Every visit is a adventure into Thai food at its best. The chef seems to have a personal touch in every meal I try here.
Spacious seating and very kind staff. Excellent service. Delicious Thai green curry. Lunch special was good to try different options on the menu. Extra special when neighborhood cat visited.
2 of us had a beef noodle soup (pho) and a lunch combo special of chicken satay and beef+ string beans. Everything was delicious, especially the pho. Service and atmosphere also great. Will be coming back.
I’ve gone here consistently the past two years with friends and it’s our favorite Thai food spot in the area! I love the pad see ew with beef! The dish is very flavorful! We also love to get the Thai iced teas which are super affordable, and always get the mango sticky rice to share! Don’t miss that, it’s a fav🙌🏼😍 Also the staff is super friendly and accommodating!
Pagarung thai has been my family and friends favorite thai restaurant IN OAKLAND for many years. We were sad to hear they closed down a few years ago. Well they are back and didnt miss a step, the food is still amazing and their customer service is unmatched. You owe it to yourself to try it at least once

So accomadating, many times I've come in close to close due to my work schedule and they had insisted on serving me ,no rushing. Always suggestive of menu items. I never have to ask for a refill. They are truly a great eatery. Love the Salmon,Eggplant. Worth every penny. You'll definitely be satisfied! Thank you Pagarung:)
This is my go-to spot for Thai takeout. The staff are incredibly nice and thoughtful. The food is always delicious but it’s so nice to walk in to such a warm welcome. Kind people and delicious food.
The praram sauce was delicious. They made the sauce vegetarian on request and it was absolutely delicious despite a modification. The veggies in the praram vegetables dish were cooked to perfection as well. Waiting for next visit 🤤
We love Pagargung Thai and have been coming here for almost 17 years. Their pad Thai is fantastic, the Pagarung prawns are the best item ever and their garlic pepper pork is a must. We've never been disappointed, and the price point is reasonable.
This is the best Thai Restaurant I've ever experienced. The portions were very filling and boasted of its main ingredients. The staff was kind and accommodating. This is my first favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. A little hidden gem.
Awesome food, awesome service when you eat in, super friendly when you get it to go. While they’ve been remodeling I’ve been trying other Thai resteraunts, haven’t found one that comes close to how good the food is here. My favorite dish is the ginger beef w/garlic, every bite is an explosion of wonderful flavors.
Used to go here for my all things Thai and was sad when they closed for remodeling, then covid hit and extended their closure. Sooo happy to report they are up n running! At least they are for pickup/delivery. Hoping they reopen for indoor dining soon. In the mean time the food has returned! If you haven't eaten here yet you won't be disappointed, try some today for pick-up so you know you'll return when they open for indoor dining. Everything is bomb, my favorites are the spring rolls(the peanut sauce is the bomb!) And of course the Mango sticky rice.
Finally ate here after walking by everytime I park at Safeway. Was pleasantly surprised! Food was fresh and delicious. Had the basil chicken. Service was great! Friendly and prompt. Will definitely go again

I have been wanting to try this restaurant again. Last time was many years ago. The staff was so nice. However, I was very disappointed in the food. The chicken in the curry and noodles was very over cooked. The noodles were over cooked. The prawn soup had an excellent broth, but the prawns were over cooked.
The cashew chicken I ordered to go that I have been loving around the world in many Asian cuisine‘s for the past 40 years was the worst I ever had. The chicken was obviously frozen and re-frozen multiple times and tasted worse than cardboard. The Rice and cucumber salad were fine because you couldn’t fudge on that. This was on 8/26/2022 around 5:30 PM. I do sympathize with restaurants that are doing poorly and must resort to things like this but I had to say something. I speak fluent Thai and I often get great food and service by asking what’s good over the phone and they’re amazed when I come in and see I’m not Thai. This time I did not because it was the first time I’ve tried the place. Obviously, I won’t be back.
I've been ordering from this restaurant since 2016, always good food except last night on 3/20/22 I ordered two plates of noodles and a side of egg rolls. When I got home and opened the boxes, I found that the food was actually rotten. Both the noodle plates were the consistency of wet bread, with a sour and repugnant smell, not at all like what I had received previously. The egg rolls were only a bit burned but got thrown away with the rest of it out of caution. I called the restaurant but they had already closed, and when I called in the morning they told me they could not refund my purchase because it was not the same business day, but ended up refunding me anyways in cash as part of their excellent customer service. However they completely denied that there was any problem with the food, saying no one had ever complained of this before, but I do see one similar review here on google. There were other people eating in the restaurant who did not seem to have any issue with their food, so I don't know how it happened. In the end they have great service and a beautiful restaurant, but please check your boxes before going home.
Really bummed about this, was hoping for a great new Thai place. Pad Thai was overly sweet and tasteless, no flavor, greasy and bright red. Red curry was very bland with way too many vegetables to chicken ratio. Surprised I had to pay extra for rice with the curry. Sadly, it just really wasn’t good.

apparently substitute chef tonight Inedible. Larb salad so salty we couldn’t eat it. Pad Thai like noodles in glue. Couldn’t eat it Staff resistant to crediting bill So disappointing Won’t return
One of the worst dining experiences of the last ten years. The food was not fresh and the noodles were mush. The Ice tea was so weak, it looked and tasted like sweet and condensed mink. Some kind of orange food coloring was used to make the pad thai orange. Better Thai food would come from a box. After 20 years one would think... zero stars.
Have eaten here for years, several times a month. Last two weeks have had a horrible experience. Must have a new cook. Horrible yellow curry, no flavor, lacks that bright yellow color, potatoes, onions and carrots, two weeks in a row terrible. French dressing with salad instead of green goddess. Also, tried BarBQue chicken. Used to be favorable and juicy, today 7-21-17 overcooked, dry and tasteless. Very disappointing. Food all jumbled in one box, previously salad was individually packaged. Must now find a new Thai restaurant.
