My wife's family is very particular and fanatics when it comes to Pok Pia and they would only buy from this small shop in downtown Medan. There is no need for arguments and negotiations when it comes to this scrumptious snacks. Most people would come for take away but it is best eaten there on their only table, freshly fried off the wok. A truly Medan's finest delight.

We had a delightful experience at Atak Popia in Medan! This family-run lumpia take-away place was a hidden gem. During our first visit, we didn't realize it was a take-away, but the owners graciously made space in their home for us. Stephen, the son, was incredibly kind and fluent in English, making our ordering process smooth and enjoyable. The lumpia they served was an absolute delight! We savored the delicious sweet and sour flavors, both steamed and fried. Each bite was bursting with taste, and the fillings were perfectly done. What truly touched us was their refusal to accept tips, showing their genuine passion for serving fantastic food and creating a warm atmosphere without expecting anything in return. We loved our experience so much that we visited Atak Popia twice, and we can't wait to go back for more. If you happen to be in Medan and have a hankering for some scrumptious lumpia, we wholeheartedly recommend giving Atak Popia a try. You're in for a treat!

It is their 2nd generation who run this "must try" famous most delicious Poh Pia along years in Medan. You can sit there enjoy eating it or take away home. By the way, during this pandemic COVID-19 season, gathering activity like sit there and eat together is temporary prohibited by the government law, and only take away is served at home address 113/77 Tilak Street Medan. The best lumpia/popia. Compared to lumpia from other city like in semarang, this one is on the different level. Originally in jln. Yoserizal, but moved to their home because of covid 19. Open from noon til afternoon and no dine in due to covid protocol. The taste is amazing a little bit sweet. They have vegetarian and original option.

My best popia in Indonesia so far. You can choose either fried one or normal one if not in the mood eat oily things. Price is a little bit crazy but worth every little penny. You can order it from Go-food if you are not in the mood to go outside.

Long queue but worth it. I love the fried one but if you want to taste authentic popia I recommend you go for the steamed one. Steamed one has more stuffing than fried one but fried one has a nice crunchy crust. The chili sauce nicely complements the flavour of the popia. Price is very much affordable. In my opinion, the popia here is the best and is unbeatable.

Every time I came to Medan, I always get a popia from this place. You can’t get this in Jakarta. It’s really yummy and cheap. You have to wait for a while since orders keep coming, but it’s really worth the wait. The insides are so juicy. Personally I like the non-fried one better than the fried one, but you should try both!

This famous Pohpia seller is a household name in Medan. They only sell 2 kinds of Pohpia - fresh or fried. Both have crabs and bbq filling along with preserved veggie bits. The dipping sauce is sweet and spicy which is a great combination. Food - 9 Service - 6 Vibe - 2 Price - $$$

Especially loves their steamed po piah. Price-wise, they may be the most expensive in town, but the fillings of the popiah are a lot, so it is worth the price. One of the must-try in Medan!

Pohpia itself is on the sweet side. The sauce is even sweeter. Unfortunately, the pohpia doesn't work without the sauce and makes the whole thing unpleasantly sweet. The portion is quite big.

I brought the fried and the steamed popia. If you don't like sweet food like me, you probably won't like it too. I found it too sweet (both the fried and the steamed popia), probably from the meat inside. The veggies are crispy and nice, but I can't get over the sweetness. I was hoping the sauce that came with it would at least be spicy to balance it out, but nope. The sauce is also sweet, and the combination of both is just nope. The fried popia is quite oily, and overall leave a bad mouth feel. One piece of popia cost idr 11.000 as per this review. I won't be coming back.

When it comes to popiah it's down to personal preference. I personally do not like this much as the aftertaste is sweet which is kind of weird for me . And it has buncis inside the popiah . So far in Medan i have tried different kinds of popiah none is close to my favourite like the one I had in Singapore where they have nuts and ebi in the popiah . For price it cost 11K each. Comparing to others i had in Medan is around 6-7K and it's preety good.

Gila cuy Nunggu nya 1,5jam cuma pesan 6pcs popia. Kalo memang lama harusnya di info dulu. Jangan bilang 20 menit tapi 80 menit baru datang. Smua yg dine in complain. Kalo gak siap banyak orderan, manajemen nya tolong di perbaiki. Percuma tempat bagus kalo pelayanan kyk gini.

The pokpia only has sweet profile taste, I don’t understand the hype about this pokpia. The sauce that it comes with is also sweet, it would have been much nicer if it’s chilli sauce. Overall I am very disappointed with the taste.
