I have been customer for years. Love the durian and avocado, my coworkers love the durian coffee.
A hidden gem in Garden Grove. This place serves the best Vietnamese street food in OC. I don't like Bot Chien ( Vietnamese Fried Rice Cake), but it was so delicious that I ate almost half. The Duravo Ice Cream is the signature dish and it did not disappoint me at all. Can't wait to come back again.
Omg their taro rice cake and avocado smoothie!!! 😍😍😍 Rice cakes were ✨ah-ma-zing✨ and the salad it comes with is fresh and balanced. Avocado smoothie was very smooth and was the right sweetness, with no chunky ice bits at all. I came here to study and the place is great with a lot of open tables, free WiFi, clean bathrooms, and great selection of vietnamese food if you get hungry. Service is super friendly and seems family owned. Only thing is there are only two outlets along the wall, but nothing a surge protector can't fix! There's also a very cute kids table at the end. Highly recommend this place!!!
This place is delicious. We had the pandan waffle and the Dur-avo, highly recommend both. The waffles are fresh and fluffy and had some bits of coconut in it, It was so good. And the Dur-avo had some of the best durian ice cream I've had, you can tell it's hand made. I would love to try more on my next visit, highly recommended.
Went in for a fresh juice and a special item However seeing the portion size of the sundaes, we knew we wouldn't be able to finish so stuck to two juices. Their juices hv no added sugar and seem super fresh. Had an oc pine and watermelon on ice. Yum yum. Parking out front and I think there's easy access. They're following covid protocols now too so that's another plus.
Great place to get work done. Laptop-friendly with wifi, outlets, and restroom. Peaceful interior with running fountain.
Their signature Bo dam kem sầu riêng is so yummy. Must try.
Nice place with nice staff, food are yummy. Flan is delicious
Their signature mashed avocado with durian ice cream tastes like I got it straight from a market in Vietnam! They were able to accommodate for a peanut allergy as well. Highly recommend!
I left a nearby computer repair business thirsty and to my dismay, the small restaurant next door was closed for lunch. I was hopeful that I would find another place to get a drink of any sort and as I looked down the parking I found a place to fill my tumbler with something cold. little did I know that I was walking into where I would find probably the best smoothie I've ever had. And that is a jumbo mango strawberry with mango boba if you are also interested in being blown away. The decor and design decisions are very modern, yet inviting. There was no hesitation for a kind young lady to assist me as I made itt o the register. Being totally unaware of what they did or had to drink, I told her what I typically like and asked for her recommendation. She made sure to thoughtfully come to an idea of a few things she believed I would like. Unlike many in food service who just say anything to stop dealing with you. She hit the nail on the head and now has a loyal customer if I am nearby. Better yet, the prices are insanely good compared to any juice bar I have been to. All around great experience and by looking at this review and their average rating, you will surely have a great visit as well
I actually been here couple times already. I really like their Bo Dam Sau Rieng. I think because of their location make it not so busy. I recommend this place to lot of my friends. Hope they get busier since their foods and drinks a pretty good.
Located in a small plaza next to Pickle Banh Mi, this place serves various Vietnamese street food and desserts. They are famous for their durian icecream that can be put on their signature phin coffee and various fruit. They serve sugarcane juice here mixed with numerous fruit such as carrot, pennywort, and coconut. We always order their phin coffee, dur-avo smashed , panda waffles, and creamy leche flan. Order early in the day because they do run out of flan that they add a shot of espresso on top. Found on most of their desserts is shaved coconut and almonds/peanuts . Almost everyone orders their dur-avo smashed. I recommend calling and ordering ahead because they are constantly busy so you might have to wait 20-30 minutes of you get their specialties. You might have to wait for their phin coffee (Vietnamese slow drip). On one occasion, they ran out and were contently dripping in the back. We had to wait 30 minutes from a phone order because they were so backlogged.
Hole in the wall kind of place. Got to try their bánh tráng trộn and avocado durian smoothie, makes you craving for it like always. 👌👌
Really nice place, the people are very kind and handled every request efficiently. I enjoyed a more traditional meal whereas my wife was thrilled with the larger options of vegan offerings. Good pricing on everything, and it was very clean here, even though it had clearly been busy. We will be back to try more of your wonderful foods!
Aunt Yese’s Home Cooking in Anaheim is an absolute gem. The food was delicious, full of flavor, comforting, and clearly made with care. Every bite tasted like real home cooking done right. The service was stellar. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell they truly care about their customers. The full vegan menu is a huge win. It is not an afterthought. It is thoughtful, satisfying, and incredibly well done. If you are looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and excellent vegan options, this place is a must. I will absolutely be back.
Aunt Yese’s doing something right in the kitchen because this brunch was phenomenal. We came on a Sunday at noon and joined the waitlist on Yelp. There were 10 parties ahead of us and we waited about an hour for a table because the restaurant was small as well as busy. Service, however, was pretty quick as soon as we sat down. I had the country fried steak with hash browns and a pancake. Everything was so delicious! I especially liked how the batter of the country fried steak was light and crispy. It is a little on the heavy side, so I would probably share this next time. The hash browns are divine. They are also light and crispy and have a delicious buttery flavor as well. You can upgrade to chili cheese hashbrowns for an extra $2.99, which is totally worth it. I will say that everyone at my table who had the chili did have to use the bathroom almost immediately after, so be careful! But the chili was delicious, and I would order it again. I also really liked my pancake, which was fluffy and buttery. If you opt for toast instead of a pancake, the sourdough is also really good.
I work for boys and girls club we had a staff meeting here The waitress was really nice. The food was outstanding .I had the bacon egg and cheese quesadilla and it was delicious and big with the home fries were soft, had a lot of flavor and were a little spicy with the onion and the peppers. But we're really good. The steak and eggs are really good and even the club sandwiches really anything look delicious. It is a little small in the restaurant and they are only open from 7:00 to 2:00 so breakfast and lunch only but it was worth it. I would give five stars. Give it a try Think the prices are a little high though.
This was the perfect spot for brunch. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and the wait was reasonable for a high traffic time. The food was incredible! Best omelet I've ever had and loved the house fries. Very family friendly, welcoming and warm atmosphere with plenty of gluten free options! Perfect way to kick off our day.
Staff was so nice and accomadating! We stopped in for brunch before heading to the airport from our Disney vacation. The food surpassed all expectations!! Our family enjoyed kids pancakes, breakfast burrito, BLT and omelette. I highly recommend this stop for good home cooking!
Tried this place out due to a friend’s recommendation and boy were they right! Such a welcoming and warm environment, really relaxed as well and didn’t feel pressured to order. We asked a lot of questions since we were curious as to what the daily specials consisted of and also their pancakes being described as fluffy. If you can or have the time, I highly recommend their fluffy pancakes, I’m going to dream about them! I will say everyone that we interacted with was very friendly and we were even given some sides to try as well which was super kind of them to have done. Our server was named Gabby(not sure if one or two B’s), but they were super helpful and we can’t wait to go back! I ordered the special which was the spicy green chilaquiles and they were absolutely phenomenal and hit just the right spots in terms of spice and overall flavor. Also loved that the tortillas themselves still had a nice bite to them when they were served!
Aunt Yese's Kitchen is the real deal. I always get the steak and eggs and it’s hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. The steak is cooked perfectly every time its super juicy and packed with flavor, and the eggs come out just right every single time. You can taste the quality and the care that goes into the food. The portions are more than generous and the service always makes me feel welcome. If you’re craving an unforgettable meal, this is the spot. I can’t recommend it enough.
Aunt Yese’s Home Cooking was such a delightful find near Disneyland! The food was absolutely fantastic, and I was especially impressed by their super awesome vegan options. We tried the vegan tacos, hash browns, and vegan pancake – all three were simply amazing. The service was warm and welcoming, even on a Monday morning, which made the experience even better. The place has a very homely vibe that instantly makes you feel comfortable. Overall, it was one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve ever had – highly recommend!
Outstanding food and an unforgettable experience! The pancakes were light and full of flavor, and the country fried steak was absolutely amazing. The staff was warm and welcoming, creating a friendly, inviting atmosphere. The vibe was lively and perfect for families. This cozy, family-owned spot is definitely a hidden gem, and those who’ve discovered it are fortunate. We’ll certainly be back! Pro tip: get there early, as the wait can be longer during peak times, but the speedy service makes it well worth it!
My husband and I ate here today 2/28 for breakfast. We were so happy to have so many vegan options. We ordered the Chilaquiles a la vegan and the vegan French toast with a side of hash browns. Sorry I didn’t take the photos with the full plate of the chilaquiles they looked so good I had already started eating. The spice level on the red sauce was perfect. Just a little tickle on the tongue with a hint of sweet. The chips were the perfect combo of soft yet still with a slight crunch. The vegetables were perfectly cooked with a delicious fresh element. I highly recommend. The French toast (we added sliced banana which I also recommend) was wonderfully sweet but not cloyingly so. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. We were also able to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with oat milk (they also had almond milk available). Although it was very busy while we were here, we were seated pretty quickly and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back! Thank you Aunt Yese’s!
Would give ten stars if I could!! Very cute diner/cafe with classic and new breakfast options alike. Came here for the extensive vegan menu when driving south from LAX. Service was quick, accurate, and staff were super friendly and attendant. I had the vegan French toast and vegan hash with plant based chorizo, 10/10 would order again. You can't find vegan French toast anywhere! My partner had pancakes and the country fried steak and was just as pleased. Other reviews mention long wait times - we got there around 8:20 and were one of three tables. It promptly filled up to about almost full in the hour we were there. Big thanks to this business for having so many awesome vegan options!!
This is the second time I've eaten here and the service and food is incredible. The first time I ordered a simple breakfast with pancakes and it was great. The coffee was really good this time. I ordered the chilaquiles and the side order of French toast. Amazing! The food tastes great, tastes fresh just like you would get at home. The service here is fantastic. It's a small place, very cozy. If you're looking for just plain good food, please check this place out. In one of my photos I included the first time I ate here. I did take a picture so I added it to this review.
Taste :4.3/5 Environment: 4.3/5 Service:4.0/5( self service ) little garden oasis known as Frechuss! This place is not your average dessert spot, oh no. It's a Vietnamese ice dessert hidden gem, and they've got something truly special for you. little garden inside,. Their signature dish, the Frechuss Bowl (Chè 7 màu), is a sight to behold. It's a colorful masterpiece featuring ackfruit (seasonal), grass jelly, green jelly, toddy palm seed, crystal boba, coconut, longan, and coconut jelly. And that's just the beginning! This bowl is topped with peanut and almond in coconut milk and derivative milk, along with your choice of flan, homemade durian, or ube ice cream. Yes, you heard that right - homemade durian! If you're feeling daring, this is your chance to take the plunge and try the infamous durian.
Saturday 11/9/24 Desert Time at Frechuss in Garden Grove with my mother and sister. Enjoying smashed avocado, shredded coconut, and durian ice cream smoothie. It’s so refreshing and hit the spot! David Young Restaurant Enthusiast ———— Saturday 5/25/24 Desert at Frechuss in Garden Grove with my sister. Enjoying durian ice cream avocado drink and flan with coffee. It’s a lovely Saturday with my sister, restaurant and market hopping. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
I am not a local but I always want to support a small family business whenever i am in the area. I got durian avocado smoothly as usual and it's good as usual. But the woman who works there, who never smiled or knows how to say thank you. It's such a basic daily thing but she's like no bother me, bro.
Came on the rainy day and it was quite. They have extensive fruit juice menu. Went with avo smoothies and hubby got drip coffee. Coffee was super strong. They serve food too but didn't get a chance to try. Will be back if we are in the area.
There are so many other places have the exact same thing. This spot looks popular among locals and have a long history (not the cleanest place). Taste is not that special.
The creamer was old and spoiled. It balled up on the top of my $5 coffee. The chilaquiles were good, but insanely small. I felt like i ordered off the kids menu. 2 eggs, 10 tortilla chips, and 2 oz. refried beans for $18.99!!! French toast was small too, 2 pieces of bread. Way overpriced for what you recieve. Ill have to stop and get breakfast still. Definitely left hungry and overcharged. I would give them a 1 star but its a small mom and pop shop that cant even afford a large sign on the outside of the building. So if youre going you have to really look for it. No sign on building.
HIGHLT NOT recommended! It took them the whole 45 minutes to fulfill an ube bowl! Is it that difficult? The owner doesn’t care about customers. The bowl is actually just ube ice-cream and coconut flakes and peanuts put together, nothing unique. I really regretted the time wasted there waiting on the order. HIGHLY NOT recommended!!!!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience due to the incredibly rude customer service I encountered. From the moment I walked in, I was met with attitude and dismissiveness. Simple questions were answered with eye-rolls or snarky remarks, and it felt like my presence was more of an inconvenience than anything else. There’s no excuse for treating customers with such disrespect. I won’t be returning, and I suggest others think twice before going here. I was also told my food would be ready in 20 mins and then was told extra 10 mins without any apologies.
