biggest surprise was the Burrata pizza. They provided the burrata, basil and olive oil separately. I have never seen pizza being served like this. Are we supposed to bake it at home?
I ordered from California Pizza Kitchen through Uber Eats. The delivery was fast, so no complaints there. However, the pizzas themselves were disappointing. They lacked flavor — salty and dry overall — but that wasn’t even the worst part. When we opened the boxes, one pizza was only half cut, and the other was barely cut at all. The crust was so tough that we couldn’t slice it properly and ended up eating the toppings and crust separately.
Went in for an advertised menu item. I received a marketing email about it being the last weekend for Mikes hot honey pizza. I invited my colleagues to come too. Get there, we place an order 2 mikes hot honey pizza. The server comes back 5 minutes later and says they are not available. I asked for a manager. She comes and says they have the ingredients but it would take too long to prep the items. When I told her why I specifically came for she said “I didn’t email you, corporate did”. She was being nasty and nonchalant for no reason. That’s a horrible way to treat customers that came because of the company’s marketing. The marketing was great, it got us there. Waiter was great, he’s a cool young man. Management is sloppy, unorganized, and condescending. The manager specifically made the experience bad. My annoyance isn’t because of the pizza at this point, I ordered something else because it too late to go elsewhere. My annoyance isn’t the arrogance, and rude remarks by the manager. Do not come to this one!!!
