Piglet Wine Bar

Love the location and atmosphere of Piglet Wine Bar. Settled in a quiet side street, the outdoor dining experience was very enjoyable. I booked ahead of time, and the table cleared just at the right time. Had no extra wait upon arrival. The food was great, 3 courses for just €35. The presentation of each dish was impressive and and taste did not disapoint. We had a couple cocktails and a bottle of wine. The wine selection was adequate for the outdoor dining experience. Lastly, the staff was kind and attentive. Both members of the team helped us feel at home and welcome. Kudos, to them both!

Steak was very large but good for 2 as a special occasion. As someone who likes pate we were not a fan of the pate itself, it was encrusted in a bread and did not come to our expectations. Despite this the rest of the meal, shrimp, and steak was good.

I love this little spot! Tucked away a bit from the chaos of the Temple Bar main drag, Piglet Wine Bar is a delightful hidden gem. It’s a lovely French twist on a tapas bar. I sat at the bar and was well taken care of. Their wine selection is fantastic and curated with a discerning palate. This is the type of place where the kitchen is teeny tiny, yet produces incredible dishes full of flavor and the bartender doubles as drink pourer and focaccia prepper. Basically, they produce gastronomic and libation miracles in a simple yet charming space. Added to favorites whilst in Dublin.

My absolute favorite meal I had while visiting Dublin. Every dish we had was amazing, even things my wife got that I wasn't expecting to like. I wish I could sit and eat the entire menu just to try it all but I think I would become the piglet in the name lol. We got the duck gizzards, octopus, pasta, beef cabbage thing, and pistachio cake, I would eat it all again right now. Octopus especially was not what I was expecting but perfect as an appetizer. Service was also great. I didn't know what to do about wine but the guy took one look at the dishes I had ordered and in 5 seconds was like, do this one it'll pair well with everything. No idea how he did it but he was 100% right. Better meal than my anniversary dinner that I planned ahead and dressed up for lol.

Superb dinner! Great wine selection! Cozy space! Great service! What more could you ask for?? I had the prawns pil pil which were exquisite. The mushroom risotto was excellent. The presentation of the scallops were was spectacular but tasted ok. The piglet bolognese was yummy! I really liked the chestnut tiramisu. The wine selection was so good. We tried six different kinds and liked all of them. Yay!

Amazing service! One of the best restaurant experiences in Dublin. The team were French, and I felt the French hospitality at its core. Really great selection of wine internationally. The food is delicious, and the mix and match 2/3 dishes work really good.

Dinner excellent. Food had great flavors and wine list was extensive. It was a quiet night and our server was great. Definitely would recommend and looking forward to heading back to sample more wines and have for Duck Gizzards!

Second visit to this wonderful restaurant, recommended by a French friend—and it did not disappoint! Piglet Wine Bar serves the best steak in town, hands down. The hospitality from Thibaut was exceptional—he is an absolute star and made our dining experience truly memorable. Looking forward to coming back again and again!

The best Tartare in Dublin! Had lunch here on Friday and truly enjoyed the service and food! We started with the charcuterie board and moved into the tartare. I’m already itching to go back! Thanks to the team- you were superb,friendly and attentive.

Adore this little restaurant and wine bar. Super friendly French staff who know their wine. Enjoyed the devilled eggs and mussels followed by a giant cup of Tiramisu. Wine was amazing and well be back!

Great food, great wines. Mostly meat-based as the name would indicate but there are a couple of items that are or could be made meatless. Outdoor seating with heat lamps and an awning when necessary. Knowledgable and helpful staff especially about the wine. On a walking only street, no cars driving next to you. Good view of the theatre school across the street with a beautiful window and clock.

We went here for a meal on valentines night and booked last minute. When we arrived we were seated at the bar and I was a little sceptical. It turned out to be a fantastic evening. The staff were excellent and the food was amazing. Well worth a visit if you’re in Dublin! Amazing hospitality and service.

I have to say this place is flawless. Amazing wine the most fantastic atmosphere. Scallops and Cote de beouf absolutely perfect packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Staff were amazing very attentive and knew their wine. If you are looking for perfect date night or small group meal this is the place!

Love Piglet!!! The wine list is seriously excellent, curated by real pros who know their natural, biodynamic, and classic bottles inside and out. The staff are fantastic at guiding you to the right pairing. Don't skip their house specialities such as the prawn pil pil, duck gizzards, and the côte de boeuf of course ! Their kitchen is tiny but delivers massive flavour. Highly recommend this spot for a great date night or a sophisticated catch-up. Don't seem to be able to stay away from this pace!

The Cote de Boeuf is amazing. I've been to the Piglet Wine bar a few times over the last few years and each time I leave absolutely stuffed. I would highly recommend a visit and to go there hungry.

Had a delicious set menu of spring caprese salad and an excellent beef stew. Lovely wine. Great cooking. Delightful service. Recommended.

Super cute place with delicious wines and tasty food! They have a crazy long wine list, with options like "daily tastes" and "weird reds." As for food, it's tapas style, with plenty of vegetarian, meat, and fish options. My favorites were the goat cheese toasts, chorizo and brie toasts, and the winter caprese salad. Between the two of us, we got 3 of the smaller plates and two bigger ones and it was enough to really fill us up. Also, the tiramisu was amazing!

So I was looking for a good early evening meal and spotted this place ranked in a recent Eater Dublin write-up as a hot spot to eat. They had a cool 3-course prix fixe before 5:30 (I arrived at 5:15!) Great wine list and cool menu. I opted for seafood risotto & cacio e pepe. Both were excellent. Accompanying wines were also great. Yummy creme brulee was the closer. Sat at the bar. This space is small/intimate but the staff are friendly and engaging. Highly recommend.

Love love love Piglet, the food, wine and service are always top notch. We had a selection of starters, duck gizzards, devilled eggs, prawn pil pil and the paté, all were delicious. We had a bottle of white with the starters and left the owner choose the red for the main, both were lovely. For mains two of us shared the Côte de Boeuf and the other two mains were Ragu and Cacio de Pepe, all were absolutely delicious, the Beef was cooked perfectly. Even though we were stuffed we shared tonka bean creme brulee and some dessert wine. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Always come here for wine. I absolutely adore it. The staff are knowledgeable and they offer an incredible selection of wine. Some great unique wines too! Worth a try and great to sit outside in the summer. Decor could use a bit of an upgrade though. Need to come back for a meal sometime. Really good focaccia basket though!

This is an absolute must when in Dublin! The wine, the food, the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. We had small plates and sat at the bar. The truffle eggs were amazing. The food was incredible. The staff was so entertaining and fun! They truly made our night !

Classic European experience sitting outside in late may with perfect weather. Servic was great and the wine was excellent. Will plan to go back when we're in Dublin again. Food was sort of Mediterranean but very delicious

Had a lovely evening here recently - a really cosy venue, chilled out vibe but very professional and friendly service. The food is very tasty and more-ish and plenty of choice on the wine front. The baked cooleney with bread was amazing, if not a wee bit too runny.

It came highly recommended so we were excited to try it, but it was a bit of a letdown. The food was just ok! Nothing really stood out to us. I had the bacon wrapped scallops and the duck confit, and my husband had the pork chop. While nothing was bad, it just wasn't really worth the money. Service was friendly and prompt. I do want to give them a huge kudos for accommodating my food allergies!

We were looking for a place to get a quick bite close by the hotel and we found this gem. Excellent service! Amazing food. We had the charcuterie and cheese board. A nice bottle of Chardonay. Plump and sweet scalops wrapped in bacon and Marcona Almonds! I mean. What else do you need?? Great service!!

A nice place to grab a quick pasta and or wine! Pretty close to most things and delicious food. There’s indoor seating and a covered patio when the weather is nice

Very cosy place with lovely and helpful staff. We had cacio e pepe and white wine. They have a long menu of good wines from all over the world.

We all had a pasta or rice dish. We all thought it was mediocre quality. It tasted of pre-cooked and re-heated (and not so well re-heated...). Maybe it was just a bad night, but I'm afraid we won't go back there.
