Cool experience. Order drinks and food at the bar. You get a buzzer to pick up your food at the window when it is ready. It was crowded and there was a birthday party event happening when we went. I recommend a reservation if you can! Especially for sunset. The fish taco and lobster toll and hot dog were great. I won't order the calamari again but it wasn't bad, it wasn't spicy and just didn't seem worth it.

It's beautiful to see that my neighborhood can enjoy the same things as those who live below 96 Street. I went on a Wednesday, and they had a private party but were opening up for the public at 3:15pm. Hostess was very informative. Told us how to order, where to pick up, and also where the restroom was. The maintenance staff were on point, a napkins fell, and they were right there to pick it up. I had the pretzels, and it was so soft and delicious. The sauces are one cheese and the other mustard. It was wonderful to know they have mocktails and non-alcoholic beer. Will definitely return loved the sun and feeling the waves.

Come see the amazing views on the Hudson River. This is an amazing location that I absolutely recommend to anyone here in the city. It is a unique experience to wine and dine on a military vessel. The food is delicious and the drinks are always strong. The bartenders are friendly and quick! I always bring friends here and they love the views and service from the staff. I even did a wedding rehearsal here once. My family and friends loved it. It was scenic and very memorable for everyone.

This place is beautiful, made reservations but there was still seating so you can do a walk in. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The weather was beautiful and it’s in a perfect spot to watch the sun go down. Drink prices was reasonable and food was good mostly finger food. Music was good and your allowed to bring your dogs as long they well behaved. Perfect spot for date night, girls night out or just to sit by the water and have a drink.

Went yesterday as the sun was setting and the view was spectacular. This place is good for groups or couples. Great vibes. Everyone was very friendly. The drink (i had the mule) was perfectly made and delicious. The food was nothing fancy, finger foods, but was good nonetheless. Reservations highly recommended. This is going to be my summer spot.

It was a beautiful day and the food was really good! Everything was fresh. Really nice vibe. We had the Impossible Tacos and fries. I bet it's even a better vibe at night. Nice experience! 🙂

Playlist was perfect. There are 4 restrooms/stalls. Two on each level. Decent selection of bar food. If you go in the cooler months like spring and fall, your food will get cold quick due to the sea breeze. Slight smell of garbage every once in awhile.

A wonderful venue to enjoy a drink have a few bites and soak in the views of the Hudson River, the West Side, and NJ. You really feel like you are on a boat in the middle of the Hudson.

I liked coming here especially due to its location! Catching dinner in the middle of the Hudson ? Sign me up! Menu very diverse with good options and bar choices as well. Good dates spot as well.

If you love eating on a boat over water but hate high prices (Grand Banks) and douchey bros (Frying Pan), then you might just like Baylander Steel Beach. The food won't win any culinary awards, but it's decently priced and portioned for what you get. - Maryland Crab Tater Tots: Tasty, though they use artificial crab meat - Firecracker Flash Fried Calamari: Skip this. Too much sweet and savory mixed together, and not in a good way - Beer Battered Fish Tacos: Solid - West Harlem Lobster Roll: A surprising amount of lobster and not too much mayor - Smokin' Fries: Ample and well-seasoned I was playing it sober that night, so I opted for the Man Overboard mocktail, which was very refreshing with ginger beer, watermelon and lime juice. Bonus points: The single-stall bathrooms keep the old war-time equipment intact. Even if you care nothing for nautical history, it's just plain cool to see all those gadgets and gizmos aplenty.

EDIT: Check your credit card statement! An 18% mystery charge was added after the initial purchase though one was not authorized when payment was made. Contacted establishment via email as there’s no phone number listed and never received a response. Former “World’s Smallest Aircraft Carrier” turned outdoor bar and grill. Amazing views, good menu. The shrimp tacos were delicious, but very small. The sweet potato fries were good and a nice portion. Casual, cool vibe—but a bit too loud.

Updated review: Extremely loud environment during recent visits and no response from staff or management about adjusting the volume just a little; unable to tolerate the painfully noisy environment anymore. Our table was unable to converse on a Sunday afternoon, other guests in our party complained about the extremely loud music, overall a bad experience and disappointed we can’t go back because it’s otherwise a great establishment. Original review: Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and food is decent. Excellent handling of a surprise summer storm; they instantly moved the party below deck and made the experience even more fun for us than usual.
