Food is amazing! Finally a nearby Sonic's that I grab my late night grub. Be sure to grab the carhop classic! My favorite is the slinger burger with tots. The milk shake I got wasn't that great. They make them extra thickkkk.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Many of the stalls need to be repaired or marked off so customers don't wait for 20 or longer minutes to order

We had a wonderful server. His name was Andrew. The young man was so polite and had a great sense of humor. Great job hiring a nice teen.

Real Fruit drinks are a delicious alternative for a sugary treat without feeling guilty about the calories. The Lemon is delicious but very strong in favor. I like the Strawberry with real Strawberry inside. Yum!

Sonic was good as usual. Just wanted to give a warning, DO NOT come to this address. You will be disappointed at what you find. It’s just a Best Market. The Sonic is actually at NY 25 and Alexander Avenue, if you’re going east then you’ve probably found it on your route, if you’re going west then just go a bit farther on the NY 25, past where it tells you to stop.

Fast service and really kind employees!! I love coming here . But I would not do delivery!! It gets cold because it tends to sit . Just go in and tip your roller skater!!! ❤️

This place has been my go to ever since COVID-19 hit and it hasn't disappointed! Everything I've gotten so far has been fresh and the drinks have been delicious. Definitely going to go to more Sonics after this COVID thing is over! And thank you to all the employees still doing their job during the pandemic! You guys are the best.

I only order mostly just drinks from this place. Their slushees are on point, their milkshakes are good but just wish they provided spoons as well as better straws instead of the ones they give that gives out right away.

This place is great love all of their drink and food options. Usually get a burger or chicken wings and a frozen lemonade which is the best. Also they rollerskate to you with food so what's not to like about the place, honestly. Also our waitress was pretty bad too NGL.

Sonic is probably the most amazing place I’ve discovered this late into my life. I’m 30 years old and I feel like my entire life has been a lie because it took me this long to discover that they have the best ice in your tire world. I’m not joking about that either, I’ve tried Chick-fil-A, subway, 7-Eleven, Shake shack, and everything in between. Nothing comes close to how crunchy sonic slices and if there any typos in this review it’s because I’m doing it voice to text so please excuse my terrible verbiage.

Delicious. the food was excellent and I loved my grape slush. It tastes like the grape slush puppies from back in the day. We will be back. My husband had the chili cheese dog. And I got the cheese burger. And we shared the mozzarella sticks. Yum.

Cheese is really good on roller skates. She served me. No literally we had a Roller skate dance battle and Cheese was able to do the splits (which I can't do) and I got served. Better luck next time I guess.

The app is perfect and service prompt. Those vanilla shakes are delicious and the slushes are tasty too. But the All day breakfast Burrito 🌯 is tops and that alone is worth the visit and a decent price for a filling.

Saturday night during the summer, and wait was very minimal. Very friendly, efficient employees. Food was really good for a fast food place. We had the New York hot dogs with tator tots, not bad at all. Also had onion rings, really surprising good. Then the shakes, just delicious!

Such a fun place with the servers on roller skates 😃. My cheeseburger 🍔 was larger than average and very tasty. We didn't enjoy the jalapeno poppers. Not terrible, just not for us. We ended our meal with delicious Reese's Sonic blast. Had a small and I think a mini would've sufficed.

I moved and haven't been to Sonic in years but was in the area and decided to try it again. I placed the order online and was told to pick a stall and let them know where I was which was super easy. The guy who brought out our food was great, very nice and made sure we had everything. We brought it with us on a 10min drive and when we arrived, the food was still very hot. Everything tasted great and we were really happy with our decision to come here and we will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

We love to go to Sonic every month or so. Love the old time feel, the roller skating wait staff, and great drinks. The food is usually pretty good too. This time, the food was awesome. The new pickle fries and onion rings weren't just good for fast food, they were as good as we could expect anywhere.

Very pleasant staff and best fast food around. For a long time I've been extremely disappointed in fast food. While the price points may be similar, Sonic just serves way better food. I can taste McDonalds and Burger King in the cheeseburger but it doesn't also feel like I ate cardboard. My popcorn chicken was flavorful though perhaps slightly dry but not complaining. Sauces could be better though I don't use a lot of any place's sauces. My tots weren't too great (I think I turned up right before the oil had to be changed). Overall 5/5. Sonic will be my go-to from now on. Looking forward to trying the Cherry Limeade and Blasts when its hot this summer.

I’ve been going to this location for a few years now ever since it’s opening. I’ve never had any terrible experiences here, always great attitudes from staff. The food/drinks are pretty good, a few mix ups but they’re just human so I’m not taking any stars away for it. Even high volume, they seem to get us our items in a timely manner. Not saying there’s no wait, but you have to be reasonable & understand that things don’t magically appear. . Ground are kept clean.

We ordered the Chilli Cheese Tots which were really good its a must try. The onion rings were good and freshly made. The spicy Chicken Slinger was really good it was better than the cheese burger I ordered. I found the cheese burger very average. The Fritos chilli cheese Jr wrap was good too, thats the first time I tasted something like this. It was only 99 cents so it was very good value for money. Overall the quality of the food was good and it was my first time visiting sonic. The servers use rollerblades to deliver the order, It it really cool. I liked the overall experience.

Food was what you'd expect from a fast food burger joint. Maybe slightly above a McDonald's or Burger King. Service from the old fashioned roller girls was cool. Best part for me was the cinnamon buns.

The featured item was a BLT which I was very much looking forward to but didn't exactly "knock my socks off". Their version of jalapeno poppers (ched red bites) were good but either I got the wrong sauce or they should give a different one with them. Marinara doesn't work with jalapeno poppers. But, the service was great and very friendly. Especially considering how busy it was. I've noticed that they often don't have the "limited time" stuff they advertise on TV on the menu board and that there is stuff on there that is not on their website. So, make sure you look closely and ask if you think there is something they should have but you don't see.

Very clean and in very good condition. Staff was super nice and helpful. Food is what it is, it's Sonic. Half your chili cheese hot dog is stuck to the container it came in, but at least you can dig it up with your fries.

I ordered just a corn dog. It came very hot and was very fresh and tasty. I asked for honey mustard and they gave me two of them. They put enough napkins. I liked the food. However the corn dog was tiny. I usually eat State Fair corn dogs from Walmart and this wasn't even half the size of one them. #StateFair #CornDogs #Activities

Sonic has great desserts and slushies, as well as decent fast food. The "crispy" chicken tenders aren't very crispy, but other than that, I can't complain. Also, the whole drive-in thing with car hops is pretty cool. Overall, it's better than a McDonald's or similar.

The lines are still very long, but I feel as though it's worth the wait. I don't really get Sonics food much, but I really do enjoy their mozzarella sticks and their tater tots, they go really well with their milkshakes and slushies. Every time I go I have to get one of their frozen drinks, it's a must for sonic. I really love the green apple slushy as of late, but I've had several of their milkshakes and they always taste good. Never had any problems with food and or employees here either, in fact the first time me and my buddies went here they let us order even though they were closing, really good customer service. EDIT: like 4 more visits later, and it's still really good! they have yet to mess up my order or anything. I highly recommend the Peanutbutter oreo mastershake, it's really good.

Went there around 10pm, pulled into a spot, pressed button and was advised server will be with you shortly. Waited about 5 minutes then decided to go inside to order instead. They ran out of Boneless Wings so had to settle for the honey BBQ and Asian Chili Jumbo Popcorn chicken and also a double cheese burger combo. Added In a couple of pretzel twists. Overall the food was very good. Family enjoyed it.

If you're looking for a Sonic, the food is great. Service is good, though a bit slow at times, which is likely due to the customers, not employees. Parking lot and serviced outside eating area has become a major hangout which needs to be controlled. Otherwise, nice looking establishment. The Chicago dogs and tater tots are great, especially with chili and cheese. Also recommend the burgers and sweet tea!

The food and service are great, but there’s an issue with the atmosphere, particularly the stalls. I’ve often found that when I go to a stall, it’s either broken (black screen) or the card reader isn’t working. This forces me to find another stall, but on busy days, they’re all full. As a result, I end up having to use the drive-thru or go inside, which isn’t what I prefer. I love seeing my favorite Sonic employees skate out my food to me! I want to give a special shoutout to a young girl who is always skating out my order—she’s super friendly and always goes out of her way to help. While I know these issues aren’t the staff’s fault, I hope they can be addressed to make the experience even better.

It was expensive. If you get the deals sent to you on your phone then you can afford it amd they are great deals. Also they have icecream made with real milk and cream for 1.29 its so big and delicious its a meal all by itself

The new Sonic in Nesconset or Lake Grove if you will, is fine. I like that they have a area that you can sit in and they have a small balcony / patio that overlooks the front for outdoor seating. It's a little expensive compared to a McDonald's just slightly. But it was nice I went with my two boys and I thought the experience was worth going back again if I decided to. In addition to that it's right across the street from the Smith Haven Mall. Sometimes it's nice after the calories from a meal at Sonic it's worth going across the street grabbing a cup of coffee at Starbucks inside the mall and walking around to burn off some of those calories. Well at all I would say go for it, give Sonic and try

The food is really not good and over priced. I spent $3 on my daughters burger and she took it out of the bag and she said "This is a very small burger" I had to feed her again when we got home bc it just did not fill her. Also the entrance to this place needs to be fixed. I will come back with my kids for the ice cream only. The ice cream was good and they give you a decent amount for the price. Def much better then the food.

Sonic isn't something that is available close to where I live so I was excited to find this one up on the East coast. I will say that it is completely different from down south but that's to be expected. The price is okay. The variety is great. However every time I've gone there and ordered the boneless chicken wings with blue cheese I usually get ranch no matter how many times I specify blue cheese. I had called three separate times to get blue cheese and it never came. My husband ended up going up to the door to ask the waitress who then got very angry with him for asking about it. Other than that its pretty good

Easy to see right off of Middle Country Road servicing saint James and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Small parking lot with stalls for service on roller skates. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. Always a long line but it moves quickly. Give it a try and you decide.

Took forever to get anyone to even acknowledge we were there waiting to order in the freezing cold . Forgot items from our order then took forever again to bring them back out to us again waiting in the freezing cold. Food was not as good as the shirley location. Poor service. It was early too around 6 when we ordered last Saturday

I’ve been here before and have never had a problem, but tonight a friend and i went to grab a quick snack and drinks. We decided to get the jalapeño cheddar peppers and some fried. I threw all of it up an hour and a half later. I texted my friend to make sure she was okay, and she said she had diarrhea shortly after she got home. We’ve both been here before and had no problems, but tonight something was very clearly wrong.

Great Looking Sonic's, Friendly Atmosphere - Lacking, Cleanliness - Non Existing, Server - Polite & Friendly, Indoor Dining was nice but every table needed a wipe down and garbage cans needed emptying, place has a lot of potential.

Repeatedly the employees at the drive thru window have been rude and snappy. They slam the window closed while you are mid-sentence and are unnecessarily hostile when a miscommunication occurs.

I cant understand how this place is always packed. Ive only been here twice since opening. First time i ordered a double burger, it was soggy and sloppy and the patties are worse than bK. I decided to give it another shot since its down the street from my house and had the chicken sanwich. The sanwich was just bad.. the chiken patty was thin and dry and oil logged. I felt terrible after eating it. If im going to eat fast food ill deff be going to wendys, bk, or mcdonalds before sonic. The theme and atmosphere is cool and the shakes arent bad i guess.. mehhh sonic 👎🏼

I have had the food here a few times in different locations and the burgers and food are subpar to any other type of fast food restaurant. We do enjoy the ice cream products and shakes which are excellent and is the reason why we go. We do enjoy the car hops. If you're going to go don't expect McDonald's or Chick-fil-A or Wendy's class of burgers. But enjoy a very good shake or blizzard

The carhops are mostly great! This isn't about them. It's the issue with ordering in the app. Many of the specials they advertise are only available on the app. Their Nesconset location is in a Wi-Fi & data service dead zone (in case you're wondering, Optimum & Sprint). Sporadically, the app will let me check-in for ordered-ahead pick up, usually it doesn't. I used to go quite often on my way home from work when I was on long shifts and late night hours. After a late shift, you just want to eat something quick and get home to bed for your regular early start the next morning. They do sporadically send text deals you can use inside. They cut off in-app ordering an hour before they close, too, so bear that in mind. Though, they should honor the deals offered in the app if they're open yet, not allowing you to order through the app. I asked once if they would honor the special, and the "manager" acted like I was asking for something unreasonable. A polite no or exercising discretion would've been a better response than what I received. These are cumulative experiences over multiple visits. The last two visits have been uneventful.

Really long disorganized wait in the drive thru lane. DoorDash picks up in drive thru lane so we were waiting behind door dash drivers. Ice cream was made by person who was skating around outside .. went in no gloves and made our ice creams we could see her … kind of yuck Workers not wearing gloves going from touching outside doors right to food handling/ preparation! not coming here again

Sonic doesn't match their online prices. App is cheaper than in store, Employee & manager would not accommodate online prices & had an attitude. They literally charged $21 in store for a $13 online order. Be warned as you can be scammed for more money than you expect.

This sonic is horrible with taking orders. Im not going back here again. Ive givien to many chances and im done. They always get my order wrong and the "kids" they have working there could care less about getting it right. They would rather walk around messing with eachother and having a good time rather than take care of their "job".

Just got served a loaded bun of mold. Manager only refunded just the hot dog after throwing whole order in the trash. Quality control doesn't matter. Horrible management.

Extremely poor service. Ordered chicken tenders & a shake. Waited 23 minutes. Every other car received their orders, even those that arrived 15 minutes later. I pressed the call button, but was ignored. I finally gave up & left without food. Very disappointed. Will not go back, do not recommend.

I have tried this place a few times and over all the food is okay at best. My question is why can the not figure how to serve hot fries or tator tots. There fries are room temperature at best almost like they are sitting unheated on the counter. Very disappointing I think I'm done with Sonic.

Elena the good for nothing manager at the Nesconset location was very rude didn’t do anything for us we waited at the stall # 18 after pressing the red button for 30 minutes moved to another stall #19 pressed the button waited for 10 minutes with me STANDING IN THE STALL while my car was parked in the other stall. We finally got to order so we asked to speak to a manager.The manager couldn’t give us a discount, nothing for free for us waiting and didn’t help us at all. And she came out said I decline to help and went inside. Never go here. We witnessed 6 different cars order get their food and leave and new cars came

Not my first time eating at a Sonic, but first time at this location. The food was just not good although the inside is clean and well kept. However, the franchise manager is my real reason for the one star. Totally obnoxious and no confidence in his staff. A carhop was reading back a large order to a customer when he blatantly told the customer to check his bag before he leaves to make sure everything is there. The carhop stuck up for herself and told him that she double checked it, when he then proceeded to tell the customer to "make sure they made it correctly". All while laughing. Like, that's not a joke. Go in the back and make sure the food is being prepared correctly BEFORE it goes out, don't belittle your staff in front of customers. Oh, he also told a staff member to be trained in multiple positions bc she won't be a valuable employee if she only does one job. Now, while I agree that you should learn all the aspects of your job, you shouldn't be made to feel unvaluable, no matter what your doing. Also when an employee asked him to "have faith" in her, he quipped back with "I never said I didn't have faith in you, but I never said I did either". Ugh, just so disgusted.

I was very disappointed with this visit, because I usually love sonic. However, I was very upset with this visit. I had to repeat each item to the girl who was taking our order, at least 10 times. Even after repeating my items sooo many times to her, she got many things wrong. We had gotten 2 Oreo cheesecake shakes and they were just regular Oreo shakes. All our hotdogs were squished and the buns were falling apart. On top of that, there was little to no chili cheese on them whatsoever. I don’t live close to sonic so I was really looking forward to coming, but this visit was horrible.

My wife went to this Sonic today and ordered a "cheescake" milkshake. She said it tasted horrible and asked the guys there for something else. They asked her if she had sipped it yet... Are you kidding me? How else would you know that your shake is gross if you didn't sip it? Anyway they proceed to tell her that she couldn't have something else because she already sipped it. What embarrassing and terrible customer service. Those employees obviously have zero idea how to treat customers. I can tell you that wouldn't have happened if I were there, I would have demanded a refund. The milkshake tasted like rotten cheese, my wife brought it home to show me how disgusting it was. Anyway now Sonic won't be getting the money anyway because I'm charging back the purchase on my credit card. Lost a customer, great work guys.

I walked in this morning at 10:40 to get some breakfast on my lunch break at work. Nobody at the counter with two guys eating in the restaurant. I walked out at 10:50 after I waited for 10 minutes twiddling my thumbs. Pretty abysmal service I'd say.

This place has horrible customer service. After spending 20 min. in the drive through waiting for the crew inside to figure out the customer's coupon in front of me I get the wrong food. After returning to the restaurant and waiting another 10 mins for the manager I requested a refund. After the refund was processed, the manager then proceeded to tell me she would have given me the food for free if I hadn't asked for the refund. This should have been her first offer to me, not a spiteful comment after the fact. If you don't want your restaurant to process refunds, then make sure your staff has the proper training to accept coupons. Will NOT be returning.

Very disappointed. The burgers were cold. The mozzarella stick marinara sauce was cold and in a pack rather than fresh. The shake (Oreo cheesecake) had no Oreos and tasted off. They very reluctantly made the shake again and it was much better.(after trying to convince us there was nothing wrong with an Oreo less Oreo shake)

Stopped here on my way to work. I was already running late. I just needed something quick to put on my stomach so I stopped to grab an egg and cheese sandwich. The manager came to the window. Left me sitting out there for about 10 minutes. Finally she comes back with a sandwich gives me my sandwich. I’m Headed to work and I open up the sandwich. Just wanted to Try to eat something before I get to work and start my day. Well, I opened up the sandwich to see that the bread on top is molded green so I couldn’t eat the sandwich I couldn’t turn around I had to get to work, and after work I was So tired and ready to go home I didn’t feel like stopping there again so I just had to take the loss. The customer service was unacceptable. The food was unacceptable but they took my money so I’m not too happy

Me and my family haven’t ate Sonic in over 4 yrs. We decided to get some last night and it was the worst decision we ever made! About after a half an hour after eating, We all had stomach issues!!! We all had bad cramps and kept using the bathroom. It is the next morning now, and we are still having stomach issues. This never happened before to us ever!! The service was ok, ( had to wait about 7 min) before someone finally came up front. The food was was Ok, didn’t taste that good. To experience what we are going through now, is NOT worth it!! We will never go back to sonic ever again for food at least maybe just a milkshake.. Just be careful eating here!

i hate this place! every single time i order here, they always mess up my order. I get mozzarella sticks and they never give me the sauce. Which it’s supposed to come with. i always ask for it and they say, yes we did put it in there, and it never is. Also my blasts never have any toppings. Worst place ever.
