Can't say enough about this place we were invited there by some friends and relatives the food was absolutely delicious, the salads lacked a little bit as the lettuce might have been a little old but the desserts were spectacular! The flavors for the entrees were very unique and exceptional
Came out to Tucson for daughter's graduation from University of Arizona. She wanted to gonout for dinner and chose this place. Have to say, quite a popular place. Glad that we had reservations. Lots of seating indoor and ourdoor. Full bar set up. Our waiter, Keith was delightful and very helpful with our dinner selections. We started with drinks and appetizers. Garlic Rolls and Fried Goat Cheese. We ordered Linguini Vongole, Beef Braciola (outstanding!! Perfectly done), Angolotti, and Risotto. With the dessert counter at the front, you cant help wated to save room for one of the amazing cakes or cannoli Ended up splitting a piece of chocolate mousse cake for desert. Quite decadent. We left with full bellies, satisfied palettes and lunch for the next day.
This is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants you can find in Tucson. I would definitely recommend to make space for one of their desserts because they were delicious, especially the tiramisù. The service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is spacious and clean. We came here earlier this month on a weekend for a late lunch and there were very few people.
Made reservations which is highly recommended and well worth it. Our waitress was Rochelle who was awesome. From her knowledge of the menu to her making sure we were good. The food was delicious, we started with the happy hour appetizer which was Calamari Calabre in a blue cheese sauce. It was the perfect amount of blue cheese not overpowering. Our entrees were also delicious, I ordered the Pork Marsala. The pork was so tender and the mash potatoes were creamy. Husband ordered the Beef Braciola which was a rolled flank steak with some spaghetti. The steak was tender and juicy. For desert we tried the Pope's Pillow, flavorful with fruit, a Duomo and Cannoli's which were all perfect. Thank you for the awesome experience and delicious dinner, would definitely recommend.👍
We were staying at a local hotel and our bartender recommended Bottega and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was delicious, we had the beet chips, pochcetta sliders, calamari, beet salad, pork marsala, and the brownie affogato. Everything was amazing but the calamari dish was unlike any other we have had, it was very unique and was the best thing I have ate in awhile. Our server Keri was amazing and had terrific recommendations. It was so good, that my wife and I plan on making a trip out to Tucson just to have dinner again.
This is my second visit to this restaurant, which is always packed. The service is fantastic. Food is great and prices are reasonable. Will definitely come back. Note, they do get very busy for main dining room, seating, but you can always eat in the bar area which offers full menu options. I’m usually dining solo when in Tucson, so this is a perfect option for me.
We came here for the first time tonight for happy hour. They have happy hour every day from 4 to 7. Except be advised that they are closed on Mondays. The place was hopping, which we loved. Atmosphere was really lively. We had excellent service, we were greeted immediately and received our wine and food very quickly in my opinion. We had three appetizers, the goat cheese, the chicken Spiedini, and the Porchetta sliders… all super duper yummy! This might be our new favorite happy hour place in Oro Valley ❤️ loved every minute.
Botega Michelangelo had been on my list for awhile (we are new to Tucson). Last Sunday we finally went there for dinner. Making a reservation online was easy. We we went in I was impressed by how nicely set the interior dining area is, as well as the patio seating on the back. Our food was excellent in taste and presentation. The appetizer portions are much more generous than at other restaurants, so much so that we had to bring home half of our main entrees. I had the calamari as appetizer and it was delicious, my husband had the mussels in tomato and white wine broth and it was very good too. I had the Beef Braciola for my main dish, excellent as well. We'd definitely be back and try the outdoor seating.
Sooo tasty!! Definitely would recommend. I had the shrimp tortellini which was BOMB. My family ordered the lasagna, salmon, chicken and risotto and there were no complaints! We topped dinner off with the chocolate decadence cake and it was delicious … clearly. Drinks were really good too. Staff was friendly!
Crazy busy during Happy Hour with 1/2 price appetizers and amazing drink specials. What was not half was the service and the food. Our group had a wide range of the apps and none was disappointed. I highly recommend the Lamb Chop Lollipops (I ordered a second one, it was so good) and the Limoncello Torta (not on happy hour pricing but worth every penny). The White Negroni was also delicious and $5! Definitely get reservations for parties of 5 or more like we did because they were at standing room only right up and probably past 7 pm when we left. We went on a Friday night.p
I was part of a large group in a private dining room. We enjoyed appetizers of mussels, calamari, and bruschetta, each with its own delicious sauce. The menu was expansive and I ordered the cannelloni, which was delicious! All the servings were ample and we had quite a bit left over actually! The service was friendly, efficient and timely.
Looooooove this place. My family went here a couple times as a kid and we enjoyed it but hadn’t gone in a while. We went last night to celebrate my parents’ anniversary, and it was an enjoyable experience. The ambiance was welcoming and fun, if a little loud. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. I unfortunately forgot our server’s name but we loved his professionalism and promptness. He was fun to talk to but also not overbearing and let us enjoy our time together. The food was mouth-watering. I got the Tortelloni, my dad got the eggplant parmesan, and my mom got the cannelloni. We shared a ceasar salad and my mom ordered a house Pinot Grigio. I should start my saying that my mom is breathing down my neck to make sure I write that they hand make their pasta, instead of buying it from somewhere. I don’t know if that’s true, but I assume so, and that’s really cool. All dishes were reasonably priced and portioned so I didn’t feel like I ate too much or too little. The salad was done the traditional way instead of mass market. So instead of being tossed in a bowl, they take uncut leaves and dress them on the plate. I unfortunately didn’t get a picture. We got a tiramisu and some gelato for dessert which were also addicting to eat. Every dish, including the dessert, was light in the mouth. What I mean is, I didn’t feel like I was so full, I’d throw up in 2 bites. The tiramisu was spongy and soft. No single flavor was overpowering so thank you to the chefs for understanding balance. Us neurospicy people are happy. Anyway there’s lots of parking! And they put in the work to produce gluten free options on the menu.
Their happy hour deals are UNBEATABLE! We love coming here for a fun date night because the vibes are awesome and we can try pretty much every appetizer for such a great price! The desserts are also so delicious. Again great prices and great atmosphere! Service is always really good as well. Also the fried goat cheese is to die for!
OMG! This place was amazing!!! Their dinner bread was so incredibly good I had to buy a loaf to take home with me. Their desserts were also incredible. Their eggplant parm was not what I was used to as the eggplant was very thinly sliced and stacked almost like lasagne layers. It was incredibly delicious as was their spaghetti that came with it. Their red sangria paired perfectly with the meal. 10/10 highly recommend!!
I was a kid, the one and only time I've been here before (years ago). I recently chose this place to meet a friend for dinner, only to find out that dining room seating is "reservation only", which was disappointing in the moment, but understandable based on how busy they appeared to be! We simply decided to try again later and make a reservation for another time (tonight). OH MY GOODNESS! #worthit Fantastic food, exceptional service, higher-but-affordable prices. We were on time for our reservation, but we still had to wait 30+ mins to be seated. I'm not even mad. Like I said, WORTH IT! We had the cauliflower cakes, meatballs, and garlic rolls to start (all wonderful - I can't even describe the symphony of flavors). Then tagliatelle alfredo and lasagna for our main courses (fire!) I gave in and ordered cookie butter cheesecake to go as well (took a small bite just cuz, and it was very good). Hands-down keeping this place in mind from now on! So yummy. And such a nice spot for dates, family get togethers, or friends gathering (we saw it all!) An added bonus was the amazing open floor plan, no loud music blasting overhead, and super attentive staff (especially considering how busy they were). Loved it! Thank you so much to everyone who made our night special.
We headed out for a birthday dinner and Italian was in the menu. First time at Michaelangelo's and it was a home run. We started with some bruschetta apps which were awesome. Couple of pictures of our main dishes, tortellini and rigatoni. The deserts are great tasting and very large inside. Good tap selection and the Pinot was good as well. Our waitress izabella rounded out a wonderful experience.
Came here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. The food and service were excellent! Many options on the menu. Helpful wait staff. Excellent quality food and good portions. Prices not too bad for a "fancy" place. Also, it's fancy and classy but you don't feel out of place if you're just casual either. Huge assortment of delicious desserts also! Overall, it was a great experience and we would go again.
This was our first time at Bottega Michelangelo. The parking lot is under construction so you may have to park on dirt but don't let that deter you. It is absolutely worth it! The restaurant is a great blend of indoor/outdoor accommodations. The atmosphere is very lively. It was about 5 pm when we checked in. The bar area was packed, will have to check out their happy hour in the future. We chose indoor seating and started with mussels and calamari. Oh my goodness... absolutely mouthwatering. The mussels were served in a rich, red sauce with blue cheese topped bruschetta. The calamari were fried and surrounded by a delicious creamy sauce with peppers. The flavors were well balanced in both dishes. The mussels were sweet and paired well with the funky blue cheese. The calamari were lightly crispy and the creaminess of the sauce was fantastic. For entrees we had risotto, tortelloni, and linguine marina bianco. Each entree was superb. The sweet pop of peas in the creamy risotto, the tender langistinos and fruitiness of the calabrian peppers in the tortelloni and the linguine loaded with seafood and light clam sauce were all wonderful! In the pics you can see the generous portion sizes. One entree came out a bit later than the others but we appreciated the urgency from our server and the kitchen to get it out quickly! This was one of the best dining experiences were had in Tucson!
Oh my goodness this place was soooo amazing. Im so glad we made the drive!! We came for my birthday and sat outside. The server was very attentive and nice. They bring out bread with garlic oil/balsamic with you to munch at at first. We ordered the meatballs to share as an appetizer(yum). We each got our own pasta and the portions were HUGE(also very yummy). This made me very happy! The server also brought me a tiramsau for my birthday😍 Definitely recommend this place and cant wait to come back!
Five Star all the way. Lauren, our server, was attentive to our needs and made suggestions for the menu. From the bread and oil dip, then the eggplant parmesan and cannelloni followed up by the tiramisu and peanut butter cheesecake (heavenly) to the bottle of wine to go along with our meal everything was spot on great. Can y'all say YUM? We did!
Nice server and phenomenal bread to start the evening. Fried calamari (not breaded), cannelloni, pork marsala, pizza and more. Modern Italian cuisine and feel, and pretty loud inside on Saturday evening 0800. Will try sitting outside next time. Thank you from your Tucson friends 😎😇🙏
I had the tortelloni with shrimp, langostinos, roasted red pepper, and Calabrian chili cream, and it was absolutely exceptional. The flavors were perfectly balanced and beautifully executed. The service was fantastic, as it always is whenever I visit. This place continues to be a favorite of mine.
Our first time ... DEFINITELY not our last. Food, service and atmosphere were all great as were the HH food deals from 4-7 both in terms of variety and price. My wife had a HH drink and she loved that too. My wife had seafood pasta (pic) and I had a slice of their pizza of the day, the lamb lollipops and we shared the goat cheeae app. All were delicious and our waiter was terrrific. Already looking forward to our next time.
The pictures do it justice. Can't complain only can think about when I'll get to go back again. If you don't like it your probably grumpy and need some happy hour which is served throughout. Nana was ur front making sure everything was in order and the staff know who tips... Great service throughout. This is Scottsdale level in Tucson. Highly don't recommend because they are too good and too busy. I wanna get a reservation boohahaha
Clean restaurant with a spacious dining area and plenty of comfortable seating. The service was great, friendly and attentive throughout the visit. They start you off with complimentary, fresh oven-hot bread served with an olive oil and vinegar mix, which was a nice touch. The pastas didn’t quite hit the mark for us, but the salad and pizza were excellent and definitely worth ordering. Also, a bonus: they have happy hour on Sundays from 4–7 PM, which makes it a great spot to stop by for a relaxed meal or early dinner.
The seafood pasta was fantastic — the tomato sauce tasted slow-cooked and rich, not like the typical jar sauce you find in many places. The seafood was fresh and generous, and you can tell the kitchen actually cooks the dish instead of just assembling it. One detail I really appreciated was the shrimp on top of the pasta. It was clearly grilled first, giving it a beautiful flavor and texture. That kind of attention to detail shows the chefs really care about what they’re serving. We also ordered the risotto and the lamb chops, and both were excellent. The risotto was creamy and well balanced, and the lamb was perfectly cooked. Restaurants that truly put effort into their food deserve to be supported, and this is definitely one of them. We will absolutely come back.
My husband and I went to Michelangelo’s, with family to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Our waiter was really nice, the food was great. I had the Lasagna ( I’m very picky about my Lasagna) it was the best Lasagna I’ve ever had. We also got a complimentary piece of Tiramisu with Happy Anniversary written in Chocolate, which really made the dinner special! Thank you Michelangelo’s for the wonderful dinner!
Took my wife here for Valentines day for lunch. Was very impressed with the service we received. Very excellent food, and very extensive menu. Kate was amazing 👏!
Our favorite and the best Italian restaurant in Tucson! Been here many times. Food is always top notch as is the service!
It may get a little noisy, but then again, no great Italian kitchen has been known for whispering. I guess it actually sets a vibe for dinner, if you are looking for a dark, candle lit, romantic and quite location, probably not your first choice. This is more of table full of family or friends each with a glass of whine, sangria (really good here), or a whiskey and coke enjoying great a time over dinner.
Went out and tried this restaurant for the first time. The food and drink were amazing! Our server was kinda having some attitude so that’s why I had service 4/5 stars but overall I was very impressed with the restaurant and the food quality. Will definitely be back for the food! House margarita was so tasty 😋. I would get that again.
Only did Happy Hour and dessert. Excellent service, food was very good with GF option, dessert was excellent. Will definitely go again!
Best Italian north side of Tucson. We come here monthly. Be prepared to leave stinking of garlic but as long as you all do! From the great bread and garlic and olive oil. Everything is tasty and fresh. I often have the Al Forno pasta or the risotto. Service is timely. Make a reservation to make sure you don’t wait outside. Much better and cheaper than North Italia which many claim is a competitor. Also. Vivace has never impressed me. Only time we were there the food was meh, service terrible and prices way too high. Come here instead and get a good meal with a bottle of Italian wine and tax and tip for $100-120.
Found this place with my friend when we was visit & fell in love with the bread. It is so soft & fresh. The maple bacon cheesecake is hands down the BEST cheesecake I've EVER had. It was creamy, not too rich and the flavours were balanced and not too sweet. I don't even live in Tuscon anymore and I still think about it and how I can never have it again. Only place I know that does bread with olive oil, vinegarette and garlic which I love. Often ordered for pick up to enjoy at home when I was craving the bread. Service was always great and the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely takes you out of Tuscon for a bit which was nice. Would make for a great date night too with the Europe vibe. Definitely miss this place!
I have been trying to come here for months for happy hour and dinner but it was always busy so I tried it for lunch and voila! I had the mussel appetizers and the rigatoni gorganzola and had the homemade tiramisu for dessert. Everything was as good as advertised and worth the wait! The staff was friendly and helpful and the limoncello mule was great too
If you enjoy trying entres not commonly used in every Italian restaurant you might find yourself a repeat customer here. The service is attentive and smooth. Though often busy, we've never been rushed through a meal. Sorry I can't reccomended a desert other than one of their scrumptious cookies. No one has ever had room left to indulge. Mangia!
Fantastic food. Lovely, kind, and attentive service. We had rigatoni gorgonzola, carbonara, pappardelle Bolognese, Sistine pizza and tiramisu - all excellent. We were stuffed - big portions! Real ingredients. Great coffee. We felt a little underdressed in mostly t-shirts in shorts. More of a polo/blouse level. We will be back!
We ordered from the family style takeout menu. It was soooo good! We got the mista salad, spaghetti and meatballs, cannolis, arancini, and kids pasta. It was all delicious! It was carefully packed and easy to serve once we got home. We will definitely order again soon!
Incredible restaurant! Everything on the menu is amazing from appetizers through dessert. This is my wife and I's new favorite date night destination. To top it off the service has always been excellent as well. You should go for any meal, any time, for any occasion!
The service was excellent. The server David was exceptional. He never waited until we needed something. He was always there and responded professionally and attentively. He was incredible. And the food tasted amazing. We tried different dishes, and every one of them were very, very good.
Bottega Michelangelo is, without a doubt, a culinary masterpiece and deserves every one of these five stars. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere transported us straight to Tuscany, but the true stars of the evening were the dishes themselves. We started our journey with two fantastic appetizers: the Arancini and Mama's Homemade Meatballs. Both were truly delicious—the Arancini were perfectly crisp on the outside with a creamy, flavorful risotto filling, and the meatballs were tender, savory, and clearly made with love. For our main courses, we shared the Porchetta, the Bucatini Carbonara, and the Chicken Arrostito. I can confidently say that all three entrees were "to die for." The Porchetta was rich and succulent, the Carbonara was authentic, creamy, and wonderfully executed, and the Chicken Arrostito was beautifully roasted and seasoned. Each plate was a testament to authentic Italian cooking. To finish our amazing meal, we indulged in the Ricotta Cheesecake, which was simply amazing—light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. Bottega Michelangelo delivers an exceptional dining experience that is a must-try for anyone seeking the best Italian food in Tucson. We can't wait to return!
Group gathering and delicious options for all. Pasta is incredible. The pork crepes were affectionately referred to as "Italian enchiladas" and they were so savory good! Desserts were equally delicious, do not pass that up! Great location. Very friendly and connected staff. Highly recommend!

Estupendo servicio.
Delicioso
Delicioso!
My son and I were spending the night in the Tucson area and googled a place to eat. We picked this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience in every way. First our server, Emily, was such a pleasant happy intelligent person it was joy to have her serve us. We made some changes to the menu and she made sure our food was perfect. She answered all questions about the menu. She made sure we had constant fast service for everything from drinks to food to desert. What a beautiful server!!! We had two salads strawberry and Caesar both delicious and fresh. I had rosemary garlic ribeye with roasted vegetables. The steak was at the exact temperature I ordered and tender and delicious. My son’s pasta was some of the best he ever had. Finally a fresh in house made cannoli that was awesome. This place is definitely 5 stars plus!!!
The ambiance is nice. Waiters pay attention. The bread and garlic and balsamic vinegar was delicious. I ordered the pork dish. It was tasty, a little cold like it has been cooked earlier in the day and merely reheated. The greens are a nice addition but a little salty. My boyfriend ordered the cannelloni and it was basically two crepes wrapped up with meat inside. I don’t really recommend this one. It seemed like he was still hungry afterwards. Overall a great place for Italian food but order wisely.
Place overall is great, but such an odd place for food quality. The garlic rolls are incredible! Get them as an appetizer. I got the porchetta which was amazing - so flavorful, tender, and juicy. My wife got the canneloni, which was mediocre at best. Felt like it was missing something in terms of flavor and the fact that it's wrapped in a crepe (thin pancake) instead of using pasta created an odd texture. We each had glasses of wine ( a red and white), which were very delicious. For dessert, I highly recommend the coconut cake. My wife got the Italian wedding cake.
Very good experience with a really friendly and efficient staff who waited for both of us to be finished before taking our place which is something that I always appreciate. The food was very good. The Bolognese was well done and the pesto was delicious. My only comment is that there are Italian typos in the menu, which is funny, if not tragic at an Italian restaurant
The atmosphere is outstanding and the presentation of the entire meal made us feel transported to NYC or Italy. I highly recommend ordering the Golden Beets with chicken breast on the side. We had one issue with the meal and it was handled discreetly, and promptly. Thank you to Robert our waiter, for your most excellent service!
Bottega Michelangelo is a very fancy place to attend, it has the wonderful ambience of a fine-dining restaurant, a vast selection of classic Italian dishes and helpful staff ready to attend your requests. Personally, I ordered the Salmon, and it was definitely a perfect choice, the presentation of all the dishes at my table was far better than my expectations. The staff were extremely attentive and caring about questions related to the menu and always giving you time that you need. The food left me surprised and stuffed and when I ordered dessert I felt I was ready to burst. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Duomo, and while I didn't find it to my taste, it's perfect for a classic sweet Italian flavor. Mainly dessert and layout pictures are down below, hope you enjoy the review as much as I enjoyed writing it and eating the delicious food! I recommend the Salmon, Swordfish, and Mussels!
This place was slammed when I went. I was able to get a seat at the bar. Unfortunately the place was extremely busy so the service wasn't the greatest. That's really what kept me from giving it 5 stars. The food was really good. Definitely the best chicken parmesan I've had in Tucson. The sauce had a very nice spice to it. The roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic were very good as well. I don't think that I would order the minestrone soup again though.
Place was amazing, great vibe and our server was amazing. We ordered the items below: Appetizers: Arancini (Best I’ve ever had), house made meatballs (were delicious). The bucatini carbonara wasn’t the best, I prefer thinner pasta than what it came with. Also, there was an overpowering flavor that didn’t let me enjoy the meal. The chicken parmigiana was very delicious though. Leave room for dessert! It’s worth it!!! I had the salted caramel affogato, very delicious! I’ll go back for dessert and the chocolate mouse cake! We loved it! (Please improve your carbonara, also the bread and oil, the oil had way too much garlic in it. Thanks for trying to keep us healthy, but it was just too overpowering.) Thank you!
This was our third visit to this restaurant, and this restaurant is always packed. So popular. We really enjoyed all food and dessert as well. Definitely, we will visit again. But one thing is.. service is good except the manager at the front. They are always little grumpy to customers who asked table. I totally understand because this place so busy and always packed. But they should be kind to anyone
We arrived a bit early for a noon reservation and were greeted well and immediately seated by friendly staff. Our server, David, was very attentive . We decided on splitting an order of Misti Salad and Funghi Pizza. Both the Balsamic Dressing and Blue Cheese Dressing were very tasty and enjoyable on the salad. The Funghi Pizza looked nice as presented, and I really liked the Caramelized Onions. They seemed to be cooked down in a bit of Red Wine and were just shy of jammy. The Mushrooms were also perfectly cooked down. The Sauce was cooked, not fresh, and thankfully not over seasoned making a very tasty pie. The bread seemed fresh and tasty with a nice rise, and well cooked with a nice crunch. Small down side was toward the center it was quite wet and overly floppy, probably due to the sauce and toppings, but on the plus side it wasn’t soggy. As far as Pizza goes in Tucson, I’d rate this as one of my favorites. The restaurant was quite noisy and we had to lean in a lot to talk and hear each other without shouting. Overall I would absolutely return to try other menu items.
Normally the food, service and atmosphere are good and I enjoy going to this restaurant. Last time, however, several of us got food that was not hot. I sent my food back and after 5-10 minutes I still didn't have it while everyone else was eating.
Some nice wines were offered, but our bottle came out pretty warm. We asked for a nice bucket to bring it to cellar temperature, But they couldn't seem to find one. It was a shame cuz it was very nice and a pretty expensive bottle. The appetizers were fine. My linguine with clams was very good, the chicken parmesan was pretty mushy.
We had a good time, they were very busy. Kate was our waitress, She was very nice, but I do think she had too many tables to serve us the way we should have been. The food was good, the desert was better. The noise was bad, you had to talk loud to have a conversation. I would go back, but maybe try sitting outside.?
I was super excited to try this restaurant because it received great reviews, however I was disappointed. The ambiance was great and it was very busy for a Friday night. If you decide to go, definitely make reservations! I ordered the gnocchi and that was good- the portion size was huge! I ate on it twice. My boyfriend got the beef braciola. He got that because our waitress said it always sold out and was super popular. He just thought it was okay. The sauce was bland and didn't wow him. The bread you receive before your meal is amazing! The olive oil/balsamic had minced garlic which gave it a nice twist. Overall, we were disappointed. The food seemed average for Italian food. At this point, I'm not sure if we will be back, as we want to try other places.
I was pretty let down coming to this place. They are always very busy, so I figured they would be pretty good. Went about 2:00 p.m. place was not very busy like usual. Took them about 20 minutes to get me my drink after ordering it. Took them about 35 minutes to get the food. So the service was very poor. I was actually in the mood for eegee's it's right across the street, but my son wanted to go there for his birthday. I looked at the menu ,I seen they had a grinder which is what I wanted from eegee's. Sounds like this works out great ,I'll get my grinder. Unfortunately they're very expensive grinder was nothing but a few slices of meat with a salad on top. Not any grinder sauce, it was a good thing I asked for Mayo on the side of the wise it would have just been dried bread. You'll get a way better Grinder from eegee's and pay a lot less. So for my small grinder sandwich and a bowl of pasta that my son got and two beverages. Came out to over $70. So to me this place is very overrated.
The food was okay, the ingredients were fresh. Friendly service but slow, with about a 5- 10 minutes wait each time we asked for something. I was disappointed that the Sonora Restaurant Week menu wasn’t available until 3 p.m., this wasn’t mentioned on the promo page.😕Which left me unsure how to feel about this visit. It seems a bit sketchy to pull this trick for a solid restaurant like this. Tucson has better options; I’m unlikely to return.
Best waiter we’ve ever had. My dish was pretty good, my partners pasta was bland. Cocktails are not good - I’d try the wine instead if I were to go back. Great atmosphere.
We went on a Sunday evening for a birthday dinner. They still had a great happy hour even on a Sunday and the Italian margarita was fantastic! I enjoyed the gnocchi and my husband said his beef entree was ok, but my teen did not like the cannelloni at all (and he’s not a picky eater). Biggest issue was the service. We waited a long time for everything. Unfortunately a restaurant we probably won’t make the drive to come back to.
Oh, my! My 2nd visit last Tuesday, December 2nd was abysmal! The restaurant was understaffed (a scheduling or management "in house" problem). Our group of Sorority sisters struggled to remain composed when just getting water at the table for each of us took literally 30 minutes! The experience went downhill from there.... Of course, we all ordered different items from the menu. I ordered the traditional lasagna, because l had enjoyed it from a previous visit. What l was served was STARKLY different from the lasagna l had enjoyed less than a month prior (so "consistency' left a LOT to be desired). Then, an hour "in", we FINALLY received the complimentary bread & dipping oil, BUT there was literally ONE slice of bread for each person at the table [which felt "stingy"] ...and the requested additional bread never arrived [in the 2+ hours we were there...for LUNCH]! (So, the "attention to detail" was visibly lacking). At 1.5 hours "in" our meals were finally served (AFTER having to prompt the waiter to "please, check on our order/s")...and two of the 11 meals were wrong (again, "attention to detail" was overtly lacking). We ended with at least 2 attendees asking to "speak to the manager". I didn't wait around to hear those exchanges, but our overall experience left all of us visibly disappointed! (We did have reservations for our group.) There IS work to be done [in-house] before l would splurge on dining here again. I cannot speak for my other table mates but, for me personally, the value for the price was MIA!!
Very disappointing experience. Took guests from out of town. Restaurant was out of many items, especially many wines. One in our party was able to get the last serving of one of the entrees. Service was very good and food was pretty good. Took a couple of desserts home and they were excellent.
We visited this restaurant two days in a row, on Friday and Saturday evening for dinner. On Friday, we had an excellent experience. The service was great, the food was good, and everything arrived quickly. I specifically asked for a cappuccino, not a latte, and I received exactly what I ordered. My family and I enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back the next day. Unfortunately, our experience on Saturday was completely different. The service was very slow and disappointing. It took about 10 minutes for the server to come to our table, another 10 minutes to receive our coffees, and another 10 minutes just to get dessert. Everything felt rushed yet poorly organized. Once again, I ordered a cappuccino and received a latte instead. When I pointed this out, the server offered to remake it. I agreed, but the second drink was the same latte served in a different cup. To make matters worse, I was charged for both drinks even though the first one was taken away. While the food may be good, the inconsistency in service makes us not want to return. If this restaurant relies on customers who are not familiar with Italian food and coffee culture, it may succeed. However, for someone who grew up with this culture, it is not easy to be misled. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.
Busy night. Saturday,January 24. Even though we had a 6 pm. Reservation, we waited a half hour for a horrible table near entrance. Bar service slow. Caesar salad was horrible. Bottled dressing. Won’t return anytime soon. Dinners were ok.
