I’m not sure why I haven’t been to burgers and brew in a while. The first time I had it was many years ago. I was craving a burger tonight for dinner and was wondering where should I go and then I thought to myself oh wait burgers and brew! The place is nice. They have a lot of outdoor seating and also indoor seating. It is open seating so you get a menu and decide what you want, then go order at the counter. They give yoj a number and they bring you your food. I opted for the bacon cheeseburger and upgraded my side to the garlic, curly fries. The food came out fairly quick. The burger was amazing just how I remembered it but even better this time around it was super juicy and everything tasted fresh. The barbecue sauce was also pretty good. The only thing that didn’t go as good was the taste for my garlic curly fries. Those were OK. I don’t think I would order those again. I would just get the normal fries other than that everything was great. The servers were also super nice and very attentive. They also have a very big list of beers.

I absolutely loved the Restaurant and the atmosphere, however as I was dining, (well to be fair I had not received my actual food yet, just my drinks) the restaurant next door took out their blower and began to blow off his outside dining area, (which I happen to be sitting directly next to) I apologize for speaking in the manor I did, but as you can imagine I was quite offended, when I had to ask him to please stop blowing his leaves into my drinks… other than that I loved this restaurant

1st time coming to Burgers & Brew. Loved the old fire station vibe. Our food was good not great or amazing just ok if I’m being honest. We both agreed that there wasn’t much flavor/seasoning to our burgers.

It can be confusing and awkward when you first come in, but they'll have you order at the bar. There's a good beer selection and a couple of TVs to watch sports. The food is good— I usually have a burger and fries. There's seating inside and outside.

9.16.23: I'm from Reno and drove down the hill to attend a concert at Ace of Spades right next door. Before the show, I met a friend and I decided to eat a lite lunch. It wasn't too busy when we walked in, yet it was steady and seemed to have gotten busier as the evening hit. This place is a seat yourself kind of joint and when you're ready to order you do so at the register and they give you a numbered placard in return to place at your table. I went with a half order of the Fuji Salad, no meat. My friend got the clam chowder bread bowl. We shared an order of the garlic fries. My salad was good and I liked how the sweetness of the apples offset the tangy balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Although it wasn't a San Franciscan chowder bowl, my friend said her soup was pretty good The garlic fries were great, served with diced garlic, and the cook was perfect. I would like to come back and try something else!

Very good burgers, on the expensive side. Chili fries had a nice robust chili flavor as well. Friendly staff and goos service. Excellent covered outdoor seating during the pandemic. I would recommend if you are okay with the price.

Customer service was great and the food was decent enough. Great beer selection too! I had the chowder fries (highly recommend) the buffalo burger and sweet potato fries. All pretty decent.

Delicious burgers and fries. Parking can be found on the street or a structure. We ordered Greek burger, avocado burger (generous portion of avocado), and New England fries (clam chowder/bacon/cheddar). We had the sweet potato fries and onion rings and both were quite delicious. I have been to many places where the burgers are good, but fries are decent, but this place has both. Finished it off with a strawberry shake which was fairly simple and basic and nothing super special. Would come again if we ever in Sac Town.

I really like this place. It is disappointing that most places are turning into an order at the counter type of place but the food is still delicious. Their burgers are some of the best and the onion rings are cooked to perfection!

First time visit and came during happy hour. A few customers but not busy. For the price, 2 stars is being generous. Ordered the Cheese burger + sweet potato fries off the happy hour menu, and a Strawberry Mangostein beer. Price: $30 after tip Food: The medium rare burger was cooked perfectly for me, and despite the burger being pretty plain for a $15 burger.. it could have been good. The problem? Zero seasoning or sauce, an absolute crime. Light on the cheese for a 1/2 lb burger also. All in all, a sad meal to eat. I realized post meal I could've added my own salt to the burger, as I'm sure that would've made a world of difference. It just never occurred to me you know lol.. Sweet potato fries also no seasoning or sauce, cooked good otherwise. More enjoyable than the burger but was hard to get their salt to stick. Beer was unfortunately meh also, but not a huge dis. I loooove some fruity beers, but they're hard to find. Most breweries don't get the balance right. I'm sure their regular beers are good. Waitress was fantastic (never got her name or I forgot) and I talked with her about the burger / fries. She said they don't season their sweet potato fries (should absolutely be advertised as unseasoned IMO). She said they normally season all their burgers, and some burgers also have sauces on them. The theory was that maybe someone else ordered the same burger and asked for no seasoning, and it got sent to me by mistake? Or the chef just forgot but the chef had gone home so we don't actually know what happened. Either way, you can't be charging someone $20-30+ for a completly unseasoned, unsalted, unsauced meal. I refuse to say DRY because again, burger was cooked good and not dry at all. Just tasteless. Though ig the fries were dry? Maybe I should've asked for butter or olive oil, as that would've helped getting salt to stick on them. Then the fries could've gone from 1/10 to 9/10 easy. Final thoughts: This place definitely has potential to be a 3-4stars for me if the food had at least been salted. For the price however, I'd still expect a lot more for a $30 meal during happy hour. Don't want to look what their regular prices are O,╭⁠╮O p.s.TOTALLY forgot, I asked them about parking and you HAVE to pay a minimum of $3.50 to park street side, per hour. A metaphorical nail in the coffin for me🪏🪦

Very disappointing. Ordered a burger, to go, and requested well done. Took a bite into a cold and very RARE burger. I called to make a complaint and the manager did nothing to make this issue better. Refused a refund because it was placed through post mates, which I understand, but no offer to make it right in another way. Didn’t give their name, just all around poor management and personal skills. FIRST and only time I will be dining here.

Sorry for the negative review, but I felt harassed by the wait staff because they kept constantly coming over to the table and asking if we were done or if we needed boxes. We were there less than 20 minutes and they asked 2 or 3 times before I told them to leave us alone. It felt like being pressured to leave when the restaurant was basically empty anyway. No one was waiting for a table and there was plenty of seating. Felt really unwelcoming which didn't make me feel like the mediocre food was worth the high prices. I was not surprised to hear about their recent health code violations with the health inspector, it seems like people there don't put in as much care as they should. I hope they improve so I can update my review.

Service was good. Friendly and attentive, especially for an "order at the counter"style place. The food was trash. Why include sauces or seasonings in the menu description and not use a single one? Fries arrived unsalted. Burger arrived dry and flavorless. My boyfriend ordered loaded fries with the cheese unmelted and the fries already wet and soggy. The beer is served in soda cups for some reason... for a restaurant advertising beer in the title, it's strange to me to not use actual beer glasses. For 2 beers, an appetizer, and 1 entrée, we paid $58. With that, you get plastic cutlery, plastic plates, beer in soda glasses, and food so unbelievably plain it should be criminal. Front of house is good, kitchen staff either need to be trained, replaced, or a serious kick in the behind to step it up. With so many other phenomenal restaurants on the same street, I'm amazed this place is in business. We ended up going next door, ordered the fried mac and cheese, and had far superior experience.
