To be honest i didn't know what to expect about the place,i'm used to being at Karaokes in Tijuana because that's where i'm from and definitely the place was awesome,the music isn't too loud,the DJ really knows how to equalize your voice so you don't too bad,i do sing bad and he made me feel like i'm a pro,barterders are friendly and the people too,the place was a lot more better than what i expected,and i really had a fun night,and the best part is that is pet friendly and i got to pet a couple of dogs from someone else <3

Karaoke Weekends! Oceanside's version of a "dive bar". Great bartenders and the food is great. The Patrons are what makes you want to go back for more.

Amazing Bar My group was able to get their drinks quickly as well as their checks. The vibe here has been very versatile as well. I personally recommend Larry’s Beach Club!!!

This bar has been in Newport Beach since I've been born and I have been going there for the last 40 years feels like you're going in a little ship we it was crowded the day that my son and I wentat first it felt like we couldn't get service I went in there with my son who is Black we ordered drinks there was nowhere to sit we were getting a lot of evil looks we left and when I came back the bartender asked where did we go and he tried to make me feel comfortable for us to come back again I think he sensed what was going on but who cares life goes on let those bigots move around other than that it's a lovely bar there's pool to shoot and I go get my my ties from there I've put other pictures on this site to show you the lovely my ties that they serve there

I get to sing Karaoke...so many days a week! The DJ takes care of you as long as you get in early enough...they are usually really full, make sure you get there early!! Drinks are cheap and the party is usually non-stop all week! Karaoke usually is after 8 (don't quote check site) and if live band is going off on one side, there's a room w a bar just for karaoke!!! BEST KARAOKE spot in North county!!!

I love visiting this beach dive bar with an old antique Mermaid, on top of sitting at the best bar stools in the State of California. Once you sit down you don’t want to get out of the seat, super plush. Great atmosphere, diverse crowd, if you are visiting Oceanside, it’s a must stop!

That place is so unbelievably fun. You can have a choice between listening to live music and go to the carrier of your room both of which are very entertaining so you can just go back and forth between you two. There are a lot of young and old ladies who are single and good looking too I might add.

Cheap drinks! Lots of fun. Both the bouncers are really nice and make sure everyone’s alright. Theres a sense of community that is present in dives. Bartender is efficient and makes a good drink. Comfy high back barstools. There’s pool, karaoke, a great patio etc. If you’re looking for a true dive this is a great place! Good place to people watch also. I didn’t try the food so I can’t say.

Larry's Beach Club is a laid-back, beachy spot perfect for casual dining and good vibes. Known for its friendly atmosphere and live entertainment, it’s a great place to kick back with friends or meet locals.

We went for a kareoke night, and the vibe was great during the day. I wouldn't recommend going, but at night, the place is a great dive. It does smell like any other dive bar, though cigarettes and stale beer.

Great atmosphere(2020) Update 2023: I come here sometimes when I'm in the area visiting from Seattle. This is the coolest dive bar I've ever been to, mostly because of the people! I went for karaoke this last time and first let me say the staff impressed me, the karaoke host seems like a normal nice lady but she has a voice reminiscent of Stevie Nicks, then the bartender was bartending WHILE ABSOLUTELY CRUSHING HIS KARAOKE SONGS! Not only is the staff super cool and friendly but the people that come there are too, we met a hoodoo priest and one of the people in my group exchanged energies with him, everyone had tons of fun! I definitely recommend this bar if you're looking for some fun and excitement and you're in the area!

Didn't get to taste the food because they shut down their kitchen right smack at the beginning of karaoke. We drove a long way and we were hungry. We ended up ordering a couple of drinks and singing one karaoke song and having to leave because the rotation was so ridiculously long and there was no food. KJ was great though! Would return just for her. A suggestion, if you're going to have a crowdful people drinking in your establishment it's a great idea to have food besides the fact that you'll make more money you'll have much happier customers.

The lady blonde bartender gave me good customer service. Though unfortunately they seem a little understaffed. Under the current circumstances, I won’t hold that against them. For some reason this comes up as a gay bar. I think whomever first reviewed this place meant to type "dive" and it autocorrected to "gay". This is a classic dive bar. Limited beer. They have good happy hour prices, but the food has gone down hill while getting more expensive. $12 after tax for garlic wings that were barely edible.

Karaoke on fridays ... the place was fun and extremely casual, however the bartender in the karaoke area served us well rum, when we ordered crown royal, and she was not friendly when we asked for a correction.

It's a dive bar. The people that were doing karaoke was having a good time. The partender didn't even make eye contact with me until I forced him to see me. But overall it was a decent vibe.

Was very pleased to hear from my niece that Spenser the door guy seriously saved her from getting harassed by this strange man who might've had too much to drink and couldn't take the hint that she was married by the ring on her finger and 2 separate occasions she told him that she was not interested!! Thank you Spenser! You're our hero!! If I could give 10 stars I would in a heartbeat!! Spenser is what makes this bar run smoothly and professionally!! Had to add to this that I really want to take away the 5 stars that I originally had left because they got rid of our favorite person there! No more Spenser no more 5 stars!! He was a huge part of why my friends and family actually went to that place! He made us feel safe and protected! We miss him so much and keep trying to find out where he works now!! I'm sad to say that Larry's beach club has gone down the rabbit hole without him. Bring him back and I'll give you back your 5 stars!!!

Interesting joint this place is. Wonderful high-back stools at the bar with a fine fabric, nice bar area with attentive barbacks. Now, the food? I had a couple of the meatiest oyster shooters around. Nice big briny oysters. The cocktail sauce in my opinion could have stood a little more lemon juice and a tad more horseradish. For lunch I had poppers and their fish and chips. They were good with healthy portions. The breading was not too thick and had a good seasoning to it. I'd return to this divey place but probably only during the day. There was some kind of meeting going on in the smoke room while we were there. Not sure what type meeting it was but looked to be some of the 'muscle' of Oceanside.

Overall great dive bar and karaoke spot. The place can use a lot of upkeep and maintenance. Restroom needs to be renovated or at least some form cleanliness. Music is ridiculously loud and space is so limited. The smoking area seeps into the main area which is counter productive. Crowd control is another thing. I understand we’re at a bar, but security needs needs to pay attention to those small things. Further issues or problems can be avoided.

Super sketch dive. Ordered a vodka soda and it was flat. People stare here and it is an older crowd for sure, at least earlier in the night. We got uncomfortable so we left fairly early, the vibe could be totally different later on so take this review with a grain of salt. Definitely a locals spot and not for tourists/visitors. Multiple people also told us "just be careful there's usually fights here." Welcome to O-side.

We had a good time there. Only issue is that they charged us twice for drinks. I started a tab on my card, my friend had them charge my tab to her card. They returned me my card with no charge slip or anything and gave my friend her slip that had all our drinks on it. Yet when I looked at my bank the next day I was charged too.. Don't recommend using your card here.

I went there the other night and low and behold they have a bouncer there by the name of Cody who is a well known drug dealer and convict working the door. I guess that's what the place has come to just another low budget oside bar ran by the drug dealers with no back bone I left right away. Bad for the community

It pains me so to see the final chapter on what once was a wonderous journey full of new characters and no reason to end. New relationships cut out from under us abruptly and without warning or mercy. Warm hearts now cooled and no one to lend an ear for those in need. The night is darkest before the dawn, yet we now find ourselves shadowed in perpetual darkness, our sweet precious nick naire to bring us the warmth and light we relied upon. Hearts and minds in Twain ready to call for action or call it quits. Bring the light back or choose eternal darkness. This is our call to action bring back our precious boy Nick . Because he’s the bartender Oceanside deserves, and the one it needs right now.

This place is terrible and left horrible taste in my mouth. I visited this place because we know one of the lead singers for a band that plays there. I had a bouncer upon getting there harrass me and my group about coming in the wrong door. He wouldn't let it go either just kept going and going. The bouncer was very confrontational and appeared to want a show down. He of course carded us (no problem) and continued to challenge me and say we couldn't come in that door. I'm over 40 and so was everyone else in my group. If you dont want customers to use the door mark it as such or post a bouncer at that door to direct customers to the right door. Customers leave through that door. We entered here because people were leaving. To the bouncer who was confrontational I would suggest you use common sense and be courteous. I was not drinking yet and you sir were as high as they come. I get your doing a job, but there is nothing wrong with being nice. We did have two ladies with us. You simply could have asked us to go around to the other door but wanted to make sure you looked tough in front of everyone while embarrassing me and my group. Thanks for setting the tone for our night. I hope that the owner reads this.

We rebutdtaled and claimed we were enjoying our night and rob refused to serve us drinks. We never did anything to cause a scene or anything. We tipped the kj and the bartender over 20%. Not a fan of this place. I’d like a response from management please

The bartender Tanya was Very Rude, Bad attitude and Nasty towards me. She ignored me and just keep talking about her personal life to other customers. It took her FOREVER to help me with a NASTY Attitude. I asked her if she was upset with me for something. She said no but why do I ask. I told her that her dimmer and attitude and rude comments towards me was very disrespectful. Other customers also commented about her. They said she was Always like that. She has VERY BAD people skills and shouldn't work there. She makes it unpleasant and uncomfortable for everyone. The food is good!

Better places to spend your money and have a good time. Even their karaoke was bad. Could hardly hear anyone.
