Loved it! Today's spe ial called to me chorizo Benny. Pancake was awesome. The spicy Louisiana sausage was so tasty. Great coffee too. Our server was super attentive and nice.

Wow!!! Superb staff, Amazing...food, good ol fashion breakfast great flavor and hearty portions. Oh yeah...Real potatoes, super fresh locally sourced produce!

Pleasant Surprise! When my friend and I entered the restaurant we were greeted by the pretty hostess Amy who told us to take any seat. She promptly asked us if we coffee or something else. We both had coffee. It wasn't S$bucks but was OK (I had 3 cups) and exactly what I would expect at a breakfast restaurant. Now on to breakfast. My friend wasn't too hungry so he opted for fruit and fries. The fruit was fresh and the fries tasty. I had the pastrami omelette, onions and home fries. OMG best home fries ever. Seriously my friend and I were so happy with such a simple thing. The omelette was really good and I could cut the pastrami with a fork. 😁 Looking for a traditional breakfast cafe? Garrett's is it!

Small, diner type of place. Groups of 4 is good. Larger groups might have a harder time, or won't all be able to sit together. Food is classic diner fate, and the staff is friendly and helpful/ attentive. Parki g cab be challenging, as is typical of Santa Barbara. Decent prices, and my last name is the same as the dinners name, so there's that! Lol

This diner looks like something from the 50s. Sit down bar and booths. The pancakes were great, perfect amount of chew and not fall apart. The corn beef hash was not good. Every amount ofoisture and grease were grilled out of it. I also was not happy with $4.25 cup of mediocre coffee. Santa Barbara prices I guess.

Good diner food with great service at a reasonable price. I had eggs Benedict and a blueberry pancake. No complaints at all. I was traveling alone in CA that week and found that most places do not invest much in single patrons, which is a shame. HOWEVER Garrett's was the exception - THANK YOU!

Delicious breakfast, very fast and no fuss. Relaxed setting. If bacon was cooked fresh, would have been amazing. Overall you’d get the typical American breakfast experience.

Pictures speak for themselves. I like a good ol' mom and pop eatery but this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Waitress was super nice and they seem to work hard however I'm surprised this place is open. No surprise THEY DON’T SHOW THEIR HEALTH DEPARTMENT RATING FOR A REASON... food was overpriced and mediocre. NOT STAFFs FAULT. The owner seriously neglects the establishment. What is visible is disturbing and leaves me concerned for what we can't see. Pretty much ate one item from my breakfast plate because of disgusting environment and grease soaked house potatoes.

Stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning. We were seated right away. Waitress came over after a few minutes. Keep in mind there is only one server. She took our drink order and brought menus. Coffee and drinks came out a few minutes later. She took our order and the food came out in a reasonable time. The food was okay, I can say my pork porch breakfast could have used a little more flavor and seasoning. The rest of the group agreed the food wasn't the greatest for their prices. Service was great but the food can use a little more love and flavor.

Not a horrible experience but definitely not the best breakfast or diner in SB. Food came out cold and the interior hasn’t been updated in forever. Ingredients felt super low quality. Wouldn’t recommend, especially for the price because it wasn’t cheap. We paid $50 for two basic breakfasts and coffees.

Bland food. So gross I almost threw up in my mouth. Had to spit food into a napkin. My husband’s food was also gross and bland. Prices do not reflect menu. Wait staff not attentive or understanding of what’s asked.

Ok folks. Don’t fall for all the glowing reviews. This place is terrible. We ordered French toast, a veggie omelette, hash brown and two cups of coffee: - the food was incredibly greasy - the coffee was just brown water - the vegetables in the omelette were barely cooked (in the same over oily way the rest of the food was) - the French toast tasted like old fryer oil (we couldn’t eat it at all) - potatoes were mostly oil - hash brown was decent - service was very good - friendly and attentive Adding insult to injury, this set us back $50. Total waste of money. Go somewhere else for breakfast in SB. Ignore the great ratings of this place unless super greasy spoons are your thing.
