Tonight was our last night in New Orleans, the end of Southern Decadence. We made a non-cancelable reservation at this restaurant for 9:15 for two, but my boyfriend was admittedly too drunk and tired to eat there. The staff all noticed just as quickly as I did and were prompt in preparing our food and packaging it to go, seemingly making an exception to their policy. They were beyond accommodating, the restaurant seemed classy and the food (which we took back to our hotel room) was excellent. Five stars; I advise against the ‘obligatory’ hand grenades prior to eating. Huge thank you to Tim, who I think was the floor manager, for helping out in getting us in and out.

Had the most amazing Ceviche that I have eaten so far in the US at this restaurant. I could not decide what I would like to eat, so I ordered three small plates. But start at the beginning. This restaurant offers seats outside and inside. I went on Monday night on purpose as I figured I could be more spontaneous regarding timing. Beautiful restaurant with lots of attentive staff. The menu was bigger than I expected due to daily specials. I will add the menu as example since they switch out dishes. I ordered a snapper ceviche with citrus, radish, sesame and Pooja as well as tuna crisp with cherry tomatoes, corn and pepitas. The sides sounded super tempting as well, so I had eggplant with almonds, sambal and basil. Honestly, I enjoyed it so much and ate super slowly since I did not want to be done with this delicious meal. I was happy and quite full afterwards though I had a look at the dessert menu. Not really my taste. A mixture of pies, cakes, pudding and ice/sorbet so I passed.

The restaurant atmosphere is bright and sunny. I love that it’s not the typical dark and dank places that NOLA is known for. We ordered 5 small plates for 2 people and it was plenty of food. The crab claws soaked in peppers and mint were out of this world. Definitely Asian-inspired with as much mint and shallots they put in there in addition to a nice vinegary sauce. How they got so much flavor into little crab claws is beyond me. The steak tartare was served already on toast so that is very convenient. The flavor was also delicious. The smoked tuna dip looks simple but the flavor was smoky and complex. It was really creamy and great. The crab rice was served in a hot black stone casserole dish. The flavors were Thai-inspired with a curry topping. I’m glad they served it with a vinegary cucumber cilantro salad because otherwise it would be too rich. The fried catfish with pickled greens sitting in a broth was good - while it wasn’t the best dish that we had, it was absolutely tasty. I’m always baffled when restaurants served fried food soaked in broth - it ruins the fried coating. We just ate it really quick so the coating didn’t get too soggy. Overall, I definitely recommend Peche. It is so good. While the service is slow, I didn’t mind. The food made up for it.

The Baseline

The Baseline: For a seafood fine dining the fish/seafood needs to be fresh, the presentation must excel beyond a casual seafood place, there must be a selection of accompanying offerings, and there are unique offerings. Food: It has been 15 years since I have tried a raw oyster because of a bad experience at an unrelated restaurant. I heard that Peche was one of the best in New Orleans. Thanks to Peche, I broke my 15 years hiatus and I am enjoying raw oysters again. Drinks were awesome, flavorful, and loaded properly with the right amount of booze. The Little Red Corvette was my favorite, but angry pirate and the chamomile circuit hit my cocktail spot as well. I also had several of the other small plate and entree offerings which were excellent. The Jumbo Shrimp with coconut, cauliflower, and rice grits was delicious and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The Seafood Gumbo is good but is very seafood forward in flavor so if you enjoy a gumbo with more land based ingredients I would avoid. For sides, the greens were prepared with a coconut milk that might not what you expect but is very flavorful and unique to Peche, the Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly and were tasty. The Shrimp Toasts really hit the spot for a snack/appetizer especially with the sauce. The hush puppies had a great ready crust with a soft interior that helped enhance the flavors. The star though are the Brabant Potatoes… I wanted more of those. Crispy outside with a soft pillowy potato inside that makes you want a double/triple/quadruple order of them. Finally desert, the Key Lime pie was tart and sweet with a great custard consistency. The Peanut Pie was the desert star with a pecan pie level filling with peanuts substituting the pecans. This is a must have desert for anyone who doesn’t have a peanut allergy. Service: My water glass was never empty and dirty plates never got to park themselves on the table. The wait staff were engaging, informative, and excellent with their service. Ambiance: The restaurant has a nice high class feel to it without making you “suit up”. The kitchen is in display and the bar is well stocked with most spirits you may enjoy. The bathrooms are clean.

Highly recommend! This was our favorite meal during our trip to NOLA. Joey was AMAZING - friendly, welcoming, helpful with the menu and area recommendations. This was the best service I can remember! We were very happy with our choices. Even though we were full, the key lime pie looked delectable and we devoured it! Don’t miss this gem!

This is my favorite restaurant in NOLA! The food was so good that we came back the very next night for dinner. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and incredibly well prepared. My top picks were the seafood gumbo, snapper ceviche, spicy ground shrimp pasta, and the whole redfish. The Brussels sprouts made for a fantastic side, and for dessert, the carrot cake with ice cream is an absolute must try. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation.

One of the most memorable meals I had in New Orleans. The flavors were layered, creative, and full of surprises, clearly the result of a thoughtful kitchen. I was also impressed by how smoothly the restaurant was run. Our server asked for our full order at the start to ensure perfect timing between courses and help the kitchen with planning, which was a unique approach but made the experience feel seamless. I ordered the baked drum, and it was outstanding. I highly recommend it!

We were here for the Essence Fest and was looking for some good New Orleans food. Both of my parents are from Baton Rouge so I’m used to good southern food and this place came highly recommended. We pretty much ordered a little bit of everything on the menu and I must say everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded however, the service was a bit slow and maybe that’s just the southern hospitality at work so I gave the service 4 stars and the drinks a 3…too sweet for me but hands down this place delivers on the food.

My husband and I ate dinner here and loved it. Get the oysters! The steak tartare was incredible as well. The only feedback I have is that the key lime pie (which I was extremely excited about) had almost no flavor. It could have been just our luck that the specific slice we got wasn't great. Also, please give Sam and Mary (I believe those were their names, they worked as a team) a raise. They were so kind and welcoming.

Absolutely special restaurant. Casual vibe, excellent food, unpretentious atmosphere and the right pace. Everything was perfect, from the host to the shucker to the runner to the bartender. Perfect spot.

This was the best meal we've had in a while!! Service with Angelo and Pablo was fabulous. Tuna collar, kale salad, fried bread, turnips, jumbo shrimp were all delicious!

Absolutely incredible meal, best hush puppies I've ever had. The fried okra is out of this world. The drum is not to be missed. We were lucky to have a large group, so we were able to go family style and try lots of different dishes. Put this food in your mouth.

R
Rachel Nettle

Fantastic crab dish, but some of our other dishes were very salty. Service was great and clearly a spot loved by locals! Great value overall. It’s very load so if you are hard of hearing sit at the counter so you are next to each other.

Loved the experience at Pêche. I’d just recommend trying to create a separate fryer for individuals with allergies. Probably the best Grilled Fish I’ve had in years. Highly recommend if you are visiting New Orleans or want to celebrate with family and friends. The staff are most helpful and really pay attention to the smallest details.

My new standard that I'll compare the rest of my meals...doubt I may find any better. Chefs are on point here. All of the food is superb. Best fish I've ever had. Gumbo was money and the rue was perfect. Best fried okra I've ever had. Swordfish was plated with the best sauce... breathtaking good. Honestly best restaurant in Nola for seafood.

Great staff, atmosphere, service and food. Would go again when next I'm in town. The beef tartare was also really good as I saw in other reviews, would def recommend.

Came here after the WW2 Museum and enjoyed some shrimp pasta and some appetizers (brussel sprouts, grilled zucchini, fried bread). The food was phenomenal and I enjoyed the Empire of the Sun cocktail. Service was pretty confusing re: who our server was meant to be and it felt like this caused some delays. The interactions were great when we had them and the staff were helpful. Overall, 5 stars from me!

M

Really enjoyed this dining experience. Got the fried okra and fish sticks to start. The jumbo shrimp and eggplant was amazing. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts too! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The staff was really kind as well. Great spot for a date night or girls dinner out.

Wonderful service always. We love sitting at the bar, it’s like dinner and a show. The shrimp and eggplant in sambal was amazing- so sad it’s just a special that isn’t always available. I’ve come here with a friend who had a ton of dietary restrictions and they just created something off menu for her and it was all delicious. Some cocktails are a bit spirit forward so be sure to ask for reccomendations if you don’t love that.

We recently had dinner here and had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent, as was the food. I had the grilled tuna with butternut squash—I am not sure that I’ve ever eaten a vegetable as delicious as that squash. Amazingly good! The tuna was delicious as well. My husband had the grilled chicken with brown rice congee and greens. He enjoyed this entree as well & could not say enough about how good the greens were. It certainly says something about a restaurant when we can’t stop talking about the vegetables, right?! Just incredible. Our server was friendly and attentive, as were others who checked on us, brought refills, etc. Just a terrific meal in New Orleans and I’d love to eat here again one day. Definitely make reservations—they get busy quickly, even on a weeknight.

Ok, wasn’t speedy! So there’s that. If you want speed go to like… fast food? But it was my favorite meal in 6 years in New Orleans. Seafood platter. Everything was perfection for four annoyingly picky diners! Peanut butter something for dessert. A real treat! I almost forgot!!! The Mai Thai was the 2nd best I’ve ever had. I almost forgot to drink it because the food was so good and I told Monica (I think that was our lovely server’s name) what a compliment that is to the FOOD! Heck yeah! Eat here!

Super delicious dinner and drinks! The gintilly was refreshing and light. Our waiter let us know about the snapper collar, which was a special menu item that blew us away. 10/10

Our first meal in NOLA started out right! We came for a light lunch and everything was delicious. Smoked tuna dip , catfish w/ pickled greens + chili broth and fig salad were fantastic. Our server helped us pick out or adjust things to make them gluten free. My husband also had the seafood gumbo ( not gluten free) and loved it. We plan to come back for dinner on our next visit.

M

What a wonderful treat as we had a business dinner here. From the moment we entered through the entire evening, the team was consistently on top of their game in taking care of our party of six. The food was solid from the smoked dip to the shrimp toast to the fried okra and more. I really can’t rave enough about how much we all enjoyed our meal. The desserts too were the perfect way to wind down the evening.

A must do for seafood in NOLA. The baked drum, fried oyster and arugula, and jumbo shrimp with purple rice were all excellent dishes. This will be at the top of my list for recommendations on where to eat seafood in NOLA. Being able to eat at the oyster bar watching oysters being shucked is a great treat. Reservations recommended for lunch and dinner on the weekends if you want a table rather than sitting at the bar.

C
Camille Marrero

I went there to have a solo-lunch. My server was very attentive and provided great recommendations. I ordered the mahi-mahi fillet with butternut squash salad and it was delicious, the fish was a little bit salty for my taste, but overall the food was of high quality and it was obvious that it was prepared with so much care.

K

I am NOT an oyster person by any means, but the wife wanted them, so we got 6 local wild harvested, and I am here to tell you THEY WERE THE BEST DAMN OYSTERS I EVER HAD!!! OMG!!! The service was outstanding, the rest of our lunch spectacular, and we finished stuffed, but wanting more...you just can't get better than that!

M

Peche lived up to the hype! We sat at the bar and followed the staff’s recommendations. The raw oyster sampler, drum dip, and whole roasted fish, all were absolutely incredible. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the staff made the experience even better. Perfection all around. Can’t wait to come back and will recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans!

This was my favorite meal in my 6 days in New Orleans. When I say every single dish was outstanding, I mean it!! The steak tartare was so delicious and so was the crab salad. Highly highly recommend anyone who’s visiting New Orleans to visit.

The ceviche was one of the best I’ve had. Steak tartare was too salty for my liking but loved the texture. Make sure you have a reservation

K

Noisy and crowded, and we somehow managed to get a table reservation for the same evening. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. If you order the whole redfish, keep in mind that you’ll need to clean it yourself, and it doesn’t come with a side dish.

A
Andrea Galan

An outstanding dining experience. The crab and grapefruit salad and the fried oyster salad were absolute standouts—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. You can feel the chef’s hand in every detail. The staff is exceptionally well-trained: warm, knowledgeable, and effortlessly precise. A true chef’s restaurant, and one I’d return to in a heartbeat. Keep it up!

We tried a lot of different dishes, and they were all excellent. My favorite was the whole fish. The hush puppies were insanely good, and so was the salad (pictured above the fish)... can't remember what it was called, but it delicious. Fantastic food and service!

Arrived with the reservation, got on the list and was texted our reservation was ready. Our waiter was knowledgeable and funny, his name is Max. We had the snapper off the specials and it was fantastic. The gumbo, was definitely legit and cooked with care. The potatoes and fried bread both very good. The atmosphere was bustling and a bit noisy but overall a great experience. The fish we saw on the two tables next to us looked perfectly cooked.

Amazing food. The steak tartare was insane. I had 4 days in NOLA for a work conference and I'm so glad I got to try this place. Everything felt fresh with balanced flavours and a great experience overall. As an Aussie we have a high bar for produce and Pêche hit it with no issues :) Also, love the fact brussel sprouts are on the menu. They were delicious and something Aussies need to incorporate more at their restaurants!!!

A

Husband and I both agree that this was the best meal on the entire trip!! Literally everything we got was absolutely delicious. The gumbo was fully of flavor, the fish was absolute chef kiss, the oysters were extremely fresh and the Brussel sprouts were tangy crunchy!! Bonus that you can use the AMEX resy credit here! Get the fish!

Pêche is in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. This restaurant is amazing! My wife and I started off with a few drinks at the bar and were well taken care of by Amanda and Sam. The place was packed and we were offered a seat at the oyster bar when they also had five empty tables so we decided just to stay at the bar where we felt welcome by these two lovely people. We were pleased to meet Jonathan , the Mayor of Pêche. He was kind enough to guide us through the menu and suggested all of the things we chose to eat, except for our dessert. He recommended Keylime pie, but we decided not to have that. However, the folks next to us did order it and said it was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we had, including a couple of different crab dishes, some shrimp dishes, and incredible fish sticks. The menu here is very fun and creative. This place is a real treat. We just walked by and saw it. It was packed late on a Sunday night, so we figured it must be good. It was excellent. We may well go back for dinner tomorrow.

Omg this place needs more hype than it already has!! The oyster salad and steak tartar…. I still dream about it! I also loved the chicken satay. The asian flavor profile is beautifully integrated!! Compliments to the chef!!!

Fantastic meal. So glad that it lived up to the Michelin hype. The baked drum w/ coconut, greens + sticky rice was outstanding and full of flavor. The coconut added to the drum in ways that I could not imagine. The roasted pumpkin w/ shiitake mushrooms + miso was another star side dish. The Brussel sprouts were too vinegary for my taste but not bad. Key lime pie was goood. Over all a good meal with very attentive service.

Teeny qualm about the sticky toffee pudding which I personally thought was a bit too sweet, I'd go for bold spiced flavors. But still great. Now for the praises. Starter and main, incredible, wonderful, delightful, sublime, tasty, creative, balanced etc etc. I've run out of adjectives for now but it was truly a nice dinner. And service was great too.

My experience at Peche in New Orleans was absolutely fantastic! We started off our evening with some delicious cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. The old fashioned and Manhattan were expertly crafted and set the tone for the rest of the meal. For appetizers, we tried the tuna crudo and seafood gumbo, both of which were bursting with flavor and left us wanting more. The baked drum with sticky rice was a definite highlight, with the perfect balance of textures and tastes. While the chocolate peanut pie was good, it wasn't my favorite dish of the night. However, the overall quality of the food more than made up for it. The service was attentive and friendly, although they did forget to ask about any food allergies. Despite this small hiccup, our overall dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend Peche for a wonderful meal in New Orleans and will definitely be returning in the future.

10/10. I really enjoyed my visit to Pêche. We went during Mardi Gras so it was a bit busy. We did get seated at the bar which worked out well for us. Amanda was great. The food recommendations worked out perfectly. I was celebrating my birthday and it felt like a little family dinner at the bar. The drum was so flavorful and different. I'm still talking about it days later. Dessert, AMAZING! Oysters were fresh and the house vinaigrette is a must try. Recommend you try them for yourselves.

Look, if you have just one place to go for dinner, it HAS to be here. First off, the atmosphere is stellar. It was a full house the entire time I was there, but no one missed a beat. It’s such a well-oiled machine. Secondly and on that same vein, the staff was truly wonderful, attentive, and so kind. Shout out to John and DJ ZO, and I wish I had caught his name but a tall waiter was also so sweet, and I just loved chatting with each of them and getting their recommendations. Finally, the food. GOOD LAWD, the food! I ordered way too much and still ended up eating nearly every single bite. I was dancing in my seat all night. You just can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, is basically what I learned. I’ll be coming back, there’s no doubt. Please do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant. Way to kill it, Pêche!

Came here for brunch and was completely blown away by how good everything was. The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our server made sure coffee mugs were always full (mine was refilled three times without even asking), and every dish arrived perfectly timed and beautifully plated. We started with the Brightside oysters, which were fresh, briny, and served with a clean, balanced mignonette that complemented rather than overpowered their flavor. The seafood gumbo soup followed and was outstanding—rich, layered, and comforting, with just enough spice to warm the palate without overwhelming it. The Brussels sprouts with chili vinegar were a surprise favorite: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a tangy heat that made them addictive. The spicy ground shrimp and noodles delivered a great punch of flavor, perfectly seasoned and full of texture. The brown rice congee with chili oil and fried garlic was another standout—simple but deeply satisfying, with a silky consistency and bursts of flavor from the garlic and spice. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-balanced, and the atmosphere matched the quality of the food: relaxed, welcoming, and lively. This is the kind of place that makes brunch feel special. Highly recommend coming here—you’ll leave impressed, full, and already planning your next visit.

Peche was one of the standout dining experiences of our New Orleans trip. We ordered the tuna crudo, three of each oyster, hushpuppies, steak tartare, and catfish. I’m not generally a cooked fish person, and the catfish didn’t win me over. I prefer catfish crispy and deep-fried, and this preparation was quite soft. The tuna crudo was also just okay - the sauce was nice, but it didn’t stand out compared to similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere. That said, everything else more than made up for it. The oysters were very good, with my favorites being the Louisiana (Area 3) and the Florida (little honey). It was also my first time ever having hushpuppies, and they were absolutely delicious! perfectly balanced between sweet and savory, with the butter complementing them beautifully. The true highlight of the meal was the steak tartare. Every element was executed to perfection - the seasoning, the sauce, the toasted bread, even the celery. It’s hands down the best steak tartare I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and done so casually compared to others! I will never return to New Orleans without stopping at Peche for this dish. Service was good overall, and the atmosphere was great. We arrived earlier in the afternoon before things got busy, but by the time we left the restaurant was lively.

Great dining experience! The food was incredible! We shared the grilled red fish with sides. The sides were also very delicious… all the food was mouth watering. The desserts were also delicious. Our servers will and Angelo took very good care of us and were attentive and gave great recommendations on what we should eat. They checked on us regularly and kept our drinks filled. Definitely a place to visit while in New Orleans and reservations are highly recommend!!!

For a seafood place, why is the beef tartar out of this world? We were so shocked by how good it was, we had to order more! But everything here was amazing from the red fish to the dessert. You can't go wrong with anything here but definitely get the beef tartar. Highly recommend reservations as it's very popular here. We came here once without it and wait was over an hour. So we came back another day with reservations!

This is one of the best dining experiences i have had from start to finish in recent memory. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the service was top top notch. We likely went in a very perfect time pocket- after the lunch rush and prior to hh! We started with the hush puppies and Filipino ceviche- FANTASTIC. My husband and i shared the crudo with pepper jelly(it was on their catch of the day menu) and the pumpkin with shiitake mushrooms. The espresso martini was FABULOUS- i also had a marg that i wasn’t crazy about, but it wasn’t awful. We finished with the caramel cake- it was the perfect ending to a truly lovely meal.

Great place to have amazing food in a casual environment. The fish and chips are the best I ever had, and not to mention the mezcal-hibiscus cocktail, it was absolutely delicious. I mentioned it was my birthday husband and the brought the cake with a candle and 2 glass of wine for a toast. That was so thoughtful.

A Must-Visit Seafood Gem: Fresh, Vibrant, and Michelin-Recognized If you are looking for an authentic, high-energy dining experience, this Michelin-recommended seafood spot is a standout choice. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the buzz of the city; it is loud, lively, and perpetually packed with people who know good food. The Atmosphere & Service The vibe is electric, though it definitely leans towards the "noisy and crowded" side. It’s the kind of place that feels alive, making it perfect for a fun night out with friends rather than a quiet, romantic whisper. Because of its popularity, reservations are highly recommended. Showing up without one will likely result in a long wait. The Food: Quality Meets Value What makes this restaurant truly impressive is the balance between quality and cost. Despite its Michelin status, the prices remain moderate. The menu celebrates the ocean’s bounty with a vast selection of dishes built on the foundation of incredibly fresh ingredients. * Local Oysters: Briny, cold, and exceptionally fresh—a perfect start to the evening. Drinks The beverage program is just as thoughtful as the kitchen. They offer a range of creative cocktails for those looking for something modern, alongside a well-curated wine list that features excellent pairings for various seafood dishes.

Love this place, space feels rustic with great art on the walls - love the big drum painting , servers helpful, available but not intrusive, the food was exceptional. Two crudos were outstanding, good portions, great tasting fish in very different in preparations with a depth and range of flavors that are hard to find, fried bread comes in balls and is delicious, the whole fish was superb, and roasted carrots were among the best I hd. Highly recommended and we’ll be back!!!

Fabulous service and food. Love the oysters with the homemade sauce in the dropper. I could’ve ordered 2 more dozen just amazing. The snapper kinilaw was also AMAZING! So good. Hush puppies were a little over for me and the shrimp was too salty for me, but the rice grits were perfect. Get the drum fish!!! Best seller for a reason! Dessert menu was so hard to choose but the peanut pie was a big hit, strawberry galette was good too with the strawberry cream cheese ice cream. Thank you for a nice time and great service, Joe and staff.

We were incredibly lucky to land a reservation here the weekend after Mardi gras and couldn't have been more blown away. Very welcoming staff and environment. Not too loud when fully packed. Our servers were delightful and the food/ cocktails were divine. Everything was amazing but the crayfish campolini in kimchi butter was so delectable it brings a tear to my eye a week later. If you have the opportunity, get a reservation ASAP

The food was fantastic. But the real outstanding point was the service. Our server Will and his teammate Imani were so attentive. I have a gluten allergy and Will went through the entire menu in great detail with me, he was super knowledgeable about the ingredients of every single menu item and what did have gluten, didn’t have gluten, and could be modified. It was very comforting and helpful, outstanding experience all around!

Pesche is one of those places where you instantly understand why getting a Friday night reservation feels like winning the lottery. Even on a packed night, they accommodated us graciously, and from the moment we sat down, everything just clicked. If you’re unsure what to order, do yourself a favor and let your server guide the experience. Seriously - just trust them and allow them to curate the meal for you (or your whole group). We did exactly that and were absolutely DELIGHTED with every dish that arrived. Incredible food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere that makes the evening feel special without trying too hard. There’s a reason this place is so highly recommended - and now I’m part of the chorus.

The restaurant has a nice open feel. We were sat at a two top and we're close enough to talk to the next table, so not really a romantic feel. Just cozy. The hush puppies were good and served with butter. My husband had the flank steak with potatoes. Good but the sauce could have had just a little more flavor and the potatoes were just plain. The grilled chicken had a great flavor, the rice and greens were interesting. The brussel sprouts were excellent. The salted caramel cake dessert was nice and a great finish.

Overall a pleasant experience. Team was incredibly warm and informative about order of service and menu items. Delivery of entrees came about 30 minutes after appetizers & drinks which felt a little long but it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Absolutely loved the baked drum and fried bread! Decor matched the theme and the low lighting made the meal feel more elevated. Street parking available and reservations recommended!

The service is beyond excellent. The food is amazing, every bite is a true awakening of senses. We left so full... We ordered the fish of the day, the gumbo, hush puppies and brussel sprouts... Those brussel sprouts are to die for... I also had a cocktail, can't remember the name of it, but it was intriguing on paper, with the Dill... It did not disappoint. Don't hesitate, go... Go hungry.

Atmosphere & Ambience Pêche exudes a rustic coastal charm that feels both casual and refined. The open layout, exposed brick, and soft lighting creates a warm, inviting environment that reflects the restaurant’s Gulf-inspired concept. Overall the space has an energetic yet comfortable feel. Food Quality & Presentation The seafood tastes fresh and many of the items are locally caught. From the raw bar we had the tuna crudo and the Alabama oysters; the selections taste like they came straight from the Gulf that morning. Plates are presented simply but elegantly, letting the natural colors and textures shine. We got the smoked tuna dip, cobia and the crab rice. The tuna dip was a little saltier than we would have liked. The crab rice took a few bites to get used to, it had a strong, unique flavor different from the rest of the menu. The cobia was fresh and was one of our favorite food items during this visit. Menu & Variety The menu leans heavily toward Gulf seafood with Southern influences, offering a strong variety without having too many options to make you feel overwhelmed. Customer Service Service is attentive but relaxed. It did take longer than we would’ve liked to close out our tab but overall the staff was very welcoming and tending to all of our needs efficiently. Value for Money You get what you pay for here. Fairly priced items for the quality, freshness, and presentation that’s provided! Portions are generous, especially for the shared entrees, and the level of execution rivals fine dining establishments at a more approachable price point. Cleanliness & Maintenance The restaurant is spotless from entry to exit. Tables are cleared efficiently and restrooms are well maintained. Final Verdict Pêche Seafood Grill captures the soul of New Orleans seafood culture with elevated simplicity. It’s the rare restaurant that manages to be both a neighborhood favorite and a national destination. Fresh, honest cooking, great service, and an effortlessly cool atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone who loves coastal cuisine done right. The only reason I didn’t give this restaurant 5 stars is because the food was good, but not perfect. I would definitely come back for the items in the raw bar, as well as the fish. However, some of the other items failed to impress (crab rice and tuna dip).

Pêche offers a generous, modern, and inventive cuisine. Their fish selection is, of course, the star of the show, with excellent options for both starters and entrées. The quality and freshness of the seafood truly stand out, and the menu shows a nice balance between creativity and respect for the ingredients. The service is exactly what you would expect from this type of restaurant—professional and efficient—although the noise level is probably a bit too high at times. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience, especially for seafood lovers.

Incredible food, one of those meals that sticks with you for years after. The steak tartare is especially delicious. I would love to come back one day. We also liked the hush puppies and oysters. Unfortunately the waiter was rude when we asked to use Apple Pay for the bill. Otherwise, this is a five star restaurant.

Peche Seafood Grill in New Orleans has a relatively spacious and comfortable layout. We were lucky to get a booth in the corner by the kitchen, which made the experience very private and quiet. I think sitting closer to other tables might make the experience feel less enjoyable, given how busy the restaurant can get. Our waiter was excellent — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food overall was good, with a few standout dishes. The steak tartare was my favorite — easily the best I’ve ever had — and the dessert was also excellent. The pasta dish was very memorable and flavorful as well. Some other dishes, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The fried oyster salad and the crab fried rice didn’t match my palate, and the fish sticks were overly greasy, with too much breading and oil, which made them difficult to enjoy after a few bites. Overall, Peche offers some truly standout dishes and a nice dining atmosphere, but not everything will appeal to everyone. If you get a quiet corner booth and pick the right dishes, it’s a very enjoyable experience.

We went to Pêche on a Wednesday night with a reservation at 5:30 PM. Based on our research, this is considered one of the best restaurants in NOLA. While we appreciated our visit, we believe there are many other restaurants in the city offering a similar experience. We started with two half-dozens of oysters. One variety was excellent, but the other wasn’t quite to our taste. Next, we ordered the steak tartare and the smoked tuna dip. The steak tartare was good, but the smoked tuna dip was far too salty. It was served with a pile of salted crackers — which felt a bit underwhelming, especially given the restaurant’s price point. We expected something a bit more refined. We then had the seafood gumbo and the jumbo shrimp. We highly recommend the jumbo shrimp dish — it was excellent. For dessert, we shared the carrot sticky toffee pudding, which was also fantastic. Overall, we found the meal to be quite pricey for what we got. The service, however, was great. While Pêche is a solid option, we wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit when in New Orleans.

Pêche Seafood Grill gets busy during peak hours, so definitely make a reservation or join the waitlist ahead of time. They’re known for their grilled whole fish, and honestly, I regret not ordering it. I was worried it would be too much for one person, but when it arrived at the table next to me, it smelled incredible and instantly gave me food envy. The oysters were ice-cold and very fresh, the gumbo was flavorful, and the crudo was well-executed and enjoyable. My drink was also excellent and complemented everything nicely. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back—next time, the grilled whole fish is happening.

Precio medio-alto.

Came here for the New Year’s Eve set menu on our first trip to New Orleans after hearing so many great things about Peche. The regular menu and reputation set our expectations pretty high, even though the NYE menu leaned more Asian-influenced than what the restaurant is known for. Unfortunately, this ended up being the most disappointing meal of our trip. While the service was genuinely good and the drinks were well done, the food itself felt uninspired and poorly executed. Much of it reminded us of mediocre catered Japanese food that had been sitting out too long before being served. For example, the gyoza/dumplings arrived almost cold, with hardened/stale skins (exactly what happens when dumplings are left out too long). The miso-glazed fish collar was very one-dimensional, and the glaze looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a while rather than freshly prepared. For a restaurant of Peche’s caliber, especially on a prix fixe NYE menu, we expected much better. It’s totally fine to experiment with a different cuisine for a special occasion, but the execution here really missed the mark.

Pêche Seafood Grill has good food, but for a place as expensive as this, the service was unbelievably slow and underwhelming. The entire experience created a poor value proposition. The service failure started when I asked for warm water and was first brought iced water. Upon asking again for warm water, the waitress clearly struggled to understand my request and, despite my clear English, her face showed visible frustration and annoyance. The service was second-hand across the board; the amount of time required just to get the check was ridiculous. The most unsettling part was the clear disparity in attentiveness. We observed nearby tables receiving extremely frequent check-ins and courtesy, while our table and others were given delayed, minimal service. This felt systemic, especially combined with the observation that customers of Asian descent were seated primarily on the same side of the restaurant. I am rating this 2 stars. While the food is good, the inconsistent and unwelcoming service severely detracts from the fine-dining price point. Both the food quality and the service courtesy need to go hand in hand at this level.

No idea why this place is hyped up. We arrived and was told to wait at least 15 minutes, which is totally fine, while there were so many empty tables (at around 1pm). Foods are genuinely mid, not a lot of flavor. Not a single thing taste above average, even cocktail (red corvette) was whatever. The waitresses (for some reasons, we have 2 waitresses) just did their bare minimum, which is fine I guess, but also have a weird attitude. The interior + food presentation look nice if that what you like / tiktok-worthy I guess. I personally rather spend money literally anywhere else.

Siamo stati qua per il cenone di capodanno, il cibo era terrificante il servizio pessimo, prezzo alto. Non c’era niente di buono neanche la cheesecake finale, una delusione totale. Lo sconsiglio fortemente!

This was a $500 dinner at a supposedly fine dining restaurant. It was a fixed menu for NYE - the food was a disgrace: overcooked and grossly cut noodles, hardly recognisable mushrooms and oyster, a fake Japanese cheesecake. I felt we got robbed.

Muy salado y picante. No he dormido del dolor de estómago. Si quieres disfrutar comiendo no vengas aquí.
