Preguntas frecuentes sobre The Bread Factory Cafe
Opiniones de The Bread Factory Cafe New York
Absolutely great food, their salads are fresh and made to order. Lots of selection and fast. Outdoor seating meant easy people watching near Times Square too. When I go back during Broadway season, will be stopping by again. Best priced food joint that isnt over priced.
Pretty much the only spot I will eat at in midtown Manhattan. Affordable, quality, and you can pretty much get whatever you want from espresso and bagels to pasta, hot sandwiches, and salads.
The Bread Factory on 7th Ave. This is the place to get breakfast. Go see any of the gents at the counter, highly recommend the egg, bacon & cheese on a roll. Go up and grab your beverage at the cash. By the time you have paid, the sandwich is ready. Awesome place! Don't miss out. Thanks from the two crazy Canadians 😎
The food is very tasty and varied. delicious pastries. Very friendly stuff. unfortunately there is little space in the cafe and a meager menu in the evening
An absolute staple of perfection!!! Food was perfect and atmosphere very welcoming!!!! 10/10 would recommend!!!
Great variety of food, great flavors, staff really kind and helpful. Food cook at order and the price is adorable for every pocket.
One of my favorite places to have lunch when we used to go to work a long long time ago. The one near my work closed but am so happy this one has managed to survive the downturn in the economy. Their pasta and wok bar is amazing and so are their prices.
Variety of choices under one roof. Walked into it thinking of late breakfast with coffee and grab and go....but stayed back for early lunch. Excellent selection of baked goods, desserts and breakfast sandwiches. For lunch and dinner they have hot stations including chicken, fish and meat choices. There is made to order wok station for asian food. Sandwiches, wraps and paninis are all made to order. If you are in Times square and want to have a freshly made pocket friendly meal then this is your place. Quick and friendly service. Bought sesame cookies that were crunchy, less sweet and yummy.
Love this place! All baked goods are made fresh daily. They really know how to make a breakfast sandwich taste great. The turkey bacon, egg and cheese on a fresh baked croissant is so delicious and satisfying. But, the best part is after 4 pm, when all the baked goods are 50% off.
Excellent customer service and great ambiance. My food was served just the way I asked.
Bobby & his staff of talented cooks & bakers never disappoint. Delicious breakfast! Well crafted baked goods. Monse´ was very helpful to me today. It's rare to find such attention to detail in the quick meal options around town. I suggest this spot for locals & tourists.
Great service, quick, friendly. The guys making the breakfast items are wizards. This place is solid to avoid lines elsewhere.
First time in NY, we didn't know where to eat. We stopped in this place and we fall in love when we saw the meatballs. Isnow our fab restaurant for lunch and dinner. Quality of food and cheap price for a city as NY. very well done!!!
This place is one of our favorite go-to spots when we're in the city. It has literally everything from sweets to sandwiches to pizza to hot plates like chicken and Mac and cheese and some of the best stir fry I've had in the city. It was all very affordable too.
Stopped in for a snack while out and about. Got an eclair, cheese danish, iced latte, smoothie and green juice. Everything tasted very good. They had bathrooms and several tables to eat at. The woman at checkout was super helpful and definitely recommend stopping by for a snack or lunch as they had a deli and pasta bar!
I have always loved this place and go here every time I'm in new york. My teenager loved her slices of pizza which included a drink in the deal, I had a cheese cake which was delicious. The prices are really good especially as it's located between empire and times square. So great for a Pit stop.
Nice coffee and open today Monday 23rd
I love this place, everytime I come to nyc I come here!!!
wonderful experience at this place eating breakfast in my family. We found it when liberty bagels had a line stretching around the block and we are sure glad that we did.
A great place to eat at any time of day. There's a huge variety - salads, hot meals, breakfast, bagels, soups, cakes and pastries. Service is quick, the staff are pleasant, and the prices are very reasonable.
Great Breakfast spot, fresh bagels, ginger shots, and so much more. Service was great.
Nice fresh bagel and really good coffee The staff was helpful and friendly despite my jet lag making me comprehend nothing :)
I loved it. The staff is amazing, it has a lot of fresh and healthy options and is open from 5am to 9pm. The owner is super friendly and checks every item with great care! I am here for 4 days and have come in every single day, feels like home away from home!
Wonderful service for large events. Can’t say enough how pleased all were with the pizza and fruit salad delivered. Will definitely order from them again. Thank you Emily for the great hospitality. My only complaint is no catering options for large groups offered. Should really be considered as it allows for more event ordering.
Delicious bagels excellent service! Everyone is always so nice.
The BEST of New York! This place has better bagels than anywhere in the world! The bagels are bigger than your face, simply ginormous. The amount of cream cheese spread on the bagels is yuge! The drinks are fresh, especially the juices and coffee. The workers here are friendly and helpful. I tipped the guys with Hamiltons, no Washingtons or Lincolns. My favorite was the chunky chicken soup and fruit tarts. I fought for my share of the tarts, since my kids wanted them all without sharing. Truly delicious stuff here, and you won't regret coming here! Can't beat the fresh bread and pastry. Yum!
I've only gotten breakfast here but I've never been dissatisfied. Great service great food
Great bagels/breakfast sandwiches as well as comfy food items for a quick bite
This is a great place to find some good food at a reasonable price. I have been there many times before, and I always get the make your own salad, and they load it up. My kids got the chicken noodles and a sandwich which were both very filling. there's just enough seating and the people are very friendly. The wait for food isn't that long either. We had to walk about 15 blocks to get there. I'd do it again.
I had a massive craving for a slice of focaccia and happened to be walking by this place. They had a wonderful slice that they warmed up for me. It was absolutely loaded with cherry tomatoes, artichokes, and olives and fixed me right up. The service wasn't particularly friendly or pleasant, but I'm still grateful that they were there to feed me at the hour of need. 🙂
came in to grab a slice of cheesecake and the service here was great, the guy behind the counter was so genuine and easy to talk to and the cheesecake was pretty good we also got rainbow bagels but they weren't really good but very pretty
The chef's specialties all deserve a taste. The vibe is good with helpful workers and simple elegance. Workers here display remarkable kindness and readily suggest options if you look undecided. Their food impresses and their service never falters. The vibe here is particularly nice.
Short walk on 7th Ave,west of Macy's 34th st., Indoor dining, quick & casual, seats 20 persons, serves hot entree, pizza, salads, bread & pastries, $18 for green tea, bottled water,eco-friendly bowl of spinach salad with tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, chick peas, green apples with oil & vinegar dressing, all fresh!
Great place for a quick bite. Food is really fresh and delicious, staff very friendly and efficient to get you going on your way. There is also seating available if you choose to sit in. Well kept, very clean, and music in background. Much more options than a Starbucks and there is a restroom and wifi for customers.
Was staying at the Moxy Hotel across the road for four nights recently and visited the Bread Factory twice for different takeout pasta meals. Both were absolutely fantastic, made to your choice and was enough to feed two even though I only bought for myself. Absolutely beautiful feed on both visits.
Dope bagel sandwiches, feels like a non touristy local spot
UPDATE. Place is still great...Now that I've been there a few times, am used to the "hustle and bustle' atmosphere. Like it more than before!!! What a find. Located at the back side of Macy's, the front is dedicated to take-out. Great looking breads and rolls. In the back they have a grill where they make your order as you wait. I was there for breakfast--ordered scrambled & bacon. Got a large portion of eggs, potatoes, great toast and a big order of bacon all for a McDonald's price! It was fun to watch the help banter and enjoy their jobs while I sat at a table and ate. Most folks do takeout it seems.
Ugh! I was able to get hot water for my tea here as early as 630am. The staff is great and they have very good breakfast sandwiches. Get the blueberry danish!
Great spot for a no frills breakfast or a sweet treat. Staff is attentive and efficient. Excellent breakfast sandwiches (don’t sleep on the kaiser roll). Only disappointment is the bagels. They are not horrible but there are better options around the corner. Overall an excellent spot that I will return to in the future.
Good spot if you are in the area and in need of a sweets fix. You have a lot of options to choose from here in terms of pastries, cookies and desserts, with availability to seating and a few different food options as well. There is a salad bar, a bagel and breakfast station, a hot foods bar, pizza, pastas... overall a good place for lunch too.
The bread here is always so soft and fresh. Their sandwiches made on their bread are also very good. Egg sandwich was good but the egg was a bit dry. Prices are reasonable for the city. I cannot vouch for their hot foods but for breads and sandwiches seem to be their forte. The workers are always a bit confused and even when ordering a sandwich directly off their menu, they ask you what is on it which kind of defeats the purpose.
Best pizza I've tasted thus far. You can also get a salad tossed in front of you with your favorite toppings. I feel better having it tossed versus eating from a salad bar during the Covid out break. Most of the staff is nice and friendly, but there is one guy in back who makes sandwiches and salads with a BAD attitude. It's as if he doesn't like his job and takes it out on me.
I went in to take advantage of the pasta bar. You choose the sauce and type of noodle and protein, and other toppings you'd like and they cook it up right in front of you. It was ok, but it wasnt worth the almost $15 dollars I paid for it. It's in a "touristy" NYC area so of course it was overpriced. I did notice that the "chef" used the same tongs that he used to scoop up my shrimp on another persons order to grab their chosen toppings and thought how dangerous that could be if the person is allergic to shell fish. Each topping should have it's own set of tongs.
Good concept, Pizza, salad, soup, bread and a lock station with pasta. The reason the place is getting three star is because there was cross combination that I saw, man was cooking with raw chicken with the same tongs picked up raw garlic thus contaminating the garlic. . Also the bathroom was so dirty that I was afraid to touch the sink, it smells like a New York city sewer. There was urine all over the floor and toilet paper all over the floor soaked in urine. I understand New York City doesn't have the best bathrooms anywhere but this was on another level a restaurant should have somewhat of a usable bathroom especially a franchise like the bread factory. So the food gets a good review for taste, but some of the employees need to practice better ServSafe skills.
This is a really good solid place for a quick breakfast. they are open on the weekends and the rest of the area is pretty empty, so if you need a quick grab and go breakfast and you are in Midtown it is a good spot to stop off at. I came here with a family and they ordered a good variety of options. They mostly have outdoor seating at the moment because of Covid. But they have a lot of space inside as well. The space inside is laid out like a mini food court where you have a variety of options of items to choose from for breakfast or brunch. We did try the burger as well as coffee a few sandwiches and fries. The food was pretty average but well prepared and came out pretty quickly from a service standpoint. They also helped us to get more tables and chairs for the party because we were on the larger side since there were six of us.
Not the best place to grab lunch. Some like the salad deal, but I can pass. This place is a zoo! The crowd is crazy and there is barely any spot to sit down. I once ordered a burrito and it came with plain potato chips. So weird. Better off going to the neighborhood pizza parlor.
Stop paying for the way places look inside. I'm not paying a great ambiance. I would rather pay for just plain good food. It has to taste good, not just look good. I've only ate the pizza at this place and it was not better than dollar slices from 2 bros. However; the pizza and the juice cost me 12 dollars. The best part of the meal was the juice.
Unfortunately this is not as good as it once was. I gave them 4 stars a year ago but since then there are new owners and the food and cakes are nothing like they once were. It tastes like they are using subpar quality ingredients especially in their cakes and the tastes are completely different now and not very good anymore.
Today I had a very experience there. I ordered the food. The cook gave a paper. There is $14,95 on the paper. He did not explain anything about the paper. However, I just showed the paper the cashier and paid it. She did not give the receipt. Later, I got my food and looked for chopsticks. Another cashier asked me to pay for the food. I told her I already paid for it. The cashier I paid to said I did not pay. I told them to check CCTV. and then they gave the food. They are very rude. This is very disgusting. I think she did it on purpose. Do not go there. If you go. please ask them the receipt.
The food was not good. It lacked seasonings, and was prepared as if it was rushed. My friend ordered the Shrimp Scampi and got back bland shrimp that tasted very suspect, spaghetti noodles, and olive oil. That is not shrimp scampi. She ended up throwing the whole thing away. I ordered a chicken pasta and it was terrible. There was no seasoning. I did not even taste any salt or pepper at all, and the sauce was a water like texture that fell off the noodles all together. Also, had to trash mine. Not happy at all. The chicken wings were not good, and ended up upsetting both my friend and I stomachs! It took over 24 hours just to feel back to normal. So please do not eat here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pizza is nice, however the service is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in NYC. The employees don’t seem to understand the store concept at all, which results in tremendous time spent waiting to order and then again for your (warmed up) food. Been there at 2 p.m., so lunch rush hour was already over, nevertheless staff was stressed, in a hurry and not friendly at all. When throwing away our trash I had to go to a bin located near the toilets. The smell and the faces of other guests coming from that direction tells you everything you need to know about their toilets...
The pizza had a fly baked into it, and when I asked for a refund, I was not given it. They claimed I should have told them before. I did not notice until I sat down. I did not even bite it yet! Poor service! The bathrooms make the pizza look hygienic.
I used to go here regularly a couple of years ago and loved it. I started working in the area again and started ordering again. What happened? They were getting my orders wrong this 2nd time around. But this was the kicker - I placed an online order and when I went to pick it up, they told me I didn't pay when I paid via cc on the website. So I said no problem. I gave them my card and they charged me again plus 2 extra dollars that wasn't on the online order. I went back the next day and complained to the manager after noticing this on my cc account. After about 20 minutes of waiting to see him, he said the money would be refunded back into my account. Well guess what? It wasn't. After a few days of back and forth, I still haven't received my money back. I gave up. Let them keep the money but they won't see anymore of it from me.
I came in tonight around 730 and the employees were obv VERY eager to get home early (I DO understand having worked retail for years), having already mopped the floors and put up chairs etc even tho there were ppl still eating. I had really been looking forward to having a pasta from their pasta bar all day, however when I came in I was told "no more pasta bar" (even tho it looked like most of the ingredients were still there) and it was suggested that I get some of the pizza that had been sitting around for awhile that prob wouldn't even be taken on a "To Good to Go" order. I didn't even want pizza having already had an excessive amount the night before and even if I did, there are plenty of more appealing and cheaper pizza places in the area where I could get some if I wanted. I sorta understand the need to leave early, BUT if they are closing up parts of their food offerings before the official closing time, they need to either mark that online or on a sign outside, neither of which it appears they have done. As someone who has regularly been coming here for years, this is extremely disappointing and if I decide to come here again, I guess I will have to plan my work schedule (and control the subways) around their closing time or take my business elsewhere like I did tonight.
The staff were only interested in selling. No customer service at all. Coffee was not only horrible, but when asked to rehab, the lady refused. Requested hot milk, which they said yes, but did not bother to heat. Made the sandwich also go cold. The sandwich was reasonable at 13 dollars. Can be avoided.
I got the breakfast wrap and it tasted super bland. My friend got the pancakes and found a piece of plastic in them. The mocha had a chemical taste to it. Never going back here.
I doubt I'll go back here. I stopped in this morning before work and ordered the steel cut oats with milk and brown sugar. When I got into the office and opened it I was thoroughly disappointed. I was served a soupy, watery mess with oats floating in it. The consistency is loose and flavorless like gruel and there's definitely no milk.
I hope management stays on top of these reviews and have a serious talk about what exactly customer service is and what exactly it entails. It’s unfortunate that I have to leave this review, because there are actually a few lovely workers there. However, there is a certain worker behind the counter that usually handles the register that needs some correcting. When customers come in to spend their money give them what they want without the attitude. If a customer makes a certain request and once it’s permissible, satisfy the customer. Thats what customer serves is all about. If you are incapable of going above and beyond, go work in the back. The huffing and puffing when I step in is not necessary. I am respectful and I pay my money. I don’t beg for anything, but a particular type of item in particular type of way. Pardon me if I refuse to purchase hard stale cookies. That worker needs some review on how to handle the public, because his aura reeks and his mannerism is rather fake and obnoxious.
Super disappointed to even have to write this review, but it was a shock to the system to say the least. I’m a regular here, so much so that the people behind the counter already know my order before I place it. Sometimes I’m even in for both breakfast AND lunch. I get the same thing pretty much every day, a bagel, a muffin and a beverage. I place the beverage into my tote, take my ticket to the front, pick my muffin and let the ladies at the register know my order (beverage included). I usually only receive a small paper bag for my bagel or a plastic one if I get French toast that day. Today, it was a small paper one for my bagel and muffin. Today, I also purchased an additional breakfast for a coworker that was in the restaurant with me (maybe check the camera for that too, management). On our way to collect our breakfast, I got accused by management for stealing the beverage that I paid for in front of my coworker, who was equally as baffled as I was considering she watched me not only purchase my breakfast, but hers as well. The manager said someone in a back room was allegedly watching me on a camera and in return, I asked if they referred to the women at the front to ask about my order before accusing me. He had no answer to that and quickly apologized. It seemed to be a misunderstanding, which the manager apologized for again when I returned later for explanation, but as someone who’s regular to you, this was inexcusable to me and embarrassing. I personally do not wish to patronize this establishment again and will be going elsewhere for breakfast and lunch moving forward.
Nah this is wild. Walking back home on Thanksgiving, mom and pop delis aren’t open but I really wanted a chopped cheese. This place miraculously was open. Walked in and asked the lady if they could do a chopped cheese for me and she said yes go ahead. Walked to the deli area, told dude I wanted a chopped cheese and what toppings. Got home, this dude put a hamburger patty on a roll with my toppings and called it a day. This isn’t a chopped cheese and you know that! I bought the sandwich, 1 can of soda, and a essentia water, for $20? Wish I could tell you how much everything was, didn’t have prices on what I got. I was so annoyed and hangry I just paid. Receipt doesn’t show anything itemized either (sketchy) Cautionary tale for others.
I went to The Bread Factory today to get a chocolate chip muffin, another review had mentioned they were good. When I went to choose the muffin, they had a wide variety of unlabeled saran wrapped muffins, but I could tell visually which ones had chocolate bits in them. One option had larger square chunks on top and one had smaller chips on top. I prefer chocolate chunks in my muffins so I went with that option, only to realize there was all of two cholate chips inside the muffin and some on top of the muffin. When I brought it to the counter and showed them, they said that's because it's "chocolate chunk not chocolate chip and the other would have more chocolate chips inside" when I asked them how am I supposed to know since they are not labeled? The woman at the counter shrugged and said "we label them only in the morning but you can ask after." I left afterwards as they were not willing to reconcile the situation. This was very odd to me any bothers me that they are not labeled, partially for food safety and allergen reasons for others but this place also had a variety of maybe 8 different muffins in this basket so am I supposed to walk up to the counter with each muffin and ask what it is if I don't have a particular one in mind already? I would not recommend.
Rude guy at front. Refused taste the iced coffee before i ordered to see if i like it. Empty store. Zero stars! GO NEXT DOOR to liberty bagels, much better service and product!
I was in search of a healthier spot and stumble upon this spot who look really nice. I ordered some pasta at the pasta bar and ended up really disappointed. Despite showing fresh ingredients at the bar, everything was already precooked. The cook pulled some pre cooked pasta and chicken from under the table and mix it up in a wok. I noticed him being really rude with two customer after they complained that their order was inaccurate. The bread they gave me came in a cellophane wrap although it seems fresher than the stale chicken
