Quiet and comfortable inside, they have lots of window seating, along with blinds to close in small sections for when it's too bright or to block distractions. Only complaint is that there aren't too many outlets from what I know.
As a thriller and romance, author, I spend a lot of time in Starbucks working on my novels. This Starbucks sits at a high-traffic point along Plaza in National City next to the 805. As always, the staff are courteous and friendly, and the location is organized and clean. I stopped for a moment to rest while working on my next thriller novel and was lucky to get a table. Every seat was full. This location has a drive-through, and there’s almost always someone in line. They’ve got a solid crew, and they move fast. Parking is decent, though you can’t always get a spot right up front. That’s not a problem for me, but it’s worth noting. Great store.
I always mobile order, by the time I paek and walk in for pick up its always ready! I recommend that instead of sitting in the usually long drive thru lines.
Never review Starbucks but this location did an amazing job with both my drinks…

This Starbucks is not only 24 hours but very close to home, lucky me. I avoid it during busy times, just since the wait can be annoying & block traffic sometimes. But this location always serves my drinks fresh, hot or cold, & never messes up my orders. Staff is super catering and nice as well. The staff near my old house by Euclid & market doesn’t compare. The employees here always put a smile on my face. They deserve their tips.
I really enjoy coming here after or before my clinic appointments at Kaiser which is close by. This Starbucks is cozy, and not too busy for its location... everyone is friendly and service is great, however, I wish they would keep the bathroom cleaner.
The staff is always friendly and attentive to requests. But the hygiene is terrible; the bathroom was ridiculously dirty. I understand that this is an establishment that only sells coffee, but they could have made their bathroom cleaner; that reflects the quality of their service.
Got the Turkey, Provolone, Pesto on Ciabatta sandwich. It had hardly any turkey on it and was about 1/4 the thickness of the picture on the app. The taste was good, but it should have more meat to be a good value and worth buying again.
Starbucks in general have the same quality drinks and the people are generally nice... this particular location is always packed and the drive-thru is usually long. So if you don't mind the wait and aren't in a hurry, come here... if not, go down the street and there is another newly constructed Starbucks that may have shorter lines.
The drink was ok except, I wasn't even given a full scoop of dragon fruit. We didn't want to make a fuss about it. So we just left. While waiting for the order, I had to use the restroom(which wasn't clean). My Fiance didn't hear them call my name. So the drink was just sitting off to the side, until I came out the restroom and checked.
Restroom isn’t stocked with toilet paper & soap , unsanitary conditions ; failure to complete cycle task ,there’s an infestation of fruit flies, constant rude attitude from the female baristas against my family member for simply asking for drinks to be made correctly and for a side of half&half . and finally observing baristas leaving a mess on their counters; not following the cleanliness and safety training, milk left open with the top off for half an hour, and failure to ring up the order correctly.
Filthiest restroom ive ever seen. Dirty toilet, sink overflowing trash no toilet paper, NO soap. In all my years this is as bad as ive ever seen a Starbucks restroom. The other restroom was a "storage room" but for eployees only. If they were to open the employee only restroom instead of us vs the mentality im sure I wouldn't even be writing this. I blame the company clearly the workers are busy working hard so things like cleanliness obviously become less doable and suffer because of it. Very disappointed. Hope your shareholders are making an extra buck saving money on less workers that could be helping
Guys this Starbucks is so bad please stop coming here. There was a long line to purchase coffee and my elderly mother needed to used the restroom, they denied her from using it before I purchased something and I explained the lady that I was in line to purchase our daily coffee to please let her use the restroom and she responded I don’t care if the line is long she needs to wait. This is so un human my mother is old already she can’t hold it that long anymore. Please stop coming here.
They keep forgetting to add sweetener to my drink and the last time one of the barista acted like I was accusing her and that was the last straw for me. Quitting Starbucks and making my own drink. Saving money, less stress! Good bye Starbucks!
Stayed the night nearby so unfortunately this was the closest Starbucks to us. The two times that we stopped for coffee, the staff was very rude, disrespectful, disorganized and always got our order wrong. Hands down one of the worst Starbucks we’ve ever gone to.
Went through the drive thru between 3-4pm to order a drink. I miss heard the woman on the speaker and I thought she wanted me to order. her voice became hostile and she started getting rude with me. I’ve never received such rude customer service before. It’s retail??? If you can’t handle a customer mishearing you over the speaker then you obviously need to work elsewhere.
I would like to update my experience with this Starbucks location in National City, CA June 25, 2025 THE MANAGERS, SUPERVISORS AND BARISTAS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR JOBS OR THE CUSTOMERS NOW. THIS STARBUCKS IS ONE OF THE BUSIEST LOCATIONS IN THE GREATER SAN DIEGO AREA. EVER SINCE THE PREVIOUS MANGER WAS RELOCATED TO ANOTHER STORE THE NEW MANAGER THAT TOOK OVER HAS RAN THIS STORE INTO THE GROUND. I AVOID THIS STARBUCKS AND ALL THE STARBUCKS IN NATIONAL CITY BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THE QUALITY OF THE DRINKS AND SANDWICHES ARE NEVER PREPARED CORRECTLY. WHY PAY MORE FOR SOMETHING THAT IS TERRIBLE WHEN YOUR NOT GETTING THE QUALITY SERVICES OR QUALITY PRODUCTS THAT YOU ARE PAYING EXTRA FOR NOWDAYS. STARBUCKS IS A TERRIBLE MODEL OF HOW YOU REALLY SHOULD NOT RUN A BUSINESS.
The store is so dirty fly everywhere everywhere u see is sticky and disgusting 🫣 I will never recommend this location to anyone
