Good service, lots of space to hang out and play games or watch sports. Beer is ALL good! They currently have a cookie pairing available, beers matched with Girl Scout cookies 😊 Fun way to try more beers and eat cookies! Otherwise, hit up the food truck outside for tasty grub!

Went here for a Girl Scout cookies and beer tasting. . . It was amazing. This is just a nice community bar, the beer is good and the people are awesome. If you want a nice spot to chill and kick back this is it. Plus they normally have a food truck outside and it is dog friendly. You are allowed to bring food in too. So the food truck, the bbq spot and the pizza place are all fair game.

I love Thorn, I've always loved Thorn. It's a great location, close to my house. The staff is awesome, the food trucks outside have always been amazing, the beer is awesome. Nothing to not like and one ofy favorites in SD. Tacos courtesy of Atesano Tacos (also amazing)!

We loved Thorn Brewery great service great beer Atmosphere is fun nothing but laughs and fun Location is in the middle of a neighborhood different from most Breweries. The bar tender was super helpful about describing and recommending what's on the menu that would satisfy my palette. The place welcomes dogs, so open and great place to hang out. Parking may be a little challenging, gotta park along the streets but you can find one, just time it right. There's a food truck outside that will complement what's on tap if you have craving for food

Lovely authentic atmosphere, we love to just swing by for a glass. Thorn Street Brewery is down to earth and the beers are very unique, just find your favorite! I love the Coconut Porter.

Great low key spot, and dog friendly! Also has a wonderful back patio that is roomy enough for a birthday or gathering. Love the beer, food is via featured food truck, and they have a great carbonated tea for a non alcoholic option.

Such a great local brewery. Very chill environment! Local pointer- if you buy their beer at a store the six pack reusable can holder (see pic) you can collect them and bring them in to get free T-shirts’, hats or discounted draft beers. Reduce reuse recycle :) ♻️

Great spot to hang out. Dog-friendly, and a good amount of outdoor space. The bartender (gray beard, didn't catch his name) was very nice and helpful. Chatted with us a bit about his dog and our dog, and when we tried using an online gift card he did everything he could to input it manually, scan the QR code, etc. When it didn't work he suggested emailing support, they cleared up that the card could only be used online, so I used it to pick up some beer at the Barrio Logan location where they were very friendly as well.

Look, stop looking at reviews and just go. This place is the perfect balance between homely, friendly, fun, warm & beer. There’s literally families with babies sitting at the bar and everyone is so nice. And the pizza is top notch. Just go. do it.

I liked the place. I honestly didn’t have high expectations for the beer here, but I was surprised — the Hazy IPA was good, and the West Coast IPA was good too. While it’s not the best beer I’ve ever had, it was definitely very good. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. The place is pet-friendly, and my "pichon" had a great time.

They require that you purchase a five dollar food truck coupon for each person. Which I understand because of COVID-19. I was pleasantly surprised by the IPAs. They were very smooth and drinkable, yet interestingly as the time went on and the beer got warmer, the IPA became more hoppy. I love their outdoor space and what they’ve done with the place since the last time I was there two years ago. The bartender was attentive, helpful and sanitized the tables before we sat down. I will be reviewing the noodle food truck in another review. The food was great.

Definitely a very chill place. Considering the large space there was limited seating which I guess is why they set a few tables outside for extra seating. The staff and the regulars are certainly friendly and very inviting but for some reason this place fit a bit off. Who knows, it could just have been the time of day I was there but if Friday Happy Hour doesn’t send off good vibes than what does? 🤷🏽‍♂️ Don’t let me be a keyboard warrior here because everyone’s experiences will always vary but for me, this wasn’t it. Check the place out, grab some food, and see for yourself. Still all about keeping it local! Enjoy.

We ordered saisons, and they tasted awful. They were sour and olive flavored. Not sure if th bar tender mixed up the beer we were supposed to get or if the beer was just that bad.

The bartender even threatened to kick us out if our friends’ daughter made another loud noise. So, if you’re planning to meet up with friends and kids, it’s better to avoid this place—unless you enjoy being thrown out.
