Well, firstly im not a fancy guy. Im perfectly comfortable just grilling up some steaks. That being said i was treated to this place for a birthday dinner from some dear loved ones. I honestly had no idea what to expect, and i was VERY impressed. I awesomely diverse and exquisite menu with things ive never even heard of on it. It was by far the best restaurant ive ever been to in tucson. Not only was the food PERFECTLY prepared but it was artfully displayed on the plates. The portions were decent and everything tasted so good i ate everything including all the veggies. (im not really a veggie guy) It was a real treat. The deserts were INSANELY good. Rich but not overly sweet, very well made. I will not soon forget this place. If you want to treat someone to a 5 star dinner i would highly recommend this place. 😉👍🏻
We were looking for a new non-chain restaurant to have lunch today. To our amazement, this restaurant was fantastic & our new favorite! The service was excellent (thank you Tiana), the food was beyond exceptional! I am adding photos of our meals, Veal w/lemon caper sauce & risotto & Sea of Cortez Sea Bass w/ risotto. We even had Creme Brûlée that was awesome. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed!!
Fantastic food, great new location. Incredible patio perfect for viewing the beautiful today sunsets. Nightly specials longer than the menu, something for everyone. You cannot go won't with their steak, veal, lamb or seafood. Highly recommend the streamed muscles. A family favorite. Pricy, but well worth it, and very friendly service.
My husband had the fresh halibut and I had the rack of lamb! We started with the mushroom soup which was out of this world! When the plates arrived, what an amazing presentation. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection (medium rare),the plate was filled with roasted garlic, mashed potatoes and a wonderful assortment of root vegetables with a delicious hearty meat sauce 😋 My husband said it was the best fish dinner he's had in a long time! The staff made you feel instantly at home and their expertise on the menu choices was impressive. Their timing and attention was seemless. The atmosphere was properly busy with a bar and seating inside and out. We also noticed some of the staff acknowledging regular patrons.. A good sign!!! I highly recommend eating at Wild Garlic Grill in Tucson where the food is fantastic and the service is spot on!!!
Wild Garlic is one of our favorite places to come to. We especially like to come for our anniversary as they tend to make it feel special. I had the fois gras and it was like butter. For dinner I had the half duck and it was arguably the best duck I've ever had. I still cannot get over the peach apricot orange sauce that was with it. Of course the potatoes and spinach were delicious sides. For dessert we had the lemon cake and it was so moist and not overly lemony. Anyway, if you are looking for a fine dining experience with friendly staff and amazing food, this is your place.
2022. My review below is from awhile ago. We just went back last week and now I changed my review to 5 big stars! 2021. Wish I could give it a 5 star review because it is so great on so many levels: -Great food ! Lobster ciopinno, chicken risotto, etc. -amazing bar with fun drink specials. -terrific service (Anthony). -nice indoor and outdoor vibe. ....but they missed the mark by letting other patrons bring in dogs ( big ones) onto the outdoor patio which I do not like to sit next to, when I am eating in a nice restaurant. They only barked a little but really? That’s a big turn off. Also, they did not have any extra spice for me to dial up my entree. No red chili pepper, no big bottle of Tabasco, or Tapatio or Chulula, etc. all they had were tiny tiny bottles of Tabasco that were more work then the effort was worth. It was like an airplane size bottle. C’mon,,, this is a great place to eat, get some decent sides of hot spices for those of us who like the heat! Hopefully they read this and make these minor tweaks so we can give them another try and light up a 5 star review next time. VictorB
What a great dining experience! Great food, good service and a wonderful patio. Server knows when to wait and let a couple talk or provide helpful comments at the right time. I really appreciate the staff being so interested in the food they are serving and knowing what was in it. They really provided an experience not just a meal.
From start to finish everything was absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable, Tony took such good care of us. The food, OMG the food! There are no words for how unbelievably delicious this food was. We got the salmon and the meatloaf both were divine! Melt in your mouth, colorful, fresh, cooked to perfection and just amazing. We will definitely be back.
So this place was amazing. Our server Emilie was very good and had the specials memorized. We ate outside on the patio and they had quite a few patio heaters so it was comfortable. The food was really good in terms of quality, price and it was presented really nice. When we were done, the staff boxed up our food. Emilie asked us if we were celebrating any special occasions, we told her no but had mentioned that we had went to another place close my for my birthday and it ended up not being very good and that we should have come there. She brought us a slice of cheesecake that was plated as if it was my birthday. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Great staff, awesome menu, the quality of the food for the price was spot on.
Visited here on during a short trip to Tucson. SO GLAD we did. Starters -perfect..Drinks were flavorful and not over priced. Stuffed Salmon was cooked perfectly, the steak as well. I BELIEVE my son had Bison and loved it..could have been buffalo, i forget, but whichever it was, he said it was amazing. Desserts were very good too! Price was very reasonable and MUCH cheaper than Los Angeles fine dining. Will absolutely be back on our next visit to Tucson! (And thanks for being safe during COVID. This place was practicing distancing and all safety precautions! THANKS! )
Outstanding food and service! Ordered wedge salad , Ribs, sea bass, chicken with risotto, and scallops. All were amazing. This place is not inexpensive but it is one of the few places worth it. Your portions are huge as always and you will be taking some home. Dessert was chocolate cake and cheesecake both were just as amazing. This is one of the top best restaurants in Tucson! Chef Steve Schultz should have his own coking show!
Beautiful restaurant in the foothills, food is $$$$ but definitely worth it for a fancy night out. We ordered the mussels appetizers, Scottish stuffed salmon, and the rack of lamb dish. The appetizers is delicious, get extra bread to sop up all of that yummy sauce. The portions used to be bigger and we did have quite a few empty shells, but it was so delicious we didn't complain. The mains come in HUGE portions and the salmon is the best I've ever tasted. My husband ordered this dish because im not a big fish person, but this had me wishing I ordered the whole plate to myself. The fish was tender and melted in your mouth. The vegetables were the perfect compliment to the rich salmon and every bite was heaven. I ordered the pistachio crusted rack of lamb. The meat was a perfect medium with great flavor. I loved the side of spinach and mashed potatoes that was fluffy and buttery. The lamb was sliced in different thicknesses which was a bit odd, but overall a delicious dinner. The only complaint was the drink that I ordered. It was the fig old fashion and it tasted nothing like figs. There were some fig jam looking stuff on the bottom, but even after stirring it up, it had no flavor. Not worth the $15, pick a better drink.
Excellent fine dining rstaurant with terrific service. The food is served in an appealing manner with beautiful presentation. The waiter was attentive to our wants with descriptions and alternatives to the food we ordered.. Great wine list to go with your meal. Seating is inside or out on their patio. Plenty of parking.
PHENOMENAL!!! From the moment we stepped in the door, until we walked out the service was impeccable. We are native to Gilroy, the garlic capital of the world and they treated us like dignitaries! The owner was also the hostess who sat us. Very personable and welcoming, our server (Amber) was the BEST! Great personality, but also extremely professional, knowledgeable AND efficient. The entire dining experience was top notch. We had foie gras, mussels, Caesar salad, cioppino, duck, Oso Buco, crème brûlée and lemon cake. We will most definitely be back.
We asked to sit outside and even on December 7th they had it nice and warm! We got Anthony aka Tony for our server and he was great! I have worked fine dining and Toni had all the specials memorized to a T! He poured wine like an expert and knew all the best suggestions for getting the last bite with extra bread to dipping the crisped beet dipped topper into the risotto! Try it! It’s pretty good!! It was my dad’s birthday and Toni treated him to a lemon mascarpone cake that was so decadent! We would definitely recommend this joint! Worth the money! Oh and try the scallops:) yum yum! You will be leaving happy and with a 5 star food baby:)
It has been 5 days since we dined at the Wild Garlic Grill in Tucson, and we have talked about our experience each day with someone. You must go! I had the San Francisco Seafood Stew--OMG! The presentation of the ample portion did not disappoint my taste buds. This stew was DELICIOUS! I'm pretty particular about tomato-based soups/stews, and this one beats all! The flavor profile was well balanced--I did not want to stop eating it, but there was plenty for me to take home to eat as a cold "gazpacho" the next day. My husband ordered the Herb-basted Alaskan Cod dish. He could not stop talking about the ultra-smooth, garlic mashed potatoes and the generous portion of flavorful cod! The cozy and romantic ambiance on the heated-patio topped off this dining experience in Tucson. The wait staff and host were all courteous. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end!
Definitely a five-star restaurant. Specials were amazing. I had the veal tomahawk and my husband had the New Zealand elk both were cooked to perfection with delicately cooked sides. The vegetables were sauteed wonderfully and still crisp when served. The veal & elk was buttery and " melt in your mouth" rare. They also had some amazing desserts we had vanilla creme brulee and my husband had an amazing special pecan bourbon dish that only they carry. I completely recommend trying the pecan dish if you love pecan pie it is amazing. They also have the best flourless chocolate tortes we've tasted and an amazing wine list, mocktails and cocktails. I highly recommend place as a try, but bring your wallet. They do have a special on Wednesdays for couples which is a three-course meal which will save you money.
The food was delicious! If you like more natural food that is focused on flavoring without much seasoning or spices then this will definitely be good for sensitive eaters or just people who enjoy quality food. It tasted 100% homemade. I will say the portions were a bit gigantic which is either a good or bad thing depending on the person! At least you get what you pay for. 🤌🏻
Get the mushroom soup! I’ve eaten here a few times recently. I was in awe of the presentation and beauty of the food here. Fantastic flavor combinations. The food tastes very fresh as well. I would drive all the way up there from Vail to get that mushroom soup...so delicious. I wasn’t impressed with the cocktails but they do have some good wines. Really interesting food specials.
Our experience started out a bit strange, but our server was awesome! We had called ahead, specifically asked if we needed a reservation and were told no. When we arrived the restaurant was hardly half full. The hostess asked us if we had reservations, we said no. She proceeded to walk us outside to the patio. When I asked if we could sit inside, as it was 92 degrees outside, she said no. Not sure if we were not dressed nice enough or what. So, it was a bit warm but we made the best of it. Like I said at the beginning our server, Kelli, was so pleasant, helpful, and friendly. On to the food and drinks. Remember I said we tried to make the best of it, well that started with a couple Bloody Marys 😊 We then ordered the roasted garlic fries, with our server's recommendation of getting the aioli sauce... Umm! We also ordered the beet salad, shrimp Rigatoni, and grilled chicken. We had just completed an 8.5 mile hike, so we were hungry, don't judge. All the food was delicious and we were so full we had to take quite a bit home. So really good leftover too! Would definitely eat here again when in the area.
Someone at our resort recommended this place to us as one of the best places in Tucson to eat. We tried the beef wagyu and Elk steak specials. We also got their mushroom soup as a appetizer and it was delicious! Our waiter was very attentive to us and informative of the menu. We went during the Gem festival and the outdoor seating was just lovely.
Wow! Wow! Wow! This place definitely met our expectations! We are usually Wildflower people, but… today… we decided to give Wild Garlic a try. We sat outside in the beautiful patio. The food was amazing and the drinks were amazing. Our two kids enjoyed their dinner as well. Price wise it was way better than I expected. My husband, kids and I will definitely be back here again.
This was my first time having a French cuisine and it’s nothing but perfect. Make sure to request outdoor seating if the weather permits. It could be a perfect outdoor dinner experience. The food is a bit pricey, but worth it. The servers are very nice and we were helped with two servers who addressed our food restrictions very well. If you are having leftovers they will perfectly pack it for you, so that the food doesn’t smell and the wine will remain inside the bottle until you get home. The noise level is mid, depending upon how many other guests are there.
The food is amazing, I recommend the New York steak with the very creamy mashed potatoes because the steak is cooked to perfection and it is very juicy and flavorful. The cooked vegetables are a delight and the side changes every night. The servers are very nice and there are decorations everywhere. As the server said, “there are French style dishes with American sizes” come here for a fancy family dinner or an anniversary or special occasion. I really recommend it. The pictures here are the duck, New York steak and chocolate crème brûlée.
The food was awesome! I ordered the lamb as the waiter highly recommended that. My husband ordered some meat that I forgot about the name, but I remembered he told me it was something like deer meat. That was great as well! The setting looked good but not that impressive, just personal taste: they could make it look like it’s an amazing and expensive dinning place. The food definitely was amazing and worth the price!
We had an amazing evening here at the Wild Garlic Grill. We were setup out on the back patio with 28 guest for my dads 90th Birthday. I can't say enough on how amazing the manager, staff and chef were on the ball in really taking care of us amongst a busy evening. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their dinner and the atmosphere. Thank you all for an amazing evening.
Wonderful establishment 10/10. From the host to the servers to the dishes. We will definitely eat here again. They have a wide range of specialties and the servers are very knowledgeable on each dish. The cocktails were also great. The ambiance of the restaurant was very clean and quiet.
Everything about this place was amazing! From ambiance to food to service! Our server was spectacular and also offered us a dessert on the house to congratulate us on our engagement. Appetizers were just rich and delicious. My husband and I ordered ceviche and also ordered NY strip. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place for service, food, and ambiance! You will not be disappointed!
I had a great experience. Michael was our server, he knew his menu upside down. His service was diligent without being overbearing - a true professional. I had the Elk special - it was perfectly prepared. A unique and savory experience - would reccommend. Great atmosphere. Prices on the high side but they deliver the value. Go enjoy yourself!
Kinda fancy but very friendly staff. We have visited Wild Garlic multiple times. The shef aways has different specials and the food is great.
I visited Wild Garlic for the first time last night because I had an appointment in the same shopping plaza. I was really impressed. I was dining solo, so sat at the bar. Amber was my server and she was so friendly and welcoming. 10/10 for service. I also met the chef/owner and his wife who showed me the same hospitality. I enjoyed the mussels from the appetizer menu. The broth was amazing and the dish was accompanied with warm, crusty bread. My seat had a view into the open kitchen, and all of the dishes they sent out looked delicious. I will definitely be back for the atmosphere, service and food. Perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion, or enjoy an appetizer at their bar.
We had a midweek lunch. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. If I had any complaints, it would be the menu choices and specials are too much! Kidding of course. Unbelievable number of choices.
The San Francisco Pier Stew was excellent! Lots of seafood, great broth, and a great price! We will definitely be back!
Another wonderful date night with my boyfriend really enjoyed it. He is the sweetest food was delicious and great actually service was very good highly recommend, especially if you know good quality food
Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who was extremely polite and walked us over to our table. The glassware and silverware lacked any hard water stains and were wrapped neatly in a clothe napkin. Our waitress Michelle was very professional and had about 20 different specials memorized verbatim. I found it overwhelming and had to ask multiple questions so I was making the right choice. Michelle was able to answer all of our questions. We started with the garlic fires which were a hit! We ordered lamb, ribeyes and lobster which were cooked perfectly. I typically prefer my steak not covered in sauce. However this sauce wasn’t salty and complimented the protein well. Will definitely return!
10000 ⭐️! Everything was great from seating accommodations, room temperature, atmosphere and a lovely knowledge and attentive waitress. My favorite place from now on! Equally functional both for family night / gathering or a romantic date night .
The food and server were exceptional. However thier policy on iced tea refills is ridiculous. No free refills, your paying full price for each flavored tea. I have no problem paying a dollar for the the flavor, but the full price is ridiculous.
One of my favorite places to eat with friends. They always have many specials- picking what to get is the hardest part! Great wine and Great food!
muy recomendable!!!
Excelente!!! La comida es exquisito y el servicio insuperable! De mis lugares favoritos en Tucson!
We went in on Saturday night at 6:30 with no reservations. We were extremely delighted by the fact that they were still able to see us right away. The hospitality was excellent. The service was above and beyond and the food was oh my God amazing. Zoe was our server and she was on top of things all night super attentive without hovering. There was an entire menu of specials for the evening, which is Zoe was so well-versed in. My wife and I were both amazed that she was able to recite it all for memory. Not only was Zoe wonderful but both Mark, the maître D and Maudi stopped by on several occasions to make sure we were having a pleasant dining experience. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It has become our new favorite spot.
Megan was fantastic. I run multiple units of the restaurant business in NY and was visiting my family and have to say that she was attentive, informative and pleasant throughout. The food was outstanding as well. And your hostess did a great job bussing tables and seating guests without missing a beat. Ask for Meghan when you come if you want a great server who’s service and personality will make you night!.
What a fun menu! Tons of options on the regular menu, plus a specials list so deep that I couldn't keep track of it. Great wine list with reasonable markups. Generous portions, expertly prepared. The filet encrusted with blue cheese served over the house risotto was legendary and the beef Bolognese will be any easy choice next time I am back. Probably my new favorite restaurant in Tucson.
My husband, brother and sister in law went to dinner here and had the most amazing experience. When we got there we were seated at a nice table inside but it was very loud, and we asked our server if we could move outside even though they were quite busy. They very graciously found room for us outside so we felt more comfortable. The food was amazing but I want to highlight the service. Michael was our server and he was so attentive, but the entire staff was incredible. From realizing we were low on bread to boxing and bagging our food for us, it was hands down the best service we have had in a very long time. I wish I had gotten everyone’s names who helped us because we were so thankful for the A+ treatment. The food was also so yummy, I highly recommend the mussels, the ribeye, and the clam chowder. This is a great place to go for a date or to bring family, however I will say it does get very loud inside so if you have family members who may not be able to hear very well inside, I suggest asking for a patio spot.
Great food as always. The lamb was amazing and so was the braised veal. The server was kind and fast even on the crazy busy new years Eve. Forgot the red wine we had but it was also delicious. Love going wild garlic. The servings are huge and the food is always top notch. I can't wait to return.
On October 25, 2025, my dining group of 28 had dinner at the Wild Garlic Grill. We were all amazed at the wonderful setting. We had three tables in the courtyard around the fountain. Everyone commented on how wonderful it was. The night was beautiful and warm. It was a perfect setting. This was not my first time at this restaurant, and it has always been one of my favorites. The waitstaff is always spectacular. The menu is very well appointed, and the specials are always interesting and wonderful. We were all surprised (expect me since as I had experienced the staff’s great memories previously) how the waitstaff remembered the numerous specials on offer. There were numerous extra offerings of steak and seafood. Many of the diners ordered steak. Many of the other diners had cod, swordfish, lobster and seafood stew. Everyone was very happy with their dinners and were amazed how much food was prepared with each dish. This chef cooks numerous kinds of vegetables for each dish. Most came away with a doggie bag. Vegetarians would love this place. This restaurant does cost a bit more, but the food and service are wonderful. It is a great combination. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service at the Wild Garlic Grill and I certainly was not disappointed. The setting, the food and the service were spectacular. Everyone needs to try this place. It’s well worth the price.
Siempre una experiencia increíble. Muy buen servicio y la comida increíble. Los mejillones son mi plato favorito
apetecibles platillos gran variedad en el menú excelente servicio al cliente precios competitivos
Excelente servicio y muy rico todo.
Delicioso!!!!! Con Ingredientes de excelente calidad y orgánicos!
Excellent service and charming ambiance. We started with the Clam Chowder and Beet Salad. The Beet Salad was excellent with just the right amount of dressing, fresh greens and goat cheese. The Clam Chowder could spare a few more clams and less potatoes. The presentation of the entrees were impressive. The rack of lamb itself was slightly tough but not bad. The salmon was flavorful and good. We were too full but next time, I will definitely order the flour less cake.
We really enjoyed our visit. Service was great. My husband enjoyed his ribs, they were flavorful and tender. We thought the steak could have been more tender especially for the price we paid. I loved all the garlic to eat along with the steak. Their garlic mashed potatoes were like delicious clouds.
My husband and I thought the food here was delicious. The portions were huge so we had to box the leftovers. The service was attentive and friendly. The only thing we didn't like was the three minutes long monologue for all of their special dishes and about how they're made. The restaurant is also particular for all of the different decorations such as mermaids, dragons, or the Egyptian decorations. I would come back to try some of their meat dishes.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary. The food was wonderful. Seasoned to perfection! Our waitress forgot we were there, and we couldn't get her attention for about a half hour, but in her defense, it was busy for a Wednesday night. Plan on spending about 1.5 hours there. PS. It's kinda loud. The acoustics could use some help to quiet it down a bit, but it's a restaurant, not a music hall! Overall, I highly recommend it. 👌
Lovely establishment with great vibes. The menu is so good that making a choice was very difficult. I opted for the stuffed salmon which was a chef's special. It was absolutely delicious. The only thing if I want to be really picky is that the fish was slightly dry. Desserts were off the chart.
Service was great. Menu is very extensive and I reality is exhausting. More veggies than meat or fish were served in their dishes. Although veggies and the other sides were delicious but should be a "side", not to prevail over the meat, fish , shrimp...
I have been here twice for lunch. The food is so delicious and the portions at lunch were enormous. My companions and I ordered mussels both visits and they were fresh and wonderfully brother. I enjoyed the beef bourguignon both visits because it was so wonderful the first time. I enjoyed 2 more meals of the left overs I took home. I noticed there a few more items on the dinner menu but the prices are the same on both menu for matching items. The specials menu was long. The service on the second visit was great.
The food was awesome!!! Very large servings. I had a chocolate martini and loved it. My husband had a very nice glass of red wine. The service began well. Our waitress was courteous and attentive. But, then, I guess she got busy and forgot about us. She never came to ask about another drink, and we ended up having to ask a different waitress for our bill. We did enjoy our evening, just wished we had not been forgotten.
Thank you for making a special accommodation for our party, our guest list confirmed a total but we had additional family show up. Service and food was great. We did have to get our steak cooked a little more, medium rare was actual rare. But easy fix. I’ll be back for another round. Would like to see what lunch is like.
Was there for our first time with reservations for Valentines Day. This causes all restaurants to break many tables in to two tops within close proximity. Diverse menu options. We want to go back and try some other dishes. We both ate steaks which were very good.
Muy bueno
This is a unique situation. The food was good and the service was outstanding, but the whole experience just felt kind of dumpy. The place is very dated and not specifically clean. The floor has probably not been attended to since it was first laid down, and the cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling bothered. The decor looks like it is a hodgepodge of things from the local flea market, and not in the modern trendy way. The huge volume of dead bugs laying in the basins of the overhead lights grossed me out. On the other hand, the service was top-notch. The prices were excessive though, given the environment of the restaurant itself. Hopefully they can get it together, because there’s a lot of potential.
Let’s start with the overall rating for Wild Garlic, it’s a 3 star and it’s just about accurate. Front of house greeting is quick and efficient but not exactly hospitable. The server was exceptionally knowledgeable and knew the specials well, there were FAR too many specials, by my count 12. Pick 2-3 things that the team can execute flawlessly and that guests can read without becoming overwhelmed. We started with the garlic shrimp, flawlessly executed shrimp but with some plate additions that don’t quite make sense; namely the veg and rendered Brie cheese… We moved on to the entrees, the stuffed salmon and the linguine bolognese. The salmon was executed flawlessly but the “stuffing” was awful. It tasted of Suis Vide seafood with a spongy, eggy texture, basically inedible, the risotto was nice but not inspiring and the dish was overall very busy; photo is attached. The bolognese was entirely another concern, there was no tomato to cut the richness of the meat, leaving the palate to contend with a gummy dish, it would be better described as a gummy, greasy version of stroganoff. There was significant activity on the plate that simply did not belong, not the least of which were Brussel sprouts and undercooked root vegetables. Desert was the pecan torte with sea salted gelato. The gelato was good but the torte tasted as though it were commercially prepared. At a price point of about $100 a person I would expect far better execution of the dishes, not just an optical execution. In short, I would not consider it a bad experience but it is not one I would seek out again. This is a great example of less is more, simplify the menu and spend a bit more time perfecting it. In conclusion the ambiance was fine, but the dining room is loud, nothing a few foam ceiling tiles couldn’t solve. And finally, the dining experience isn’t quick and that would be fine if that extra time was spent making sure each dish was perfect. I think this place has significant potential to be absolutely inspiring, it just needs a bit of direction and a more focused approach.
Great location and fun outdoor seating. The drinks were wonderful and the service was great the food tasted great the only downside was that the steak was overcooked and the cook insisted that it wasn't. I posted pictures so you be the judge. I thought it was in poor taste not to cook another steak for me but I did not cause waves I'm just a little too easy to get along with. FYI I have cooked thousands of stakes as a professional cook so I kind of know how to cook a steak.
The food was good, the employees knew their stuff and were friendly. The place was also very clean. My only real critique is that my carrots weren't cooked (not sure if they were supposed to have been), but im wasn't a fan of raw carrots on my plate. Also, as you can see in the picture, lots of food on my plate(which is great since it was over $30 for a lunch) but the juices from all the food made a pool on my plate.
We liked our dinner, the service was a little lacking even though it was not busy. We made reservation on Open Table. The host found our name when we checked in, seated us, and it turned out he was also our server. Later that evening, I received an email from Open Table stated we did not honor our reservation so I had to spend a little time to reply to Open Table.
I'd prefer to give a 3.5. The food looks amazing, the shrimp was good, the dessert was decent - other than the ice cream having ice crystals. The bison... I ordered medium, it was well done. They did offer to replace it, which we declined, however after getting the bill I should have made them replace it... $49 for well done bison. This was a place I've wanted to try for over a year, but it wasn't worth our 40 minute drive nor our $100+ tab. Yes, we did let them know about the overdone bison and the ice crystals.
Visited Wild Garlic Grill with high hopes. The setting was lovely, and the food was decent, though it didn’t quite stand out for us. Our server was polite, but the service could’ve been a bit more attentive. Overall, it was an okay experience nice, but not quite what we expected based on the reviews.
To begin with, there was no information readily available (I,assume in small print somewhere) that there is an additional nearly $7 for using card vs cash. It wasn't made apparent until AFTER we gave the server our card and notice the increased charge from the initial receipt. I find this very deceptive. The prosciutto appetizer was phenomenal. The Australian wagyu steaks were not all thst impressive. In fact, they were no more tender than a typical NY strip or filet mignon, especially when they're $85 and $95 respectfully. The fig old fashioned was delicious. Server paid more attention to other dining guests and rarely checked in on us. Will not be returning.
I was disappointed in the quality of the food. My food arrived and was at room temperature. The plate was barely warm and was told it was smoky hot. Be careful. All my food was bland and undercooked. The total tab for four of us came to $400 with tip. They should be ashamed of themselves serving this kind of food for that money. The only good part of the whole experience was the waitress. She was very good. Between the four of us. We had a large variety of appetizers and main course meals. I had lunch there earlier in the month and it was great. Whoever the chef was at 3:00 on Saturday should be fired. Good luck staying in business
We were very disappointed. We were charged per iced tea, for one person, because it had mango flavor. Waitress never informed us. We went for the 69.95 Tues/Wednesday fixed price, however waitress once again failed to inform us they would not honor that price for New Years Eve until after we got our bills.
Ordered a Sea Food Paella that was so hot that I could not eat it. The Filet Mignon for my wife was a pile of connective tissue - but definitely not the right cut. The waiters were the best I have encountered in a long time. The chef was upset with them after the food came back instead of the other way around where they had to present his absolute lack of care to us.
Fui Ayer domingo, la pechuga de pato sabia a que Era de varios dias atras. The chicken garlic estaba Frio al igual que los vegetales el sabor del Pollo Era de que fue cocinado temprano en el dia. Yo fui a Las 7:00 pm.
$300 dinner was terrible. The potatoes looked and tasted like they were made several days before and were swimming in puddle of sauce. The meat was bland. We left wishing we just ate at home. That was the third try. Don´t plan on returning.
The food tasted like it had given up long before it reached our table. Everything was bland, soggy, or mysteriously overcooked in ways I didn’t know were possible. I’ve had microwave dinners that were better. Save your money. Save your night. Go literally anywhere else. This place needs a complete reboot.
I've been here several times, food was unacceptable today. I ordered Pastrami Sandwich, burnt whole wheat toast, hardly no Pastrami, two of the gala i brought one had a shrimp salad she liked very much, the other had the beet salad not do good. Both had soup the Oregon Mushroom soup made from a base thick they used a immersion blender it was nasty, the new england clamp chowder was thick and nasty. I'm truly shocked by what we were served today. Our waitress was great, she did her best but she is not cooking the entry level cook in the back was. I live 67 miles away and I wont be going back. We headed over to LA Encantada and finished our shopping. Sad to report. Only 1 other table there for lunch.
I normally really enjoy the wild Garlic Grill. It is my “go to” place for a nice meal. Unfortunately my most recent experience was disappointing. When our check arrived (split between two couples) the price seemed high. After reviewing the bill we realized that we had been charged for a different tables drinks. It was more than 50.00. We brought it to the attention of the server who seemed minimally concerned. We also spoke to the maître d’ who also had no concern. I realize that mistakes happen and am not upset about that, I am unhappy that there was no sincere apology or offer to comp our dessert or something of the like. This poor service will certainly influence my decision to dine there again.
