This place is excellent for anyone looking for a delicious, affordable, nourishingly balanced meal in a hurry. The poke bowls are prepared quickly and are pretty tasty. The interier is a tad small as it comfortably seats 8 but I adore the level of intimacy it promotes. Vegan options are available as you can exchange any protein for a chickpea mash with Tofu.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I was a bit hesitant to try out a new poke bowl place but the food is AMAZING and SCRUPULOUS!!! They are a small own business and for $15 for a poke bowl, I think it’s worth it considering that they are located uptown of manhattan. The aesthetic of the place is also great, it’s small and quiet. Service was super fast, I sat down for like 2 minutes and my food was here. Coming back again.

I ordered a small bowl, and it tasted very delicious. It was my first time order there, I did not know what to get. I tried the build your own and chose the ingredients that I like. I was surprised that they tasted well mixing together. I got both of their mushrooms, two types of their seaweeds, salmon, green scallions, diced mango, white rice, and Hawaiian sauce. I definitely will recommend to my friends who like sushi and sashimi type of food.

Uptown Poke has a very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the ingredients are fresh. However, I was disappointed with the poke bowl itself. It had too many ingredients that did not align with the traditional poke standards. The spicy tuna was mashed like potato puree instead of being in cubes, the mango was very hard like raw potato, and the rice was not tasty. Despite the high ratings, I did not enjoy my meal and only ate a little bit. While some people might like this place, it wasn't for me. For those who appreciate authentic and delicious poke bowls, I do not recommend it.

This was my first poke bowl ever. The food was good, but the sauces were gross and I ended up with just soy sauce. I ended up only eating about half because the sauce still wasn’t correct for this type of food. My daughter gets poke bowls all the time and she said the sauce options and amount of veggies options were very minimal for a poke bowl restaurant. The staff were very nice, the restaurant and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the food was made fast and just as we had ordered it.

The fish is super fresh and the rice warmed to perfection. I especially love the Salmon Sunrise and the Tuna Special. I come every week now! Very speedy service too which I love.

I was very curious to try this for its vegan options. It’s really nice to be able to select everything you want for a bowl. I think they could offer a little more in the way of grains besides rice and quinoa. This is just about the healthiest fast meal you can find. But it was a bit bland, and disappointing. I chose to eat in. And what I didn’t know was that most of the ingredients in my bowl were very cold. So what I received was a bowl of chilled food with warm rice on the bottom. I didn’t even think to ask to heat it up, and they didn’t offer that as an option. I think they should. I also think you could get a lot more out of this menu exploring the seafood options.

Been usually enjoying eating here but today i got served a hard, un ripe avocado on my meal. You would easily see this as you are prepping my order. Waste of money — at least say something like you are out and replace it with something.

I really wanted to like this place but it was so disappointing for one simple reason! The sauce was poured over the rice, instead of mixed in with the fish. So the rice was much too salty. There wasn’t a single bite of plain white rice in the bowl because it was drenched in sauce. It made it very difficult to eat because the rice was so overpowering. Think of the SA:volume ratio of the little grains of rice and imagine how salty / saucy it gets!! I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the ingredients themselves are fresh and would make a beautiful meal if the bowl were prepared better. Also I’m not sure if it’s because it was drenched in sauce, but the rice tasted like sushi rice? which is kinda wack for poke

I really wanted to like this place but the amount of fish they put in my bowl is minimal at best. 5 pieces of tuna and 7 pieces of salmon for about $18. Ridiculous. The entire bowl was also drenched in sauce, way too salty and dense.
