Love chicken breast 2 breast and thigh combo was $14.06 extra breast was . 99 cents more good food thou and brought some Chile del Monte it made it alot better yummy
ALWAYS GREAT TO EAT AT THIS POPEYES. FRIENDLY STAFF, NOT TOO MANY FOLKS EATING IN. JUST PERFECT TO EAT HERE AND BASICALLY HAVING SOME PEACE AND QUIET, EATING TASTY WINGS W/ LEMON PEPPER & HONEY, WITH MY WIFE AND GRANDDAUGHTER. A HALF AND HALF TEA MAKES A PERFECT BLEND AS WELL.
Really well served and great taste I was impressed Popeyes was my first job growing up and its easy to find something wrong when you know whats required and this location has everything on point
The Manager Mr. Rafael at this location is very helpful and courteous and represents this restaurant very well and is what you expect in a Manager I recommend this restaurant. The rest rooms very clean and the customer service and food is great and what you expect from a great Popeyes restaurant
Love the chicken, the sides, the flounder sandwich, but the chicken sandwich is the biggest gem of the year anywhere. Ty Popeyes. Leaps and bounds above church's where I found hair in the batter of the chicken, never again church's. And KFC was always awesome, but the sandwich there is a difference of dressing if you want classic or spicy. Popeyes is the king!!!! Keep up the awesome work
The chicken was great, delicious. Breast and Leg, so good, will order again. Sides of red beans and rice , and mashed potatoes also good, but very small portions, for the price. Delfina, provided great service.
Real good good, but they have been struggling with their DT lines. Today it was exceptional. I have to give them credit on the service. Fast , hot, and the taste was spot on the way it should be. The shrimp was fresh & hot as was the flounder fillet fish sandwich. This is the best fish sandwich that i have tasted when it comes to fast food.

I went to get some chicken wings through the Drive-thru. I ordered the family meal. The chicken was freshly cooked and tasted really good. I will get my chicken at this location (University) from now on.

With my mobile order all i do is pick it up and go. Convenient and easy. Plus the staff is always polite and kind.
The reason I scored service one star is because these employees rarely speak English and I'm having to repeat myself several times so they can take my order correctly... I take it that they don't understand the English language so they get someone else to assist me through the drive-thru
I just went to Popeyes right now after a long day and I have to say that everything was a 10/10 the food was perfect and still hot and fresh and the service was amazing the whole crew that worked tonight definitely deserves a recommendation! Job well done, and you don’t see that very often now a days.
Food is good, place clean but the Spanish speaking female behind the counter needs to stop using foul language in front of the customers. She was loud and her language is terrible
Service was good. Just need to compare app specials to store specials to get the best deals.in store was cheaper for 12 chicken tenders, lg fries and 1/4 lb of shrimp than what placing the order through the app would have been.
Food was good, chicken looked and tasted fresh. The only thing I don't give it the 5 stars its because the customer service was not at all helpful. They didnt offer any condiments, or napkins. Drinks didn't have flavor.
Awesome service, they're taking orders one at a time, which is great. But they should be doing two at a time; and there app needs to be accessible if there's issues with order. No one answers the phone and things get forgotten. But, again, they're nice and friendly there.
I went through the drive thru and even though there was 3 cars a head of me I wasn't waiting in line long at all. Chicken was pretty good, not greasy or over breaded. The sides were very hot , thumbs up. However , I spent close to $40 on a 12pc and a small beverage and wasn't offered , plates , napkins or silverware. They also didn't pack any honey with the side of biscuits. I had to request all this and was limited to 4 plates , silverware etc.
You know why I came. To try their famous Clasic Chicken Sandwich. There was a wait to get and that's understandable since many people want it. The service could've been better. Some of the workers looked very dissatisfied there, but I get it since its a fast food restaurant and people can be very rude. Just a little constructive criticism. Amyway, back to the sandwich. The bread was very fluffy and the chicken was very crunchy. It was a good sandwich. I also got Macaroni and Cheese as my side, and let me tell you, it wasn't acceptable. It had a cardboard taste and was subpar.
The food is good but alot of things that you shouldn't ask for like forks and ketchup are often not provided in the drive-through. Just be specific and mindful of what they didn't give you and what they did. Way too many 1 star reviews but people are entitled to their opinions.
Arrived here about a half hour before they closed and you could tell the employees were done and they just wanted to go home. We were the only ones at the drive-thru, and even then it still took the order taker about 5 minutes to take our order because she was asking someone if the trash had been taken out and who had done it. Fortunately the food was still good, but this is why it's bad to show up anywhere when they are about to close.
Went by the drive thru, young lady working the orders her voice was very low could bearly hear her. Asked her to please talk louder it did not get any better. Food is okay...
Their chicken is very tasty but the pieces have gotten smaller than they were two years ago. The chicken sandwich is really good on a bun that is delicious. Service could be better. Most of the employees don't speak much English, but they try their best.
I have dropped KFC and Church's off my fast food chicken list. Popeye's is by far better when it comes to flavor and sides. The app has good deals. The service is a bit slow but the employees are nice, probably short handed. If you want food faster, go with the tenders. They seem to be ready and very fresh.

Chicken sandwich is to die for. However, their regular fried chicken is only meh. Prices are also higher compared to the competition. I've never had a bad chicken sandwich from this place. The chicken is always crispy to the point where you will here the crunch as you bite into it. On top of that, the juices inside ooze out as you continue eating. It's a lovely experience whenever I have the craving for fried foods. However, the same cannot be said for their regular fried chicken. I find the drumsticks extremely small. And while the thighs are decently sized, they are not always consistent. I do appreciate when they're juicy. But compared to other fried chicken places, Popeyes doesn't use enough spices to bring up the flavor of their chicken. Prices without any discount is way too high. While I do love their chicken sandwiches, there are other places that offer the same at similar quality (Chick-fil-a, Wendys, etc.). It costs around $9 for the chicken sandwich combo. And $10 for 3 chicken combo. At these prices, even Chick-fil-a is slightly cheaper. The app is a must if you want to save money and get extra food. They have many different offers as well as rewards system so you can rack up points each time you make a purchase. Overall, I love the taste of the chicken sandwich. However, because of pricing, it's not something I'll frequently get.
Spicy Chicken Sandwich was delicious, well seasoned, well breaded making it quite crispy, and the bread was warm and soft. The Chicken Tenders were crispy, in a bad way. The breading was very hard, and not well seasoned. Nonetheless, good food and a nice place overall, not very crowded. Good place to eat nice food, and be with friends.
Macaroni and cheese was mainly huge chunks of cheese. Red beans and rice, was was a bit too crunchy for my liking. But, I do enjoy thr strawberry lemonade 😋
We had chicken sandwich combos and they were quite tasty. My son's sandwich was spicy and I liked the spicy mayo sauce they added to his sandwich. I think I'll add the spicy sauce to the regular sandwich next time. 🤔
Good food however one of the strips i ordered had a raw spot. The flavoring of the strips was also very bland. The beans and rice however were good. Fast service. Would recommend if not for the raw chicken strip issue. But it could of been a one off. I will try this location again in the near future and see if the experience improves
My first visit to this Popeye's. Great location which is easily accessable. Staff was friendly and courteous and food was good...had the Cajun flounder fish sandwich meal with fries. It's real flounder by the way! In spite of the restaurant being mostly empty (4 people) ALL the tables and booths were dirty, the napkin holders empty, and floors had food particles that needed sweeping. No one was cleaning and restocking during their down time. If this location could take care of improving their cleaning and restocking habits they would definitely get a better rating from me.
It is what it has always been. Mediocre at best. Nothing to compare to Popeyes in Houston or anywhere in Louisiana. But I have never liked the soggy fries, they're supposed to be spicy and crisp, and down here are soggy. Please fix the intercom in the drive thru, you need to scream to order your food. It has been like that since before the pandemic.
Needs to improve in some respects. Going through the drive through, they said to wait 4 minutes but it took 15. We drove off and realized they forgot the fries. When we went back after all that, now having spent some 25 minutes, I was hoping for an 'apologetic gesture' but there was none.
The food is great and consistent with other Popeyes locations. The restaurant is clean for the most part, and although the service is rushed (even for a fast food restaurant), they treat customers fairly. The issue I have with this restaurant is availability. It seems they're always out of spicy chicken. A strong competitor to Popeyes is the same distance from our home but we usually pick Popeyes for their spicy chicken. Roughly 4 out of 5 times I've ended up sprinkling cayenne pepper on my chicken at home because they didn't have spicy chicken. I've gone on peak hours, before, and after as well and it's always the same result. What gives, Popeyes? Spicy chicken is a bit seller for you. Hell, your restaurant is "cajun" themed. How the heck are you not going to have spicy chicken ready for purchase? Either it's poor management or I always seem to trail big party customers. Get your act together, Popeyes - Church's is getting more appealing by the minute.
This place hires some of the laziest employees, who can even follow basic instructions. That’s because they only have two options for the chicken (Classic and spicy). Be aware they will mess up your order
Never have I ever ONCE gotten a correct order from any Popeyes location. The service here is so disappointing. I’m also convinced that they’re using tin cans at the end of strings to take orders with in the drive through because no matter how loud I speak they won’t hear a single thing that comes out of my mouth besides “Nevermind” when I inevitably drive away. I ended up going inside to place my order instead and the guy taking it was literally checking his snapchat while I was talking to him. His manager saw it and did NOTHING at all. I even had the order written out on my phone for him to read and he still did it wrong. You could order just a single cup of water and they’d find some way to charge you for it and screw it up by giving you a dirty cup. I wish it was the lady in the commercials cooking back there. Sad face
Bad service always misses some food
As much as I love Popeye's, I wish they loved me back sometimes. I made a drive thru order and it appeared that we had the correct food by a quick check in the DT line. However, after getting home and opening everything, we quickly found that none of the 3 sweet teas that were ordered were sweet, the 4 pc meal was not the 4 pieces of chicken that we selected and the 6 pc tenders was not spicy as ordered. To top that off, all of the fries (5 orders) were soggy and cold. Step it up Popeyes, when done right, by far the best ff chicken.
Every time we get delivery, they swap out large sides and give you small. Every time.
The service here is just terrible. I came craving a sandwich one time and I saw the cashier treat a customer in front so poorly that it killed my craving and I ended up leaving. The food is great but the poor service just outweighs it. I gave it one more chance today, went to the drive thru, and no spoke to me for 3 minutes. Left after that. That was the last straw and I’m never coming back again.
Very upsetting customer service , lady's could not understand English and were being rude to me at the drive thru for the communication mishap. Once I transitioned to speaking Spanish , they were upset and trying to educate me on there coupon policies instead of just redoing my single combo order. Was accused of not claiming I had coupon with me when I started the entire conversation with "I have a coupon code for .." . Again because of the language barriers, which I have no issues with it's the bad attitude that got sprinkled with.l my drive thru interaction. Food was fine.
Mixed feelings! Awesome potato and even better gravy. But that’s it. The chicken was... BAD. The legs were like the jumbo sized wings you’d get in a good day at Wingstop. That means they were tiny. And ok, tiny chicken but good? Ok that would be ok. But it isn’t ok. It was burned. It was dark... so dark that the little paper plates were badly stained. Not spicy at all.
We were expecting a good flavor, as other locations. Unfortunately we did get smashed potato and coleslaw salad which had a peculiar flavor (not fresh), it was like if it was about to get spoiled. We didn't go back since we were tired and that is the reason why we decided to go to a fast food restaurant. We will go back to the restaurant, but most likely to a different location. (I belive this is the reason why evryti.e we pass by this location it looks always empty).
Beans and rise was spoiled. Kids didn't like the child menu. Kids didn't get a biscuit. The chicken had to have been sick. It so thin.. yesterday was a bad experience. Also, very expensive for what we rec'd.
Food is good but customer service is real BAD. Waited at the drive thru 30 minutes the lady told me through the speaker to wait and never came back, no one ever took my order. I had to get down, thinking they where real busy but there was only 2 customers seated eating, no one in line. While I was inside, lady was very rude and talked to me as if I was bothering her. Went through drive thru, employees EXTREMELY rude, rolled eyes at us, did not put utensils or napkins... Put our card inside the bag with the food. Called the store to complain and employee pretended to be the store manager and then the actual "store manager" got the phone. Had to call corporate. Would've been 0 stars if it wasnt for the food... Food was aight.
Drive through dude was HORRIBLE!
Employees violated and failed to comply with legal requirements to health and consumer safety regulations. Employee who places food in the bag picked up objects from the dirty floor and same objects put them inside my order and cashier picked up coins from floor and opened my order touching food. I would give 0 stars
Worst chicken sandwich I've ever had it was like rubber it must have been sitting around for hours fries mushy cold the only thing any good was my Hottie sauce an coke. I'd give no stars if I could .
I ordered a 3 piece. The chicken was dry, hard to bite into, very salty. I liked the coleslaw, fries were very salty and tasteless in my opinion
The crew working there is always talking and gossiping. They don't even help customers when they are waiting in front of their faces. No quality, no customer service. Worst location. ———— April 25, 2021 - update So customer service still horrible at this location, food is mediocre compared to other locations. The staff are so incompetent, disrespectful and rude; specially the shift managers. How do they expect great customer service if the ones on top or in charge of the location are the ones who show no interest on making customers feel welcomed.
This was an absolutely subpar dining experience in every single capacity from the moment I entered the establishment. The cashier appeared to have the confidence of a child learning how to speak in public and was completely unsure of what to click for something as simple as an order of chicken nuggets, and once he did find the said "chicken nugget button" he pressed it twice. How? It's a touch screen. Once the issues with the chicken nuggets was "sorted", if you can even call it that, the employees working in the kitchen began having an altercation that involved yelling at each other as well as the exchange of foul language, which frustrated me, as now my order is going to take even longer because of this battle of the fry cooks that appeared to be occurring in the back. Food left much to be desired as well; location on Trenton and Mcallen locations offer a far better experience with cashiers that are at least competent and with much better food. The food here was almost soggy; not quite enough for you to call it detestable, but enough so that you can tell it's lacking in some capacity. The experience was so frustrating I didn't even care about the double charged nuggets or the fact that no drinks were included with my two combos; I was just eager to leave and never return.
Customer service is no longer a thing at Popeyes. They no longer welcome people to the store. They make you wait forever before someone comes to the front to take your order. All they care about is the drive thru. Not sure if all the stores are like that. But this location I am reviewing consistently doesn't care about customer service. Maybe it's time for the managers to step in
Slowest and unprofessional. Friday, April 22nd at approximately 6:30 pm., we walked inside to pick up because the drive thru was long. It took us 30 minutes to receive our order (10 piece meal/sandwich). Too many people just standing around doing nothing while some were working extra hard. Manager needs to emphasize customer service and professionalism.
First and last time I come here or to any Popeyes. They basically gave us old and somewhat fresh chicken tenders. The texture of the batter was stale, biscuits were hard and to top it off they didn't even give us a full serving of mash we were lucky to get half. We tossed half of the food and ate the rest out of pure hunger. What a waste of money. NEVER AGAIN. Don't know how this place has 3.9 stars.
Ordered a spicy sandwich and a tender box. And when my girlfriend got home. Sat down and got ready to eat. When we took the first bite both of us just spat out the food with disgusted face on us. All our food was raw. We called and they gave us the hardest time to correct there mistake. So we drove back and hand to get it settled. So we had to waste gas and time to something that could of been avoided.
Normally I don't leave any type of negative feedback but service today wasn't acceptable on any standards. Placed a mobile order on the app for pickup. The app said to pick it up at the front counter. Went up to the door and it was locked. There was no sign saying anything. Waited in long line in the drive through while other customers did the same thing as me (try to open to door and find out it was locked). After that they told me I would have to wait 5 mins for my dessert or switch it. I said I would wait. It took 10 mins instead of 5. They forgot my side. I called and it took 5 mins. When I open the bag to my side it was just thrown like nothing. Only 3 fries were in the fry bag. Worst experience ever from Popeyes.
Tried the butterfly shrimp, all breaded and not butterflied. Told manager, no comment, asked for 3 PC chicken said the don't have that and will have to charge per piece. $$2.39 for one breast. I passed. I do like their chicken and usually get the 10 piece mix. Won't be back to this location, manager needs customer service training.
I ordered a 5 pc tender and got 4. I ordered red beans and rice (reason for the stop) and fries. I got double fries and no red beans! Not cool yet not first time this happens. Check your order before leaving even if you need to hold up the drive thru line! I reside a few miles from restaurant or I would have returned my order. I will rethink where I stop for food next time!
Bad service and small small small pieces of chicken. My order was wrong, order spicy chicken and got regular pieces that looked like pieces of birds. I've been to this place 3 times and every time this place just does not cut it. Other Popeyes restaurant I have visited are great but this one I guess is missing good management.

Don't EVER pay with a debit card if you want a refund because they will never give it to you or argue to keep the money. Also, be careful with the chicken because it's spoiled/rotten. The reason I wanted my refund was because I purchased a box of chicken and the chicken had a foul smell/odor. Even when I took the first bite, it tasted like lemon/pickled vinegar. After I had taken the box back to the store and was promised my refund, I still don't have it. It's been 8 DAYS already. Don't DO BUSINESS with these crooked people. They'll just keep your money.
The person in the drive-thru is hard to understand. If you ask her to repeat herself or if you tell her that you don't understand Spanish, she gets an attitude. Please get someone who can talk more clearly and not rude. It is hard to order when you can't understand what this lady is saying and asking.. she doesn't belong in the dive thru. They've had her taking orders for a while now. PLEASE GET SOMEONE DIFFERENT TO TAKE THE DRIVE THRU ORDERS.
Several years ago I ordered a Turkey at Thanksgiving and it was awesome. This experiance was not. Inferior product, mostly skin and fat. Smelled like rancid oil. Mashed potatoes were 1/2 gravy. Corn on the cob was cooked a long time ago and probably in a galaxy far away. Pretty gross overall and rather expensive to be so low on the food chain. Staff were friendly, theres a positive.
We went around 8 last night they didn't have we enough green breans, tea, or mild strips so everything was substituted we get our food go home the fries were rock hard stale the chicken strips we're hard no crunch you could barely bite the chicken it was so tough, the biscuits were also hard like a rock. Now me and my youngest are sick he threw up after eating and I woke up with diarrhea. There is no excuse for this I will never be eating there again.
Agree with everyone else, customer service is not good, taste of chicken is bland and seems like they find a way to make it smaller. Not worth it considering all the options around the area. Hadn’t stopped in a while but wanted to give it a shot, disappointed.
came to drop off my sister back at college decided to stop for a quick bite the popeyes where we live are HORRIBLE so was expecting MUCH better considering it’s 2 1/2 hours away, my brother in law & I paid separately I was ticket 28 he was 29 he received his food pretty much immediately & was done within 15 minutes & here I am waiting STILLL for absolutely no reason because the cashier didn’t communicate with any of her co workers & went to the restroom so nobody knew I was waiting for anything thankfully I was refunded only good thing about the visit.
The lady at the drive thru had one car and couldn’t take my order. One car. Then after waiting about 20 minutes she doesn’t take my order and says “can you move from my window please?” This is going straight to corporate. 11/25/24 at 8:12pm
Ordered a six piece signature, hot wing combo, and the wing sauce was just Powdery, weird texture for me. One wing was pure fried, no chicken in it. Would not order, but I ate it because I was starving and I haven’t eaten breakfast and I was not gonna waste money.
Garbage. Avoid at all costs! Went 3 times over the course of the last month with coworkers and friends, they forgot my large sides on EVERY ORDER and when you call, nobody answers. I took my receipt and they told me that I couldn't get what they forgot because I didn't call! I swear, these people are something else.
I’ve been here twice where the same thing has happened. I arrived at 10:30 and they already have their fryers off. So they tell me what to order basically what they have left over so they don’t have to cook. The manager on duty Melissa said she can turn the fryers on but I would have to wait, I was okay with that except I wasn’t going to get the sides I wanted. Bottom line is you’re losing the business money who pays you to work. Left to Golden Chick
Went to Popeyes on 107 and McColl. Good was good at best. The shocker was when I ordered a side of coleslaw. $3.99 +8.25% tax can out to a cool $4.32. FOR A SMALL CUP OF MEDIOCRE COLESLAW. Restaurants have really upped the prices all over. Buyer beware.
To start off the customer service was a little bit off and they didn't smile. But to be honest that's a little nitpicking. Now onto the food. The chicken was very dry and virtually tasteless. The chicken batter was not very good either. The mac and cheese was not very good either, had a strange taste that wasn't my forte. The mashed potatoes were about average. As a few notes this was my first time trying Popeyes Chicken. I went into it thinking the food would be on par with other great chicken chains, but unfortunately from the first bite it wasn't that great. I kept wanted it to get better and better but that didn't end up happening. Out of the four people who ate the meal we came to a unanimous decision that the food could've been better. This is a no hate straight honest review, but unfortunately for me this maybe my first and last time choosing to eat at Popeyes.
Placed an order 20min ahead and when I showed up I was greeted with attitude and told they had no spicy chicken which is what I had ordered. Instead of trying to fix the issue the manager started blaming me for ordering spicy instead of mild chicken. To make things worse it was a manager with the attitude and I was told I had to wait 30min if I still wanted what I ordered basically 30mim ago.

Update 7-31-2022 very disappointing to give this place a 1 STAR ordered a 10 piece meal off a coupon great price but when I got home the fries were super cold and I didn't get my other family side which I ordered the rice with beans ... called and complained and the MANAGER HUNG UP ON ME! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AT A 1 AT THIS PLACE NEVER COMING TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN! VERY RUDE AND UNAPPRECIATED EMPLOYEES. What the owner should do is replace manager and get rid of her she's not very good a customer service at all I have 30 + and have I ever treated anyone like this customers are always right no matter the situation.
There is always something missing in my order I have tried giving this Popeyes location multiple chances and it’s always the same. They don’t have that many customers to be making this type of careless mistakes.
This restaurant has been by far the worst one I have ever been to they never get the order correct they always missed missing stuff either. They forget to put the mashed potatoes, the jalapeños or whatever you order they always Smith’s to put that and they never have your order, correct I’ve always had problems with this restaurant they don’t know how to manage this restaurant and they don’t know how to run this restaurant they need a lot of training they speak Spanish and they need to speak English for people. They don’t understand. They don’t know how to work the Popeyes app and they have the worst attitude ever worst restaurant ever I will never return to Popeyes because they don’t have great customer service. They should shut it down.
Terrible customer service. Ordered online and had to sit at the drive thru for 30 minutes. There was no apology or reason why it took so long. If I didn't remind them, they would've forgotten my drink. Ordered a large mashed potatoes, to find it only have way full. Food tasted fine but not worth the hassle. Go to another chicken place.
I ordered on the app about 8 minutes before I got to location and it's not ready. There's nobody there to say it was busy. It's not the first time, either. Very bad service.
Didn't even make it to order. Absolutely horrible customer service thru the drive thru.
Went twice, ordered spicy tenders, and paid roughly 20 bucks for the 5 pieces,(×2 40) only to be handed regular flavor. TWICE!!! The first time was a mistake the second is now a coincidence. Whoever is managing this place needs better staff. Last time I order from this location
Love popeyes.. just sad employees need an attitude adjustment. They just let my food sit there. It wasn't until what i think was the manager asked me if I had been charged and then handed my food and shut the window before I said anything. Get better workers! It's just as shame.
Don’t waste y’all money here they don’t clean the store the boss there is gross and the managers this store sucks
Just cook at home or go somewhere else the food is horrible here and idk why because it's in a very great location you figure it would be at least decent food but nope👎hard pass I rather drive farther to KFC 4miles away or Golden chick 2 miles away from here if I really want chicken
The manager, Sofia, was very unprofessional and rude. She really does not care about the customer and closes the store 30 minutes early. We got the wrong order the day before and we decided not to complain because the gentleman was very polite. We came back the next day (today) at 10:38 pm and Sofia said that their fryers were turned off. So, if the fryers are turned off, what can we order??? The sad part about is that we live right behind Popeyes and we go there quite often. We asked for substitutes and she kept saying that their fryers were turned off for the night and she really didn't care about anything we had to say and encouraged us to complain, instead of trying to resolve the issue. She provided us with Amanda, her supervisor's number, and no answer. So, we gave our business to Golden Chick, who also closes at 11 pm and who's fryers were not turned off. The Popeyes franchise will never see our business again.
Whats the point of sending coupons through mail if yall ain’t gonna take it! Horrible customer service, yall need new employees like yesterday! That Delfina lady changes up the policy when ever she likes. Do better!!
I don't even know where to begin!! I've never had such terrible customer service in my life! My 2 friends and I decided to order online because we had a few friends coming over for game night. We all placed our order around 7:07pm. Mine read 7:07 but one placed a couple minutes before and the other a minute or 2 after me I believe. By the time we arrived it was about 7:15pm. We went through drive thru to pick up the food and no one greeted us until my friend said something. Mind you there was NO ONE in drive thru. All my friend said was they're probably busy, he was telling us. When she spoke she said uhhh give me a sec. and that's it. No greeting, nothing! We wait about 3-4 minutes and then are asked what we wanted. We stated we ordered online and gave the 3 names. We are then told "uhhh uhhh OK ummm we have a long wait inside. Can you move to the trash can and wait?" So we pulled up to the trash can and waited. When we looked inside the windows, THERE WAS NO ONE INSIDE. Not one customer inside. We waited but as time went on obviously we we got really annoyed. After waiting more than 20 minutes, I decided to go inside and make sure they didn't forget about us. I hate going in and complaining because I understand how it can be sometimes with the food service. I see her getting the food and walking out with it and ask her if it's for us outside and I give her the names. She hands it to me and I walk out. I double check the bag and sure enough there were no sauces in the bag we asked for. I went back in to get some and NO ONE approached me or acknowledged me. They didn't say I'll be right with you or anything. My friend walked in and waited with me and I guess since he's a guy the manager came up to me finally after about 5 minutes of waiting. We told him we didn't get any of the sauces we asked for. He asked what kind and how many, we asked for 6. He came back with 3 and just stared at us and said NOTHING AGAIN. I finally said if it's extra I'll pay you just have to tell me. His response... "YA!" He charges me gets the sauces and walks away! We get home which we live less than 5 minutes away and all the food is cold. They gave us the wrong chicken strips for one order, another had 2 strips correct and a random chicken strip and 2 chicken sandwichs that weren't marked and and found out they gave us both regular sandwiches when one was supposed to be spicy. They were very rude and very unprofessional. We will never be going back.
Wanted to try something new and it was HORRIFIC!! the chicken was all SUPER FRIED SKIN ONLY, NO CHICKEN! and the mac-n-cheese was a HUGE GLOB OF (I DONT KNOW WHAT) cheese, I guess. The most horrible food i’ve yet to encounter. I Ate SOME OF it cause I was soooo hungry and regret it now cause I feel sick. DO NOT EAT AT POPEYES IN EDINBURG ON UNIVERSITY. THE WORST OF THE WORST!! Wish I could post pictures here but it doesn’t allow me to! I will be contacting their corporate office!
Rude employees, except for one working drive through. Waited 10mins or more for my order when there was no cars and the employees inside never came to charge me or give my drinks, they were just chit chatting. One employee kept going in and out and gave so much attitude when I asked about my order.
August 29, 2025, 1:50pm. horrible customer service! went to pick up an order and stood for a while waiting to be acknowledged by anybody. female manager was at register with head down the entire time, eventually looked up to ask if i was there for delivery I said yes, she looked at the tickets, said it'd be worked on and continued what she was doing. another female coworker went up to her and they started chit-chatting. manager disappeared, female employee kept walking around the kitchen. eventually the kid working the drive thru walked over and checked on me, still didnt fulfill my order, female employee finally came back and started packing the order bags. i saw she was packing mine, hoping I'd be leaving soon, nope. after she finished bagging it, she set it aside and continued chatting with the manager. then the boy working the drive thru asked me again what the name of my order was, saw it was already completed and handed it over. 4 employees. no one in the dining room. MAYBE 2 cars in the drive through the entire time. 2 other people came in with their orders after me and left within 5 minutes. 16 minutes I waited! never coming to this location again.
We went to Popeyes and not only did they take 5 minutes just to take our order with only one person in line but they all seem like they hated their lives and of course forgot to give us straws.
Every time I come here they take forever to take my order through the drive thru speaker. Today, I placed a mobile pickup order at 11 AM for 12 PM and when I got there, they told me there’s a 25 minute wait for my order which defeats the whole purpose of ordering ahead of time.
What a disgusting location. A year or so ago I went in to pick up an order. The employees were just hanging around, cussing and complaining in front of customers. The food was cold and a mess. Cut to a year or so later, against my better judgment, I gave them another chance. I pull up to the drive thru and as the employee turns on the speaker to take my order, she and several employees could be heard laughing and throwing things around. I just drove off. There's a reason the parking lot is always empty.
Worst customer service ever, especially coming from a manager “Melissa”. An order was placed online for a pick up at 7:57pm yesterday April 25, when we arrived order was not ready. Supposedly they were out of spicy chicken, and will be a 5 minute wait. Those 5 minutes turned into 20min, don’t know whats the purpose of ordering online ahead of time if they have to still make order upon arrival. But anyways that’s besides the point! After our 20 minute wait we recieve our order, bagged and tapped up. When we get home we open bag and we were missing some sides. When calling the store, store manager “Melissa” was being so unprofessional stating that she personally completed order and packed it. I don’t know how she’s a manager if she can seem to count yet alone get an order correct. She kept talking over not letting us explain the situation after a long conversation she said she would credit order. Following day we try to claim our credit and she denies what was talked about yesterday, and continues over talking not letting us explain. This lady is so unprofessional and should be looking for a different carrier or Popeyes need to teach their employees proper customer service.
I ordered through the drive thru, and used a coupon,. Told me to wait down the lane and was waiting over 10 mins until I had to get down and personally let them know my order was taking awhile. ONLY WHEN, THATS WHEN THEY PUT OUT THE CHICKEN TO COOK. (It was spicy but c'mon, 3-4 cars pass by untill I got down) . That's when I see all the workers just kinda lounging around. Some even sitting down or munching on something. (then told me to wait few more mins) I Love he food and vibe but the workers could have better Customer service. (I was respectful the whole time but definitely taking my money and time to another one next time)
