The food was wonderful. My husband and I came up from Atlanta and went there to eat. The atmosphere was very enjoyable. The wait staff was awesome. Thank you Tony and Cheryl for showing us an amazing time.
Went with a group of friends and reserved an Igloo. It had heat and a speaker to play music. The food was good and came hot and exactly as I ordered it.
Had dinner in one of the igloos with friends and had a blast. Food, drinks and service were excellent. We love District 37–they never disappoint!
Hubby and I went for a date night here last night after winning a gift card at a raffle. We really enjoyed the food and the atmophere. We grabbed a drink at the bar and we were seated after waiting less than ten minutes. The waitresses were pleasant! My kids and I are eating the delicious pulled pork as leftovers right now! They rate it a 10/10 and want to visit.
Went with a group of friends in February during a snow storm and ate dinner in one of the igloo's. They are heated, however ot can still be a bit on the cold side, so dress warm if you choose the igloo. Dinner was excellent, service was excellent, overall experience was excellent. What a great place to go for dinner. Average price for a couple, above average experience!
A great spot this was our first time here. It was on the pricy side but the food was top notch. They have a good tap list and we didn't try the cocktails but those also looked good
First time here with my lady. We came at 8pm and there was still a sizable crowd with a 10 minute wait. Spoiled alert: it was worth it! Music plays in the background audible enough to hear but not over powering. The seating and bar is nice with room to move around. Kristen was our waitress and she was friendly, prompt and welcoming! We ordered the Birria egg rolls and Brisket plate with Mac and Cheese. The Birria was delicious and the dip that accompanied it was very tasty. Now the Brisket… Iv lived/worked in Oklahoma and Texas and have been to some amazing BBQ places- and District 37 legitimately rivals them. That Brisket needs NO SAUCE. The Mac and cheese tasted homemade and unique and all of the sauces are Very good! Kristen brought out Dana who is the lead on the BBQ and I told him this is probably the best BBQ in WNY. I really liked that she brought him out and he explained some back story- just makes everything more unique and authentic. Overall we were extremely impressed. Already making plans to go back next weekend with a bunch of friends. I really wana try the Detroit style pizza and wings. If you haven’t gone- I highly recommend! A+
First time visiting this restaurant and all I can say is Wow! The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Our server Hailey was the best person ever, she was so attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back soon.
I've been hosting Buffalo Bill's Watch Parties (Meet-up groups) at District 37 over the last year with an average of 20 people each Party. My attendees LOVE THIS PLACE! They treat us great and the food is excellent! Highly recommend this place!
Mike & Pop's Bistro & Tavern: Cozy spot with a casual vibe. Offers classic American dishes with a twist, good portion sizes, and friendly staff. Great for relaxed dining and comfort food lovers. Reasonably priced with a solid drink menu.
Being so new, I was expecting to deal with quality issues, service issues, etc. Especially because we were a table of 5. But honestly, the food was really good and the service was too! It was really busy and every table was filled, but even still, we never had to ask for a refill. Idk how our server, Justin, did it but he always saw when our waters were getting low and was able to refill them before we even realized it. I highly recommend the loganberry martini. We all got some version of the 2 meat platter, and we all enjoyed what we got. The portion sizes are big, I hope they stay that way because I love cornbread and I was excited to see such a big piece come with my meal. The dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries was probably my favorite part of the whole meal! It was pretty loud inside and we did have a hard time hearing each other and had to yell and lean over the table. But I know it was really crowded because it's the opening week, so I'm hoping once things normalize it won't be quite as loud.
My cousin and I had shared the beef brisket nachos (Enough to feed an army). And the truffle Detroit style pizza. Both were yummy. And the service was excellent. My cousin (Female). Said that she had enjoyed the atmosphere. So no complaints from me with regard to this excellent establishment.
Great service and cool vibes. The food was delicious. Only thing I’d say is I wish they had some sort of sampler platter with their appetizers because everything looks so delicious.
First time coming here and it was a really fun place! They have been open for about a year, nestled down the street from Remington, near the park! They have gluten free options as well, big portion sizes especially the nachos! Can easily be split with a family. Will definitely go back when we are in town again!
District 37 opened couple months ago and I originally was planning on ordering pickup but when I called they said I have to order in person. When I walked in, I changed my mind and decided to eat here and grab some drinks. All the staff are so friendly, they have an excellent list of beers on tap and the food is 👌. Highly recommended
Great BBQ and service. I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious and paired nicely with the District 37 Pilsner. Highly recommend!
District 37 is excellent! I reached out to them to see if they would offer an area for a 35 person surprise birthday party, and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful. He was so accommodating and fulfilled every request! We ordered from their catering menu and everything was delicious! Our server Kristen was also so nice and very attentive! I highly recommend District 37 and can’t wait to go back!
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Me and my family come here very often. My favorite personally is the wings. All of their meal choices are unique and delicious! 10/10 would recommend to anybody!
The whole experience here was fabulous. The food was great, the service perfect and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. This chef is one of the absolute greats. Our server, Amelia, was a perfect representative for this business. I am sure she is a valued employee. This was our first time here, but there will be many more to come. Thank you to all who make this place so wonderful.
I had a little get together (12 people) to celebrate an engagement. The food was delicious and our server Brandon was wonderful. I would highly recommend!
Had dinner here for a birthday. The food was excellent and portions large enough for sharing. I had the brisket with Mac n cheese, beans, cornbread. The spice of the pasta was perfect, fat rendering on the brisket was 10/10. We had a lovely server who accommodated a birthday cake WITH NO CUTTING FEE! Lately I've been charged $25-$30 for bringing in a cake to other places. I don't mind paying it for the convenience but it was great they didn't have one. Fantastic service despite it being extremely busy. Will be back soon!
Still drooling over our dinner tonight! We ordered fried pickles to share which were perfectly battered and fried. My son got the smoked Buffalo Wings, they were so meaty and flavorful, he says the best he’s ever had (and he has had a literal TON). We appreciated the little sauce ramekin that was actually better shaped for dipping wings too! My hubby got the Heat Wave burger which was perfect for anyone who loves their faces melted off. I got the Oklahoma Onion burger, also highly recommend if you like savory flavors! My daughter got the kids cheeseburger sliders and said this was “the yummiest food of her life!” Taylor our server was prompt and super helpful, and we loved the whole atmosphere, especially the outdoor patio with a great view of the Erie Canal. They also had a great selection of beers on tap. We had some pints and a beer flight and while we liked them all, the District 37 Pilsner was our favorite. Can’t wait to go back for another delicious meal! I think I even saw Josh Allen eating there….. 😉
There were so many good choices on the menu. When I saw the lobster roll, I knew immediately I wanted it. I certainly was not disappointed when it arrived at the table. The roll was on the large size packed with lobster. And the flavor was just what I expected. I paid more in the state of Maine for a roll than I did in Western New York. The restaurant had a very warm homey feel and the service was excellent. They also have igloos outside for a nice dining experience. We will certainly make our way back there again soon.
Absolutely phenomenal experience. Great vibe, great food, great service. Stopped in here around 4pm on a Saturday on a whim and the place was hopping! Had a seat in the enclosed patio - which despite the chilly day was delightfully warm and offered a fantastic view. Everyone from the host to servers were gracious and expedient. Had the Cuban Cigar appetizer (super presentation and banger sauce) and some of the BEST burgers we've had out in years. District burger and Heat Wave. Also, excellent beer selection on tap with flights available so you can try them all. Thanks District 37, we will be back!
District 37 is a wonderful new spot in North Tonawanda! The Boom Boom Shrimp and Cuban Cigars are must have appetizers. The BBQ platter with sides was tasty and quite filling. My family also enjoyed the pizza, burger and smoked wings they ordered. The variety of sauces offered add a flavorful touch to the food and the overall presentation does not disappoint. Our drinks were made well, too. Friendly staff from the hostesses to the servers and management. Fun atmosphere, delicious food and quality service... we will be back!
Was able to accommodate a group of 7 of us on a holiday off/Monday evening with a minimal wait! (We needed a low top table for our grandpa). I got a mocktail and a flat bread and both were delicious! A manager or owner had come over and apologized for the short wait which was so appreciated but it truly wasn’t a long wait for us, he was so kind! Our server was good even with it being a busy night and even brought our grandpa a special birthday treat! Would definitely recommend checking out this great new place and I’ll be back again as well!
I've tried 10 different items on the menu and all 10 were absolutely fanominal!! Owners are great, atmosphere is great and Service is really good. One of the best restaurants in all of WNY region...
The atmosphere is great, the service is excellent and the food is always delicious! Tonight i had the spinach and ricotta pizza (forgot the name) ....chefs kiss delish!!! Go now ...get anything on the menu you wont be disappointed!
We LOVE District 37!!! Came here on a whim last year and have been loving it ever since. Wings? BOMB. Bbq? BOMB (especially the brisket - wow). And I cannot stress this enough: do not sleep on the Carolina gold bbq sauce!!! Not to mention: they’ve got a HUGE beer selection. And every single server/bartender we’ve had has been excellent. Quick, kind, informed. 10/10 recommend. And shout out to management! They do great things for the community!!
Update: we just got the Nashville hot deep dish for takeout again tonight, and it is easily my favorite pizza in the area if not any I’ve ever had before. It was cooked perfectly. The crust was incredible, love the flavors, highly recommend. This place can be packed, and more recently we decided to get take out- we don’t like crowds much, and rather eat at home. The last time we went there, I called about an issue with our order, and the manager and staff made it right and really stood by their food. We love this place and will continue to go there, great pizza! Great staff, great apps, the whole deal. Thank you so very much for making us feel so welcome and appreciated.
First time here, went with a small group, ordered some appetizers, craft beer and 3 burgers and 1 lobster roll dinner, everyone agrees the food was excellent, good flavor, service for the most part was fast, there was a small lull after getting drinks to being able to order, otherwise, it was quite good. I personally has the Texas 2 step burger with fries, a bit pricey, but really good, definitely would and will return. Thank you for a great meal.
Always a great experience at District 37! I have been here for lunch sitting at the bar with a friend as well as attending an industry happy hour. The food is great and the service is top tier. I will be coming back again and again!
We went here with some friends for the first time and loved it! Our server, Eric, was so nice and helpful and attentive (while simultaneously juggling multiple other tables). At Eric’s recommendation, we had the Tuscan White pizza and the smoked wings. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! And I absolutely never eat wings without sauce, but the flavor of these smoked wings is so good, I had no desire to put any sauces on them! (They have plenty of sauces to choose from, for those who want sauce, but I definitely suggest trying them without sauce first to get the smoky flavor.) We will absolutely be back to District 37! I know I’m gonna be craving that pizza and wings again in no time.
I can absolutely say they go above and beyond for their customers. Service was excellent and food was great. It was busy on New Years Eve but they still were able to make room for my family and I. I can and will recommend this restaurant on service alone…. But the food was also excellent and just solidified a great holiday experience. Thank you!
Best food i have had in upstate NY in the 2 years I have been here. I come from vegas where food service is a big thing . And I felt like I was home . Owner is on the floor greeting and talking with the customers . Food was 100% great I could not find 1 thing wrong .. Will be there many times again .. waiters are attentive, never had to wait for a refill . It was our first time and he gave us many options and explained what he liked about them.. great new place to go..
WOW! I was in town for a funeral and I really wanted to try out this new place as I had heard really good things about it. But good is no where near close enough to describe the food and service here. Tom Berrafato, one of the owners goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. His team are all friendly, courteous, and professional. There were five people in our group and all five of us ordered something different. The food was absolutely phenomenal ! Kudos to Tom and his team. I will definitely be coming back in August. Terry Teibert.
Been here a few times now and never disappointed. Love the atmosphere, food is awesome, and beer selection is top notch. This has become one of my top spots. Hard to decide between BBQ or pizza, I end of with pizza most the time.
There's nothing to complain about What a joy, wonderful experience From the greeting to the Decor, very thoughtful,in every part of the dining experience, well thought out, Service was professional, top notch, from the greeter,to your table server, excellent, Came to our table six times , from the drinks to the napkins to our dishes, fast and hot ! Owner sat by us , and he even asked us how our food was,! The food is amazing All positive, see photos of Stew pork sandwich, honey poppyseed coleslaw, corn pudding, chicken wings This is Worth the time, and money to Have a wonderful lunch or dinner!
My fiancé and I stopped in for a late lunch after visiting escape city. We try out restaurants kinda randomly always excited to find a new spot. From the second we walked in it was a great experience. Everyone was so friendly including the owner who was working amongst the staff. He was being a team player and had a hands on role in making sure things ran smoothly. It was very busy but we were seated and served promptly. We got the pimento chicken sandwich and the district burger (the waitress’s recommendation) and it was the best burger I have had in my life. The chicken sandwich was hot tender and seasoned perfectly. There a wide variety of house made sauces on the table as well to jazz things up how you like It was very clean and welcoming the entire time. For drinks we got the resurgence blueberry pie sour and the district 37 Pilsner. Absolutely everything was fantastic. It’s too bad this place is just a little far away but we will be making the drive to come back and try some of their smoked meat platters and their pizza. Whether this place is near you or not absolutely go check it out they are doing some special kind of sorcery in that kitchen
My family and I took our grandma here last night to celebrate her 85th birthday, we reserved an igloo. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The whole staff was amazing and truly helped our grandmother feel celebrated! To top it off the food was Delicious! We will all be back!!
A bit noisy but the atmosphere and food quality add significantly to the NT vibe. Can the area support one more restaurant? Clearly, yes. this kind, of this caliber. Wait staff was super friendly and pretty attentive. Lots of TVs if you’re into sports big bar really nice patio. I recommend the two meat combo. Wish I had taken a picture. Brisket was lean. Sides were scrumptious. Be amazing if the fries were handcut lol. Been here three times. Will definitely keep it in the rotation.
We were there with a wedding party, 20 people and the thing I found most impressive was that we all got our food at the same time. The food was awesome, service was so good and friendly. We had a couple questions about the history of the area. Kevin, the owner/manager came right out and talked with us. This was my first time there, we will return and try out the igloo experience.
We love eating in the igloos! A little private party and full menu available! We have twin 2.5 year olds and haven't been inside a restaurant for over a year, due to their random and possible whining and crying. So the igloo works perfect for us. The service is quick and great too!
Wings were great, Apple walnut salad was amazing!! BBQ 7 out of 10, had brisket, turkey and Mac (after living in St Louis for 7 years had to find great bbq in NY) I would definitely go here for BBQ again but want to be honest seeing millions of people have seen my reviews, no jab at the business. Overall great atmosphere and awesome place to watch the Bills play.
My friends and I had drinks and dinner here. Jack was our server and he was fantastic! He made our night more enjoyable. Jack was friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food was delicious from the wings, pizza, burgers, salads and brussel sprouts were all wonderful. One of the owners joined us for a few minutes which was very nice. We will definitely be back and will ask for JACK to serve us!
My husband and I visited last night, before a show over at Riviera Theatre. We're from Rochester, so hadn't been here before, but were just looking for something nearby. I worked in restaurants for 12 years, back when there still was 'service'. So often nowadays no one even tries to provide quality service. We enjoy dining out often, so this was a real privilege to have such a great experience. We sat at the bar and staff was friendly, attentive, informative, and patient. I watched everyone interact and work as a team throughout the restaurant; was just so refreshing to see! We had nachos and two pizzas - food was absolutely delish. So just wanted to pass along a positive review, since everyone is so hell bent on complaining these days. Let your team know to keep up the great work!
Great beer and drink selection! Food is great. I had the smoked wings tossed on blackberry chipotle sauce and fried pickle spears. Both were the best I have ever had! Waitresses and owner were super nice and caring. Will definitely go back again.
Ordered a pick-up order of bang bang shrimp, pimento mac & cheese and cornbread. Staff was super friendly. All the food is perfect. Even in a takeout container, the breading of the shrimp is crispy and perfectly cooked. The pimento mac has great flavor and is incredibly rich & creamy. And the cornbread is moist and fluffy. Overall a 10/10
First off. I apologize for no photos my wife brought me home take out after she dined in. She brought home brisket Birria eggrolls. Pimento Mac and beans. For the day after the food tasted phenomenal. Brisket was tender juicy flavored very well. The pimento Mac had some good heat. Beans were sweet. The corn bread even day after was soft and delicious. The Birria egg rolls were delicious had some jalapeño inside. The dipping sauce was very good. Reminded me of the campfire sauce at Red Robin. Thank you for great food. I’ll add photos when I come in person to eat. Edit*** 12/16 ordered the hot honey Detroit pizza. Amazing One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, and I’ve had over 100 different pizzas now. Crunchy. Savory. Full flavored. Yum!!
Working in the area, I was excited to see the ongoing construction and progress, as District 37 Taphouse sprung to life. It's located right at the intersection of Sweeney & Main, along the canal. Walking in the front door, we were promptly greeted by the hostess. We we seated at a patio table (as requested). The inside is larger than expected and has plenty of seating. There is a bar area as well. Roll-up doors help bring the outside to the inside on a nice warm day. It is warm and inviting with a cool vibe. There was an abundance of staff, so service was great. All of the staff were pleasant. Based on reviews, we wanted to try the smoked BBQ wings and they didn't disappoint. The basket of fries was large and they were good. The drink menu contained featured cocktails along with a bourbon flight and a nice selection of beer and wine too. It's a nice spot in an area that has seen some positive growth and revitalization over the years. Next time we will boat and dock right near by (the other side of Sweeney). We wish them well and look forward to a future visit!
Had a great experience at District 37 Kitchen Restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish, and the food was delicious and well prepared. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, but the staff handled the crowd well and everything moved along smoothly. The atmosphere was lively and comfortable, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, a very solid spot that we’d be happy to visit again.
This place is amazing! Great prices and delicious food. One of the best burgers I have ever had, hands down. The owner was also so warm and friendly; a reason in itself that I’ll be back. Highly recommend!
Lively bar with great cocktails and plenty of really good options on-tap. Highly recommend the crispy brussel sprout appetizer with Thai chili sauce. The loaded nachos were amazing! An avalanche of goodness. Next came the blackened Mahi sandwich, flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and a chicken Caesar salad that was pretty tasty, as well. Definitely stop in if you have the opportunity!
We have been to District 37 several times and are always pleased with the service, food and the atmosphere. Our latest visit was in the igloos and we weren’t sure what to expect but we had so much fun and our service was amazing! I would highly recommend if you can get a reservation try it! My favorite is the Southern Salad with chicken and my husband loves the burgers and pizza. Adult beverages are always made to perfection.
We made reservations in the igloo and what a fun experience it was. It was 20 degrees outside but nice and toasty with blowing heat inside. Big enough to fit our table of eight comfortably! You get one hour and forty five minutes for the meal but we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and food! spare The waitress took great care of us by being very attentive to our needs during the whole meal. The food was delicious with generous proportions. We got a variety of appetizers to share, the Burrato and Tomato is a must try! Recommend 5/5 to go enjoy the experience.
We did an igloo dinner in December! There were two heaters and a Bluetooth speaker to connect to so we could play our own music! The food and drinks were delicious and tasty. The bourbon selection contained name of my go-to's, so I pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly, attentive, patient, and thorough. They took the time to split our bill, and made corrections quickly and accurately. I would definitely recommend this experience! So much fun!
I don’t leave reviews often, but we had such a phenomenal experience, I just had to. The picture of the Smokehouse Rib sandwich with the garlic pesto aioli to dip the fries in speaks for itself. I’m not sure what I was more impressed with, the food or the service!! Quality food makes a restaurant good, but quality staff on top of that is what makes a restaurant great. This was one of the best meals and dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Hats off to the kitchen, and our server Ryan! This will become a regular spot of ours.
This was my second time coming to District 37. This time with my fiancé, and a friend. The food is SO good! My fiancé got the nachos and they tasted great. You just have to know in advance that they are massive. He ate half of it and had a mostly full box of leftovers. Both my fiance and friend had a burger and they enjoyed the bread and how it was cooked. Juicy with a lot of flavor. I had the apple pecan salad and it had great balance of veggies and dressing. Nothing was soaking or swimming dressing. Loved the candied pecans!! And the size of the salad was just right. The Thai Brussel Sprouts are awesome, the added mint is a great compliment to the Thai sauce. Other positives to the restaurant: -love the heat panels on the patio -the wide selection of on tap beer looked great (didn't try any this time) -the space is very clean The only critiques we had were the water (with and without ice) had a metallic taste to it. I asked the waitress if it was filtered and she said no. It was just a little strange to us. And I ordered a side of ranch dressing for my salad, which was an additional $2.00 (I am guessing they charged me because I had both the apple cider dressing and the ranch, but I thought $2.00 was a little expensive). We highly recommend this place!!!
Stopped in here while traveling for work. Atmosphere was a bit noisy but expedite for a tap house. The food was great. I had the texas burger and it was cooked perfectly. The BBQ sauce wasn't over powering and the onions were crispy. We also got the Cuban Cigars appetizer. This was interesting and I'm not sure how I felt about it. It was god, but interesting, worth a try if you like bacon. All in all, I will probably be back, mostly because the pizza looked amazing and i want to try it.
Wow, what a cool place. I got a smoked turkey club and my hubby got smoked wings. We also ordered fried pickles to share. Everything was great. They also have multiple sauces on the table which were fun to try. The service was great and the prices really reasonable. Definitely will return.
Outstanding all around! The food is loaded with Big flavor! Awesome restaurant this place is such a homeowner. The smoked bourbon peach wings were amazing. The best I've ever experienced. Big, loaded with flavor. The blue cheese dip might have been house made. Extremely tasty. I mean wow! The Chipotle baked beans were delicious. Very, very good. For my first experience with Detroit style pizza I'll say it was delicious especially the top and edges. By style or type it's a bit thick. What stuck me was it had multiple flavors. Very fresh. The sauce was special. District 37 is incredible. Top 5 restaurant in Western New York! Check out the stunning interior. Wood beamed ceiling. Really cool bar. Very friendly service. Busy as all hell. Get there early. 37 is an experience!
Great place with a combination of pizza and BBQ! The Chicago style pizza was amazing! Tons of different options for pizza toppings! We also tried the BBQ which they smoke in house everyday! All of the food was amazing! Great atmosphere with garage doors and music! Will definitely go back!
Great place. Servers are super attentive, food has been good and a decent beer list. The only downside is a lack of parking. We've tried to eat here 3 times in the last week and couldn't find a spot anywhere near the place
A fun night out with the girls here. The Detroit style gluten free pizza was AMAZING. REALLY good, very close to regular dough. The wings were smoked, great taste but that odd color & consistency inside from being smoked. Nachos were good. A little pricey but nice ambiance. It gets really loud on weekend evenings. Service was good. They also have those outdoor plastic igloo huts you can reserve, at no extra charge, but I think the minimum party is 6-8 people(?). Would return.
Shared the mushroom truffle oil Detroit style pizza, for lunch. Was very good. The four-corner pie ($22.) was definitely an ample amount for two people. There were also a selection of sauces on the table you could add to your food. Didn't order dessert, but read they are made at a bakery in Lewiston, which was highly rated.
The location is amazing! Right on the water in Tonawanda,NY! Huge covered patio space! My personal favorite is the bar! U shaped...seating a lot of people! It was very busy...we were greeted by a friendly bartender who served us delicious expresso martinis! We decided to eat at the bar...it did not disappoint! We shared everything from the boom boom shrimp, brisket egg rolls, brussel sprouts and apple pecan chicken salad! Delish! We will absolutely be back for a Sunday funday with good food, service andlocation! Welcome to the neighborhood District 37!
Sat at the bar a few Fridays ago. Bar area was huge and serviced by 3 very friendly bartenders. Enjoyed a flight of beer. Selection was good. Ordered ribs & brisket. Food was very good but a little on the chewy side. They had a selection of sauces to put on it & those were excellent. The star was some sort of corn pudding. It was so good I'd go back for that. They're right on the canal so I'll have to come back during nicer weather. Atmosphere was great and the dining area was huge. On the way out someone asked me how everything was. It ended up being the owner. Told him food & service was great.
A well oiled machine in spite of lazy management. District's food was actually a little better than what I expected for your average modern American brew house. I had the Barrata app which was huge and plenty for lunch. Very fresh and tasty. I regretted not getting pizza because it's Detroit style and every one that passed me look amazing! My server, Jack, however was the star of the show! You couldn't manufacturer a better server! He was attentive w. out being overbearing. Friendly but not fake. Crazy efficient and thought of everything. I thought it was strange at first when he didn't ask me about my food the first few times he passed me until he did ask and I realized he had waited until I didn't have a bite in my mouth. Idk where this guy came from but All-Star! In fact all of the servers seemed to be non-stop in and out of the kitchen which seems to pump out well presented food at an insane speed. I heard several tables get their food and mention how fast it was. What I don't understand is how this is all possible with the two managers standing in one place between the kitchen doors almost my ENTIRE meal chatting and watching the games on the bar TVs. I never saw them walk around and ask anyone about their experience. I did see them stop my server when he had a tray of 8 full glasses for some stupid reason. I have worked in restaurants enough and have never seen managers that literally did NOTHING while their staff just killed it!
Upon walking in, the atmosphere is live and nice and everyone having a good time.. they def have the service and atmosphere down pact but the food was like not all the way there like i was expecting.. the pretzel stick appetizer was amazing we loved it.. the french fries were good quality as well. The detroit pizza was def lacking cook.. mine was kinda undercooked and didnt hit the spot like i wanted at all.. the smoked wings were good but not tender enough for being smoked.. the sauces for all the smoked meats were great for sure.. the last thing we had was the mac and cheese, it was horrible.. looks gourmet but in reality tasted like straight up velveeta and shells from the grocery store it was horrible.. even for a kid. I want to come back to try other things because you can tell that when on point the foods gotta be good.. but the pizza did not make me a believer which is what lead me there in the first place.
First time at D37. The food was tasty. We ordered birria egg rolls; they were good, but one half of the egg roll was a hallow shell? The Detroit style pizza had nice and airy dough, like focaccia. However, one side of the crust was burnt. 😕 We enjoyed some ribs with an array of delicious sauces, baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. We're looking forward to tasting their burgers next time.
Bumping place! Walked in on a Friday night in September at dinner time and there were 27 parties ahead of us. We luckily secured a shot at the bar. Eventually were seated. Food was pretty good, we thought the mushroom pizza had red sauce on it when we ordered it so we were let down a bit. But I think with red sauce it would have been really good. Appreciated the desserts from a the Village Bake Shoppe
Started out with the Cuban Cigars. They were good but all 3 of us who shared agreed that they were incredibly dry and absolutely need the sauce. Our party of 8 enjoyed our drinks and meals with the exception that one female in our group complained that her water tasted strongly of soap, so I tried it and it did indeed. It was undrinkable - bad. Told the server (who was a good server) but she seemed indifferent and basically ignored that feedback. One person in our party, a child, can’t eat cheese, and they brought out her sliders with cheese on it, even though we specified. The poor girl sat there eating fries, we were almost all done by the time she got her refire. My burger was good but only after I added salt and pepper, otherwise, even with the bacon jam, onions etc on it, it was so bland. I should clarify I am not one of those people who salts their food (I often add a dash of pepper). I got it pink and it was cooked perfectly, just not seasoned, at all. The bacon jam was good! Dining experience: where we sat, we saw a heavy amount of staff just kind of hanging around our table (right near the kitchen). It was a bit awkward, lots of meandering. However, it’s a nice spot, the parking kinda stinks, the intersection seems extremely dangerous. The prices are a little high but expected for the canal front area, I suppose. It’s a good addition and better than dockside. Remington is in a different league. A welcomed pub style! Hope it continues to get business!
I like the atmosphere and the staff were really accommodating. Food was good, but wings could have been cooked longer. They were a bit rubbery. Bbq sauces are tasty, just a little spicy. I've enjoyed the fries, sweet potato fries, and bang bang shrimp.
Great food! We ordered the double meat platter and apple pecan salad. The smoked turkey was flavorful and the ribs were pretty good. They have a variety of BBQ sauces on the tables for you to use and try. The apple pecan salad was really good, great vinaigrette dressing. The corn pudding and cornbread are also very good. They messed up and brought the wrong order but they fixed it quickly. Overall the food was really good but we sat on the patio and we had a very difficult time due to the mass amount of bees they have floating around the patio. Otherwise the food and service were really good, we just had a hard time with the bees. As long as you sit inside, you should have a great dining experience.
I’d like to start by saying the atmosphere is excellent, and our waiter was fantastic. My husband and I ordered Birria egg rolls, we both had the half pound brisket with Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries (we had a lot of leftovers to take home.) The Birria egg rolls were alright- but it’s not classic Birria at all lol. The brisket was absolutely terrible, it was cold and dry. No smoke ring, no seasoning, definitely subpar. The Mac and cheese was very flavorful and I enjoyed it although it’s not my favorite pasta choice (shells) and the sweet potato fries were decent. The meal we each got came with cornbread, sweet and spicy pickles, and pickled red onions. The pickles were FANTASTIC as well as the pickled onions. The cornbread was quite dry. All of this being said, I will update my rating after we come back and try something other than BBQ. I realize as an avid meat smoker, that smoked meats are no easy feat.
Oh boy, we were excited to give this a try because we love supporting local. We were beyond disappointed. We were really hoping this would be something new and unique yet it just fits the bill for the all the same spots popping up everywhere. Overpriced food, a book of craft beers/drinks and a mediocre experience. It looks the same as everywhere else on the inside too. It’s a mini Woodcock brewery lol. We ordered two entrees and my boyfriend requested no pickle, it came out with 3 pickles, 2 on the sandwich and one on the side. Like that’s a really simple request to not follow especially when we’re paying $22 for a burger that also comes with no lettuce, no tomato, no onion, literally no toppings. I got a veggie burger for $22.00 with cold, unsalted fries and a patty that crumbled when you picked up and literally not a thing more. We WANT to support local, we WANTED to love it, but you need to give people soemthing to love. We’ll stick to little old school places because the minimal $20.00 entrees and hip craft beer places popping up all over are just so not worth the time and money! Someone bring something unique to the Tonawanda’s, we’re in desperate need of it! But since I hate not adding anything postive because I’m trying really hard to, the sirracha bbq sauce is really good! There’s that!
Pretty sad to share this because I want to love this place, I really do. Today, I ordered the Texas Two Step burger and pickle fries while my husband got the sunrise sizzler to go. I traveled 20 minutes to and 20 minutes from to get the food. Once I got home to eat it, the bacon on both mine and my husband’s burgers were not cooked (we had to cook the bacon before consuming our burgers). Contrary to the bacon not being cooked, my burger was ordered “no pink” and the bottom was burnt. To add to that, there was maybe a 1/4 tsp of bbq sauce on a Texas burger; which was also completely disappointing especially since they make their own bbq sauce. :( I will give credit where credit is due, the pickle fries were fantastic along with the avocado ranch sauce (I think that’s what keeps me wanting to like District 37). Last time we ordered to go, my husband got a burger with no bun when the receipt said no mayo. When I called and spoke to the owner or manager (I can’t recall) he did try to justify the kitchens mistake but also kindly compensated the burger. Overall, I understand the establishment is always pretty busy, it just always seems like the food is made rushed. The fries are always luke warm like they made a huge batch of fries and portioned them before the meals were ready. And they are unseasoned. The owner or manager was standing by the door and thanked me for my business which was very much appreciated. I wish they took as much time to make the food properly as they did being so kind and courteous. I still would come back for the pickles fries. Pretty unbeatable.
We arrived around 7 pm and at first everything seemed fine. Then things slowly started to fall apart. It took an unusually long time for our food to arrive, long enough that I honestly thought they had forgotten about us. When the food finally came, it was delicious, so no complaints there. The problem was the environment. Little by little, it became extremely uncomfortable. Somehow everyone seated around us left at the same time, and although the restaurant was still busy overall, the entire section around our table suddenly emptied out. Then the staff started cleaning around us nonstop. I’m talking loud noises, dust, brushes, mops, while we were still eating. Four or five waitresses were circling our table, either cleaning or standing right beside us like they were waiting for us to finish. It genuinely felt like they wanted us to leave as quickly as possible, even though it was only 8 pm and the place was far from closing. I ended up rushing through my meal because I felt so uncomfortable, like the broom was about to sweep under my feet. To be fair, the food was good and the two girls at the entrance who greeted us were very kind. But everyone else was rude and dismissive, and the overall experience was honestly awful. If you’re not a local, I’d recommend choosing another restaurant.
Rude staff. Terrible. I’ve ever been so offended by a restaurant host in my life. Waited over 2 hours for a table and sat at the bar to wait, when got the text table was ready went to host stand and man working accused me of canceling my reservation. When I explained we didn’t cancel it and was wondering why he quickly dismissed me telling me “their system just doesn’t auto cancel reservations” I will never return
The service and atmosphere was great. No issues with that. Drinks and beer selection was great. The problem is the food. The ribs were terrible. They were not smoked, texture was rubbery, and no seasoning. Honestly, they felt microwaved and fake. No char or anything. No seasoning at all. Maybe they were boiled? The brisket had 0 smoke ring and very dry. The “pull” was bad. For a restaurant with BBQ on the menu. I would give the food a D-.
The waitress was very nice and attentive, which definitely helped the overall experience. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty underwhelming. We ordered the smoked wings, but they tasted more like flash-fried wings — crispy, but with little to no smoke flavor. The Brussels sprouts were decent and one of the better items. The pizza crust was actually very good; however, the toppings fell flat. It was supposed to be a steak-style pizza, but it lacked flavor and was overall pretty lackluster. The burger was just okay. It was ordered well-done but came out a bit burnt, which seems to happen often when places don’t quite know how to cook a well-done burger without burning it. The fries were just fries — nothing memorable. The birria egg rolls were very greasy and had little to no meat inside, which was disappointing. We also tried the brisket, which did not seem smoked and lacked the seasoned bark you’d expect from a properly prepared brisket. The beans were bland and unremarkable, and the coleslaw was watery with an overpowering mayonnaise taste. Overall, it’s a cool spot with a nice vibe and good service, but the food alone isn’t worth coming back for. The atmosphere was enjoyable — the food just didn’t deliver.
