We came in on a Monday evening and sat right down. Our server was Whitney who was fantastic. Drink and beer selection was great. Although no draft was kind of surprising. The food came out fast and hot and was delicious!!! We had burgers wings quesadillas and two kinds of wraps. We would highly recommend if the dive bar scene is for you.

Went here for dinner had their cheese curds ,which were the best I've had anywhere. My husband had the coconut shrimp which was fantastic....staff was so nice. Plus there was a local musician played....Rick Cannon, who did amazing

My wife and I truly enjoyed our dining experience at Duck Dive Bar and Grill. She had the ahi tuna grove bowl and I had the fish tacos. As is normal for us as a couple, we sample what each other gets at a restaurant. Both of our meals were delicious. It is worth noting, that we were there on the evening after Hurricane Isaias hit. The storm damaged some of their food storage and refrigeration, so their menu was somewhat limited. However, we truly enjoyed our meals. We loved the atmosphere of the place, which included live music. The service was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place when you are in Cherry Grove Beach.

Omg!!! Went on Saturday drive just because it was nice out. Drove right by and was like wait! This is where we should have lunch! Turned around..... not sorry. So delicious. Fish tacos all around..... Morgan our waitress was great. Will be back!

Duck Dive is FAN-tastic! Such a great place with tons of character, and most importantly, the food is amazing! The Grove Bowls are unreal, and could feed two people easily. We had wings (outstanding) and the fried zucchini is perfect as well. Congrats to the owners who are definitely doing something right. So glad we stopped in. 100% recommend.

Great casual “dive” bar with an awesome cheeseburger - best we’ve had . Could have split , hot fries , good HHour and super friendly service as relative newby. Came for burger night ( get there early ! ] but wouldn’t have been disappointed had we eaten here at regular price. Nice to have another place ( especially in off season ) in Cherry Grove. Need to go back and try their wings.

We were on our way to take my family to the airport and trying to get dinner, but everywhere we called had a 1.5 hour wait and we didn’t have that kind of time. I called the Duck Dive and they had a 4 top open. Upon arrival we were unsure but hungry so we went for it. The service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing! I had a steak bowl and my cousin had a chicken bowl, the men had Paninis and we all agreed, it was so good! My cousin said you could tell the cook cared about his food and while we aren’t in the area much, if I find myself there, I’ll not hesitate again! Thank you for a wonderful meal and working within our time constraints.

Nice atmosphere, I like simple local bars and that's Duck Dive. Owners are very nice and welcoming. The lunch special was a patty melt panini which my wife and I both had. We both thought it awesome. Highly recommend.

Such a great place! We came on a Saturday night to listen to some live music and it was my nephew's twelfth birthday. The owner was about to head out the door to go home and found out there was a birthday. He walked next door to find a cupcake and candles and it meant so much more than he knows! Will absolutely be back the next time we're in town

Do not overlook this spot!!! Tried it out on the recommendation of the front desk staff at our hotel, and boy are we glad we did! It doesn't look like much, but the cheese curds, burger, and chicken sandwich were all hits. Food was not fancy, but was fast, fresh, tasty, and properly prepared. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be a staple when we visit Cherry Grove!

loved this place. truly a dive, as the name says, but the food is excellent and the beer is cold. "best burger at the beach " is pretty accurate, but the grove bowls and the shrimp po boy are great too. our server was Gigi, who like us, originally hails from Ohio, and was just wonderful to talk to. next time I'm in Myrtle I'm definitely coming back.

This place popped up out of nowhere while we were on our way to a completely different happy hour. We are so very happy that we gave this joint a chance. The ahi tuna bowl was phenomenal, the beer is cold, and the outdoor seating is wonderful. Gigi was our waitress and she was so gracious and helpful. We loved everything about this place and will be back tomorrow!

It was my first time here. They are welcoming nice people here. Management and bartenders and wait staff are wonderful. The patrions that where there were very friendly. My kind of place. I had their burger and fries which hands down the best yet. Head to find a truly great burger. I will be back. They have bands there to which I also like. Honestly, THE BEST DIVE BAR IVE BEEN TO. The crowd is welcoming, the music is great, the service wonderful. Im not from myrtle but this place made it feel like home. 10/10 the food was quick and reasonably priced drinks were amazing. Gigi is a great waitress! Was my first time there, was greeted when I came in. The food was delicious, waitress was on top of everything, she checked on me multiple times but not too much. Atmosphere was relaxed and chill. Everyone talked to everyone. There was no strangers there even though it was my first time there. Would definitely be back for sure.

Had "the smash burger" - was delicious! Not a fan of fries, but they were soo good. Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. So good. Hubby said his burger was really good. Sat inside and admired the walls. Eclectic place. Outside seating as well. Service great. Some parking on-site, but you can park across the street as well, should have done that. Backing out and turning around was somewhat tricky.

They are right, Best burger on the beach. Also, best customer service and friendliest patrons. They are a loud crowd, like they haven’t seen their friend since probably lunch 😉 but they make you feel like you’re from “around here “ with handshakes and “hey, how ya doing’”. Great value for huge portions. As Guy F. would say, “this place is money”.

i absolutely loved this place. exactly the vibe i was looking for (beachy hole in the wall). the grove bowl was delicious (the leftovers were good cold the next day too). there was some good laid back live music when we went.

My husband and I both had the cheeseburger and we can honestly say they live up to their claim of best burger on the beach. The burgers and fries were both great. My husband also had margaritas and said they were excellent. One thing we didn't understand was that they had live music on the outside, but played other music so loudly on the inside that you couldn't hear the live entertainment. 🤷

The review said, best burgers. I was like right. But wait they did not disappoint. They were large, hand patties just the right amount of juice. The taste was heaven. The staff was awesome and very friendly. Best little gem we have found yet. Do yourself a favor and drop in. You will not be disappointed .We will return for the dinner menu, I can't wait.

Fantastic, let’s break this down people! The atmosphere-awesome. The inside bar area is spacious and comfortable. Good for buddies to enjoy after golfing or spending a day at the beach and equally as enjoyable for a couple passing through. The covered outside deck allows you to enjoy your food and drinks with that warm summer breeze blowing through those luscious locks. The food- excellent. Mark my words, this “dive bar” will be known for its street tacos. Steak, chicken, or shrimp you can’t go wrong. This bar has more than just some greasy finger foods. The drinks- let’s just say the bartenders are extremely generous when it comes to mixed drinks and shots. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Be sure to look out for drink specials. Overall, this place gets 5 stars, nicely done to the owners Mike and Tara.

I loved this place. We’ve been going out to eat and to happy hours almost everyday for the past few weeks, and this was one we visited several times. If I lived in the area, it would definitely be my local hangout. The staff are great and very friendly. They usually have live music. The food is good and reasonable. We finally tried their shaved ribeye panini and it was delicious. The fish tacos were also very tasty. I didn’t try the burgers but lots of customers were ordering them. I like the fact that it’s a small, locally owned place. It feels that way and was very friendly. When I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely visit again.

Authentic beach town bar. 2nd story deck with a bit of ocean view. Not a lot of parking, but parking is free. We had shrimp tacos that were tasty and loaded with fried shrimp. There was country music playing and there were two TVs on the deck with sports. We are definitely coming back. Thanks!

Good prices for food, even has specials 😋. Club sandwiches 🥪 are big and delicious. Staff was friendly and fast. Smaller venue but has seating available outside. Even got to park the motorcycle under the deck for shade 😎.

Great neighborhood hangout and community. Makes you feel like ‘part of the family’. Music events just about every night they are open! Burger is hands down the best in town, but all of the food is wonderful! Fun place full of locals, who were happy to make an out of towner feel welcome. My wife and I were looking for a place with live music and found Duck's dive. We walked up the steps to find a very small deck and even smaller inside bar area. It was very crowded, but this is when the locals helped us out by freeing up a table for us to sit out. It didn't stop there when a lady said what are you drinking again just a local who was being helpful. We enjoyed the grove bowls, one with rice, the other with rice. Both with ahi tuna. Very surprising coming from a bar kitchen, but would highly recommend. The music wasn't to our taste, but the evening was still good because of the food, drinks and friendly locals. If your in Myrtle Beach and looking for a local place give Ducks a try.

We were referred to Duck Dive Bar by their bartenders Jo Jo and Whitney. We generally go there when they are working. They take really good care of us when we come in. Drinks are cold and service is quick and friendly. Their smash burgers are FANTASTIC but only available on Thursdays. It has a small inside bar area but there is an outside patio which is covered and heated!! We will keep coming back!

If you are in North Myrtle Beach you should stop by this hidden gem and order the steak tips off of the appetizers list. Get them quick because once they run out they are out for the day. I had an order of these, mozzarella sticks and the ahi tuna fish tacos.

I don’t post reviews much, but this place is run by such quality owners that care, and it’s clear. So I told them I would post my experience. We’ve been coming down to Myrtle for sports for four years now, and we were introduced to Duck Dive a year or so ago, and now we wouldn’t miss it! We took a visit today, and since it was just the two of us (not a big group) we ponied up to the bar. It was from this vantage point that we really got to see the care the owners and employees put into their work! Whitney was running the bar, and she was handling it like a pro even when it was obvious she was getting slammed. My lovely partner was feeling stressed about ordering, and feeling out of place….not being a local…and Whitney could sense it. She let her know not to stress, and whenever she was ready, Whitney was ready to take the order….just next level awareness and care. Mike, one of the owners, was handling the grill, and while getting slammed with orders, he was still able to handle conversations from local patrons, annoying questions from me, and questions from staff. If you go, don’t miss out on the burger. The flattop is seasoned to perfection, so as Mike says “you can’t mess it up!” Although word from a very nice couple next to us who frequent the Duck Dive Bar multiple times a week said you can’t come without getting a bowl…they then proceeded to point out the brown bowls sitting at the kitchen. While I didn’t get one (we had already ordered our burgers), it amounted to what looked like a poke bowl, although this local patron usually gets steak instead of tuna…essentially rice as the base, carrots and lettuce, and protein of your choice topped with yum yum sauce. Next time duck dive, next time! Anyway, don’t miss out if you’re down anywhere close to Myrtle. It’s a little bit of a drive (aka, not in downtown Myrtle or North Myrtle) and not on the beach (or even that close), but it doesn’t matter. When you arrive, park across the street in the overflow parking! Thanks for the good memories, and keep crushing it Mike, Whitney, and the rest of the crew at this incredible place!

Where is the options for 6 stars.....DD is a great lil bar and restaurant and if you aint been there, you missing out. Mike, Tara and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure you have a great time at DD. This was my second visit and it was great, just like the first. I will always try to make a stop when I am in the area! Definitely no frills place. Family owned/run. Limited interior seating but there's a patio outside. Menu varies (especially off season) but staff is always friendly and helpful! Went basic today with chicken tendies but theyre famous for the smash burgers. Definitely stop in and say hi!

Great find on the north side of Myrtle beach. Seems to be a local spot. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us and our kids. We played music bingo and had a ton of fun. The wings were amazing. 10/10. A few people mentioned the burger being awesome. We are going to have to try that next time. We will definitely be back next year when we come back to Myrtle.

This was a solid dive bar to drop into for Happy Hour. The staff was super friendly. They did a great job of checking in with me to see if I needed another drink or if there was anything else that I needed. It has to be one of the most chill places in North Myrtle if I'm being honest. The food is also wonderful. I hope to return at some point in the future.

Stopped by for lunch before I left Myrtle Beach. Pleasantly surprised! The menu was dirt cheap especially for the area. The pictures don't do it justice but the burger was really good. Would prefer fries over chips. My waitress was friendly and quick with my order. Another lady provided a refill as well and she was pleasant. I was the only person outside but it's a nice area. Would be a great place to hangout with people at night. I look forward to returning soon!

The shaved ribeye panini and smash burger are a must try (I added extra onions) The corn beef egg rolls should always be on the menu, it was delish on St. Patrick’s Day. Love this place.

Great little spot, climb the stairs and sit in the tent area and enjoy the live music when available. Great singer there when we visited on a Wednesday night. Happy Hour deals too. Coconut shrimp, house wines part of the deals. Not a lot of room inside or outside here but it is a fun spot up on the deck. Must try the burgers we heard. Waitress was amazing too.

Great place to stop and check out in North Myrtle. The owners are so nice and beyond helpful! All of the food we got was absolutely amazing! You have to try the Ahi Tuna nachos, the chips are like wantons and they are delish! The wraps, bowls and smash burgers are also amazing! You can’t go wrong here! And had drinks and told the bar tender to make us something sweet and she did not disappoint. The food filled me up and will go back anytime I have the chance.

Tiny little patio where most tables were reserved for their regulars. We (2 of us)were told if we sat at the only open table for 4 that if anyone else came in she would seat them at our table! We've never experienced that before. The cheeseburger was ok. It's right on the road so unless you enjoy traffic for ambiance skip the patio. We didn't go inside so I can't say anything about that.

The food here is really good and tasty, and it has a good atmosphere. (I love the shaved ribeye panini and live music.) The service is solid to mediocre. But I absolutely wouldn't bother with trying to order take-out or delivery (Uber Eats and etc.) We've tried both several times, and it's rarely worked out. Usually, we end up hungry and frustrated. According to their employees, they have a small kitchen that has trouble accommodating take-out and delivery orders, but I'll also add that they have trouble processing payments through Uber Eats (during the off-season) and just cancel orders and refuse to talk or explain to the customer. So really, if you want to eat their food (that's really good), you should just go to the restaurant/bar. That's the limit of their ability at this time. Again, the food and atmosphere is great to good, but the service and capability for a take-out or delivery order is mediocre to really bad.

Awesome burgers. Relax with an adult beverage because your burgers is cooked as ordered and delivered piping hot. After about the 4th attempt in 3 weeks to return I decided I needed to Change this post. Unless you are considered "a regular" good luck at being seated. The owner and daughter are awesome and polite but not so for their rude waitress. She seems to love to tell you no. No seats no one leaving and if you should get seated no to what you want on your burger. On an empty day without regulars or this waitress the food is still great

Who doesn’t carry tartar sauce and/or cocktail sauce? Honestly I wouldn’t have a problem if they had told me before I ordered and waited, but they didn’t. I sat for 25 minutes and when the food arrived they told me they don’t carry either.

Ordered two beers. Pretty pricey towards the $6.50 range. Bartender nice enough. "Dive" is in the name and it is one. Small interior bar area with few seats. Maybe the locals love it, but the DJ blaring 2 seconds of a song and then people at the bar yelling out the answer to "Name that Tune" was kinda irritating in such a small spot. Fortunately there was an outside deck so we hung out there. Nothing really to experience or look at except the road below and hanging lights (some working, some not.) Most frustrating thing was a male employee was cleaning up and tried to toss some drinks into a trash bin behind me and missed. When the drink hit the trash can it sloshed someone's remaining drink all over the back of my head and back of my shirt. No apology, nothing. There was no way he could have not seen what happened. I was so upset I just kept it to myself. I didn't want to make a scene. We left and went to another bar down the street.

Very disappointed...My experience was extremely upsetting. The wings at this place were recommended so we traveled almost 50 minutes one day we all got off work early just after lunch. We got there at 3:10 pm and was ready to eat a ton of wings. However, when the server came over and we started to order our drinks, we asked about the wing flavors, but she stated that, "We are not serving wings at the moment. If dive bar is in your name, you're not a dive bar. Out of many items (their in house sauce wasn't available, no tortillas, etc. because the owner was tired from golfing all day), small dated interior with a single bathroom, medicare bar food staples. Wildly dated and in need of repairs, and calling yourself a dive isn't an excuse for a tarp over the 6 deck tables duct taped on. Parking serves maybe 4 cars otherwise you're going to public parking and walking. Recommendation: If it's a random hour off peak times and your right there, grab a drink and some bar food! 99% of the time you're better off and most places within 2 miles.

I was excited to try this place. It was crowded understandably and when my group of 9 asked if we needed to be on a waitlist for seating I was met with an attitude and the lady stated “do you see any tables empty”. After that was when I asked about a wait list and was hatefully told again that she “didn’t have any tables “ so we left. My son was SO mad at the way I was spoken to. I was so disappointed. I was looking forward to trying it.

This place had great coconut shrimps I craved for a while. We finally went. First attempt failed. People were standing waiting to get in...finally we got in week ago at 7pm just to find out they are OUT OF ALL FOOD! Wow...I would send someone to nearest Seafood market to get food to keep people happy and to keep making $$$, but no...of well. We found new favorite place thank to that experience.

First time we turned an walked out tonight and we always spend over $100 when we visit. We arrived at 4:45 with a party of 8 for an early dinner. Were told that they could not seat us due to reservations being made on their social media page 🤔 didn't know that was an option. We visit about every 3 months and we were just there 30 days ago. So if you are not local don't bother, you are not welcome.
