Lovely locals bar, restaurant. Very reasonable, great service, dog friendly.
Most popular place in Carboneras. All food is fresh. The staff is constantly in a whirlwind of activity. The platos combinados are just fish and chips. So many different types of shellfish to try. We got tuna and swordfish.
We had lunch here, on our way through the coast. Very good choice. We ordered BOQUERONES FRITOS - excellent, great price; and VARIADO de PESCADO - excellent, well-done, varied seafood, attractive price; plus beer and juice. Total €34 The food is tasty. The waiters were pleasant and helpful. The decor of a normal Spanish restaurant/bar, nothing crazy. I recommend it with a clear conscience.
This is a very busy popular bar, cheap,simple Spanish food. Racions menu states prices, but often small tapas are free . Glass of fairly good wine is especially cheap. You get very good value for money. Some waiters are good , some surly.
Was recommended this place by a local. Bar was full of locals. Good food. Order a small plate, get a free drink with it. Eat. Drink. Repeat. My kind of place.

A must to visit tapas restaurant when you pass by carboneras! The patata out of the oven, the atun ahurmado and the legs of the pulpo were all freshly prepared and very delicious. And this for a price of 1.50 euro per tapas. On a saturday evening it was just quite full and noisy.
Had a tapas lunch after arriving in Spain and straight from the airport. Convenient location and good food. No English translations so we just guessed at choices.
Not very good options for vegetarian dinners, gazpacho was tasteless as was the calamari. The tuna was nice but over cooked.
We went there for tapas and a kids meal. Tapas were quite dissapointing, kids meal ok. Service wasn’t great either, 4 waiters very messy and even needed to re-order the kids meal
The restaurant was really dirty, trash were all around the floor. The food itself wasnt that bad but the environment was nasty. I dont understand the good ratings.
It was waaayyy better a few years ago. Tapas at lunchtime are only available at the counter (a la barra) which is loaded with people and the tapas themselves are smaller (the potatoes are 50% smaller than they used to be). Not worth it anymore...
A total disaster. 2 plates of food arrived, and were finished, with no sign of the other person's dinner being served. Although we asked at least 5 times (over the course of at least 1 hour) if the other meal was coming we always got the same "Ya viene" reply ...although it never did. We finally cancelled the order and left having to pay for the other food and drink. No offer of an apology let alone any compensation - anywhere else in the world we would have probably been offered the meal free.
