Opiniones de Falafel Arax Los Angeles
I got the “Kebab Combo” with no rice, just salad. The meats were cooked perfectly and all were well seasoned. The hummus was a great addition to the whole meal and it was probably my favorite part. The customer service is great and with a smile. Not too much seating inside and parking can be hard to get. I’d definitely come back again.
Enjoyed some fantastic falafel and delicious shawarma at a lively workshop with wonderful people!
While shopping in the area I stopped in to Falafel Artax for a quick bite. The restaurant is clean; Serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine. I simply had a Falafel and enjoyed it.😋 Friendly, and honest management. I will definitely be back to explore the menu further.
Best Lebanese falafel in LA. They have the same flavor as the famous falafel Arax in Beirut. They also have delicious sandwiches and shawarma
A Hollywood staple. Falafel Arax serves up way more than falafel alone. They have both chicken and beef shawarma on a rotating spit. Personally, I opt for the beef shawarma on a pressed French roll. Everything is homemade, made in-house. The dining room doesn't have much space to sit, three booths which can each accommodate four guests. The parking is a little sketchy, but they do have a parking attendant on busy days. The neighborhood may appear unsafe, but I haven't had an issue leaving my car here while grabbing my lunch.
Very friendly lady behind the counter- they have vegan certified/ labels options and the best tahini sauce! When I couldn't decide what I wanted from the options listed, they were happy to customize my dish at a more than fair price- and added in some hot pita bread 🥙👌🏽
Something you have to try it puts an amazing meal on the map this is family-run and you could taste love in the food fresh the Falafel was really something you're going to go home and want again
Food was excellent! Seasoned and well portioned. Establishment was clean and staff was polite and friendly.
Review for Falafel Arax Falafel Arax is a wonderful spot for anyone craving authentic shawarma. This small, family-owned Armenian restaurant has flavors that took me on a nostalgic journey back to my hometown, Caracas, where I used to enjoy Armenian and Lebanese food with dear friends from those cultures. The seasoning of the chicken shawarma and kebab was incredible, truly reminiscent of the authentic taste I remember. The service was excellent—friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re really craving shawarma, I recommend ordering one and a half or even two because you’ll definitely want more!
Simple family style service. Just passing through town. The meal was fresh and delicious! Get the grape leaves! The vegetarian options Great The hummus was the best I’ve had in a long time as well as the falafel was very crispy and good. I will be back thank you.

Delicious food. $13 or $14 sandwiches add up if you’re having 2. Ok. Stick to just one
Best in town. My absolute favorite place to go after work and always makes my heart happy and puts me in a good mood. Food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is great, service is great. Modestly sized with 5 or so booths in a small strip mall that can sometimes be challenging to park in. There normally manages to be a spot when I need it though. Plenty of street parking all around so no biggie if no spots. Grilled chicken kebab wrap is so good. I always add in hummus and rice in mine. They are so accommodating and always make it just how I like.
Didn’t even have time to take a photo because it smelled so good we just dug in. I got a shawarma pita (my rate: 12/10) delicious flavors and great portions for the price. The combo plate was really filled to the brim with food and the hummus is one of the creamiest, smoothest and tastiest I’ve ever had. They gave me two pitas!!! Chicken steak and lulle were so amazing. Will definitely come back. The people working which I assume are the owners are also very kind- not to be taken for granted!
Food is amazing. Highly recommend. Shopping center could use a little facelift. Tends to be drunks, hanging out on the corner. A great to-go spot.
If you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean flavor, fresh ingredients, and friendly service — Falafel Arax is the place to go! My experience here was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. This restaurant captures the essence of true Middle Eastern cuisine and serves it with care, quality, and passion. The ambiance is simple, clean, and welcoming. It’s not a fancy spot, but that’s part of its charm — it’s all about the food here. The moment you walk in, you can smell the delicious aroma of grilled meats, warm pita bread, and freshly cooked falafel. The atmosphere is casual, friendly, and full of positive energy, perfect for a quick lunch, family meal, or takeout. Now, the food — simply incredible! The falafel at Falafel Arax is easily the best I’ve had in Los Angeles. Each piece is perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and made fresh to order. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and traditional recipes. The shawarma is tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, and the hummus is smooth, creamy, and full of authentic flavor. Every bite feels homemade and comforting. I also tried their pita wraps and combo plates, and they were generous in portion and beautifully presented. The balance of textures — from the crisp vegetables to the warm bread and flavorful sauces — makes every bite satisfying. Their garlic sauce and tahini are absolute standouts; they complement every dish perfectly. The staff at Falafel Arax deserve a special mention. They are friendly, fast, and always willing to help. Even during busy hours, they take time to greet customers and ensure everyone is served quickly and politely. You can feel their pride in what they do, and that makes a huge difference in the dining experience. Another highlight is the freshness of the food. Nothing here tastes processed or artificial — everything feels like it was made from scratch that same day. Whether you dine in or take out, the quality is consistent every time. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and portion size. You get plenty of food for the cost, and it’s filling, healthy, and flavorful. This makes it an amazing option for both individuals and families who want great food without overspending. The cleanliness and hygiene standards are also impressive. The tables, counters, and kitchen area are spotless, and the staff clearly take care to maintain a professional environment. What really makes Falafel Arax special is that it feels authentic — not commercialized or overdone. It’s the kind of place where food is cooked with love, recipes are passed down through generations, and customers are treated like family. In summary, Falafel Arax is a true gem in the city — serving some of the best Mediterranean food you’ll ever have. The quality, flavor, service, and value all deserve recognition. Whether you’re a fan of falafel, shawarma, or just delicious homemade food, you’ll find something to love here.
There are very few places that I can think of, where I've really enjoyed a dining experience and then 25-30 years later when I go back, it's at least as good if not better than what I remember. Felafel Arax is one of those places. Go in, order a falafel sandwich, sit down, and have your culinary moment. Everything on the menu is legit, but Dear Lord the felafel is extraordinary. Bon appetit.
You do not want to sleep on this falafel sandwich! It’s light, amazingly tasty, and delicious. Just order it sit down and enjoy it. Get a side of that garlic sauce. Make sure you eat the banana peppers. Stop asking questions move on with yourself thank me later.

It was alright. $8.5 for a shawarma. I think it was beef. Pretty simple. Meat, tomato, onion, tahini, lavash. Some pickled radish and peppers on the side.
The beef was kind of dry, but the flavor was good. I liked the hummus too.
Styrofoam heaven with just ok food. That pretty much summarizes this place. Was told they had the best falafel in all of LA (Los Angeles? Little Armenia?). If that's the case, then things must be really bad with Middle eastern food in LA. The falafel wasn't necessarily bad, but it had absolutely no herbs that are so essential to a good falafel. Falafel when cut open should be dark green for all the herbs, but just look at the photos... And styrofoam containers in 2023, seriously ? How are they still legal ? In fact, we ordered for eat-in, but still everything came in styrofoam. Sure this place is a hole in the wall, but at least get some paper or otherwise compostable containers, not disgusting styrofoam. On another note, the bathroom upstairs is pretty dilapidated and neither men's nor women's had any soap. Pretty gross. The restaurant should ensure there's at least soap available- it's a food establishment for crying out loud .

Dated atmosphere from the 19080s. Talked to owner about updating and he said it’s worked for years. How is it that your falafel are dry and why are we cooking rice with butter. As a vegan who is used to being able to usually eat at falafel spots this is a disappointment. Owner is just uninspired.
