I had written off Dennys forever until a friend convinced me to try them again. I had a server named Erick that blew me away. He was so nice! I never had to ask for anything! I will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I come in to Dennys specifically late at night at least once to twice a month to see our girl Erica G. I’m a big breakfast fan and every other breakfast restaurant in the area has had poor service. We never have issues with Erica, our order always comes out on time and correct. She even covered a night shift on a weekend by herself once and was absolutely slammed running around, still made no mistakes and managed to be kind and courteous. As for the atmosphere, it is a little weird at night but to be fair, it’s late.

James is my favorite server and I make sure to ask for him every time! On top of the lovely service, the atmosphere is great and friendly, and the food is wonderful.

Eating here at least 3 times a week. I have a better experience when Dora is on duty. She is always very attentive and making sure customers are well taken care of. She is very friendly always.

i came in alone to eat at Dennys and my server Tre was nice enough to offer to sit with me so im not lonely, he told me about day trading and i made $127,000 in stocks while there with Tre as my server. i offered to tip him for his trouble but he refused a tip saying “im just a lowkey guy dont worry about it”. now because of Tre i can feed my family of 11. Denny’s never disappoints! The food came out hot, fresh, and exactly how I ordered it. The portions were generous, and everything tasted great. Ashley C was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. The place was clean and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite or a sit-down meal. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving comfort food done right.

Our server Erik was so helpful adjusting standard menu items to accommodate different needs with a diabetic person as well as my autistic daughter! Normally, going out is difficult with all the different needs... And I feel awful putting the server through it, but Eric was so calm, And helpful! I didn't feel bad for once!

We were greeted when we walked in, seated immediately and had our coffee in hand within minutes! I noticed the floors wasn't slick with grease, the windowsills weren't dusty. I came through for a lil dinner while traveling and had the most INCREDIBLE experience. I was feeling a little indecisive and my server Charlotte was so kind and patient. My husband and I had to run to Killeen to pick up my laptop after I got off work today. I drive 1 1/2 hours to work then the same home and tonight we had to add another 1 hour to go to do this. My day started at 4am and it’s still going at 9pm and it’s been a really rough day to boot. We stopped at Dennys for a meal before the long drive home and let me tell you I’m so glad we did. I struggle to eat sometimes so my food has to be really tender and easy to eat. I love Denny’s pot roast so I was really disappointed when they took it off the menu. They did add a pot roast sandwich. I asked if I could have the pot roast with the bread on the side and get mashed potatoes- I told them honey just slide them bad boys right under that pot roast. Gracie our waitress came back with Kiki the chef just a few minutes later. Kiki said ma’am I just want to make sure I make this right for you so would you like caramelized onions with it? I gave her a big smile and said yes ma’am. Let me tell you I had to make sure to let her know she was on point with my meal. If you are ever in Killeen make sure to stop by here and visit with these ladies they will definitely take care of you.

i haven’t been to dennys in over a decade because last time i had went, my whole family got sick and the food wasn’t the greatest. i came to this dennys in killeen on jan 19, 2025 for a birthday celebration for one of my family members and we had the greatest experience. our server, greyson, was so amazing and kind, she had a smile that seemed so genuine and pure ! then the cook who had made our food did an absolutely amazing job, even came to our table and had thanked one of my family members for a challenge because she had ordered one of her food items a certain way that is very rare/ uncommonly asked. he was a dark/ light skinned guy and he was the sweetest ever! even gave us a little back story on his cooking career. i had spoken to nae, i believe her name was, and even though the conversation was quick, she was very attentive in the conversation and kind. thank you all for the greatest experience, we will definitely be returning customers!

I had the best over medium eggs I’ve ever had in a restaurant! Believe it or not I had to ask who cooked them they were that good!! Dora took it away with the eggs!! I eat at this Dennys pretty often and it’s always a solid experience. I usually get the grand slam and honestly I always look forward to it (ESPECIALLY WHEN DORA IS THERE!!) not only is she a friendly face, has a warming welcome but also brings the best attitude and lifts the atmosphere you can tell her staff is open to talking to her but can still get the days work done. Everything seems to run smoothly and efficiently. And even if I didn’t like dennys I would come back to see Dora and the amazing staff she brings.

We had a party of at least 20 people and the experience was amazing! Our server Eric was so patient and paid great attention to detail! Several of the staff came in to check that everything was going well. On top of this, they were short staffed and we did not call ahead to let them know we were coming. (Trying to be good... even though my crepe was giving me the side eye. 😅) She also checked in with us during the meal to make sure everything was still good, which we really appreciated. It’s always nice to know your server is genuinely looking out for you. I also observed her interacting with other customers, and it was clear she treats everyone with the same level of love, kindness, and enthusiasm. Her positive vibe truly fills the room! My brother ordered the **Slam Burger**, and he said it was a definite go-to—**not greasy at all**, my sister in law said her Bourbon Burger's beef actually tasted like real beef, with no weird fillers. Auntie said her 55+ meal exceeded her expectations because the portions was larger than expected for the great price. Major kudos to the chef and all the hardworking folks behind the scenes in the kitchen! Another great perk at this Denny’s location is their **10% military discount (with valid ID)**—a thoughtful touch that doesn’t go unnoticed. Overall, this Dennys location and Ashley made our breakfast extra enjoyable, and I truly hope management knows what a gem they have in her. I read a lot of negative reviews before coming here so I hesitated but I really wanted a Superbird Sandwich and it's the only Denny's here in Killeen so I took the risk and it paid off. The food was delicious and the service was super quick and the food was well made. I did curbside pickup so I couldn't attest to the other reviews commenting over a sewage smell. I didn't smell anything from my car. The service was very friendly from the call to let them know I was there to the girl that brought out my food. I will say that the Superbird had like 2 pieces of Turkey which was fine for my taste but others may not like that, and it appears they were short on fries and hashbrowns the serving size was pitiful but maybe there's a shortage cause of the pandemic or it was just busy I don't know. I would come here again though. Awesome customer service. Thanks!

It's been yrs since coming here due to past experience, rep in town, etc. I can confirm a happy dining experience as well! They've remodeled, have 90's - 00's music lightly playing, not blasting. My server, Makayla, is friendly, attentive, great at her job. 😁 Their red, white, and blue waffle slam is delicious. Strawberries, blueberries, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a dash of whip cream over 2 medium-sized waffles is very tasty. The bacon could be a tad crisper. Scrambled eggs are fluffy. Restroom is clean and smells nice. Again, iykyk 😉😁 I recommend dining here.

When I walked into the restaurant, no one was at the counter, and there appeared to be only two servers actively working the floor. Eventually, two hosts—and I believe the manager—came from the back and greeted me. Since I was ordering my food to go, I needed a few moments to review the menu. The host who provided the menu stepped away again, likely assisting in the back. However, one server, Eric, truly stood out. He was extremely helpful, offered great recommendations, took my order promptly, and ensured my food was prepared and ready in a timely manner. The service from the waitress was very good. My service problem occurred when I went to check out. On arriving home, I saw I was only given 10%. I tried calling only to be put on hold and then hung up on a d put on hold again for 20 minutes and never got to speak with anyone. Decent food does not make up for poor customer service.

Ordered biscuits and gravy, a dish that is not easy to get wrong. They managed to do so. Biscuit was so hard you had to use a knife to create cut it and the gravy was bland. The rest of my party's food was good but a breakfast restaurant screwing up biscuits... Disappointing at the least.

I don't know about any other day, but today the food was not so good. From the moment we walked in the door the place smelled like urine. My daughter and stepson asked for medium rare steak, but they got well done. My stepdaughter asked for Salmon, it was super small, dry and bland taste. I asked for boneless chicken with beer battered onion rings, the chicken was cold and I got 4 small onion rings. I asked for mango habanero sauce, but I got buffalo that was not spicy. I ordered an omelette with chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. The omlette was great and everything was fresh. The portion size does not fit the price and the food was not served the way we wanted. We will not be back. Our server Aaliyah did a good job under the circumstances. Good luck Aaliyah! The employees complained about the smell and customers across from us.

The food was some of the worst food I have had at a restaurant. The waitress was nice which made the experience tolerable. My wife ordered the crepe breakfast and the crepes didn't even come out until she had already eaten the rest of her breakfast. We will never go to this Denny's again. The only reason I gave it a 2 star was because of the service.

Took kid to Dennys. Def not my choice. I ordered a med steak. Came out well. Son ate it. Coffee was twice brewed and watery. Food was below average. Service was pretty good. I liked the waiter. Managers personality needs work when asking about employment for kids. And there was dirt and flies all over the place. Never again.

My experience with Denny’ today, February 24,2026, was not a favorable one. We were a party of two and ordered the Lumber Jack Slam with an extra egg and the Super Slam breakfast’s with coffee. The restaurant was not very busy when we arrived or while we were there. Service was extremely slow and when we finally got our meals, the all of the breakfast meats were very cold, the pancakes and hash browns were at room temp, but the eggs were warm. Our waitress was nice and energetic, but she was working the cash register, pickup orders and waitressing. I’d rate the total experience today as a 2 out of 5 and I don’t plan on going back anytime soon.

Check your food before u leave. I ordered regular pancakes and at the edge of one of my pancakes, it had some kind of chocolate at the edge of it. They need to be aware of making people food. Smh

Me and my family came here to eat and the place was empty( no customers), I think only one more customer and then us. We were seated right away and our server gave us our menus and we never saw here again. We waited for over 15 minutes and ended up just leaving. This place used to be great but now just has gone down hill, please save your money and go to black bear diner or ihop.

The food was horrible. Started with the hair in my grandkids pancakes to the gross sausage gravy. I was wondering why I hadn't been to Dennys in so long, now I remember why! Ew! For the service being so slow the food should have at least tasted good.....

. Denny’s – Temple, TX We went in around 7:30 PM on Wednesday night, and there were rats inside the building, moving around as if they owned the place. There were honestly more rats than customers. Because of this, I will not be returning to the Temple, TX location. This restaurant has been a part of my childhood, which makes this especially disappointing but this was the final straw. The issues here are ongoing: The AC rarely works when it’s needed A drive-thru was built at great expense but is almost always closed Management is ineffective The restroom paper towels are so thin they’re like writing paper, making it impossible to dry your hands The restrooms consistently smell bad These problems are fixable: 1. Hire a proper exterminator and pest control service 2. Repair or replace the AC 3. Spend a little more on decent paper towels and air freshener. I will truly miss the wait staff, they’ve always been kind and hardworking but I’m not willing to risk getting sick due to rats running freely and contaminating the space. This location needs serious attention.

If your looking for a good breakfast burrito look somewhere else . This was dry ,was mostly hash brown and tortilla. Stale,crusty, and had a funky smell ,like a dirty rag! The burrito looked absolutely nothing like the pic advertised .

Honestly, this was probably the worst food iv’e had at any restaurant. The food gave me and my whole family food poisoning, we all felt sick after eating here. The place was really dirty, tables full of food crumbs, the floor was sticky and had trash scattered everywhere. My soda had a dirty after taste like if the soda machine filter hasn’t been changed in a long time. The service was ok, our waitress was nice and tried to be helpful. Over all bad experience, I will never come eat at this Denny’s ever again.

The worse of the worse. Hash browns burned. They won’t greet people at entrance only those who they feel like it. Place not busy and you have to wait 40 to 45 min to b served. Pick up orders have you wait an hour when it’s like 20 min on the app or so they say. Both orders money lost. Raw egg, burned hash browns and Raw T-bone steak when it was supposed to be well. On top of the worse service ever we had to come home and this what we got when we checked. Trying to fix it makes no sense. It was trash what they served us. I really don’t recommended. Really looked like dog throw up. Bad service and real nasty. Lead and employees only had time to go outside to smoke by the front door. I had to give a star to write the review if not I wouldn’t gave none.

The truth is that the people who work there either don’t want to work or are incompetent, because how is it possible that I had to return my order three times because it was incomplete? In the end, I decided to leave with the order like that, because explaining it to them was worse than explaining it to a small child. If they don’t like their job, they should just quit. And not to mention the attitude and the poor treatment.

We’ve been here a few times, and ordered a couple times via DoorDash, each time the food has gotten worse, the first time we came here it was delicious zero complaints at all, the second time, the food was ok, not great but edible, unfortunately they mentioned they had just went through a remodel but the AC did not work, it was freaking hot! No fans to make customers comfortable at all, this was May in Texas mind you. The last time we went (and will probably be our last time) the restaurant had zero customers, we still had to wait a significant time to be seated, however the waitress was very kind and apologized. We were seated in a booth our choice as we prefer a booth, unfortunately we were right under an air vent and holy cow it was freezing! We ordered, got our food rather quickly, it was odd my husband was served all his food but his steak because it needed two more minutes to cook, we had never seen that before, but whatever we dealt with it. I ordered the all American with a side of biscuits and gravy, my toast smelt old and tasted old, my hashbrowns tasted like they were recooked from yesterday, and my biscuits for my side were doughy, my soda even tasted funny. I thought I was being dramatic until my husband said his toast also tasted old and his hashbrowns tasted old and oily. I could only eat my eggs and sausage links, he did eat the majority of his food, unfortunately got sick once we were home. We waited for the waitress to return so we could tell her about the food, she didn’t. We had to get up and try to be seen by the register just to get our bill, and to get away from the freezing vent above our table. I still paid the bill, kept my mouth shut about quality and tipped our bad waitress more than 20%, we left silently and said we’d never return, especially after my husband got sick once we got home. The quality of this place continues to go downhill.
