Being from Milan, we found ourselves spending a few days in the province of Bergamo for New Year's Eve. We searched online for nearby restaurants and this one came up as the best. We walked in and were greeted by a lady (who also turned out to be the chef) and treated us as if we were her grandchildren. Once seated, we were served delicious platters and appetizers. From the three first courses to the second course, the food only got better; you can still feel the passion and love that the lady and the staff put into what they do. We're from Milan, but we will ABSOLUTELY be back.

We went for lunch yesterday and had a truly pleasant experience. When we arrived, we found an appetizer already prepared, carefully prepared after our phone call. The food was excellent, and the hostess was welcoming and made us feel at ease right away. The atmosphere was simple and familiar: we felt right at home. Just like at our grandmothers' house 😊

It's like going to grandma's house for a meal! The day we went, there was a set menu. We arrived and the appetizers were already waiting for us on our plates, along with wine, water, and bread. This was followed by two traditional seasonal first courses, a mixed three-course meat dish with polenta, all delicious, and a trio of desserts. Incredible value for money: €25 per person, all-inclusive, and the owner's warm hospitality, who welcomes you and treats you like family. We'll be back!

Recommended by friends, we went there yesterday for lunch. We were greeted by a lady with a very sweet voice, a big smile, and short gray hair. Her face told the story of a hard worker. The food was very good and authentic. We only managed to eat the appetizer and two first courses, then moved on to dessert because we were already full. We preferred to eat the second course (rabbit, roast, braised beef, polenta, and potatoes) at home in the evening. There's no à la carte menu. You sit down and eat whatever the lady cooked. This place brings back the good old days, when grandma cooked on Sundays and invited her children and grandchildren for lunch. The prices were excellent, excellent. The view was spectacular.

In the charming village of Chignolo d'Oneta (a hamlet of Oneta in the province of Bergamo), a traditional restaurant where you can delight in traditional Bergamo dishes. A highly original venue, spread over several levels, with a delightful terrace overlooking a quaint and beautiful little square, it is the emblem of the small village. Needless to say? Five stars in its entirety.

After several hairpin bends through pristine nature, you'll find yourself in one of the most beautiful villages in the Seriana Valley, Chignolo D'Oneta. The only trattoria with an adjoining shop offering "you can find everything here" is Signora Renata's. She and her husband offer a few, but absolutely authentic, traditional dishes, handcrafted by her for nearly half a century! The Casoncelli alla Bergamasca and the Rabbit are definitely worth trying. A journey back in time, and the tranquility of this village will make you forget all your stress. Signora Renata is incredibly friendly and reasonably priced.

The area is beautiful. The view of the valley and mountains is breathtaking. The small village is almost entirely renovated and a pleasure to visit. The restaurant serves good food, in the fabulous atmosphere of old-time Bergamo. Exceptionally unique! The salted meat, in my opinion, is the highlight: definitely worth a try. I thought it would be cheaper.

A small restaurant in the center of this tiny village; the only one, I think. A typical place that's aesthetically unpretentious but where the food is truly good! Game, braised meat, rabbit, stew, mushroom pasta dishes, desserts, and other traditional dishes cooked the old-fashioned way. Topping it all off, the hospitality of the owners makes you feel at home, and where the meal feels like a Sunday meal with family. I left feeling full and satisfied for a paltry sum. Generous portions, and I asked for seconds with every course!
