The food was absolutely delicious! Every bite was full of flavor. Highly recommended!
It's a nice small place with amazingly good food! I wouldn't mind the drive to get food from here again.
This place is amazing. First of all, its clean. It's hard to find a clean restaurant in Queens. So I'm grateful for the cleanliness. There was a bathroom for the customers to use. And the bathroom is also clean. The parking situation wasn't that bad. And as the food, it was amazing. Tou have choices. The veggies were fresh and well organized. I ordered the lamb and chicken mixed gyro. And it was a very large portion of food. I wasn't able to finish all of my food. My brother couldn't believe the size of the food and how good it was. I'm a very happy customer.
Let me start off by saying that I hate beef. But I decided to order a cheese burger from this place last week and the beef was sooo incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I loved the sweet sauce in the burger too! My family members are hard to please but even they approved of this place! (Btw I just ordered 4 more cheeseburgers now. Sad part is I’m not kidding. Heart problems, here I come!)
The food quality and the food is really good been there over 10 times their mix over rice and burgers slap
good place to eat at if you need a quick bite to eat workers are nice and food is really good and reasonably priced
It has become my usual go to spot. Well cooked food and great atmosphere. I have been eating from here for about 1.5 years now.
I love this place, the lamb and chicken are delicious, veggies are always fresh
The pricing is great, the food is great. However, what I find truly spectacular is the friendly personality of all the staff. Everyone is upbeat, kind, friendly and engaging. Never an issue with anyone, never an attitude. Whoever the owner is of this place they have a great crew and should be proud of the work they are doing for the community!
First time trying and was not disappointed 😋
The best chicken over rice by far in queens!
So I was driving home from work at night saw this restaurant and wanted to try the food. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and so was the food counter. Let's just say I was thinking the usual halal lamb and rice as I have tried before. But the rice was cooked to perfection. The seasoning for the lamb and chicken were perfect. The flavors and spices were to perfection. I would usually eat 1 portion 2 times. However it was so good I couldnt stop eating it. Service was meticulous and they make you feel very comfortable the way the food is prepared. Most definitely a new gem of a fast food restaurant. And the portion size was really great.... This will be my most favorite fast food place for late night dinner to go. Amazing staff.
Incredible value for the price and just about all food is delicious. They are spicy, but not overwhelming as some Indian and Pakistan food could be. French fries are awesome. Chicken wings may need improvement as they are excessively salty. For my $25 spending on sandwiches and rice dish, I was good for three meals.
I am a regular here. Food has been consistently delicious with reasonable prices, good portions, and very good service, as they're extremely accommodating to what the customers want with their food. I highly recommend this place!
Every hala I eat makes me sick. This place never made me sick once. Perfect everytime. Service is grate store is great food is great. Can’t go wrong coming here
I used to live in Floral Park, where everyone around there grew up eating the famous Hamza & Medina Halal Cart. After moving to Whitestone, I was now in search of a new Halal cart/spot. After trying about 6-10 different locations throughout Astoria, Flushing, Bayside, and College point, I can easily tell you THIS IS IT. Rice tastes unbelievable, the chicken is ridiculously tasteful. Side salad is always fresh; Top that with freshly warmed Pita bread for the ultimate chicken over rice. Now for the most important part - the white sauce is D E L I C I O U S. I mean what else do you look forward to when you eat Halal 🥴
Nice place with nice food, fair prices and friendly personel
En route to Long Island, I stumbled upon a Halal gem in Queens and couldn't resist trying their beef wrap. As a non-beef enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised! The wrap was incredibly tasty, with tender beef and a divine green sauce that elevated the dish to perfection. The quality and flavor exceeded my expectations, and I'm now a fan of their beef wrap. Service was friendly and efficient. This hidden gem has earned a loyal customer Highly recommended Keep it up guys
This is genuinely the best halal restaurant in town, chicken platter was awesome, extremely generous, and flavorful!
Very generous with sauces, and delicious food, thank you!
Tikka kabobs are the best I’ve ever had!
They got the best halal food! Good quality and good service as always!
Miss this food so much!! The taste is so delicious. I live out of state but don’t think about it twice if you are near by:)
The food here is phenomenal! They have the best chicken, lamb, and rice I have ever tasted. The flavor at Halal Boyz beats everything else in Queens! It was my first time here and I legit walked in and ordered my food and I was out within 5 minutes. Everything taste extremely fresh, I will never be cheating on Halal Boyz, this is my go to place now😋🤤
Great food. Workers are very nice and overall a very good and clean environment
Once I came once, I never stop. Food is consistently good and the given enough portions. I load up on that tasty cucumber salad. Chicken over rice is the fastest meal to get if you’re in a rush. Everything else they need to cook and prepare so it can add to the wait times.
Beautiful place with beautiful food and even more beautiful people. Very diverse menu and generous portions
Always freshly made and warm food prepared right away. Great flavor!
Bros can't even wrap a wrap properly. People order wraps for convenience of eating on the go. They wrapped it in burrito style, didn't even wrap it properly. As soon as I opened it, the whole thing fell apart on me. Like if you can't make a proper product don't advertise and sell it.
Halal boyz is a great spot to pick up some middle eastern eats and anything halal of course. The burger i had was the halal boyz burger and it was amazing it got mozzarella sticks in it. The staff is always kind and work so quick also they add anything you request to your burger or food.
I love this place!! The price is a little higher than the halal carts you see on the streets but I think it’s much cleaner and worth the extra buck. The workers are also super generous with the sauces. I also love that they give fries and offer different salads other than just lettuce like what the normal Halal trucks offer.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Halal Boyz late at night, and I’m so glad I could catch a bite. Their platters are absolutely fantastic, coming with a fresh salad and a generous side of crispy fries that complement the meal perfectly. The real highlight for me was their incredible selection of sauces—each one added a unique twist to the dish, making every bite exciting. To top it all off, they offer specialty ice cream, which was a delightful surprise and the perfect way to end the meal. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack or a full meal, Halal Boyz has you covered!
My go to halal over rice spot. Friendly workers greet you warmly. Super clean. Never had a bad plate with them. Keep up the good work boyz 👍.
recently visited Halal Boyz and decided to try their chicken tikka for the first time. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. I also took the cashier's recommendation to try the extra crispy pita bread, and it was a fantastic choice. The pita was perfectly crispy and added a wonderful texture that paired beautifully with the chicken. The service was really friendly, and the staff was eager to help with recommendations. I left feeling satisfied and excited to return. If you're looking for a great halal spot, I highly recommend trying the chicken tikka with crispy pita bread. Can't wait to go back
One of the only good places open late at night. great food at really good prices, my go to when i’m out. Customer service is always good they’re cool and always in a good mood
Super chill spot. Their meat is great quality, fresh veggies, yummy rice. Very friendly and accommodating staff as well!
Great quality food for affordable price. The mix over rice is great as well as the burgers. Zinger burger is highly recommended. Plenty of space to dine in as well as some tables outside to eat.
It’s literally love at first bite ! The “mix over rice” is incredible, and has everything you need in a one plate dish. I went to Halal Boyz two times in 48 hours. This was my first visit to NYC and I don’t feel that I’ll be trying any other halal place in any borough. It’s that tasty !
Real cheap and good Halal food although the hot sauce was pretty mild when they put it on my Gyro. Will recommend for the low price as me and friend got two gyros and half a dozen of wings for only 23 bucks. The hot wings are also not hot at all and I was slightly disappointed. Although I will not subtract stars since I know not everyone is that into spicy.
After reading the positive reviews, I decided to drop by. However, I wasn't aware of the hike in the prices for some items. I got the Chicken over Rice Platter and was expecting it to be $8 with taxes but the changed price was around $11 with taxes and service charge. The service charge is only applicable if you pay using a card. The table where I sat seemed somewhat greasy and I'd have preferred it to be cleaner. The store was clean though. The portion was huge and I didn't mind paying for it. You get brown rice, small pieces of chicken, lettuce, a mixed salad and french fries. The entire platter was delicious but the french fries and the mixed salad were the stars for me. They also add whole cumin to the rice and I really love the flavor of cumin. From my picture, you can see how the white and hot sauce were everywhere. They have the rice and the chicken already prepared so the food doesn't need much time to reach your table. Overall, I had an awesome experience! The employees were also very kind and answered customer questions and accommodated with their taste. I can't wait to try other options from their menu!
Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars. For starters, this place is immensely clean. It’s one of the cleanest places I’ve been to and my first time going in was yesterday - during a pandemic. The food was off the charts good! I had two Philly cheesesteaks and a chicken tikka - you’d best believe that I’ll be back. My pictures didn’t come out as aesthetically appealing as they should’ve because I just couldn’t wait to take a bite - the food smelled delicious!! It’s a bit of a drive for me, coming from Brooklyn and all but I’ll be back as this is definitely on my list for a late night option! The meat in the Philly cheesesteak was great, the chicken tikkas were finger licking good. I ended up coming here after visiting another location in Union, NJ a couple weeks back and I’m glad I took a shot on this! It’s definitely closer than the jersey location for me. Definitely try it out!
Definitely the place to go whether you want a quick bite, or a filling meal. The food is prepared fresh, and serving time of your order will depend entirely on the number of staff working the kitchen (who also serve the counter & take your order). This place totaly aces on the food quality, quantity, & presentation. The staff are nice enough to ask for your preferences and do exactly as you ask them to. Seating capacity however is not a lot, and not the most ideal one. You might be better off by doing a take away, as this place gets a lot of crowd. Another good thing is that its open till late which comes super handy. Lastly if you are hungry, and travelling to somewhere on Long Island in Rush hour on the LI Expressway (I 495), order via phone, just get off the expressway, pick your food, and get back on the expressway. This way your commute will be less irritating ;) Definitely worth a try is this place.
Always stop by here for a meal before work. Love their cucumber salad. The portion is decent, would definitely be full from it. Chicken was seasoned ok. Sometimes I feel like if I were to change something in my bowl or want something extra, their a little reluctant about it. Maybe it’s just me.
I was pretty satisfied with the service. Quick. No issues i had the falafel. My favorite truck is gone so I checked out this spot. I found falafel good. It was little over cooked but. I found portion very good 5 pieces of the falafel. Humus was great with salad green sauce
The food is great and the price is just right. Service is fast and fresh. The atmosphere is ok as if u can come by yourself or with someone. The only thing they need to really work on is getting sitting. They r so busy that all the 4 tables are taken all the time. I would recommend them to ppl. I have had the best best sandwich here.
Good food and clean place. Usually, I always get good customer service. I just hate when the guy rush3s me at the counter, and when I try to explain what I want, he rushes me..and then when it's time to get my meal and add toppings .. they wanna charge extra.. if he would listen in the first place, We wouldn't have to go through that. But overall, it's a good place. I would visit again. I wish they did small side salad.. that would be great.
I got the steak over rice, mixed chicken and chicken over rice and was very pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty these rice dishes were. I've had other chicken over rice dishes from other halal places and this by far is the best one yet.
Easily 4 stars! Fresh food, grilled right in front of me. Everything flavored, seasoned and prepared FRESH! Sauces were good and flavorful, apparently home made. My only criticism is that their Gyro wrapping skills need improvement. The wrap fell apart but still tasted great off my lap!!! Ok so about 3 it so years later. Still great! Still no gyro wrapping skills. I would easily go there for a quick and great priced food!
Good place to have a quick bite. Quick service as well.
A nice fast food place with gryos, burgers, platters and more. I would like to see more cleanliness in general for that subtle attention to detail. One of the servers was kind and courteous while the other had a face that said he is unhappy working there. Not much parking in front of the shop. The hot sauce is really hot! Be careful and don't add too much.
I recently visited Halal Boyz and had a pleasant experience. The ambiance is inviting, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. I ordered chicken over rice with cucumber salad, French fries, and sweet corn nuggets. The chicken was tender, moist, and well-seasoned, while the cucumber salad added a refreshing touch that balanced the dish perfectly. The French fries were tasty and well-cooked, although a bit on the greasy side. The sweet corn nuggets were a standout—crispy on the outside and sweet on the inside, exactly as described. They were served hot, and the flavor was spot-on. Overall, Halal Boyz is a great spot for halal food, and I will definitely consider coming back for another meal!
Solid solid place. Tons of options. The cool thing is when you place you order you get to customize it at the end sort of like the same concept of chipotle. They have different add on and toppings. I’ve never seen so many choices anywhere else. We always head here either before or after the movies. Plenty of seating and friendly staff.
Found this place in Google. Decided to give it a try, and to my surprise it was a really gold experience. The food was fresh and the quantity was also very well maintained and most of all, the price was very very reasonable. One unique thing they do is that they serve French fries with their platters and that really enhances the overall taste. Definitely recommend. (Chicken Platter).
Very clean establishment...great customer service...fair prices...Nice seating area outside when the weather permits. Indoor seating is also clean. Overall good impression. I ordered 2 chicken platters and lamb and chicken platter. Very well packed (I got it to go). Food was good and fresh. Will definitely comes here again. Falafel balls are delicious!
Old review: By far the BEST halal chicken over rice I have ever tasted. It’s so good that I skip the sauce and only get it with the cucumber salad. So much flavor going on in this dish 👍. Been eating here since it opened and the place only gets better. WELL DONE 💪💪 New review 5/21/24: Came here 6:30 pm. Noticed new Interior make over. About 3 customers ahead of me. Double parked outside and standing in line for 10 minutes to order. No one tells me that the service has changed , you need to pay at cashier first before someone helps you. Not organized & service is slow. Food is still good… Need improvement 👌 11/8/25 A good lunch option
Halal Boys in Fresh Meadows is a solid late-night halal spot open until 2 AM, perfect for quick, satisfying eats. I grabbed the mixed Kofta platter with beef and chicken, swapping the fries for pita bread. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned (8/10), while the beef landed around a 7/10. The fries were awesome, and the fast service and generous portions make it a great value. With a huge menu and cheap prices, it’s a top pick when you want variety without breaking the bank.
Ordered three dishes. The lamb platter: was very flavor and excellent 10/10 The cheese fries: Was ok, not bad at all 8/10 The hummus and bread appetizer: was the worst thing I had it was literally broken too which I’m upset that they decided to even serve something like that. 1/10 wont be ordering that again.
I want to give them a good rating for their food. But their service is bad. I called them twice to place an order but they don't start the food until I got there. I wanted to give them a second chance. Then they want to make the good on the fly. I see the guy pressing on the meat on a flat top and I know that's not good. I don't want dry rushed food. The first time I waited. The second time I just walked out. The good tastes good here though. Even thought they haven't passed their health inspection this year.
I used to take food from here for last 2 years. Food quality is somehow reasonable. They lack in business professionalism. Some of the staffs are ill mannered and absolutely don’t know how to behave with customers. They misbehave with customers.
Just another fast-food. Nothing special or great about there food. It's simple, and there French fries is hard and dry. Very typical fast food take out. Food is not very appetizing. You spend so much money on the food and you get so disappointed of the taste and end up not eating it is a total waste of money. Can't they at least improve there method of cooking. Or something.
07/01/2024 - my wife and I had chicken over rice here once per week since 2022. This was my favorite place. I don’t know what happened recently. Last week, I noticed the cashier is not the same person. Amount of food is significant less. I gave it another try this week. Food is not enough again. The chopped salad tastes wired. Even chicken tastes different. Hopefully, I won’t have diarrhea tomorrow. I’m not coming back again. Feeling bad for the place.
I want to give 5/5 for their amazing service and of course their delicious sandwiches who I pretty often order since 2021….same quality, same taste just Awesome 🫶🏼I highly recommend this place!!!!
I visited this place 4 days in last month everyday there’s something wrong. I called and ordered through phone they took my order after 15min I arrived I waited another 10 min double parked to get my food. Second day I went there with my friends we were 10 of us. They took order said 20 minutes but it was actually 1 hours 15 minutes , our food was half hot & half cold. PLEASE VALUE OTHERS TIME & WATCH OUT WITH SERVICES!!!
This place is dishonest. They charge a “credit card fee” per item and charge menu price per item if you pay cash. They tried to play it off as tax but I caught them when I asked why am I paying on tax per item and then tax again on the total. They had no clue. I also speak their language and the guy got on the phone with his boss who was acting “confused”. A credit card transaction fee goes per transaction, not per item. This is how these dishonest people steal your money. A $24 order cost me $28.26. Never coming here again, making a TikTok about this, I’m going to expose the Harram Boys. Disgusting. These scammers are hideous.
Truly sad that this place has been going downhill over the years. Halal Boyz has been my go to spot up until now. The food quality is bad and the chicken tenders I received were not even edible and undercooked. Stringy meat that felt like I was chewing rubber. They charged me $17 for these tenders plus a small sum of fries that were soggy. If you’re craving good affordable chicken tenders, make your way towards a halal munchies instead. The cooks here are always in a rush and yelling at each other. Almost everything they sell is made of frozen food and the “lamb” meat they use is not even real lamb. It’s just soft cubes of meat, that only have a “lamb” flavor. I’m not even sure if the meat they use are 100% halal. Not planning on returning again, waste of money and food ended up in trash. EDIT- To reply to the owner, do the pictures of the tenders look like “high quality” chicken to you? Would you even consume that? And for $17?? Maybe I should record your “professional team” the next time I pass by to show how they really are. Yelling and alerting each other in a non-discreet manner, in front of customers. You should definitely focus on training your team instead of claiming that your top priority is serving fresh “high quality” food
