This place has grown so much, its an amazing place. It will not disappoint regardless of age.
If you want something healthy and low calorie don't pass up the shrimp tacos. They are simply delicious and a perfect choice for Lent option. Manager Bill Edmunds went all in with a limited seating lobster fest that rivaled similar entrees you might find in Maine. The food was well prepared and served fresh in courses to the sixty lucky patrons who were fortunate to secure a seat before they sold out. Don't pass up an opportunity to enjoy great food in a wonderful venue. It's a guarantee you'll get your money's worth.
Such a pretty spot overlooking the lake. Enjoyed our appetizers of breaded mushrooms and creamy garlic shrimp (very good). The place was busy but our waitress was very efficient.
1st time here and loved it. The burger I got was awesome, and the Mrs lived her fish dinner. The waitress we had went above and beyond when I asked for a beer she thought they didn't have, ended up finding it on tap. Would recommend if you are wanting a nice change in atmosphere for dining.
So my wife and I and our 2 very dear friends rode our Harley’s over today for lunch. Weather was beautiful!!! We pulled up and this place is hoppin and very busy. We walk in and are greeted by a very friendly young lady who seated us very quickly at a great table facing the lake and right on the road and she smiled the entire time. The seating was like being on the beach, open air and pleasant!!! Another pleasant young lady came after about 10 minutes or so and took our drink order and promptly returned to take our food order! This place is SUPER BUSY and they are on it!!! We ordered the highly recommended Shrimp Tacos and shared those and our friends ordered the chicken sandwich and steak tacos. The food was ON POINT OFF THE HOOK GREAT!!!!!! We all were very pleased. We stayed probably an hour and a half and really enjoyed the atmosphere with our friends, they even had a small band playing some pretty good tunes too. I looked for the owner/manager to tell him thank you for having a great establishment but I’m sure he was busy! None the less, WE WILL BE GOING BACK!!!! Definitely worth the 80 mile one way ride. The only reason this gets 5 stars is because that’s all I could choose, wish there were 10 I could give! Give this place a try! I think you will like it!
The place opened at 11:00, we walked in at 11:03 and it was already filling up. By the time we left at 12:10 the place was packed. The food was good and the service was too. Prices aren't unreasonable for today's restaurants. We ate outside while it was still cool. Pretzel bites, Dane's burger, fish sandwich, Dane's shrimp tacos, fries and slaw all graced our table. All was good and made sure we will return the next time we are in Celina.
We had a burger, fish and chicken tacos and everything was really good! Atmosphere and location are great!
Went to Ohio for a little road trip, saw this place and decided to stop for dinner and it was the best decision ive ever made. The food was phenomenal, the best food I've ever had at a bar and grill. I got a cocktail and it was delicious but still strong and the service was amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place. Can't wait to go back.
Wonderful little lakeside spot that makes you feel like you're not in small town Ohio anymore. Walking through the boardwalk and hitting the grill gave off big Beach Town vibes. Definitely a recommended spot for good bites and views.
I love this place. The atmosphere is incredible. You can look at the lake while eating and then take a walk on the pier afterwards. A little pricey but we'll worth it.
Absolute 10/10. Grace was our waitress tonight. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND! She provided amazing service & was the sweetest EVER. My first time eating there & definitely not my last. Food is a little pricey, but still delicious, and the hospitality makes up for it. I would recommend to anyone & would definitely recommend Grace. ❤️
Didn’t eat, just walked around and explored. They had one goal, and I believe they achieved it: make you feel like you’re on the coast. The last time I went somewhere that felt like this, I was on a boardwalk in Charleston, South Carolina. Boardwalk Grill’s proximity to Celina and popularity on Facebook groups have really helped it out. The ONLY missing piece: in the parking lot, where they have landscaping, they need to sprinkle sand overtop of it to truly give it that last bit of beach feel 😂 There’s enough to do at boardwalk grill to last a lot of your day, especially if you own a motorcycle or a boat on Grand Lake
Even with a full parking lot upon entry we were promptly sat. The waitress was informational and welcoming. Drinks were ordered food was put in and she still checked in that we were still good. Food presentation was nice. It tasted great. And the views out the windows made for a nice ambience. If your in the area stop in.
Some terribly rude and demanding customers were at the boardwalk on Sunday. They expected more than the restaurant or waiters could supply. The waiters did all they could to calm these rude people with much shouting from the customers. We applaud the waiters for handling the situation with great control and attitude. None of them should have had to deal with this situation as all of them are and have been excellent staff every time we have been there. Kudos to all of the hard-working staff who should be getting a bonus for this terrible situation that they controlled well.
It was our first time there and the weather was beautiful. The view of the lake was great. If you like feeling like you're eating outside but with a bit of being indoors then this is it! They have openings the size of a half garage door. If you like music they also have a band singing or they have music playing and big screens to watch sports. A little bit of everything for everyone!!! The food was good!!!
First time trying and it was great! I had the philly cheese steak, loved it. Fries are good. Gotta work on the sweet tea though.
Loved it. Visiting from Texas and wanted a quick bite . It was beautiful sitting by the lakeside. Nice breeze. Lots of people there, but had no problem with service. Fish and chips were fresh and my son had the cajun shrimp alfredo. It was delicious. I also loved the kale coleslaw. Can't wait to go back before we leave.
I posted on the wrong board walk restaurant. Sorry for the confusion and thank you to the owner for being amazing and letting me know my mistake so I could fix it.
We really enjoyed our time at the grill! Great food! Super staff- very friendly and attentive! Love the whole vibe! We will be back often! Edit: Have now visited several times and every visit is great! Impeccable food, great staff, smokey bourbon is smooth, Highly recommend the burgers and pizza, enjoyed the fish as well! Thanks crew for operating a great little Oasis!
There were 4 of us and no one was disappointed. I had the pizza, girlfriend had the lasagna, our guys had the Ruben and chicken parm. Great service, great food, great pricing. If your in the area, it's a definite stop by!!!
I’m from Michigan and on a family visit in Ohio, we came to this place to eat and let me tell you this is the best place to eat. Amazing fries and chicken oh and don’t get me started on the ranch it’s so AMAZING. 10/10 for sure😁
Beautiful and beachy. This "resort" of food, housing and entertainment just keeps getting bigger and better. Everything we've eaten here over the years has been great. The food service has gotten a boost lately, as orders seem to be served amazingly fast for such a busy place. Everyone is friendly and efficient. The surrounding outdoor area is like a mini resort. A real (retired) tugboat now serves up pizzas. Lots of spots to sit and get some shade. Outdoor games to play. A new beachy pavilion bar with swing seats. Live musicians in a fully covered outdoor patio with lots of tables. Plus an ever growing housing addition that offers its own pool and amenities. These units are multi story and multi colored in pastel beachy tones.
Great atmosphere, great service. We got the Fresco Burger with Fries and Coleslaw. The Burger was cooked exactly as we ordered it. The Coleslaw was unexpected as it was more "salad like" but very good. The Fries worked very well with the left over Dijon Mayo that was meant for our Burger. All day outdoor Entertainment. We were at the bar so we couldn't really hear if it was good or not. We will definitely be back again to find out.
The Onion Rings are so good. 😁😁😁 The food is very good, and ask for the specials of the day. They all sounded so good The waitress was extremely informative about the food, and we messed up by not ordering the Portobello Mushrooms, they are huge. And dipped in the same beer batter as the onion rings. Well worth your time to go and eat and have a drink. You will enjoy it too.
Very tasty fish tacos; fresh and a nice-sized serving; good service; nice atmosphere. Windows were open to the lake. A little noisy (loud music) so conversation was difficult. Overall, I enjoyed it and would go back.
Had a really good time here on a busy Saturday night. Beautiful evening right on the lake. Food was awesome and everyone loved their food. Wife had shrimp tacos and I had the black & bleu smashburger 👍🏻 and they were great! Doesn’t seem like you’re in Celina, OH when you’re here. More like a coastal beach vibe in SC or FL. Definitely coming back.
Food was good, martinis were excellent. Candice our bartender was so friendly, attentive, and speedy. Wonderful customer service. Beautiful view Tasty drinks Lake side Food was hot, fresh, and delicious
Beautiful little place to have lunch or dinner. Service was perfect, not hovering but not uninterested either. Food was good!
Came In over the weekend for the first time while on a party bus. Myself and a few others who don’t drink anymore were pleasantly surprised by the mocktails the bartender made! They were delicious! Also love the atmosphere and the upstairs patio!
Got there at 4:10 on a Tuesday. They were only open 10 minutes so they weren't busy. Our server Taylor was great, view was great, and the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza was outstanding! Just a random find two hours from home. Would definitely recommend and stop in if we're ever up this way.
We made the trip to the Boardwalk Grill and we were not disappointed! We got seated quickly and sat inside right next to the open windows by the road. Absolutely perfect for people watching, looking at boats coming in, and cars cruisin' by. Our server was prompt and attentive. The food came out quickly as well. We are already planning our return!
Great atmosphere! Fried mushrooms were huge and delicious! Popular place so there was a little bit of a wait for our entrees but it’s the kind of place to enjoy the view and not be in a hurry. I got the shrimp tacos & my wife got the fish tacos so we swapped one of each for some variety. Both were delicious! (The Boardwalk Sauce gives it a nice kick!) zNice view of the lake. Definitely a pub/bar type of environment but still kid friendly which is exactly what we were looking for.
Jordan gave us incredible service on a busy Friday evening. We had a party of 23 people for a bachelor trip and she took care of us. Everything came in quick timing. Jordan was kind, funny, and friendly. The view is incredible, the food is awesome, and the drinks are delicious! I highly recommend! Thank you Jordan! You rock!
This is my favorite place to go that's about an hour drive from my home. We get a group together and ride our motorcycles up every year. It's a great atmosphere, and since they've updated the restaurant and added music and sand volleyball, it's a good time. There are several shops in town, several places to rent boats and jet skis as well as camping. The new Boardwalk area hosts little cottages with an outdoor pool. If you haven't been lately go check it out!
Started with a appetizer Crispy Garlic Shrimp and it was fresh and crispy. Definitely recommend that as a start. Then went to fish and chips. The fish was fresh and crispy like the shrimp, I’d have this fish compared to most other restaurants. It’s an outstanding restaurant with service and atmosphere. I highly recommend going out to eat here or just even come out and drink and relax with family and friends. If you never tried this restaurant before, It’s a perfect choice.
Good outdoor drinking. Food is meh I came to watch my friend's band. They played outside right by the lake. This place is a good size. It has outdoor and indoor seating with 4 working bars. Outside could fit over 150 people if you were okay standing. There's a giant tugboat that will honk randomly and a mini Putt-Putt. Lots of picnic tables. It's a good view of the lake. Inside has a top and bottom that could comfortably fit 80 people. I got some pizza. It was okay. I don't think I would not recommend it. I almost got the garlic bread. I don't know if the pizzas a separate kitchen from the actual bar inside. My friend told me they cook the pizza in the tugboat so there's limited resources. There were many bachelorette parties that also drove through. So it's a very high-energy kind of bar. Definitely a place to come party
Had a great time here, friends of ours on the lake stop here often. Fish tacos were fantastic. Lemon martini for my gal was very tasty. Crowd was decent, waitress staff was fantastic especially because my friends were regulars and new some of the staff very well. We were treated warmly. Only suggestion is to find an alternative site for the bikers (needlessly loud) to park somewhere more discreet away from dinners, families and kids and babies. Because of that 4 Star!
The food is great, my group just got many of their appetizers to split and share and all of them were delicious. The wait staff was a little tied up at times because there was also a wedding party using their large bar and unfortunately taking many of the servers away from serving regular customers. Otherwise a very welcoming place with delicious food and drinks!
I’ve been here a few times. It’s a great place to eat and park the boat when your on the lake. The view is great. Shrimp tacos are pretty good. The last time we went was on a Saturday and about 4 teenage employees sat at a front prime table wrapping utensils. We stood there for a few minutes as they all looked at each other not wanting to get up and greet us. Finally one did. Service is definitely lacking.
We stopped here on our travels home from Florida. It looked like it had a fun vibe, and it didn't disappoint as far as atmosphere goes. Service was a bit slow, but our server was pleasant. We had a meatball pizza...it was good, but could have used some more meatballs! The crust was a bit tough. Our side salads were one of the best we ever had. (No iceberg lettuce) and had a great variety of ingredients. The house citrus vinaigrette was amazing 😋
Being this was my first time eating here, I have drove by this place for years, thinking it was an old worn out lakeside bar, probably with your typical greasy bar food. Well, I was completely wrong, the atmosphere was lovely. Very fun and inviting. We ordered the calamari, which was done well.. was a little upset we couldn't get the walleye bites, sold out. Which only makes me believe they are amazing! My wife got the blackened salmon, which was really tasty, just a little over done, but very good. I had the pork loin weiner schnitzel (pictured), just a tad over cooked, but man it was super flavorful! All the sides were great. Looking forward to the walleye bites on the next visit!
Cool place. The food is a little pricey but good. It was very busy but the service was still good. Not a bad place but very limited menu.
We've been talking about coming here for a very long time. The parking lot was packed and we almost didn't go in. Drove around the building and it didn't look like there were many people in the restaurant so we eventually found a parking spot and wandered in. They have a party room upstairs and it was rented out. That explains the full lot. There were only a couple of parties in the dining room. Food was good. We had the clam chowder, pretzel bites, and haddock bites. Would go back! Everything came out hot, and in a reasonable amount of time. Dinging them one star for the parking. Saw at least 2 reserved manager spots near the front. That was tacky. While the person making bank drops probably needs a close spot, advertising where that person parks is a security issue.
Coming from the west Coast, this place made me feel home sick. It gives if a boardwalk vibe with many activities there centered around the sand and beach like atmosphere. The service was great and the vibe was amazing. Wo to me definitely recommend for all ages. They even have an arcade and live music!
The Bloody Mary was refreshing and spicy. Served w a pickle spear and a skewer of cheese, tomato, olives, and pepperoni. The grilled shrimp salad arrived looking stunning w a side of citrus vinaigrette. Subpar. Needed a zing of citrus, even w the dressing. The shrimp lacked seasonings. It was cold, rubbery, and tasteless. Such a shame. I expected more from a $22 salad.
My wife and I had a great lunch here today featuring Dane's Texas Burger and Chicken Tenders. The menu is pure bar food, (mostly fried) but definitely a notch above, in both quality and quantity. The atmosphere is loud especially when there's live music, so conversation is strained. Weather permitting there's some great outdoor seating with premium lakeside views.
The food here is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. Thankfully as the service is not always great. Our 2nd time here and it takes a while for drinks to come. Orders are also sometimes brought out wrong. So sit back enjoy the views and the company. Good food will be on its way as the service is a bit slow and disorganized.
Neat little island 🏝 beach type grill, with mostly a bar feel, yet still very family friendly. Much more seating than is being used, especially given the crowd and the wait to be seated. My server would rate as a high 4 or better, yet the young lady greeting acted as if my party of 1 was a huge inconvenience, and was less than pleasant. I was finally seated, at a table for 6, and the remaining visit was a great experience. I had the shrimp tacos, and other than appearing as if it was a child's portion, was amazing.
Had a great experience with my biker buds one day so decided to take my girlfriend alone a week later (08/17/2024),The hostess “clearly” did not want to be there and would certainly not be a person that I would have interacting with customers in my business(s). We purposely went between lunch and dinner so that it wouldn’t be to crowded and it wasn’t. So when I asked the Hostess if we could sit next to the outdoor opening (there where several tables), we got an emphatic “NO”, then turned away and mumbled something about “stations”. Meanwhile as we where seated we saw those very tables had people being seated after we were. Our table was for 6 in the middle of the room and was almost handpicked as the worst spot available. Food was above average although a little pricey. Waitress was outstanding!
Atmosphere by the lake is nice always have live music which is a bonus but the service is just OK and the food is also just OK. I would expect a higher quality of food for such a prime location. I live on the lake so it's nice to have but there are better hidden gems around the lake with the same quality of food.
There menu is limited an not the same as the web site... be prepared to substitute from the website... website not up to date.. service was nice. Mixed drinks were not made correctly nor top shelf
I hate to give bad reviews, but this has been eating at me for the last couple weeks and quite a few running jokes have resulted from our experience. Zoom in on my picture and look at the drink served The house sangria, which cost $10, is served in a std size wine glass half full, the ice above the liquid. I was a server in a past life, so I hate to complain. But come on -if I want a sangria I want more than a few sips! I asked the waitress if that is typically how the sangria is served, and she confirmed. I told her it was not her fault but if they’re only gonna give you 2 ounces of a drink, it would look better if they just put it in a shorter glass. She was pleasant about it and handled the situation well. The burgers were only quarter pound burgers Tasty and good but I say if you’re gonna serve burgers, at least make them 1/3 pound. Bio he bun was ok, had better. 8/10 on taste. When paying our bill, the waitress came back over and said the manager wanted to know where we got our coins for a free drink. I feel the manager put that waitress in a difficult situation and should have come over themselves if they were saying, they may not accept them. It’s too bad that grill has a great atmosphere and part of the whole boardwalk, which is super fun We may go back, but I will for sure order a bottle of beer so I know what I’m getting and not expect to be full after dropping 19 bucks on a burger.
We ate here while staying at the boardwalk village. Our meals were great, skip the appetizers. They were not worth the extra money spent. Pizza was so good! Shrimp tacos were yummy also. Service was pretty poor. She seemed busy, which is understandable. She had to work outside and inside. But we still expect decent service when it’s not packed. You can watch the cooks do their thing which is a little weird, and it bothered me when he scratched his head then continued to plate food - no gloves on. Also, be sure to know this place is not open on Mondays. So if you are staying at boardwalk village you will need to find somewhere else to eat - which is also slim-pickings in Celina.
I can’t really give a review on the food or the service. We arrived at five after eight and they closed at nine. A hostess asked if we were going to try to eat in. When we said yes, and we were told the kitchen closed at 8 o’clock. So if you are going in planning on eating in after 8 o’clock, please note that their kitchen closes an hour before closing. I would not want anyone else to drive there unnecessarily so I have added this review.
We had a 6:30 reservation for 4 on a Friday night in April. Got seated right away. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come to our table to get our drink orders. We ordered our entrees right away. After waiting another 15 minutes for 1 beer, 1 soda, 1 water and an iced tea, we were served our drinks. 25 minutes later our entrees came (3 Fish & Chips along with 1 Fish Taco). No drink refills while we waited for our entrees. We asked for our bill right away. After finishing our food, the bill still was not brought to us...so we asked the manager...he said he would get the bill for us. After waiting another 15 minutes without a bill, we left the money (& a tip) on the table. I'm sure we figured on the high end for the bill so the waitress got a nice tip for very minimum customer service. Management needs to show a little blame for this not-so-great customer service. Fried Fish on all entrees were a little too golden brown. Normally we give Boardwalk a 5 stars but not this time.
$19 for two pieces of fish, fries and coleslaw 🙄 We went last year and it was three pieces of fish and the fries were very unique and delicious. This time it was nothing special but was surprised with the prices or the quantity we got. Pretty disappointing to be honest with you. Over $90 for four people to eat and an hour and a half later everybody was hungry again 😳
The only thing good about this place is the Great atmosphere…I’ve been wanting to come here for a year now. The prices are outrageous! And the food is nasty..I got the chicken fingers and fries and they both had no flavor …my sweet tea taste old so I got it changed out for a Pepsi. My sons asked why we didn’t go to Fricker’s. The waitress was really nice and checked on us often. I feel like this place is just for the atmosphere that’s it.
Had high hopes. Never got acknowledged even once by the bartender( we sat at the bar so the family behind us could have the table. Bar was small, mostly full but everyone had drinks and food already except one). The customer next to us was asked if he was ready to order and he had to say "aren't you going to help them? They haven't had drinks ordered" about us- which was so nice of him because we would have patiently been still waiting after 20 min. STILL doesn't say hi or anything just let's out a large sigh as if she is annoyed that we are there and looks at us so we jusy quixkly ordered a beer. She never comes to check on us so when Never ordered food and had to wait 20 MORE min to flag her down to even pay so we could just leave. Almost just left cash so we could leave but there were no prices on the menu. I understand if they were busy and understaffed (a lot of open tables after all). We are super patient and nice (if you acknowledged us at ALL and told us you're busy, we will be patient and wait all day long. In my opinion we're too nice and don't say anything) but this was BAD. Never a hello, never how is the beer/ready to order, no thank you when we politely asked for the check and paid. This place is TERRIBLE, spend your money elsewhere. No manager in sight so it seems like this bartender (or other 4 employees that repeatedly walked past us) just do their own thing. We would never have been Karen's, we would have politely asked the manager for a table instead so we could order food quickly and get out. We tip really good even with long waits usually! P.s. we went to the Mexican place in town instead and it was incredible from food to staff (server, manager, other employees just walking by).
Food was horrible! I honestly didn't think somebody could possibly make a hamburger taste bad, but they succeeded. Tacos? Trash. Daughter didn't even eat them. Haley our Waitress was top notch. Atmosphere was nice, but dang the food is not even remotely good. Not to mention the menu is very limited. Half the stuff on Google reviews wasn't even on the menu. Ooofff. Guess I should have read the reviews first before going here.
Got a chicken salad wrap. Horrible!! Couldn’t eat it. Chicken had some kind of strong flavor. Since the chicken was warm I asked for a replacement. It came but was awful. Our waitress was amazing but if you like greasy and awful this is the place for you. However the beer was cold and good.
My family stayed at the Boardwalk Village next door (very nice BTW) this past weekend, gathering for a family event on Monday, with everyone arriving on Sunday at various times, we desired to eat locally and hopefully easily. One of our party walked to the Grill and made reservations for 6pm. The hostess told her that they only take reservations for groups up to 14, but if the others come, they can seat the groups as room allows (We had about 20 potential diners). So, she made the reservations. Due to the limit, and as per suggestion by the hostess, several family members went over early and got seated, then the rest of the group arrived at 6pm for a total of about 18 if I remember correctly. Once the group arrived, the manager, Ms. Anderson, went ballistic on the group telling us that we could not have a group over 14. At 6pm, over half of the tables were open even with our group seated. She said only 14 people could stay, and the folks who were seated first had to go (they even bussed their table!). We were incredulous. Several members of the party had already ordered drinks and appetizers. From there, the manager's response to our shock and surprise was to take a very nasty attitude, and repeatedly answer "we have rules!" I asked to talk to the owner, her response is that he was not there, and she was in charge. After a few minutes of back and forth that admittedly got heated, we were forced to assume they were actually serious about rejecting a reservation for a group that was well within current capacity of the restaurant. Everyone got up and left mostly out of anger and astonishment. The manager was clearly willing to forgo a bill easily at least $1,200 for a rule, ha! Later we heard from someone that the kitchen closed at 6:30 (something never advertised of mentioned during this whole ordeal). My guess is that manager had one of two problems. Kitchen staff that would not be able to deliver food in a timely basis, or wait staff that fully expected to be out of there early. Either way, our group, not a bunch of hotheads that included several octogenarians would have listened to a reasoned response and even been understanding, instead we got led down a path to thinking we had reservations and then got treated like we were some kind of hooligans (I was half expecting the manager to call the cops!) My suggestion to the owner is to seriously work with management on how to handle groups and especially groups near closing times. In the meantime, this family (several live in Celina) will not be recommending this establishment to their friends. Celina Wine Store pizza is a pretty darn good alternative on a Sunday evening, especially if you like your pizza in squares!
We have been here 3 times giving this place the benefit of the doubt. Our last two times we had terrible service the food was so so. This last time we went on 4/13/24 and it was absolutely horrible. We received our appetizers one being loaded fries it was like a soup with lettuce on top. The cheese was so liquid it was just a soupy soaked mess. Our chicken tenders were still raw not cooked all the way. My friend got steak nachos he couldn’t even stomach it. Our service was terrible the table next to us a party of 8 were still waiting to have their drink order etc. taken when we left they had been there at least 30 minutes or longer. The table behind us paid and walked out. They had people still waiting to be served but they were still seating new people coming in. It was just a nightmare of a mess! I never leave reviews for anything but given our bill was around $80 for 2 appetizers and chicken tenders with fries and coleslaw. Save your money and eat some place else! Never again the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had hands down it was that awful.
This was our second time in two days dining here, the first day being a 3 star at best experience but we chalked it up to it being crowded and thought we would go for brunch when they opened and try it again. They open at 11. we were the first ones there and placed our order, 40 minutes go by and no food although other people are now getting their food. They have an open kitchen and you can see they hire teens to young 20s for kitchen staff and they’re picking food off plates with their bare hands and eating it, tossing fries and eating those, touching their hair putting their hands back in food, on their phones putting hands back in food etc. again all with their bare hands. We then flagged our server down ( who was also in the back eating with them at one point) and asked is that our food as it’s been sitting for a while and they were touching it with their bare hands and picking food out of it she goes yes it is. We asked her if we could speak to a manager and she never got one. She told the kitchen staff (who are her friends) to put gloves on. The kitchen member put gloves on and then made faces at us. We ended up leaving, never speaking to a manager or getting food not that we would have wanted it. We would never eat here again. It’s fine to listen to music and have a drink but truly would avoid the food at all cost. We were tempted to call the health department - if that’s what you can see through a kitchen window and the staff is doing that in front of patrons what are they doing where you can’t see them?
Great looking place to bad the food was absolutely horrible for 20 bucks per person to eat. The menu is a joke an the cook is even worse, chicken strips burnt bad, fries might as well just been salt, coleslaw was nasty AF. Paid over 80 bucks for 4 meals that wee burnt badly an honestly everything tastes nasty. Plenty of waitresses but ours wasn't worried bout us, period. Only thing that keeps it open is the alcohol and the view coz the food was horrible!

The waitress was SUPER friendly so thats a plus! The service score only increases because of her. The food: I ordered a burger and my date ordered shrimp tacos. The burger tasted very bland for the price i paid. (15 dollars???) along with the fries. My date lost her sense of taste to covid so she perfers textures. She described the texture of the shrimp to be tough and kinda gamey. (Idk its shrimp.) I tasted it and it was infact, undercooked and overpriced. The atmosphere:. I really wanted to like this place, but the fly problem is absolutely unacceptable. We lost our appetite after flies landed in our food. Its a nice place but definitely not for sitting down and eating. Grab a drink put in a carry out order and enjoy the boardwalk village stuff. Its good food if youre drunk, dont care what you eat, and have money to throw away. I had a gift card to try this food out. I really dont think id spend my own money here ChatGPT said: Got it — thanks for sharing your draft! Here’s a refined version of your review that keeps your honesty and personality but makes it flow smoother and read more polished: The Service: I made a reservation for 6 PM on Tuesday, but when we arrived, no table was ready. My date and I ended up waiting about 15 minutes past our scheduled time. The one bright spot was our waitress—she was incredibly friendly and attentive, and honestly the only reason I’d rate service higher than a one-star. The Food: I ordered the burger while my date went with the shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, the burger was bland and definitely not worth the $15 price tag. The fries were just as forgettable. My date, who focuses more on textures due to lingering effects from COVID, described the shrimp as tough and somewhat gamey. I tried them myself and found they were not only unpleasant but also undercooked. Overpriced and underwhelming pretty much sums it up. The Atmosphere: This was the biggest disappointment. I wanted to like the place, but the fly problem was impossible to ignore. Having flies land on our food killed our appetite completely. It’s a shame, because the setting itself is nice. Honestly, this spot is better suited for grabbing a drink or a carryout order while enjoying the boardwalk, not for sitting down to eat. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a casual spot to eat after a few drinks and don’t mind spending extra for mediocre food, maybe it works. But for me, even with a gift card, it wasn’t worth it. I definitely wouldn’t spend my own money here. Tldr: My bill came out to around $60 for 2 people. The meal felt more like $40.
Our service was horrible. Our server was rude. We still tipped, though. Couldn't get drink refills. I needed water to drink. Told me I had to go get it myself. I had to set up to get drink refills. Our food was cold. The fish was cold and greasy. One thing I will say we enjoyed the atmosphere was nice the music was good the scenery was beautiful. Even when I had to get up and ask for the check, she was rude. I had to return the check to her she was rude. I had to get up and get our own condiments off other tables. I can go on further, but I think you get the gist of it. She was a blonde who had a cheetah print hat on with braces on June 13,2025, Sunday.
