Hands down an amazing time overall. The food was delicious & our waitress was hilarious. Really felt welcomed from the moment I came in to the moment I left. Highly recommend for a quick lunch or a nice sit down dinner with friends and family. Make sure to ask if they have Black Forest cake, you won’t be disappointed!
Excellent place! The staff is super friendly and food is delicious. If you’re looking for something different from burgers and Asian food this place is the spot.
Manor is our go to spot! It’s family friendly and everything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious! Favorites are the schnitzel club, BLT and burgers! Something you wouldn’t expect are the ‘fancier’ foods are also amazing here! Grilled salmon, beef medalions and steak are top notch! The service is great every time, very friendly staff!
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, i felt like i was in a munich bar. I recommend the bavarian pretzel, and the reuben. the chicken fingers were delicious as well. Great beer too. Hofbrauhaus munich beer is amazing.
Stopped by on a Saturday evening for a couple of drinks and some food--Bratwurst, Cucumber Salad and Chicken Fingers. The food was tasty though it took a little longer than usual. The beer selection on tap is really good: at least a dozen different ones to choose from. Good atmosphere, nice seating outside, good service, and overall, good time. Would come again.
We arrived 30 minutes before the kitchen closed and I hate being those people. But we were immediately warmly greeted and sat, weren't rushed for our orders and our food arrived very quickly. Everything was delicious, authentic German food and beers.
Food and beers are excellent. It's definitely worth going to this cozy restaurant for Oktoberfest. Check thermonuclear first so you can decide which dishes meet your palate tastes. Get the Oktoberfest pretzel well done. Otherwise, it's too soft.
I don't eat German food very often but decided to stop in. I ordered the jägerschnitzel and decided to "Oktoberize" it which added mushrooms, onions and bacon. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms and onions went well with it. On the side they provided delicious fried potatoes and cabbage. My girlfriend ordered a bratwurst and polish keilbasa which came with a German potato salad. We were very satisfied with our food. This is somewhere I'll be going again!
Love it every time we go. Good food, good people.
Best German food in NYC. Struben sandwich is a must along with goulash.
Roast pork, and tons of appetizers. Great service would definitely go back
Went for the first time, after years of passing by, and I enjoyed it. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the German potato salad and one of their lagers. I asked for a side of extra BBQ sauce and I ate every bite. The server was patient and helpful. Looking forward to going back when they have either their trivia night or live music.
Great German food. Menu for this restaurant is short.
Delicious food - we love the pretzel, sausages and schnitzel. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Extremely kind and helpful servers! We love eating here every time we visit.
I've been here more times than I can count. The jägerschnitzel is excellent, massive, perfectly fried, and absolutely delicious. The mushroom sauce is balanced and perfectly complements the schnitzel without making it soggy. The wurst never disappoint as well. And you can never go wrong with the Bavarian pretzel. Top-notch German beer selection and the service is always friendly and attentive. One of the best (if not THE best) German restaurants in NYC.
Had a very nice meal with the family here. Very accommodating to an 8-person group without a reservation. The food was delicious and the prices were good. Lively, but not too loud.
Amazing food, great service, huuuuuge portions and prices are extremely reasonable, highly recommend! Also, beer selection is spectacular 😄
Above average attention to detail, good selection of reasonably obscure beers (in this area). A Reuben sandwich is normally nothing to crow about, but I feel compelled to comment. Last night was my first visit to MO, and the Reuben was my yardstick of choice. Notably, it might have been the best I've ever had. It was the standard Reuben, except that the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. EVERYTHING seemed prepared with care, down to the pickle. The potato salad was delicious (everything was), and the corned beef had the perfect hint of clove. The price was quite reasonable, which makes me wonder how they keep their food costs under control; my guess is that they make the stuff there to do that. At any rate, the sandwich and the service were outstanding, and the crowd was friendly as well. I'll definitely be back and amend my review as necessary, but I suspect it'll stand as written.
My wife and I always enjoy stopping in for food and drinks. I always like talking golf with Mark and Jan. Terrific friendly, quick service.
Very tasty food, convivial atmosphere, friendly service. My regular end of work week hangout with friends!
Another great meal at manor Oktoberfest, went with my family for the live Christmas music by Klaus and Tom. Amazing as always.
Such amazing cooking! I never hesitate to suggest this place. Food was brought to us quickly and was delicious. The quality of attention is perfect. I'll surely come back here.
The restaurant has prime visibility from the street, but their service is what's truly visible. You pay little but get acceptable food quality. The employee talked just enough but gave us space. I've ordered widely and been pleased throughout. Have a great time enjoying the food.
Food is comforting and the kids meals are only $12! Great place for families! We come here for PS174 fundraisers and every time I come I am always impressed! All staff are efficient and helpful and my favorite was our waiter Kerry! Helpful recommendations, multitasking and on top of everything! I was also impressed how clean the bathrooms were! Always appreciate that!
great atmosphere, classic german food friendly staff always a good time either just for drinks and beer or a sit down night out
I had a wonderful hearty dinner with my hubby and father-in-law at Manor Octoberfest. We had a tasty chicken liver paté; sauerbraten eggrolls; pork loin stuffed with bacon and apples with a side spaetzel; jagerschnitzel, Octoberfest style, with black forest ham, mushrooms, onions, brown gravy and a side of fried potatoes; and Hungarian schnitzel served with cucumber salad and spaetzel.
Excellent food with quick and courteous service! Th beer is fresh as is the food, try the Jager schnitzel it’s my personal favorite
Having visited this establishment on numerous occasions, both alone and with family, I can confidently attest to its exceptional ambiance and amiable staff. The culinary offerings are truly remarkable, providing a delightful experience of authentic German cuisine. The selection of draft German beers is of the highest caliber, ensuring a memorable and satisfying beverage experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for your culinary enjoyment.
The staff was very accommodating and attentive. Upon arrival for my pickup order, the hostess was very welcoming and greeted us the moment we entered. The bartender was very personable and efficient. Great price for the quantity of food. Pierogis were somewhat underwhelming, but potato pancakes, Jägerschnitzel, red cabbage, Wurst Platter and two apple strudels were delicious! The feast fed four comfortably. Everything will definitely taste even better when dining in.
Atmosphere, cuisine, service, bar, food quality, everything was top notch!! First time in and it felt like our friendly neighborhood bar. Started with pierogies and pretzel, both great! I had the jagerschnitzel with spaetzel and red cabbage, phenomenal and coworker had sauerbraten and fries. Everything came out quick and hot. There was nothing left on any plate AND THEN the had cappuccino crumb cake for desert special. Paired perfect with a cup of coffee. Now let’s talk about service. Nadine was fantastic! A big part of the reason we felt right at home! Perfect balance of small talk, but not annoying and kept the drinks flowing and recommendations coming! Highly recommend sitting with her if you stop in!
We just held our daughter’s first birthday in the beautiful, well lit, private room and we had such a fun, memorable experience! The staff were friendly, easygoing, and very professional - especially our hostess Carrie. She communicated with us throughout the party and accommodated our needs. All our guests enjoyed and complimented the food - people were able to pack leftovers and there was nothing left at the end. We ordered a large pretzel for each table to start and they were delicious! Highly recommended venue for parties! Thank you again to Carrie, Mark and all the staff for going above and beyond!!
I really enjoy going to the Manor Oktoberfest. Each visit is always a wonderful experience. The staff always have smiles on their faces, the food is delicious and I enjoy the atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to stop in. A++++
Very Welcoming staff. Great beers on tap. Menu has a wonderful variety of German favorites with seasonal specials. And plenty space for families to sit together.
Great atmosphere! Great crowd great bartenders! If you come in on a night that Steph is a working, you're guaranteed to have a great night. Waitresses and other staff are absolutely wonderful to talk to and super friendly. Crowd is friendly and inclusive. Food is amazing, an easy go to is any brat and try their huge pretzel!
This was my first time there and the first time having German food. We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday and were seated right away. We saw the location was family friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and warm. We will definitely be coming back with family next time!
The most superb service and unsurpassed experience. Every visit is amazing! I always leave with the next visit being utmost in mind. A great aspect to an already pleasurable local environment.
Manor Octoberfest is a great place. The food is very good, well prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with a great crowd that makes the experience even better. The service was excellent….everyone was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. Everything worked well together, and we had a really good time. I would definitely come back and recommend it.
Manor Oktoberfest is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is consistently on point; great steaks, amazing burgers, and the specials are always worth ordering. Everything feels well thought out and well executed. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is comfortable without trying too hard. I live close and would eat here eight days a week if I could. It’s one of those spots you’re genuinely happy to have nearby.
The staff is welcoming, professional and efficient. The food is exceptional. Other than the traditional German delicacies their weekly specials are mouth watering. This week, the Flat Iron Steak is off the charts delicious. You could split the Cowboy Steak and feed the family They just featured their famous Seafood Chowder and Seafood Egg rolls. Not to be missed!!! They feature German music and Trivia on alternating Wednesdays and Dino on the Accordion on Thursdays They feature German Bier from the 6 traditional Breweries ( from the 1,400 and 1,500 hundreds )and many others Great place to bring the family. Prost 🍻
I recently went out for a small holiday dinner with family. We had an awesome time. The food was great and service was super accommodating. The restaurant was crowded when we walked in and they did their best to find a table for us right away. Great bar up front as well with lively atmosphere, excellent bartenders and a wide selection of beer. Great find in the area. Highly recommended. We loved it!
I'm a Friday regular and have tried almost everything on the Menu. Luch Specials are priced right and portions are decent. Always a fun crowd at the bar. The family that runs the place are some of the most decent folk in the world.
The food is delicious. The goulash is the best I have ever had, the schnitzels are excellent, and the rest of the menu is as well. The draft beers are a stand-out. The atmosphere is friendly and festive.
Great spot with consistently good food and a solid beer selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and it’s an easy place to enjoy a long meal or hang out with friends. The schnitzel and sausages were really well done, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out quickly. Definitely a reliable go-to for German food in Queens.
Had another AMAZING dining experience at Manor Octoberfest. The staff is always welcoming you like you’re family. The food is consistently fresh and delicious !! My go to meals are the jaegerschnitzel with spaetzle and creamed spinach… enough food for 2 meals. The salmon I order blackened over a salad and I am always accommodated. Great food… fun atmosphere and the best service !! If you have not been here you must go!!!
I’ve been coming here for years and every time I go, I have a great time. Delicious food, cold beer, excellent staff, and great conversation. It’s almost 10:00 am. 2 more hours until they open and I can order that magical elixir that makes everything good in the world-BEER! See you soon…
Manor Oktoberfest in Queens is truly a gem. We’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent—comforting, authentic, and always prepared with care—but what really keeps us coming back is the incredible staff. Mark, Stephanie, Jan, Eilish, and the entire Manor family go above and beyond to make every visit special. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, and they treat us like family every single time we walk through the door. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people are this outstanding. Manor Oktoberfest isn’t just a restaurant to us—it’s a second home. Highly recommended! Prost!
I have nothing but good things to say about the food, staff, and owner here at Manner. I have been coming here since I can remember and have always had the best of times. I've had so many meals here, from my communion to graduation parties to even just Friday meals with my family. Nothing but love for the Manor Community! If you are in the area, I totally recommend checking it out. My go-to recommendations are always the wings and bacon for appetizers.
It was our first time having lunch at this simple, friendly and kind restaurant. Walked in and was attended with smiles and all accommodations also helped with recommendations for food. Our server Alexandria and her sister made us feel amazing and the food was delicious. We had Wiener schnitzel with fries and red cabbage washed down with Octoberfest light beer. While waiting for our main course we had a big house salad ( fresh mixed lettuce, tomatoes cucumbers, shredded carrots) we share. It was delicious and kept us busy while waiting for our enormous schnitzel with mushroom sauce. I wish it had more mushrooms, it was so delicious. We asked for cappuccino and heated apple strudel that came with vanilla ice cream and while cream. We totally enjoyed the whole meal and definitely recommend this restaurant because we will be back soon.
family friendly place with good beer and bar food. It is spacious and comfortable inside. the service was great for us and the kids
Went for with family and friends after funeral service. The food and service were great. The bavarian pretzels were homemade, and they were excellent.
Good German food, great beer and super friendly staff.
Once owned and operated under another name by a childhood friend's parents, this place does a brisk business and has good food if you enjoy German fare. I don't care for it myself, but you are sure to find plenty that you will. As for desserts, go straight for the apple strudel, cheesecake, and fudge cake. They make very good coffee, too, and do have a nice selection of Boylan sodas, which are reasonably priced.
The place has been redone again. i had the shrimp, fried fish, and fries combined. It was very greasy. The shrimp were a good-sized and a large portion. The others had a currywurst dish and pulled pork dishes. The bill was aprox $.70.00. The service was very good. I still think the pastrami and coored bef sandwiches are their best.
I love potato pancakes and was expecting a pancake size order. They were smaller appetizer sizes. I went just for the pancakes and ended up with a fish sandwich in a German Restaurant. It was good, but I felt my choices were either sandwiches or large meals at 2pm.. I'll go back to try something else..
The service was really good and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The ambiance was very nice and the place was clean. The food although palatable and cooked well was not as good as I would have hoped for the price. My pork chop was tough and rubbery although the German potato salad side dish was not bad, very authentic. I didn't sample the German beer but it looked tasty.
The food here is traditional German food they have all the side dishes to go with all your favorite dishes from bratwurst to huge pretzels with beer cheese you can't miss... They have outside seating as well to eat or if you are just interested in a few drinks with friends they have an outside rail to sit a drink as well....If ya like German food this place is a must 😉
Service was GREAT!! Atmosphere was wonderful, very clean. The food was good. We had the bratwurst which was excellent. We also went with the fish and chips which was o.k. breading was greasy and the fries were not so good. Beer was outstanding. Apple Strudle for dessert was amazing. If we go back I would definitely stick with the wurst and a beer.
Went here with family so... we ordered different dishes from their menu. We had their famous oktoberfest Pretzel (a must try! It's really good), Jägerschnitzel (not really satisfied with the taste), Grilled Salmon (a little dry), BBQ Pork Ribs (this is also good), kids Grilled cheese, kids Grilled Chicken (I assume this is good since the kids finished all of it) and for our dessert we had the Apple Streusel Cake (not really a fan of fruit cakes but my family likes it) and... I forgot the other one but it tastes like Dark Chocolate cake (this one I like but way too sweet for 1 person). The place is clean, they have restrooms, function room available, ambiance is a little noisy for babies. The kids were busy doing activities since the staff handed them coloring activity books. But for our little one, she was a little uncomfy... maybe because of the noise. The staff members were accommodating and friendly.
Good place to get a drink and probably skip the food. Pretzel isn’t that good being too soft and crust isn’t crispy. I tried better. Place - this place is large and can be for big parties. There is a party area in the back but didn’t see it myself. The tables are huge and can get busy after 1 or 2 pm. Food - food is dry and lack flavor. Or that can be just how German food is like but I had tried other in Berlin and in Brooklyn. The pork breading is too dry and lacking flavor. They should change up the recipe as there are better. Pretzel is a disappointment. We end up having all our food to go maybe for late night snack. They make great drunk food. Service is the best part. They are so friendly and quick with the food. Didn’t have to wait long for our check. Summary is worth one visit and mostly come for the beer to be honest.
The bratwurst slaps. It's the best item on the menu. Don't second guess---just get it. Skip the sides; the potato salad and fries weren't good. Fries tasted frozen and old. Second would be the black forest cake. Usually desserts are not the best at restaurants, but to my surprise, it was really good. The sponge cake was soft and fluffy. And it wasn't overly sweet. The middle has Maraschino cherries---wasn't a fan so my friends ate that part. The potato pancakes were delicious, too. Never knew fried potatoes would taste good with applesauce. Wish the applesauce was homemade. Portion is huge, so you will eat your money's worth. Service was fine. We arrived around noon on a Saturday. By 1pm the restaurant was busy and full of customers.
First time at this place to try German food We order 3 different plates. 1-Eggrolls was very crispy and served with apple sauce. Was pretty good 2- Hungarian Schnitzel, pork was super soft and tender but the outside nice and crispy & tasty and served with a great sauce, spaetzel and cucumber salad. Waitress was very nice and attentive .Place was crowded and tables separated by 2 partitions to protect the customers. Bathroom was very clean. Like the fact is totally enclosed and individual. Portions are big ,but then again ,is $22 to $26 a plate and drinks are also expensive. 3 DINNER PLATES ,3 DRINKS,1 APETIZER $169.00.
We started with the pretzel with the beer cheese. Personally not much of a fan of it but it wasn't bad. Rib were pretty good when you had it with the mustard. Without the mustard they were alright. Hungarian schnitzel - the pork was crispy and tasty. We did not like the pasta thing it came with however. Warm apply strudel with Ice cream was good. Service, vibe and cleanliness was ok point.
A cute little restaurant bar with a nice out door dining. Lovely staff people who are super nice and sweet, however, I'm not a big fan of their fish and chips. Their fries are great, no salt and freshly cooked but the fish was too greasy and did not taste that good. I had to peel off the deep fried skin since it was very oily and did not stick to the fish very well. I wouldn't recommend the dish in the restaurant, I'd try something else. :(
Half the sandwich was fat after being told the meat was lean. Also ordered wings, no celery, when asked they said they ran out. We were there at 12.30 pm. Waitress was rushed and short answered. All in all not good experience will not try again. This was second time and just as bad as the first.
ordered the 35$ and up steak. Steak was very tough and sinewy ,the steak turned out to be 55$ definitely not worth it. Very disappointing. Pirogues were not really pirogues.but stuff little pockets of potato's, pork cutlet was dry. Not going back.
Typically this place is decent. Today picked up my food and they overcooked. Everything
Denied me a table in a more than a half empty tables. Had a group of friends come in afterwards, so I sent my white buddy from Arizona 5 minutes after me, to try and get a table and voila, they gave him a table for 6. Make of this whatever you want.
