Great food and service!

The double patty (thin patties) were delicious. The custard malt also! 2024-Jun The employees were polite and friendly and the order was correct in all the particulars. The malt and the food were ready separately. All and all we had a great experience!

Place is fire if you use the app. Also a very well managed restaurant. It's not like a Burger King or Taco Bell. Employees always seem well trained and affluent.

I eat here all the time. The steak burger is making my mouth water even now as I write this review. And try the dirt and worms ice cream for your kids. My son gets it Everytime and I'm not gonna lie so do I. It's cookies and creme with gummies worms. It's the truth!

I’m a big fan of the Freddy’s franchise. I have enjoyed their amazing slow-churned custard at several locations in College Station and near New Braunfels. We were driving through on our way to DFW from San Antonio. Stopped for lunch and ordered it to go so we could keep traveling. The burgers were great, the chopped steak Pattie’s were crispy on the edges and juicy in the middle. And I am a fan of their shoestring fries. So salty and crispy. I also shared a chocolate custard waffle cone with my daughter. Custard in general is my favorite frozen treat, rating high above ice cream and frozen yogurt. I love the thick and creamy texture of custard and the Custard at Freddy’s has never disappointed me. I highly recommend!

I love freddys. The employees here are absolutely fantastic. They are all very knowledgeable, always happy and extremely kind. The food is also exceptional. Everything on the menu is very good but the custard is by far the best I've ever had. I have never had a single bad expirence at this freddys, and the first time I ever came here was about 12 years ago. All freddys are consistently good but this one stands out above ANY fast food place I've ever been to due to the outstanding customer service from every worker at this location.....no other place can come close!

This is my first time at Freddy's. I ordered the waffle ice cream cone. My daughter ordered the chilli dog and a drink. She said they have really good hotdogs. The only complaint is she requested no onions, but got a lot of them. Overall the experience was good, customer service was great and the reps seem to really care about the customers. That is the best feeling ever.

Good service. I think when I ordered I spoke too low and didn’t get the bacon in my burger. When I asked about why my burger had no bacon they immediately remedied it in the QUICKEST way possible, by just giving me the bacon. I appreciate this because they didn’t give me any pushback but of course I was being honest and they could see that. Either way, I appreciate the girl at the register and what seemed to be the manager (young man with the tattoos.) Great people!

I just moved here from Dallas, so this was my first time trying this place. I noticed the menu had a nice variety, but I got the #2 (bacon cheeseburger) to play it safe. The food was fresh and tasty. I liked the onion rings a lot, they were delicious and cooked perfectly. I was skeptical about the fry sauces at first, good with the burger. too! 10/10 for me, the food was great! Worth every penny.

We went for the Veterans Day special yesterday. The lady at the cash register didn’t want to give my spouse anything when he had us DD214 proof of military service. The other lady finally told her to honor that proof. I think people forget you don’t just have an ID card as proof that you served. Other than that service was fast and food was great.

This place has some of the best Alaskan cod and shoestring fries I've ever had! The only reason why they are not five-star worthy is because of their long wait times for drive-thru. I have waited in line for 15 minutes once just to get to the front. I think that is truly unacceptable, but their food is well worth it at times. We've had cod before when we vacationed in Alaska and it was just as tasty as when we had it then, only with slightly more grease added here.

One of my favorite burger chains. Hot, fresh, and the crispy patties give it a unqiue flavor.

The workers were super friendly and the food was good. My wife loved the mini french fries. I would give 5 *'s but the meal seemed a little pricey for the size of my chicken sandwich. Everything tasted good and including the fried pickles. We got some custard before leaving and it was very delicious as well.

Have eaten here many times over the years. The inside is always clean and tidy. Respectful staff that will fix any mistakes in your meal, even if it means remaking it. The food is priced about the same as most other fast food joints, but it tastes much better. I would way a house made burger from here any day, vs a frozen brother from McDonald's. Excellent fast food joint.

We came here on Saturday and my husband and I ordered their brownie concrete which I thought tasted like chocolate pudding and it was super yummy. We went through the drive through and it took a really long time. The drive through and the restaurant were open and it looked like only two people were working so I get why it was taking a while.

This review was originally posted on 11 March 2019. I must stress that this place is pretty clean and staff are always moving around the place sweeping the floor and wiping down table and seats. But I would not recommend sitting at the booths where there is a light hanging over the table. When I was there and was eating my food, there were a couple of fruit flies surrounding me and were close to touching me and my food on more than several occasions. I could be wrong but my guess is that they are attracted to the light or something. In terms of service, everyone in there is pretty relaxed and well mannered. I was expecting a lot out of the burger, but was sadly disappointed. It tasted pretty average to me, nothing special about it at all. This is my personal opinion, other people may like the burgers. The fries were pretty good. Never had fries that thin before, they tasted pretty good. The chocolate brownie delight sundae was by far the best of the meal. The chocolate ice cream was very chocolaty and mixed very well with the hot chocolate sauce, whipped cream and brownie at the bottom. If I were to come back, it would definitely be for the dessert more than anything.

Really good custard here. Their steak burgers are super thin and crispy. A good change of pace. A lot of good options, such as the California burger and the party melt. Their hot dogs are really good. The buns are toasted. Solid fries. The Pflugerville locations is never busy.

Dirty. Food came out hot and tasted great. The staff were cheerful, friendly, and professional. Very attentive. The floors were sticky and dirty and some of the tables were unclean and the trash receptacles were starting to overflow. Not sure if the floor solution is too soapy or if the place is using cold water to mop. Looks are everything in food services

we always come and never have a problem but tonight it seemed they made the food and rushed. all 4 burgers we received was incorrect buns were dried out just not eatable and the fries were all only half full. sucks to spend all the money on food like this..

I ordered a Chocolate Brownie Delight Concrete and I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour for the staff to make it and after 45 minutes, I had to....never mind. The staff made my order and deeply apologized for the wait. The staff was kind and courteous there needs to be more people for the night time dinner rush

Clean restaurant. Nice cashier. Ordered burgers for the family. Took about 25min for the food. Waiting, waiting, waiting... Their burgers were decent, but kind of flat as if small amount of meat is used, then smashed on the grill to appear larger. Fries, horrible. Sorry. But it's like a hot version of the potato strings uses for a green bean casserole! Not "meaty" inside. Big fail. But we will probably visit again to try the frozen desserts, as we didn't on this visit. Nice atmosphere.

Stick to the burgers and ice cream and you'll be good! Dining in was decent, but there was a bug hiding under the lip of our sauce. Couldn't tell what kind. 3 kids meals were alot $25 all together.

Incredibly sloppy packaging, napkins and burgers crumbled and crammed into bag. Tots half full not even at the bottom of the bag. The bag itself also crumbled. Food still eats the same. I recommend the food just not this location if that's the presentation. Unfortunately that's enough to turn me away.

We had a craving for a waffle cone because we looked for Klondike's last Choco tacos today and didn't find any. We found Freddy's and saw they had frozen custard. I ordered a single scoop cone with bananas topping and he ordered a single scoop of chocolate with Oreos topping. Toppings are 99 cents each. I expected my bananas to be either in the concrete mixed or on top. They put them on the bottom UNDER the custard in the bottom of the cone. It's called a topping and it was under the custard instead of on top. Furthermore, husband's Oreo topping was one single Oreo crushed on top. We expected a lot more than a single Oreo for 99 cents. The waffle cone tasted fine, at least, and they used fresh banana slices. I still wish they put the toppings on top and plentiful or don't offer toppings at all.

Burnt my cheese curds :( and they were slow to get to the counter to take our order. Other food came out good. Other locations are better

First time ever to the establishment and I will have to say it was an ok meal. Fries were a bit cold after initially receiving the order so didn't consume those. Burger was an ok meal considering it was a tad bit overpriced just for a burger. Strawberry cheesecake Sunday was a ok. Will give this place another try to see if it changes my mind/rating

Honestly I love Freddy’s but my experiences at this one have never been the best. Just today I made an online order to be picked up at 12:15 as to line up with a lunch break. Walked in at 12:15 and the order wasn’t ready. I sat until 12:40 and overheard what I assume are two managers talking about how “the order must have walked off with someone else” but they never once addressed me directly about it or tried to make any amends or even apologize in the slightest for the delay. They need more staff, better communication, and better communication.

The food was good. However, the hygiene of two male workers will keep me from ever going back. As we were eating, one guy kept wiping his hair and making ice cream treats without washing his hands. I feel so bad for those customers. The other guy took a paper towel, wiped the sweat from his forehead than proceeded to use the same sweaty nasty towel to clean the tops of their bulked caned goods. He than switched places with the other guy and was making ice cream treats for the drive through. It was utterly disgusting watching these two work and never wash their hands. Did we not learn anything from the pandemic??? Why do people not wash their hands and practice good hygiene while at work, let alone at work when touching other people’s food. Management needs to recognize this behavior and correct it laying out Freddy’s expectations for food safety and personal hygiene.

I have been to a few Freddy’s around Austin and Houston. Sadly, my experience here was not as good as at those other locations. The woman at the drive thru seemed overwhelmed and it took a while to get our order in and correct (there were only a few cars in front and none behind). She also kept trying to sell more items to me. More than just a custard and rewards card. When I finally got to the window, it took quite a bit before anyone showed up. When she did, she was very polite, but flustered and asked about one part of my order again. I replied and she went away for a bit then finally came back with the food and drinks. When we got to a place to eat, we found every single order was wrong. The burger was wrong, we were missing two fries and chicken. And the food quality was not great. The burger tasted okay but it was very cold. The chicken tasted not off, but like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or two. And the fries were soggy. I normally don’t want to write a review based on one bad experience, especially when we all know that workers in so many jobs are having a hard time, and the supply chain is in the gutter, but based on my experience, I will not go back to this location any time soon. If I have a craving for a steakburger, I would definitely go to the one in Round Rock.

First time at any Freddy's, brought the family in for a quick dinner. The good: Was greeted by a friendly staff, the guy working the register did a good job to make sure our order was correct. The mixed: I ordered the patty melt. The patties here are super thin and cooked to a crisp. On the patty melt, this wasn't too bad, but on their burgers it didn't really work. The fries seemed fresh but had just a touch of chewy to them that you don't expect from fries, especially ones this thin. We also got an order of chili cheese fries. These were inedible. The cheese tasted like gas station nacho cheese and the chili tasted like it was watered down with dish water. Those went unfinished. The iced tea tasted rancid, like it had been sitting out all day. Sad to say, I had high expectations for this place and felt very left down. No plans on making any more visits.

While the food is good, anytime i go through the drive thru after 7pm, it NEVER fails that something is wrong with the order. It hasn't been a 1 out of 3 times sort of thing, since i go pretty regularly for the sundaes, but nearly every time i go in the evening. It wasn't so bad before, but it's now consistently that i will have a wrong order going through the drive thru when it's dark out. There needs to be consistent quality control during ALL operating hours, not just certain times of the day.

The food is good... when they get it right. If you order through the drive through or even worse through any delivery service it is almost for sure they will mess up your order in some way(and maybe cold half the time). No fry sauce, wrong burger condiments, straight up wrong drink/shake, and the packaging is all over the place. Oh and anytime past dark you're just asking for poor quality. Although when they do get it right god is it good, maybe even worth the messups

Do not order delivery! I've given them the benefit of the doubt and tried a couple of times but each time they forget the sauce or give you random ones, food is a mess, and this time my shake wasn't even a full shake.

I really love their food! This time the food took forever! The line took all day!! Felt like I was there for like 15 minutes! When I got my food, the fries were somewhat hard and a little burnt! My burger was good but it looked flat if you know I mean! Cheese looked dry or whatever! I know they're under staffed so I know why it took forever but i'm still mad it took forever! I'd still come back though!

Don't get me wrong the burgers and hot dogs are delicious. But there meals are way over priced. I ordered a #1 combo a hot dog combo a kids tender combo and a extra hot dog and it came out $30 and some change. I told my wife we can get 3 full meals at Roadhouse for the same price with two side and rolls way better of a meal. So unfortunately I left the line and went to Roadhouse 3 full meals for $31.

Its 7:36 and this location seems to be closed already, all doors are close and workers were cleaning the facility.... What kind of service is this???? Should at least update hrs online or at the front door!!!!

The last 4 or 5 times we’ve ordered from this location the food was not the normal Freddy’s we know & love. The fries tasted old & burnt and the burgers were okay, but not fresh tasting. We thought it was because we were ordering too close to closing time so we tried ordering right after opening this last time & got the same result. We’ve also tried to order a bottle of the fry sauce the last 2 times we ordered & didn’t get it either time. Not sure if the other locations food quality has declined also or if it’s just this location but we used to love the food. I’ve already submitted my info through the website about this location & our experiences, but I doubt it will change anything as these issues & then some have been going on for at least a year now. Such a shame for a place that has the potential to be great like the other Austin area locations.

Worst service in drive thru. Orders have been wrong numerous times. Drive around to tell them the concrete was missing ingredients and the young man straight up told me I was wrong without even taking the drink from me to check. They are rude, they do not listen, and it's not here. Totally done with place which is too bad because they're concretes are pretty good when they're made correctly. Tried calling a few times to speak with someone but no one ever answered.

The burgers were so salty to the point they were disgusting.

On March 4, 2023, my family and I were traveling for a baseball tournament and often look for Freddy's during our travels. We are frequent customers of Freddy's all over the state. While traveling we decided to stave off our hunger for 45 minutes so we could get to one of our favorite restaurants. We were even introducing a friend to Freddy's for the first time. We ordered three #1 Freddy's Original Doubles (one with meat and cheese only, one Freddy's single with meat and pickles only), one hotdog, and a five-piece chicken tender combo. Our meat and cheese only burger came with pickles and our meat and pickle burger came with cheese. We know this happens and were not upset. We kindly went up to the cashier and asked for the order to be corrected. The cashier began to assist us, but the cooks told her that we were given a plain burger. The cashier, cooks, and other attendant began arguing with us about the order. I walked back to the counter with each of our meals and showed them that we had cheese on a burger that was supposed to have no cheese and pickles on a burger that was supposed to have no pickles. The staff continued to argue with me and finally worked on correcting the order. Once the burger that was supposed to have no pickles was corrected, the staff forgot our French fries. We again kindly asked for French fries and we were told that the burger had no fries. We showed them the receipt and informed them that we burger we returned had fries with it. Begrudgingly they gave us the fries. We are enormous Freddy's fans but would never visit this location again. The customer service at this location was by far the worst customer service we have ever received at any restaurant.

I went to have lunch after a tiring day at work and found a woman at the cashier who had a bad attitude and was not nice at all and claimed to be a super pfizer working there. She gave me the wrong order and after I talked to her she continued to not be nice to me and my break time was up and I couldn't eat anything. I hope the restaurant management pays attention to their employees.

So I had never tried Freddy’s after going inside I had to use the bathroom which they were really dirty and paper toilet all over the floor. Then I went to order something and what can I say worst service I said hi and never got a hi or thank you for coming to Freddy’s base upon service I received was horrible it’s like they didn’t want to work there so I said thank you for order and never got a your welcome back in return. Really bad service

The food is great. The compliments stop there. My praise is glowing for any other location. If you're ordering from this location, pay the extra to order on DoorDash instead of the app, or don't order at all, because you'll need DoorDash's built in insurance to get your order refunded or redelivered until they actually deliver it to you, which will take a while. The place used to be great but in the last couple months we're two for two on orders not arriving and just being marked delivered while nowhere in sight. Don't bother calling to resolve it as they won't answer the phone. As much as I enjoy Freddy's this location is not the one. Eat in, the place is alright at best. They can cook but that's all they do here on Pecan St.

Bad service and food. Went to the drive thru at lunch. Only 2 cars ahead of me. Sat in the drive thru close to 20 min before I got to the window. Once at the window, another 5 plus minutes to get my did. My bad for not checking it. Burger was dry and missing toppings and the cheese curds were barely warm because they were not cook thoroughly. I scraped the soggy curds out and there was a literal puddle of grease at the bottom. I am surprised because Freddys is usually ok, but this one, don’t waste your time or money. Way over priced for horrible service and food.

If I could leave a -5 star, I would. Hands down, worst service I have ever received in my entire life. I first want to start out by saying that I am incredibly understandable when it comes to issues in food service as I am a manager and a server, and have been for 15+ years. I hate leaving bad reviews and I usually done. But I have to share this with you. I had a shockingly horrible experience here. The employees shouted angrily towards me, mixed up my order numerous times, refused to make the food I ordered, and once arrived with order food was cold as can be. I came here thinking the location closed at 11 because that’s what Google and Yelp reflect. When I arrived there were 4 people ahead of me. When it was my turn, I was told that they can’t make fried items because they already closed appliances down. They actually close at 9. When I realized this I apologize, told them it was my first time here, and thanked the cashier for taking my order late in the evening, and even apologized for keeping them late. The cashier allowed me to order items that were unavailable, and I was reprimanded for it by a harsh “we can’t make fried items, I already told you” to me. Right after that, the cook complains loudly “why are we getting orders”. The manager (Amanda) was nearby, and i asked for help to refund the unavailable items. I thought she would be helpful, and offer up an apology because the employees were being really unkind, and blatantly rude. I don’t mind that you guys can’t make my food, just be nice about it. Anyway, after all was said and done, my order was ready. I noticed we were missing a burger and I told someone. Obnoxiously, the same person that shouted at me earlier yelled heard me telling the person that there’s an item missing, the young women shouted hostile “ I already told her 3 times that we can’t make fried things”. I have no idea why the person was so angry plus I didn’t order any fried item, I was missing a burger. When I arrived home my food was cold. Not sure how that happened because I live 1 minute away from the location. I can’t get anyone from the location to answer the phone to complain to the GM, I’m fact Amanda said there isn’t a GM at this location, go figure. I did reach out to another GM at a different location who assured me he would get me into contact, and I’ve heard nothing at all. So that’s my experience here.

Ordered two sundaes, and they were a waste of money. One sundae had a tiny piece of brownie and not hot fudge; more like cool, hard fudge. The second sundae, peanut butter, banana, and Reese's, had only two tiny slices of banana and very few pieces of Reese's Cups for $10.59. Definitely not worth it. additionally customer service was not it there was very little people and it was dine in so theres no excuse.

I ordered a double cali combo from Ubereats and instead got this surprise, a triple steak with no cheese and a secret message inside my packaging. I was disappointed to say the least because I've never had bad service from a Freddy's. This is a first.

The burger patties was flat as paper and not a juicy burger. When you think of steakburger you think thick and juicy, this was not so. First time eating here, and unfortunately it will be my last. Go to Wendy’s or somewhere else instead. My friend also ordered a kid’s meal which was basically the same size as a regular meal and she had way more fries than me. Strange…

Tried to order a key lime pie concrete tonight, and the attendee on the window didn't know what that was. They also didnt know what a limited time flavor was, and lastly charged me for a malt vanilla concrete and just said, "Here you go." Go to any other location that'll be better staffed

I have an hour lunch and not only did I spend over my hour for lunch in line when I finally got my food fries were cold I paid for bacon on my burger (No bacon) and they forgot my drink (lemonade) I will be coming back after work to get my corrected food order since when I opened my box it was a patty melt instead of the jalepeno burger I sat in line to long and being a first time customer I’m actually not satisfied my order number was 325 on 10/19/2021 at 1:09 drive thru

Horrible customer service and they were not even busy. Did not hear my order called out and some lovely customer had to tell me my order was done. When I walk up and ask if this was order 202 the manager said "I Guess". Do not come here, unless you like horrible service.

I ordered a kid's meal for my daughter & a sandwich for myself. I have never been asked to open my phone to make sure it's me. I told him my order. Sad part is I'm a rewards member. I will never go back because of skin. Even though I'm biracial. He apologized & I didn't bring it to his attention. He knew that he messed up. Sad because everyone else here was so nice.

Do your self a flavor and just go through the drive thru or another location! The inside is So HOT and smells of a weird metallic sewer smell! The soda machines weren’t working and the tea was basically water with a hint of tea. Same with the lemonade. Idk how. Burger was great but the fries were over salty. Didn’t even stay for ice cream due to the heat, and seeing how everything else didn’t seem to work. I wasn’t confident that we wouldn’t get sick from dairy. This location is a definite fail! Maybe we will try another location sometime. But honestly no time soon. This location needs a serious upgrades. And a more attentive owner.

Ordered 2 triple steak triple cheese burgers and got 2 doubles. Tried to call and fix it notify them, but they did not answer the phone. Even after 10 calls. I had an event to attend, so that is why I did not choose to go back at once and ask for the correct order

My burger was awesome but I my fries were AWFUL. They we not seasoned in the Famous Freddie’s Burger and Fry seasoning and taste like old burnt cooking oil….the 2nd batch was just as bad. They were HORRIBLE! My dinner was $19.72 for 1 and I only ate the $6.79 burger. What a waste.

We went to this location cause I love my Freddy’s burger but very disappointed when I try to use the restroom. I tell you the restroom was disgusting, it looks like they haven’t cleaned it in weeks.My wife went into the women’s restroom and it had no toilet paper and no soap so I wonder how employees use the restroom and how they wash their hands with no soap. That’s very gross because they’re the ones cooking our burgers. If the restroom was dirty with no toilet paper and no soap I can’t imagine how the kitchen must look. Having clean restrooms will tell you a lot about the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. Very disappointing.

Terrible service, I placed an order inside and after 15 mins of seeing people who ordered after me asked where my order was. Staff scrambled looking around for an order they hadn't made or gave to someone else. When I asked to refund my order both managers looked confused as if the didn't know what refund meant. This location is trash.

I don't usually post reviews about fast food and I want to make that very clear. This experience was so bad that I had no choice. We ordered 2 meals from this Freddy's and had doordash pick it up. To start, the order didn't provide any options for sauce including their own fry sauce, we couldn't even special request it. The order itself, I ordered a double double, the fries were cold as ice (and I know transport doesnt help that but still...not even warm) the burger itself didn't even have the signature crispy edges instead it was thick and honestly reminded me of a McDonald's burger with way little ketchup (added on the extras) or mustard. I wanted Freddy's food experience not McDonald's. The other item order was the Spicy Chicken Sandwich meal. As before the fries were cold as ice. The sandwich had very little sauce it was tough dry and bland. I ordered cheese on it and that was never even there anyway. I am Chicken Sandwich kinda person and that entire sandwich was upsetting in every way. I love Freddy's but that wasn't the experience I expected. Unless they managed to get this review and remedy this someway I will not be revisiting and if you read my reviews (and I know people do) I encourage all of you all to go anywhere else it's too pricey for the experience I got. If they respond I will follow up.

I really want to boast my good experiences when it comes to food. But come on Freddy's, you can do better. I have yet to have a good experience with your stores. Order is always wrong, takes forever, and is either cold or tastes bad, or both. I just spent a half hour napping IN the drive thru waiting for a simple double burger, curds, and a soda. Once the drive through employee who was barely audible woke me up, I was handed someone else's plain boring burgers and cold French fries. I was tired of sitting there so long and I just left. Do y'all even serve cheese curds? I have NEVER received them when I've ordered them. Over years of trying. This chain has a lot of potential yet continues to disappoint. Consider who you hire and how much you're willing to pay them. That is the starting point of customer dissatisfaction. I think I have to waive the white flag at this point. I've given it a fair chance to impress but come on Freddy's, do better.

Don't do it folks. The soap dispensers in both the men's and women's restrooms were all taped up and broken. The employee knew how to pull open the dispenser to get soap out of it (not a new problem she said). This place is a dump. Avoid at all costs.

Don't go here late at night, especially on weekends. The kids working really do not care. Simple things, like no onions, are a bit too complicated. Or maybe it's just too much to ask to have them give you the right drink with your meal. Asking for a mixed concrete is just to much work, I guess everything is supposed to be at the bottom. Everyone one like cold and soggy fries... Seriously though I think the quality is plummeting. Short cuts are being made. Make sure you check your food before you leave. Sometimes these struggling places rely on you not wanting to drive back. I would definitely stay cautious of the teal/blueish green relish.
