As a Californian, one of the phenomenons that puzzled me coming into Minneapolis was that not just one, but multiple restaurants could be known well for their seafood in a landlocked state. However, Ciao Bella became an excellent learning experience - the dishes here took my senses on an adventure of taste, ranging from comforting to experimental in ways that constantly delighted me. I will be thinking fondly of the bright Red Pepper Linguini (pictured below). On top of that, the service here was top notch. By the time I left, it was no longer surprising to me why it was so busy on a Thursday evening, and I will be looking forward to returning if I am ever in the area.

This is one of the best if not the best restaurant we went ti during our stay in Minneapolis, food was delicious, service was great and their patio is the best. I Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Absolutely amazing experience! Came here on Friday and was running a little late for my reservation. When called, the host was extremely accommodating! They held my reservation for an additional 30 minutes until I could arrived! Truly amazing. Upon arrival, they had people similar to bellhops opening the door for you and greeting you. Once sat, the server and other attendants were super friendly and accommodating. They all offered excellent hospitality. Our server for the night explained all their specialties and even made recommendations based of our preference. The food came out very quickly and it was hot and delicious. Everything tasted amazing. For appetizers we got seared ahi tuna, avocado bruschetta, and crab cakes. For the entree we got spicy crab spaghetti and fettuccine and chicken but with shrimp instead and everything literally tasted amazing. I would highly recommend the appetizers and entrees! I would also definitely return.

This was one of the best Minnesota restaurants I've ever been to! Now I understand why it's always packed with people. I went to meet him on a Wednesday late afternoon and even during the week I was surprised by the number of people, and the service was very good, everyone was kind and the food was very delicious, including the desserts, I will definitely go for more times.

I had a party of 10 visit Ciao Bella following my wedding ceremony. I could not have picked a better place. The food was divine, every guest loved the dish they selected as well as their drinks. The best part was the service, Jerome was a spectacular addition to the evening by being so attentive and warm. He went above and beyond to help us serve my wedding cake I brought in. I wanted him to sit down and eat with us! Thank you Jerome!!! It was very busy late on a Tuesday night (the day before NYE), so it was difficult to hear at times despite having a table tucked back a bit from the main area. I am sad it's taken me so long to visit this place, and I cannot wait to return!

Started off with freshly baked bread and amazong butter. This is where I messed up because I had two servings, and the second had just come out of the oven. YUMMY!!! I had La Crema Monterey wine. Full blend and fruity. Just the best. My BF had strawberry lemonade. This is the first time I ever preferred a non alcoholic beverage just because of the taste alone. I started to tell them to make mine a cocktail by adding a hot of vodka. It was just that good. We had the Calamari and Braised Lamb from the small bites menu. You can definitely eat off that menu for entre because the servings were a great size and easily sharable. I had the Red Pepper Linguini and scallops. BEST SCALLOPS I EVER HAD IN MY CULINARU EXPERIENCES. Tender, seasoned very well, buttery, and seared to perfection. The cream sauce on the linguine could be put in a jar and sold separately in a market near you. TRUST AND BELIEVE. Bets to get the large portion and not half size. My boyfriend had the 16 oz NY strip. When you order a steak, this is how you are supposed to receive it. We had no room for dessert. But I wish we did. We took food home The atmosphere was perfect. You can dine in the restaurant, in the lounge, or on the patio. ALL ARE HUGE. Our waiter was amazing and on point. Went over and beyond.

Our server was amazing! He was incredibly attentive, gave us ideas, conversed with us, and checked on us accordingly. The food was delicious. The picture with the green noodles, was the best (it's actual name escapes me)! The calamari was lightly breaded which is perfect, and the dipping sauce was a great addition. The patio has heaters as well! Definitely an awesome spot!

I went there for valentines day! Great service, placed us right next to fire place, I couldn't have expected any more topnotch professional & kind services! The food was amazing !

Google help me find Ciao Bella! Tucked into a business park area, parking lot was full but with two bars, indoor and outdoor seating areas the place absorbed all the guests. A bit noisy on a busy night but the food came timely, was excellent as was the staff. They had a Halibut special as one of the mains and it was outstanding. I was told by a local to try the Walleye on a return visit.

Visiting Ciao Bella for a business lunch and it didn't dissapoint. Good portions and all the plates looked great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I live 45 minutes away and still make time to head that way for dinner. If weather allows dine out on the patio.

Not originally from Minnesota. Stopped in here while waiting near the airport for flights. Best decision! This venue is fantastic. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean facility. Lots of affordable and “splurge” food options available. Immense drink list. Perfect outdoor and open-air bar seating for nice weather. This restaurant has it all. Definitely a MUST visit.

A superb restaurant with superb service. Bread basket was awesome and asked for another one which came no problem. Every meal was perfect: spaghetti and meatballs, pork chops, scallops, and risotto. Parmesan shrimp appetizer was special.

This place is a 6/5 every time for me. The food is fantastic, but what truly sets them apart from other restaurants is their entire staff. Above and beyond service, personable, fun, and knowledgeable. What was also impressive to me is that the staff usually remembers you as well, sometimes even down to what your order was last time. Fun, slightly louder atmosphere, great patio, happy hour with great selection, and lasting memories. Will come here again, and again. We ordered a bottle of rose to split and I went classic with pasta and meatballs dish. The serving was so big that I took left overs home. If you're into wine, the staff is knowledgeable and passionate about finding you the perfect glass of wine. Parking - big parking lot connected to restaurant. I've never have had a hard time finding a spot even when busy. Reservations - depending on size of party/time of day, I'd usually recommend a reservation as they are always busy here. They can accommodate walk-ins but sometimes you will have to wait up to 30-40 min. Enjoy!

Food delicious, service on on point! The linguini di mare is very well prepared and absolutely delicious. They have this first come first serve area next to the bar. This is great for single diners or people with no reservations. I popped in had a delicious and pleasant dinner. My server was so polite and helpful. I absolutely recommend this place if you are in the area and crave for good Italian food.

The food was fantastic. We were a group of 4 and went for lunch. We ordered a Brussels sprouts for the table. I had the tomato avocado flatbread, my colleagues had a lamb pasta, filet-mignon, and salmon. The warm bread is delicious. Their service is quick and attentive. There are some vegetarian options but you’ll have to look closely at the menu to figure it out. But it would be nicer to have some more vegetarian options ( or at least for them to be marked separately and clearly on the menu)

I recommend this scrumptious Italian spot. Menu is solid and the service is good. I recommend the spaghetti and crab along with the Brasiliana salad. The pumpkin cake in the winter is also another solid choice.

We were in the area and wanted to go to a charming place for a light meal. Ciao Bella was perfect for it! We sat outside to enjoy the fresh air and ordered some very yummy food: burrata with prosciutto and crostini and Kale salad. Along came some very fresh warm bred with a lovely crunchy crust. Rhubarb and strawberry crisp was the choice of dessert. It was very flavorful and it would be even more delightful if it were warmer contrasting with the coolness of the made-in-house vanilla scoop of ice cream. But this is personal preference and didn’t take away from the experience. Melissa took very good care of us! Thanks!

I walked over from the Hilton across the highway, as this restaurant was highly recommended by my client, and I was not disappointed. Even though it was a Tuesday night two weeks before Christmas, the place was hopping. The dining area was packed and was very loud and wait times for a table were long, but since I was by myself, I was seated immediately at the bar in the enclosed patio, which was separate from the main restaurant and much more quiet and cozy. It was a tight fit and not the most comfortable seating position for eating, but the selection of local beers and the attentive bartender made up for that. Plus the Walleye Milanese, lightly breaded and pan seared to crispy perfection with mashed potatoes and basil marinated tomatoes was out of this world, and I highly recommend it. I just wish I had returned for dinner on Wednesday to try a different dish instead of eating at the Bloomington ChopHouse in my hotel which was awful. The only reason I didn’t give the atmosphere at Ciao Bella 5 stars was because of the overly loud dinning room, but a quieter experience is just my preference.

Very friendly hostesses and service staff. Relaxing and Comfortable seating area, great selections from the menu with extensive wine /drinks .The most tender and juicy scallops I had for appetizer. Other appetizers were great, too. Salmon was cooked perfectly with flavorful risotto. Desserts were great. My friends and I enjoyed our meals. Decent portions with reasonable price. Patio was closed for the winter . Highly recommended .

Sea Bass ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lamb Linguini ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tuscan Kale Salad ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red wine; Blend Origin Swift '8 Years in the Desert', Cali ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = $140ish (including tip) for two Notes: Sea Bass is possibly the best item on the menu. Incredible service. Perfect for business or romantic outings! We went on a Tue at 7pm without reservations, it was a 30-40min wait but the bar area and quality of the experience made the wait worth it. It was quite packed, so something to consider when scheduling your visit if noise level is a concern.

Great outdoor space! Lovely selection of Italian dishes and be sure to ask about the specials! The mushroom truffle pizza was a stand-out and our server was so nice and the right amount of attentive!

Had a fabulous romantic date here. My boyfriend and I made a reservation where he said we were on a date, and we suspect that they gave us the table in front of the fireplace because of that. If so, how thoughtful! I loved it. Our server, Donny, was awesome, as was the person supporting the floor with water refills and such. I think his name was Santiago. They were both kind and diligent and took great care of us. The food was excellent. The texture on the calamari wasn't rubbery at all, and everything we got was delicious. We also each got a cocktail, and boy were those stiff. We didn't have to wait very long for anything either. The kitchen seems to really have its act together. Safe bet if you're trying to have a "nice night out" or impress guests with classy food!

J

The best food and atmosphere. We come from a family that dines out frequently, so we tend to be picky and quite the food critics. This blew our minds. The pork chops— don’t question it. Just order them! The gluten free noodles are superior to any other noodle other there, gluten free or not! Make your reservation and give this place a shot for your next family dinner or date night!

We were visiting from out of town. Ciao was recommended and it was all the hype. We arrived around 330pm and the outdoor areas was almost full. Highly recommend the small plates to share. Crab cakes and calamari were some of the best. Tomato Basil soup was well balanced. The halibut with Asian theme was light and refreshing! The service was excellent. Such a nice team.

L
Laura Trantham

Excellent service! Madison was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient but didn't rush us. The fish special , Halibut was served on farro with a savory tomato sauce and was done perfectly. Salads are always delicious, good selection of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as cocktails. The biggest drawback for me is that the acoustics are awful. It is very loud and difficult to hear people at your table. It has always been that way. We continue to go back because of the food and service.

One of my favorites by far. The patio was so lovely for a lunch date and the food was exquisite! I normally don’t like crab cakes either, but these were incredible! Wow! A much have for sure. Thank you Ciao Bella staff for an incredible experience. We will be back for sure. Chad and Lucy. 🥰🙏

This place is a Italian restaurant, it does offer items on the menu for those that are not pasta fans. Out of the dishes we tried, only one we did not care for. The Fettuccine with Chicken. The chicken was tender and delicious, the rest of the dish was very bland no flavor. It was not a favorite at the table. The service was on point. The atmosphere is great for any occasion.

A

The food and staff are always amazing! This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the twin cities . It's in a beautiful building with really nice atmosphere. Candles at the table, fresh bread with butter at the beginning of the meal. My favorite appetizer is the sirloin on crostini, but I've had the crab cakes and the Caesar which are both super flavorful. Try the tortiglioni pasta if you have not already. It's one of the best versions of this classic that I've ever had.

S

We love Ciao Bella! Food, drinks and service are always amazing. Great place to go for date night, birthdays, bring friends and even kids. They have a great variety of food. Always super helpful and accommodating. Their pizza, salads, pasta and fish are amazing.

Dinner was pretty good and drinks were great. It was fairly loud as others have said but that wasn't much of a bother. The brussel sprouts, often a favorite of ours, were pretty bad. I'd advise skipping that.

Ciao Bella is my absolute, favorite lunch spot in the twin cities! And it’s especially nice in the warmer months when you’re able to sit on their charming patio. The food is consistently fantastic here and the service is efficient as well as professional. I have yet to eat here without ordering the tomato and avocado flatbread. It is one of the best pizza dishes that I have ever had anywhere! The crust is so cracker thin and crispy that it stays level when holding a slice. Topped with cold marinated tomatoes and avocado, it’s my absolute favorite dish! I also highly recommend the tuna burger seared rare it is incredibly flavorful! And make sure to try their tortiglioni Rosa pasta it’s fantastic! I have yet to have ordered something I didn’t enjoy from here, even the bread is amazing! I also enjoy the fact that this restaurant has stayed consistent to what they’ve always been “post” COVID. There are no QR codes, they provide you with a menu, they still offer bread, and there is no service charge. If I had 1 complaint it would be that I wish their wine list had more French wines to choose from.

A
Adam Wilson

Excellent dinner and drinks here with a friend tonight. I hadn't been here in about 5 years but I'll remember this for future business dinners and other upscale meetings with friends. The crab cakes were excellent and so was the salmon special. They also have an good wine selection and various desserts. It is a bit loud and conversation can be tough though.

MUST TRY. Very nice experience. I went here on a date with my boyfriend, the food was excellent. We started with baked, it was a nice temp and texture. It was sourdough. I got the classic blue salad, it was great as well. Simple. For my entree I got the ravioli it was amazingggggg, highly reccomend!! Service was great, very nice waiter.

We had a late dinner (8pm) and were seated outside. What a wonderful atmosphere under the pergola with all of the grape vines! Service was excellent and the food was equally excellent. We started with bruchetta and it was the best we have eaten to date. There was just enough garlic to give it a little bit of a bite--perfection! I had a Caesar Salad and this is one of the few restaurants that still offers anchovies on the salad. My wife enjoyed their crab cakes and loved that they were heavy on chunks of crab with only enough binder to keep them together. I had the Tortiglioni Rossa, which according to our waiter, is their most popular entree. After eating it, I understand why! Dessert included a lemon custard, salted caramel gelato and a salted caramel latte. Great food and a great experience. Highly recommend!

Second time visiting and it was as good as the first. Both the food and service were amazing. They have a nice and large outdoor patio as well. It does get very busy, especially around dinner time. Highly recommend getting a reservation, otherwise you might be out of luck.

We had a great time at Ciao Bella. Our server Jordan did a phenomenal job giving recommendations and accommodating our large group of 10, which included 5 kids. The hostess went above and beyond to take care of the kids: giving them some papers and markers to keep them busy, chatting with them, helping them with the food, checking in often with them. It was because of her that we got to actually relax and enjoy our meal. We shared the Beets Caprese, which was delicious, as an appetizer and they gave us each a generous portion. Jordan also offered to split some of our entrées when we couldn’t decide on which dish to try, so that we could try half of each dish. The wild mushroom flatbread was amazing. The pasta had great texture. We also had tiramisu and crème brûlée for dessert - both were absolutely delicious. Ciao Bella truly delivered on quality food with an exceptional experience. Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Enjoyed a very nice business lunch here today! Service was prompt. The water glasses were always full. Extra butter was quickly procured. I had my favorite Heirloom Grain salad and this time tried it with Parmesan crusted shrimp. Very good! I enjoyed a cup of their soup of the day, sausage soup. Also very good but I wasn’t expecting it to be creamy. My associates and business partners also enjoyed their salads and soup. I will for sure be back!

Absolutely delicious! The service with Donnie and Santiago were top shelf. The ambiance and vibe is so inviting and well suited. Ordered the walleye sandwich, which wasn’t a dinner option and they accommodated us. The fries were crispy and delicious. Really enjoyed the mussels in a tomato broth and oh the sour dough bread could be a meal in itself! Finished off with the strawberry rhubarb cobbler and ice cream! Can’t say enough about the great dining experience! Wish I lived in Minnesota!

We were seated promptly. Staff was highly attentive and personable. Food was excellent and prepared quickly. Wine was overly expensive. Paid more for a middle of the road Chianti than a bottle should be but that is typical of the US.

Celebrated my birthday had LINGUINI DI MARE shrimp, scallops, mussels, ahi tuna, salmon, sea bass, saffron-tomato broth it was delicious. Guests had spaghetti and meatballs and walleye sandwich. Everyone’s meal and drinks were full of flavor and we so enjoyed it but what we appreciated more than anything was the fabulous Customer Service from the time you walked in with a big smile and wanting to help you the experience at the front desk, bar, wait service was fabulous. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

My wife and I are always looking for new restaurants to enjoy. We decided to visit for our wedding anniversary. We were very delighted with the fresh food and the service level is of the highest quality. The server was very accommodating to some of the food modifications that we made. The team is very service oriented and does a good job of explaining the specials. My favorite part of the menu is the different portion options as some of the food portions can be single serve or a little bit bigger to share. I was really surprised to learn that every item is fresh and made to order. The food quality seems higher than a typical place. They had a lot of food options to choose from and I ordered the chefs special. The Italian food is great and the atmosphere is beautiful. They do offer bread while you wait and the cocktails are very tasty while reasonably priced. The food prices are reasonable and I find myself visiting this restaurant more often to taste all the different dishes. If you are looking for a place to celebrate your special occasion or are just looking for a new place to try I would suggest making a reservation.

Small dish scallops is one of our favorite excellent grill and fresh scallops ever tasted 4.5 star I would give it 5 stars but for that price should be 6 instead only 4 scallops. Will try different dishes next time see if the chef can earn my 5 stars or not I would give it 5 stars but since there’s so many on menu that we haven’t try yet … awesome services super friendly. We’ll be back ;) Oh and the desert Limontetta Bella also very good.

I'm 71, and hands down this is one OF THE BEST restaurants I have ever been to. AND WE WERE A PARTY of 25 after a funeral. The venue is beautiful, every single person from the Greeters, Staff Manager, and Waiters to those who cleared the tables were TOP NOTCH in terms of sincere friendliness and doing all jobs extremely well. The options for food were amazing and difficult to choose. Specials were great - everyone, including the children attending enjoyed their food. Portions were plentiful, bread delicious. Desserts amazing. I can't say enough good about this place and how grateful we were for such a beautiful experience, start to finish. Please be sure to commend your staff and share this message with them. They were deeply appreciated.

My husband took me here to celebrate Valentine’s Day but today not Friday. This was our first time here. We were so impressed with the atmosphere, service, food and dessert. Great date night spot. We had a bottle of wine, beef tenderloin crustini, herb linguine with braised lamb, red pepper linguine with scallops, tiramisu and cappuccinos. We both left very impressed. We not only would recommend this restaurant but already made plans to come back and that says a lot since we live 55 minutes away.

Awesome experience. We had a party of 10, which they accommodated with a nice table in a more quiet room. The walleye Milanese with mashed potatoes and marinated tomatoes is a must! The calamari (gemolata and lemon garlic aioli) was lightly breaded and was a hit at the table. Also the fresh baked bread for the table. Crafted cocktails like my Spicy Margarita was also well done. Tiramisu was perfect. They make everything they can from scratch, so you will have the most fresh hand crafted meal you can buy. Customer Service was top notch even with how busy they were, taking plates, empty glasses, replacing silverware for the next course. Can’t wait to go back.

We hosted a family birthday dinner last Saturday for 15 people, nine adults and six children. Everything about the event was perfect! They were very easy to work with in the planning stages. The area that we were seated in worked well for our group. The service was professional and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our server EK, was outstanding. She took such great care of everyone in our group. The food as always was very good. There were a few people in our group that had never been there before. They were very impressed. We have been to dinner and lunch at Ciao Bella before, but have never hosted a larger gathering. We were so impressed with how the entire evening went that we will definitely be back...soon. People are still contacting me to tell me what a great evening it was.

Visited this restaurant for a business dinner and it was fantastic. Fried calamari was very unique but delicious. I loved my halibut special and dessert. Our server was on top of everything, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. The restaurant is nicely decorated and well maintained. My only minor issue is that the acoustics make this restaurant really loud so you will find yourself practically yelling at the person next to you. I would definitely revisit.

Thank you to Ciao Bella for being so accommodating and delicious for our family reunion! We enjoyed an amazing meal with 6 adults and 5 toddlers in a lovely little nook where the kids could play, eat and be without disrupting other patrons. The food was delicious. I loved my mushroom and truffle oil pizza with charred cauliflower! All the kids loved their personal cheese pizzas and fries. An amazing time was had by all. Highly recommend making a reservation for your next family gathering!

This place is amazing! Our server, Jerome, took care of my boyfriend and I. He was lovely and attentive but not overbearing, and really knew the menu. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night and the food was delicious!! I only give the food a 4/5 because we had the braised meatballs for a starter and i thought they were a teensy bit cold in the middle. The taste was spectacular though! We had the lasagna and the linguini bolognese and both were very tasty and perfectly balanced. For dessert - they had small and large options which was something I hadn’t seen before! We got a small tiramisu and crème brûlée, which were the perfect size after a large meal. Very likely to return! Thank you for a great evening!

We shared the appetizers, meatballs, Parm shrimp, and scallops. The shrimp was amazing, the meatballs delicious, but the scallops were so salty I could hardly eat them. My husband requested no salt on his salmon and he said it was perfect. My filet mignon was lightly flavored and cooked well. The accompanying potatoes were not to my liking. Overall it was still a great visit. I'll go again.

I have dined at Ciao Bella numerous times, too many to count. As a seafood snob, this is the best landlocked seafood in the nation. My go to dish is the pesto crusted sea bass. The flavors are so dynamic that it is elevated to another plain. The sea scallops are second to none. I love the crab cakes too. Between the flavors and the chucks of crab meat, this is a light meal in itself. The parmesan crusted shrimp is better than most, as is the ahi tuna plate. Any of the flatbreads makes for a scrumptious appetizer. Both the filet mignon and the New York strip make for an exceptional entree. And, let's not forget the pastas. They are all fantastic; but the spicy crab spaghetti is my favorite. If you have room for dessert, they are all very light. I always go with the creme brulee. The service is nothing short of exceptional. Although, Nicki is the most attentive, going above and beyond for special requests. It should be noted, Ciao Bella has been my "go-to" restaurant in the Twin Cities, since it opened.

We came to Minnesota for a family Christmas trip so this was the first time we have ever visited the area. I was looking for a special place to eat with my girl and this place did not disappoint. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely fantastic. Attentive, personable, and kind. We ordered calamari and scallops to start and herb pasta with lamb and the brick roasted chicken as our entrees and a bottle of wine. They truly set the standard of how delicious food can be. Every staff member from the host to the waitress to the chefs that made our wonderful meal.. All of you at ciao bella, i thank you for making my now fiancé and my night perfect. When we return to Minnesota, you will be the reason we enjoy our stay so much more.

Fantastic service! Very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Great restaurant with nice, quiet ambiance. I knocked one star for the broccoli, which was a bit burnt. Our other food was awesome.

Absolutely Outstanding Dinner Experience! Our dinner was nothing short of amazing. The pasta dishes were hands down the best we’ve ever had—and that’s saying a lot! Every bite was full of flavor, cooked to perfection. The service elevated the whole experience. Our server, was exceptional—attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our evening special. He went above and beyond for our family and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. This place is a must-visit. Come eat here—you’ll love it

Stopped in a week ago on a Tuesday night while my husband and I were both in town for work. Read the reviews & booked reservations on Open Table. Arrived at 6:15 an hour early and place was packed but they still seated us right away in a cozy booth by the fireplace. Terrific food and service. Appreciated the lighter portions so we could try more. Nice for a romantic dinner but also business group friendly and even works for families with pizza and small plate options. Would definitely return when in town again.

Great experience, food was prepared exceptionally well and quick. The dining room was full and like others have mentioned it was very loud. But I could hear conversation and it didn't really matter as I was stuffing my face with complimentary bread and the short rib! Definitely enjoyed myself abd will be back! The servicer was fabulous as well!

Two of us split the scallops and beef tenderloin appetizers. The beef was amazing. Highly recommend. Then we split the Heirloom salad and I added a salmon filet. Everything was done perfectly. Our waiter was fantastic, had great timing and worked to meet all of our requests. What else could you ask for.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The level of service is off the charts. From the reception, to the servers, bartenders, and managers, you can see that this is not only a well oiled machine, but they strive to be an elevated restaurant. The drinks are well made, the food is delicious and the dessert is so good.

Nice soft bread with flacky crust. The caesar salad was good. Love the shaved parmesan. A bit of sweet taste of first bite but still very good classic caesar. Not a big fan of the croutons, kind of like a soggy stale texture and taste. The braised lamb was not a favorite. Too much mint for our taste, and the cheese on top also felt conflicting to the dish. The lamb by itself is good (not a lot of the flavor but the meat is good) but the additives takes away from it. Great chew and great flavor on the fettuccine. Well seasoned chicken even by itself, still soft and moist. Great sauce, great dish. Very good meatball, soft and moist and well seasoned. The spaghetti noodles are a bit underwhelming, maybe a bit overcooked. Overall still a good dish. Great staff that tended to our needs, very friendly. Double the portion sizes for salad and pastas, we had split ours.

As a foodie from a large city with a huge Italian community, this place is the real-deal. From the appetizers to the drinks to the main dishes, everything was amazing. However, the service and attention to guest experience is what blew us away the most. We cannot wait to return and are so sad it took us this long to try!

Amazing experience! I had a wonderful time at this Italian restaurant. The mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious — perfectly baked with great flavors — and the tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, with a beautiful interior and a lovely terrace. Special thanks to the manager/hostess , Anna, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great food, great service, and a place I’ll definitely return to! Thanks! 🇮🇹🍕🍝🍮🤌

All the food we got was perfect. Complimentary bread was nice and crusty on the outside and soft inside. Servers were very kind and friendly. Great options for seating and dining. We sat outdoors today and it was gorgeous out. Good dessert. Great selection of wines too. A little issue occured with our food but they were able to handle it quickly and with ease and care.would recommend for a casual fine dinning experience.

Absolutely best Italian restaurant on this side of the metro. The service was top notch, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent suggestions, was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect, beautiful modern decor and low lights (has a romantic vibe to it). And lastly, the food was exceptional from the bread, to our appetizer, meal and dessert, all was amazing. The bread was delicious- warm, tasted freshly made with delicious churned butter. We had the calamari, probably some of the best calamari in MN, Lightly breaded and salted, and calamari was tender and tasted fresh. We had several dishes, all amazing. Overall, I would say the sea bass was the best, although all of our dishes were excellent. The seafood (salmon, scallops and sea bass all were tender, flavorful and delicious). The pasta (we had a few different ones) tasted freshly made and were delicious. Overall I can't say enough about our experience, thank you for an amazing dinner experience.

This is a very large restaurant so don't expect a Mom and Pop Italian joint. The menu was as much American as it was Italian but the Scallops I had to start were excellent, the Classic Lasagne I had afterwards was very good but not the best ever hence why I didn't rate this 5 Star. Service was good, ambience was noisy rather than intimate.

J
J. D.

The gal and I had dinner at Caio Bella last night. We had a good experience, not excellent, thus the 4 star rating. The Burata Caprese was outstanding! We had the Herbed Risotto and the Spicy Crab Spaghetti - both were ok. When you eat pasta in a nice restaurant you expect to be offered Parmesan and crush pepper - we had to ask our server who seemed distracted. Once again, the service was good not excellent.

The dining room was packed for a Monday evening 7p reservation, which is almost a necessity. Incredibly loud, even sat away in the back dining area was excessive. Conversations were strained and was frustratingly apparent. The s tarter of Roasted Cauliflower as well as the Ravioli filled with Basil and Ricotta as a shared main was filling without feeling stuffed. Enjoyed the experience just not 5-Stars.

Service was great. I had the pesto halibut which I felt the Wasabi mashed potatoes could have gotten more kick to. However, everything else was great. Bread was soft and warm, the meatballs were cooked perfectly and the parmesan crusted shrimp was everything and more

A favorite restaurant in the area. Their menu includes a creative and well crafted cocktail menu; a respectable wine list;delicious appetizers; and main dishes prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the patio area is a crowd favorite in the summer, and the service is second to none.

Pretty great restaurant my wife and I have been going to for a few years. I've only given it 4 stars though because I feel like the food has gotten a little worse especially over the last year while prices have gone up. Extremely loud when busy. I've found another Italian place in Eden Prairie that's "chef-driven" that tastes noticeably better than this place so we'll be going there more often instead.

Bustling Corporate power lunch spot with excellent service and frenetic atmosphere. Most everything seems to be made from scratch, and (in my experience), an extremely accommodating wait staff that was very happy to work with everyone at the table on any dietary restrictions.

My mom and I had a lovely dinner here, it was a short walk over from the Residence Inn. We came at 4:30pm and were surprised at how busy it was. We had the Tuscan Kale Salad, Spicy Crab Spaghetti, and Linguini di Mare. Everything was delicious, especially the crab spaghetti. All of the pasta comes in half or whole portions, it’s definitely worth it to get the whole size. For dessert, we split the Limonetta Bella, it was fabulous! Highly, highly recommend. Overall, the food was AMAZING but our server wasn’t very attentive. However, service improved throughout the meal and table service was fantastic.

We came here back in February. And overall we had a great experience. My husband loved his Steak dinner but my Butternut squash ravioli was underwhelming. Although I was 8 months pregnant so my tastebuds could have definetly been off. Our server was tentative and personal and I would love to go back to try some of their other dishes.

Ample parking, a welcoming ambiance, and excellent service—off to a great start before we even sat down. We ordered several dishes to share, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. The fettuccine with chicken was rich and flavorful, loaded with fresh herbs, almonds, and tender chicken, with the added bonus of sausage. The rainbow trout was perfectly cooked and topped with a bright, buttery sauce, greens, and roasted tomatoes. The crab cakes were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired with delicious dipping sauces. For dessert, the tiramisu was light, airy, and the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the entire dining experience felt smooth and relaxed. With consistently good food, great service, and plenty of parking, Ciao Bella is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Great place. Food and service were excellent! Chicken Parm won't disappoint. I love that they have very small options for desert so you can have a taste. It was a little loud, but it seems like that's the norm nowadays. Try it out. Worth the visit.

I had a nice dinner here. My server, Jordan, was great. Super friendly with good recommendations. I was dining solo and he made me feel very special. Even brought me a little candle on my dessert plate because it was my first time dining in the restaurant. Environment is large and loud especially in the bar. Side table was still 76 db so it’s not a romantic spot. Special cocktail, pear old fashioned, was very nice. A bit of spice with a sweet overtone. Red pepper linguine with scallops had a very nice flavor. Personally I’d do chicken instead of the scallops as chicken can handle the flavor better. Lemonetta dessert was good. Not too tart smooth with a nice crust.

“Not that kind of place” That’s what the wait staffer said to someone in my party. I want to give them a 4 so bad but comments like that make you feel unwelcome. In a classic tradition leading up to one of my family members birthday we go out every Friday up till their birthday. This was a place my family member and their spouse really wanted to try. With a solid 4.7 review, I could see why. We arrived towards the end of the dinner rush for our reservation the parking lot was still packed. 4.7, packed parking lot GOOD SIGN! Inside someone in my party witnessed a glass get broken at a table a bit away from us and a man in the party yelled out something pretty loud like ‘I CAN PAY FOR ALL OF IT!’ that party left shortly after this outburst. The interior design was very nice I watched tables be reset for next guest in what felt like less than a minute which was pretty impressive for the amount of people dinning in. The paintings were interested my favorite hangs above the fire place. Might make for a good photo opp during your trip. Food: The table got warm bread and a creamy fluffy butter if that’s what you like, ask for balsamic vinaigrette, as there’s only olive oil at the table. The bar staff gives very generous pours in cocktails and wine. Not drinking? the mocktails are good too. Make note of any wine you may like. I had a sweeter riesling at the recommendation of the wait staff called “Dr. L”, I have purchased it for home since. The table got the Crab Cakes twice, if you like Brussels Sprouts on the sweeter side like me get them. I would skip the Caesar salad I wasn’t a fan but ate in anyways, maybe try one of the other salads. The entrées at our table were the Classic Lasagna, Spicy Crab Spaghetti, fettuccine substitute the lamb for shrimp and chicken wild mushroom risotto. Service: Here’s where we kinda had an issue every thing was good. Till the person who ordered the risotto request it be sent back and they would take the spicy crab spaghetti. The risotto was a bit too mushy for them. They literally took one bite and knew they wouldn’t enjoy it. When they asked the wait staff about switching to something else the comment was made “we are NOT that kind of place”. The request was fulfilled the item was taken off the bill. As patrons we believe there was no need for that statement especially when the request was fulfilled. Looking around everyone that left for the most part was leaving with leftovers the portion sizes were substantial enough for you to have food to take home. We felt uncomfortable at that point, we all took a couple more bites of our food had it packed up to go and ask for the bill. The person in my party that ask for the bill was given just their portion of the bill as if the ‘assumption’ was that the bills to be split. it was just an assumption that was made no conversation was had about the bill. The wait staff brought the whole bill to the person who requested the bill at that time they paid the bill we tip the waiter. We left, we won’t go back. I mean after all it’s not that kind of place I guess. To have a staff member stand over you and say something so steep in implicit bias and treat you like you are inconveniencing them isn’t worth visiting again for our family . So we will go to the place that treats you like family, thats the KIND of place we like after all. Pros: Great portions for the cost Cons: Don’t go off the cuff and order anything that might be new to you. I would even maybe say skip the salad and risotto all together. Just to avoid eating something that you didn’t like. Since you can’t send it back. If you found my review helpful give it a like. Thank you :)

Giving it a 3 star due to the great service we received. In our group, we ordered a variety of pasta dishes, steak, chicken & fish. The portions were small for the price and the food was nothing spectacular. Pasta were a bit more on the bland side had to add salt to two of the pasta dishes, chicken and steak were over cooked and dry.

Pretty much everything in terms of food taste was just okay, with the gelato and the cobbler as the biggest highlights. When my partner and I entered the restaurant, it was packed, so we had a level of expectation that unfortunately wasn't met. However, I will notate that we had a great server who was very attentive to our needs. The ahi tuna springrolls weren't bad at all as one could taste every flavor included, including the tuna. It wasn't amazing but definitely an appetizer worth ordering. The avocado bruschetta had a lot of burrata and the smashed avocado wasn't really seasoned, so it tasted a bit plain and oily. I think some garlic powder for the avocado might help. The walleye had a lot of breading but not enough fish meat, and with the fish meat it had, it still tasted a bit fishy. The marinated potatoes at the bottom helped a lot, though. The spicy crab spaghetti was a bit disappointing because the dish came with clumped pasta, not even separated completely. Then the crab meat flavor didn't really mesh with the pasta, so each ingredient had its own taste, and each ingredient was not seasoned enough, with the crab tasted like its original flavor, the pasta tasting salty but nothing else, and the veggies tasting like themselves without extra seasoning on them. I wonder if this dish would do better in general with tomato sauce. As mentioned above, our server was very attentive to us. We sat at a corner half round table, and our server checked in very often to ensure we had our orders in, and in general showed lots of care by approaching us at the right times. Overall I probably wouldn't prioritize this place as a food option in the Bloomington area, although I am sure there are highlights in the menu that I have not gotten to, so I am open to returning.

Most everything was pretty good. Loved the scallops and beet salad. The ravioli was good, a little over done though and the crab spaghetti was way over done. Pretty disappointing. Noodles were just so overcooked and it just lacked flavor. The desserts were really good.

I’ve been disappointed in this restaurant. Most recently the crab spaghetti was very fishy tasting, not fresh tasting crab and lacking any other flavor. There’s also been a repeated issue with lots of fruit flies in this restaurant. I wasn’t really impressed, went here for the 1st time for a birthday event. The food wasn’t good. The male waiter was very helpful and went above and beyond while the other acted agitated and like she had an attitude. The fettuccine Alfredo wasn’t what I expected. Not your typical Afredo, noodles were a green color & the sauce wasn’t the traditional sauce. Strawberry lemonade was good. I think they could have better menu options and better cooks. Dessert wasn’t that good either.

J
James Lee

Our server was very nice, attentive, and did a great job throughout the meal. Unfortunately, we were seated right next to the bathroom, which really took away from the experience. There was constant foot traffic, noise, and doors opening, making it uncomfortable and not very relaxing. The service itself was great, but the seating choice negatively impacted what could have been a much better visit. I hope management is more mindful of seating in the future.
