Amazing food and service, best British pub near the Palace. We had a royale burger and steak frittes, phenomenal. Best truffle chips in London, fight me!

This had it all quintessential Britain and the aristocracy in one. The food was delicious right the way through. The staff were energetic and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Overall I could not recommend enough.

We booked the private room at The Thomas Cubitt pub for a Christmas get-together with friends and it was absolutely amazing! From the beautifully laid table setting to the delicious food, every detail was perfect. The staff were fantastic and a special mention goes to our waiter Bayden, who was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend for a memorable gathering!

Lovely atmosphere- was very buzzy the whole time we dined Good food albeit they had run out of some dishes when there Good gin selection as well as loads of beers on tap Decently priced bill

Christmas Eve dinner at the Thomas Cubbit (which will become a perennial family tradition). Dinner, drinks and dessert exceeded expectations! Thank you to Darrell, John, Skye, Roseanna, Jack (and Amelia) for an amazing experience. We will be back. The Sunday roast was exceptionally seasoned, Jack made me a bespoke Old Fashioned (asked which spirit I preferred (rum/whisky), Roseanna and Skye were on top of any needs for the table. Dessert was top shelf (I ordered the chocolate mousse).

Delicious food, but service is a bit slow - highly recommend the Sunday roast, we had the mushroom option and it was delicious. The panna cotta dessert was excellent as well. Service was really slow for us so we waited a while for the food and for the check. Nonetheless would recommend for a solid pub meal Went back for dinner and it was fab - the cheese croquettes, the whipped feta, the mussels are really good!

Just had a superb meal with my GF in Thomas Cubitt. Can’t fault the atmosphere, service and desert was probably the best I have ever been served. You must eat the chocolate mousse cake, with home made marmalade and brown butter ice paired with thier port. Great value for outstanding for any I eaten in many a top flight restaurant!

A fantastic gastro pub for a Sunday roast! The food was so good we couldn’t wait to take a picture before digging in—but we did manage to capture the desserts, and they were just as delightful as the rest of the meal

Wonderful, handsome, classy venue! At a very busy time of year the hostess seamlessly switched up our booked table to accommodate an extra guest, we had the best Margaritas I've ever had and genuinely one of the best roast chickens - and at every step the service was absolutely lovely. We stayed much longer than we had planned enjoying the convivial atmosphere and the excellent drinks. Recommended wholeheartedly, and we will be back!

Was recommended by a friend that lives in London and did not disappoint! Delicious food, nice ambience and conveniently located in the theater district. We went for lunch before the theater. Service was a bit slow (we had to ask for the bill multiple times) but wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't have another commitment afterwards. Seems like it would be a great place for a long, boozy, lunch!

I adore this pub! The service is exceptional, and the food is simply delightful. I enjoyed a chicken Sunday roast accompanied by chips; I opted for them since the potatoes were fried in duck fat, which isn’t really to my taste. We were seated on the top floor, where the decor is charming!

A glorious gastropub. Great food, lovely decor. Wish it was my local

The Thomas Cubitt Pub Belgravia was recommended to us. We had dinner on a Saturday night: solid food, excellent service, cosy place, and public transport nearby, and not as huge and impersonal as all the tourist places just around the corner. Recommended if you're staying around Victoria Underground Station or Pimlico (like us).

I was stuck without a place to eat on Christmas day. Every pub I went to was closed. Like an oasis, this place appeared and was wonderful. I was seated right away in a great seat and my meal was delicious. Got the rabbit, which is not something we eat in the US so that was extra fun and tasty.

In April, we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful Sunday Roast at the renowned Thomas Cubitt restaurant in London. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the exquisite Duck Liver Parfait With Five Spice Onion Jam And Duck Fat Brioche. The parfait was silky smooth, with a rich, decadent flavor that was perfectly balanced by the tangy Five Spice Onion Jam. The accompaniment of the buttery, flavorful duck fat brioche was a masterstroke, creating a harmonious interplay of textures and tastes. Another standout dish was the roast half spring chicken. Cooked to perfection, the chicken was juicy and tender, with a crisp, golden skin that added a delightful crunch. The roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables served alongside the chicken were equally impressive, showcasing the kitchen's skill in delivering a classic Sunday Roast. In addition to the delectable food, the service at Thomas Cubitt was exceptional. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was truly memorable. To top it off, the Spicy Bloody Mary we enjoyed was simply superb. The perfect balance of savory and spicy, it was the ideal accompaniment to our Sunday Roast. Overall, our visit to Thomas Cubitt was a true delight. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere created a dining experience that we would highly recommend to anyone seeking a sublime Sunday Roast in London.

🍷✨ Yesterday’s luncheon at The Thomas Cubitt Belgravia was pure magic. A huge thank you to Nancy and the team for hosting us so beautifully—every detail was spot on. From the setting under the trees (a little urban oasis!) to the absolutely superb food, it was an afternoon to remember. Meeting such a fantastic group of people made it all the more special… and the Mirabeau Pure Provence Rosé? A dream in a glass. Here’s to more alfresco gatherings, wonderful connections, and delicious memories. 💫🌿

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at The Thomas Cubitt last October. Our entire evening was exceptional: the house manager greeted us warmly (so embarrassed I forgot his name) and checked back in with us throughout the evening. The wine and food were exceptional and well priced and the atmosphere (we sat in the upper level) was warm and congenial. This is a not-to-be-missed spot in Belgravia. Next time we are in London, this will be our first stop for dinner; we’ll be sure to leave room for an after-dinner pint in the lower-level pub next time!

The Thomas Cubitt is an absolute gem of a pub in Belgravia. I often go as I love the vibrant atmosphere. The atmosphere is great, the staff are fantastic, courteous and polite, especially Paul who is always welcoming. I am not one to leave reviews, however the service I receive at the Thomas Cubitt, especially from Paul has meant that I feel it would be unjust to not share my experience.

My family's favourite pub in London. Hands down. Our daughter introduced us to this place and we came for Sunday Roast 3 weeks ago. It was such a splendid experience, we went back today. Everything here is perfect -- the service is consistently excellent from every staff member who served us; the food is prepared with tender loving care as evidenced in the taste and presentation; the ambience is old world, tasteful and not staid; the desserts are exquisite. We'll be coming back on our annual visits to London and will highly recommend it to our friends.

I really love this restaurant. The food is great but more importantly the service is excellent. We’ve visited several times as locals and love it most when Darrel looks after our table. Some aspects of service can’t be taught and the personal touch and lovely menu has us coming back for more.

Ignore all the negative reviews- they certainly don't reflect the experience we had. We booked Sunday lunch for 9 people and were sat in one of the upstairs snug dining rooms. Cannot fault the food which was superb. The attentive but unobtrusive service we received from our waitress made the meal extra special. Highly reccomend

Really lovely pub with good food and nice vibe. I had the special fish and chips which was excellent and friends had the roast and said was really nice. On the more expensive side but that’s belgravia and worth it for a nice lunch

A fantastic dining experience here. Just got here in time to order some food. The Battered Haddock was absolutely fantastic. Great moody vibe with a vibrant amount of people. Definitely would recommend 👌

Came for a light bite and some wine 👌 👌 the place was full as it was Saturday, however we still managed to find a table outside to enjoy some food. Delicious starters… we’ll come back for main dishes as the ones they didn’t serve outside.

Lovely location to sit and watch the world go by on a quiet road surprisingly close but a world away from Victoria Coach Station. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly. I had the champagne cocktail and the partner had an Aviation. Fascinating to listen to the nonsense posh conversations from the neighbouring tables about money and sometimes money and other times...money. We didn't try the food but it looks great.

A pleasant atmosphere for a Sunday roast, comfortable and stylish environment. The dishes are delicious and plentiful, the staff is also very friendly, helpful and competent.

This was incredible. Our fish and chips (battered hammock) was one of the best I have ever had. The portions are huge. We were hungry and still could have shared one portion I think. The waiter convinced us to try the chocolate mousse which was more of a fudge and we did not regret it. It was such an amazing rich texture with the most amazing orange marmalade.

Took some clients here for lunch. Was phenominal. Lovely location, variety of food and beers. I couldnt grab too many pics as we were with clients but the salmon and artichokes were great. Padron peppers and sourdough insane. The pink firs weren’t my fav with the mint. Apparently Tim Minchin was eating there too! Good company?

Second visit to this place, think its safe to describe it as an upmarket gastropub which i believe is a good description of this friendly place. Dog friendly, outside seating is great and the burger was moist and delicious, brioche bun was lush, partner has fish and chips which was lovely and fresh. Expresso martinis and margarita cocktails made this a visit to remember, cost £93 and think this is good value

Fantastic Sunday Roast in a typical British atmosphere. Sunday roast of different types: beef, Turkey, pork, lamb and venison all served with each particular sides and sauces. delicious. to complete the lunch long list of draft beer and cask beer. desert can conplete your experience. very nice to be repeated soon.

Fantastic Pub, especially the service, special shout out to our waiter, Nathan. He did a fantastic job, knew all about the wine menu, must have had vast previous experience!

My go-to pub, always great service from Mohammed and Orlando, attentive all evening! The best pub in Belgravia. Would recommend the steak tartare and Hugo spritz.

Organized a Sunday Roast Birthdaylunch for my UK friends there and loved it! Everything was spot on: very nice location close to Victoria, lovely private authentic room, delicious non fussy food that came on platters, great wines and above all the lovely Bella who was our host, incredibly helpful and nice. Highly, highly recommended!

Literally the best gastropub in London. Food is incredible, wine is excellent and well priced for the quality. All that is fantastic, but it's the staff which really make it what it is. Love the Thomas Cubitt

Very nice local pub. Great food and drinks. The amazing girl Egle served perfectly. Recomend

This is a lovely pub with excellent service but the food was initially disappointing. We had the crab and fennel on sourdough for starters. The crab ‘paste’ was barely there hiding beneath strips of fennel. My lamb shank was tough instead of the falling off the bone expectation. Our waiter on being informed was excellent, he couldn’t have been more apologetic and helpful. My companions meal was also returned so that we could eat together. The chef agreed it was tough and not acceptable so both our meals were freshly cooked and 25% taken off the main course cost. The second lamb shank was excellent so perhaps it was just unfortunate. I can not fault the way this issue was handled so would have no qualms in returning.

The food is almost always delicious but service can be hit and miss. Lots of attitude from one of the servers on our last visit although the rest of the team was great. I’d recommend overall

An interesting Georgian era pub and dining room named after a local builder! The pub was fine after getting over the threatening welcome signs outside "Private news, no standing or mobile phone use". A good beer or two and friendly attentive staff. A couple of cask ales on offer along with a range of keg lager, cider and Guinness. An enjoyable drink.

A great little pub in the heart of Belgravier where you can eat and drink in comfortable surroundings. The food, although pricy, but you are in the heart of Belgravier, was delicious and the service was quick. There is a good range of beers and wines to choose from but the seats could do with some cushions as the hard wood can get uncomfortable after a while. Staff were friendly and polite. Watch out for the £2 they add to your bill, for saving the trees, without asking you. However, well worth a visit.

I’ve been here twice now for a Sunday roast with friends. Would recommend not doing the “family style” one as you definitely end up with a smaller portion than ordering an individual plate. The beef was good, they forgot the yorkshires though so we had to request them and then they arrived halfway through the meal. We were sat upstairs and were the only table there (at 2pm) so it was lacking in atmosphere a bit. Cauliflower cheese was a great add-on, would recommend. And the ice cream was great!

We enjoyed a lovely evening, with dinner hosted in the private dining room for a group of 20. The drawing room itself is beautiful, spacious, and well organised, with thoughtful touches such as an AUX connection for music. The waiter was also excellent—helpful, attentive, and very considerate of our group throughout the evening. I will note that the drawing room's floors felt a little hazardous as it's uneven, and the ladies in our group kept tripping because of the cracks and gaps between the floorboards, which caught their heels. In particular, a pair of new Louboutins heels was ruined because of this... My main feedback relates to the set menu, which unfortunately fell short of expectations. The food felt quite basic and somewhat reminiscent of school cafeteria-style catering. Each course was served on shared platters and arrived fairly cold, with limited variety: a simple salad, scotch eggs, roasted chicken, steak, and a ginger pudding to finish. The dessert in particular was disappointing. The ginger pudding was very dry, with an overpowering ginger aftertaste, and was not well received by most of the group. It also felt odd that this was the sole dessert option; something like custard or an alternative choice would have gone a long way in balancing both the dryness and the overall experience. For a set menu - especially at around £70 per person excluding drinks - I expected a more cohesive and considered dining experience. The combination of cold, somewhat random platters and very plain mains (chunks of steak and chicken) felt uninspired, and the dry ginger sponge as a finale was, frankly, anticlimactic. Overall, the space and service were excellent, but the food did not live up to the standard I would expect from The Thomas Cubitt, particularly given the cost.

We visited for a Tuesday lunch so there was not much of a bustling atmosphere as a result. The food is tasty but the special description should have been better: the venison pie turned out to be a minced venison “cottage pie style” pie with mashed potato on top. After asking the waitress if potatoes/starch was served with the meal, we were told it did not so ordered extra chips. However, it turns out that it was a mash topped pie rather than pastry topped. The wait staff we interacted with were clearly not experienced but also there was no personal interaction/conversation to help this position. Over the past 3 years, the experience has changed and could be improved based on my comments above.

The person in front is very friendly and kind and it is a pretty place and that’s where it ends. They got very busy very quickly and staff is unable to handle it. I was waiting for food for long time. Then my beef carpaccio arrived brown. Food has the potential to be nice. Bread is great :) but the rest is off. And I think it is all because they are short handed.

Food was tasty. Portions a big meagre. Good service in general and in particular from the Portuguese waitress.

P

Beautiful pub but the driest roast chicken I have ever had - I think they had been cooked and just left under a warming lamp as the food arrived in about 5 minutes. Potatoes equally dry and when we asked for extra gravy we only got a thimble. I could barely talk to my friends because my mouth was so dry

D

The food is average at best, and certainly not worth the upper end of average price tag, it’s just middle of the road, typical carvery, nothing special with such small portions that as a group we were rather taken aback (group of 6). The service was unbelievably slow, I wasn’t expecting much but I was rather surprised at to wait time for 2 glasses of wine, 20 minutes is a bit much, again, I’m not expecting miracles but how long does it take someone to pour two glasses of wine? As a table we spent a decent amount of money, and honestly it’s not somewhere I would bother coming again. I tend to like to spend a bit more than the average to try to secure better quality ingredients/dishes/service. This wasn’t really worth the trip. If you’re looking for a special occasion I would advise you to avoid. If you’re looking for a middle of the road bite to eat and you’re not in a rush, go for it, but you’re going to be waiting rather a long time, so factor that in.

P

Underwhelming. We ordered beers and tap water, tap water it was, warm and no ice. Starters, average , no bread and who serves mussels with a knife and fork? And it’s usual to pull out the broken ones. Main meal, monkfish, overcooked and overdosed with salt. Half a red onion that was nearly raw, outside was browned and ok but inside was a raw onion. The chick peas were ok. Chips with Parmesan cheese that looked like it was the leavings from the bottom of the fryer, we couldn’t even eat those. A piece of lamb with about half an inch of fat floating on the top. The lamb was a generous portion and nicely cooked but why not at least skim the oil off? The side salad was indifferent. It was ok and had it been pub grub at £50 for two meals I’d have said it was ok but it was £132. Good atmosphere and the staff were helpful and cheery, but, as my old school reports said, you must try harder.

N

Food was not good. Over spiced, too much deep frying, oily and even the vegetables were overdone and smothered in oil. Good bread and the butter had a nice taste. Nice crowd of people and it does get very noisy, I struggled to hear conversations at our table but I didn’t mind as we enjoyed the buzz. Waiters are run off their feet upstairs and because of the loudness they have a tendency to approach the table shouting to the point it was irritating. They did this too often when all we wanted to do was enjoy each others company and hear the stories of each others lives. The guy downstairs welcomed us in with a calmness and law and order.

I booked this pub for a special occasion after not seeing my friends for over seven months, hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. From the moment we arrived at 6:30pm, the service was incredibly slow. It took 45 minutes just to get our drinks, and then another 30 minutes before we were even given food menus. After that, we waited yet another 30 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We didn’t end up eating until after 9pm. We were told the delays were due to a staff party happening upstairs, but if you’re open to the public, you should be able to accommodate your guests properly—especially those with bookings. Throughout the night, empty glasses were never cleared, no one checked in on us, and most disappointingly, no one offered an apology. We ended up removing the service charge, and unfortunately, none of us will be returning. It’s a shame, as we were really looking forward to the evening.

I used to enjoy the Thomas Cubitt with relish. No longer. A friend and I were there this past Saturday for lunch. It's important to note that the food was tasty and the service was adept. So, it should have been a lovely experience -- the kind I used to have there. But most of the clientele were incredibly shouty, even screaming their opinions at times. When did the TC become a haven for boors? I'm not talking snobby, socio-economic codswallop... These were cut-glass voices shouting non-stop in the upstairs dining room -- not convivial. Downstairs in the bar, it was even worse. My companion and I sought refuge at the ArtSpace Cafe where, despite the noise from a packed room, we still managed to have a jolly convo and enjoy the vibe. And that's the point -- the vibe had been stripped from the Thomas Cubitt...replaced by a ferocious din from seeming narcissists. Dearest TC, what has happened to your civilised self? So sad.

We had a reservation and showed up promptly for 8pm. We placed our order shortly after and were left waiting for wine. This arrived after 20 minutes. The mains eventually showed up an hour and 8 minutes after we ordered, the mains! This is despite the fact we ordered starters, which showed up about 10 minutes after the mains to a table far too small to comfortably fit everything. Bizarre. We were sat at a very small table and they left the bottle of wine on the bar to save space, they said don't worry they'd keep us topped up. They did not, we had to go up to the bar, bring th bottle over pour our own wine and then go back out the bottle back and sit down again. Each time they'd make a song and dance about being sorry and that they'd do it before leaving us with empty glasses again. With over an hour before food showed up, we had finished the first bottle and the waiter suggested that perhaps 2 free pints would make up for the delay. I suggested that the minimum he could do would be to replace the bottle we'd drunk while waiting. He said he could not do that. Even if he could it was already a ruined dining experience but that was the icing on the cake. If you want to feel like a valued guest, I strongly recommend that you avoid this establishment. I didn't even get into the wait for condiments or the soggy fries. I've enjoyed trips to the dentist far more than this meal.
