Opiniones de Graney's Bar & Grill Albany
Comfortable atmosphere, great burvers & boneless wings are excellent!
Food is good . The beer is cold. The bartenders are hot!!
Friendly staff, good food, and a great place to watch a game.
Very consistent Tavern style food. Bartenders on Sundays are both extremely sweet and welcoming!
Excellent choice of beer and great wings with friendly service.
Other than the best-looking bartenders in the area they have the best mozzarella logs that are homemade that I have never seen anywhere other than here
I love the staff. Always a good time at Graney’s. Definitely Recommend
Food came out on time and delicious I highly recommend , I had the Ravioli bites and a Quesadilla.
One of the best bars in the Capital District. Great staff and food that is at a great price and excellent quality.
Great Service Especially From Kristen, she makes the place a must go !!
They're always accommodating here, and their wings and tots are really good! Ask for the "Kevin Collins" wings.
Good mozzarella logs and wings. Loud place on a Friday night, but fun and food is awesome
One of our favorite places. We have moved from the area but always love to visit when back in the 518!
Great sports bar. Long bar, decent amount of seats and a ton of tvs. 🍻
solid bar food. the buffalo chicken will knock you on your bottom! but in a good way.
Even though it was packed for football, great service and food! Spicy tots were great!
The chicken wings rival places in Buffalo. Excellent amount of spice and meat on wings.
Great local bar and restaurant Great atmosphere
Graney's is a great spot to watch some football. They have the NFL Sunday Ticket and a ton of TVs. We ate some of their amazing bar food including the house made mozzarella logs and wings. Definitely recommend!
I love Graney's. The vibe and atmosphere is always good. Their kitchen is open late which is nice as I get out of work late and like to head there with my coworkers for apps and drinks. Service is always good and the drinks are reasonably priced!
Not your average bar food! Ordered salads, sandwiches and pizza with a to go Margarita during the COVID shut down and everything was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend! Support your local businesses through this crisis!
It's a crazy Irish pub, but it's my crappy Irish pub. Food is surprisingly very good though. Hands down some of the best wings in Albany and their pizza is better than quite a few pizzerias.
Wings extra crispy extra sauce and that's all you need to know. Their wings are the best in the state! Duffs doesn't know about this place!
Been going there for many years. Good people, awesome staff, variety of food. Don't go there so I can be sure to have a table when I show up! (Kidding..)
The place overall it was wonderful. I truly like the food. I like the times that I have dined in and eating outside as well. The staff is very accommodating and the food is fantastic.
Very nice waitresses, and great food. Serves normal bar food and does it at a good price. Will definitely be back.
Staff is cool 😎 food is good 👍 and the drinks are great. Location is my favorite part of Albany. Additional parking in the rear.
Excellent cheeseburger wrap and wings. Good selection of beer. Great atmosphere for watching whatever sport you like.
Great place to watch the NFL games. Not overcrowded, very friendly Bartender, great food!
The food is always great, the drinks are poured correctly and rhe service a Is top notch!
Great place, good food. Fair prices. Always a pretty girl behind the bar!!!
Stopped by with my Dad for a bite. Great little neighborhood bar - noisy in the bustling, excited way, not a place for a quiet discussion, but great if you want a cheerful neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other. Nice variety of beers on tap, and the food was great. Dad had a great burger and I snagged the Buffalo chicken wrap, both were delicious. Best part was their meals come with homemade potato chips - so crunchy and flavorful, we loved them. Definitely a place to go enjoy game night with a happy, boisterous crowd. Will be back!
The food was good, friendly atmosphere. The only problem was that there were only two people working that I saw. The bartender was pleasant and friendly, but she was handling both the bar and dining guests. She did her best, but her attention was divided between the two. I've eaten here before, and there had been more wait staff. I will go here again.
I recently visited Graney's and was impressed by the attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was lively and the drinks were perfectly mixed. The real standout, however, were the chicken wings - some of the best I've had in the area. Whether you're looking for a night out with friends or just a place to grab a drink and a bite, Graney's is the perfect spot. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Nice affordable place to grab a drink and watch sports. Food is classic bar food but I will admit that quality has been known to vary. I would not come here if food is your main concern. Nice atmosphere, drinks, and very friendly staff is consistent which is all that really matters
Irish tavern that I was a regular of during the pandemic as it was on a common route. Food prices are amazing, plenty of specials. I once asked for a barbecue jalapeno chicken quesadilla and he made it the weekly special. Parking is in the back off Ontario Street take a right off new Scotland and another quick right.
The food was AMAZING! The cook came out and asked if everything was ok, and chatted with us at lunch. However the bartender should pay more attention to ALL of her customers rather than just the males. As a former bartender/server I appreciate good service and pride myself for tipping well/accordingly. Needless to say, she got 10%. I would have tipped the cook more, but he was busy and couldn't come back out.
Bartenders, both female, intelligent, gr. great at their jobs and most of all, not Bad on the EYES. Prices very good, crowd allot of AMC staff, pleasant atmosphere. Overall on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 9. Only reason I didn't give them a 10 was just got out of work, and my first time there and didn't try their food yet. From what I seen delivered to the tables, I should give them a 10. Very nice place to visit on a Thursday night at 1130 pm.
Such a nice , comfy , clean place , cool vibes
Great wings! Fantastic bartenders & service. All sports on 20+ TVs. Soups, sandwiches salads & pizzas that make this a step above pub food. All reasonably priced. Touch tunes juke box. An Albany classic.
Great place for delicious pub food. Four people shared spicy tater tots, half nachos (huge), veggie burger (so tasty, not at all mealy), bleu cheese burger, and a chicken sandwich. Everything was enjoyed by all. The server was patient and helpful. We will definitely be going back👍
Been coming here for over 20 years. Still my favorite wings out of anywhere I've been.
I’m a huge fan of their burgers and the fried pickles. It’s honest, delicious pub food that hits the spot every single time. It’s my go-to for a casual dinner!
Got the Reuben which was one of the best Reubens I've ever had. Also got the French onion soup which was unbelievably salty. Service was great and had that down home pub feel
Cook was spot on with making my grilled chicken platter with ff and LTO. Waitress was friendly and went the extra distance to make the food tasty. She was attentive.
Prompt, friendly service. OUTSTANDING food. Fair warning, the mozzarella logs are enough for the table 😂👌. Seriously delicious. Would recommend. Unpretentious proper pub fare. Little things stood out, romaine on the BLT 👍, asked for a to go box, the server brought a separate container for the au jus. The onion soup wasn't available because they were MAKING it, as opposed to opening a tin or packet. That speaks volumes. To the good.
Finding the BEST Mozzarella sticks and Melba sauce in the capital region continued ... Today I have Graney's Bar & Grill in Albany As always I called in to order and it was ready within 15 minutes. These were huge and they were good. Was hot and fresh upon pick up. Seasoned well. Beautiful cheese pull . I just wish they fried them a little longer. Also wish there was a lil more raspberry sauce. They were definitely good, I would say above average. SCORE Taste: 8/10 Texture: 7/10 Cheese pull : 10 Total: 25/30 PS: all my reviews will be pick up order based 🙃
Came in earlier in the day to see how the spot would hold up for a hockey game that evening. TONS of tv’s. Superb prices. The bartender Gigi(hopefully remembering that correctly) was on point. Just the kind of bubbly attentive service you’d love. We returned in the evening and were blown away by the service then as well. We had the best spot in the house with a huge projector style showing of the game. I was impressed with the French onion soup, which is surprisingly easy to go wrong, but theirs was on point. We can’t wait to visit again.
The food is good but the staff can get a little inattentive if you are not at the bar or with a big group
Great burgers. Friendly girls behind the bar
Go here frequently, good food, great atmosphere, best place in Albany to watch a game
Perfect little bar for grabbing a beer and some appetizers with friends. Excellent staff. Excellent atmosphere.
Good casual sports bar. The service is good and there are always games to watch. Nice local spot.
Solid spot with underrated food. Good place to watch football on Sundays. Try the Irish Nachos!
Nothing noteworthy. Food was just okay. Service was just okay. Environment was loud and the chair I was sitting on broke. Whoops.
Great location. Nondescript but divey charms. Trivia nights are fun. Service is friendly.
Good food for a good price; very loud and packed on a Friday night. Dragonforce was playing on the jukebox.
Local dive. Expect to spend 60 dollars for 4 beverages. Everything takes a long time to get so order all at once.
Excellent wings! Burgers are good too and service is friendly
Bartender Kristen was great! Very attentive and friendly. We'll go back again especially if she's on duty.
Simple Pub Experience, nothing fancy. Graney's is the place to go if you want a couple drinks, some decent pub food and (possibly) catch a game or two on TV. If you're a beer/food snob, you're probably better off somewhere else. Food: The standard pub fare is just what you think: good fried foods (especially the wings and the moz sticks - LOGS, actually...they're huge!) at decent prices. If you go beyond that they can be hit or miss, though the wraps and quesadillas are decent as well. My last visit, I was a bit disappointed by the chicken tenders, both size and quality, that I got in a "best of" their make-your-own sampler option, but the fresh cooked bacon on the potato skins made up for it. Drinks: Pretty standard domestic selection of beers, but lacks the "craft" selection newer and upgraded bars have to offer (they have some, but not much). Beer snobs, beware. That said, the regular deals, prices, and pitchers (as an option to save) make up for it, in my opinion. Mixed drinks are another good option as they're a healthy pour...get a double, it's worth it. Atmosphere: Graney's is like any other local pub except it is COMPLETELY lined with TVs. If you want to catch a game, this is a great place - even better than some nearby "sports bars". It's not the cleanest place in the world (despite a few recent remodels), but if you're complaining about it, you're in the wrong place. The staff are super friendly and generally attractive women - to the point where you might get a "creepy old man" vibe at the bar area (not judging - just saying). And they're competent and quick for the most part unless it's SUPER busy, which it can be during certain times, but not unlike any other place. All in all, It's one of my favorite places to meet up with friends in the area to get a cheap drink/snack or to watch a game. I highly recommend the Mozzarella logs with raspberry sauce and hot-garlic wings - Extra blue cheese, of course. And a 2x IPA OR a double captain and coke to wash it down (if i'm not driving).
Wings are terriffic. Give them an 8.7 on the.bar food scale. Burgers are humongous. Try one & see. Quesos are loaded & filling. Real good experience. Stop by & give 'em a shot. It's specially great when Jack The Wack is sitting next to you.
Great wings and drink specials. Bartenders are cool. Great place for drinks and a game. Cozy and loud just like a fun bar should be.
Liked the blu cheese burger yum me its the local watering hole peeps my age & 20ish something above 25 but cool i like it also b cause its not boo-shee
Good local spot for pub food. Definitely has good portions. I usually swing by at least once when in town.
Friendly staff, wings to die for, would I take my family there, no.
I liked this place. Small, not overly crowded. Food was very good. Recommend the fried pickles. Service was not the best. Forgot one of our orders and was way behind on drink refills, but she was trying. Might have been only server. Not sure. All in all still good place to go to. Especially if you won your first collegiate game as a coach.
Great hole in the wall, quasi sports bar (televisions are showing sport events). If I want a stiff drink, in a no frills atmosphere, decent bar food, I'll go here. Not a place I bring people to impress, but I love the wings and the waitresses. It's not my first choice, but it is old reliable because it is what it is.
Good atmosphere good service. Didn’t get to try their food. I’ve heard good things. More so stopped by for just a drink. Will have to try their food next time.
It's a very cute bar scene, a little loud and overwhelming for my personal preference. The bartender was absolutely lovely, and the food was outstanding. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the customer base. Lots if older men, 3 of whom made me/my friend uncomfortable when we approached the bar to order.
Local bar with average food and good prices. It's a cop hangout. Small and dirty bar.
Friendly wait staff, fair drink prices but the sampler platter was pricey for what you got.Two dart boards in a crouded spot.
Love this bar wish it was open real late alot of people like have a drink at 1 am not happy u close early
This is a small place in the knot of businesses on New Scotland Ave that include restaurants, bars, and other services for the neighborhood around Ontario and Quail Streets. Graney's isn't competing with the new fancy schmancy gastropub-type places and it seems to be staying with the classic pub foods, which makes it feel like there's a little stick in the mud attitude. There are about 20 television screens going, which means wall to wall non-stop flickering. I find this simply annoying. The sounds were also way out of date, and even though they're from my rockin' younger days, it's time to let go after 30 years, in my opinion. So I tried the wings and a salad with a cider to wash it down. Everything was prepared fresh to order. The house greens salad was a mix of salty and sweet and the Italian dressing brought everything together in a crispy delicious and refreshing start to my patched together meal. I had the mild wings, just to get a sense of what their heat scale is, and they were very mild, which was perfect for me both times I had them. I'll probably venture up the heat scale eventually, although there are plenty of other sauce choices beyond the Buffalo sauce. The classic hot sauce was just the ticket for these hearty treats. This is not fine dining, but it's ok pub food and I found the service to be friendly, attentive and responsive to my every need.
This is not bad for a neighborhood bar, but it is not as good as it's reputation might indicate. The food is mediocre, the beer list is good, but nothing special. It's a good sports bar. Nothing more. The pizza is very overrated.
Excellent bar for wings, and service with a smile. However, you may want to avoid the remainder of the menu. The food tends to be bland and dry.
It's got your typical bar food and your typical bar drinks. Just a regular ole bar with a slight dive feel to it. Not a bad place at all to go for drinks, but the food isn't remarkable.
I ordered a well done Pepper jack cheese burger with onion rings. What I got was a medium rare provolone cheeseburger with fries. might've been an off day for staff or food was being rushed out due to online orders. The quality was okay but not what I asked for. Outside of that the bartender was very attentive as far as refilling drinks . The atmosphere is filled with a lotta local old heads.
Gave them a second chance... let me down again. Tasty food but horrible customer service.
One meal the chicken fingers platter was awesome. The french onion soup was honestly the weirdest I have ever tasted. They used a different bread that I have never experienced in any version of french onion soup. We ordered with grubhub. They did not deliver one item but it still does not show if they took it off the bill. We had to order again, from elsewhere. Considering we were charged $55 next time it would be awesome if the order was correct. Applebees is awesome and a life saver.
The wings are really gd but the service was terrible. The bartender is very unprofessional. Called me high maintenance for asking for water with my meal and extra pickles with my burger. She never bothered to write my order so when I got my burger it was wrong. She brought it bk with an attitude and it was still wrong. Then chased me outside demanding to know why I didn't tip her. I def won't be going back there and it's a shame, I've been there once before and the service was great.
My husband and I went because he loves their chicken wings. We were seated and asked immediately what we would like to drink. Everything was fine until we waited 40 minutes for food without any drink refills or water. Our waitress was also tending bar and that seemed to be her focus. When her coworker came in she was too busy taking selfies outside instead of jumping in to help out. We were 1 of 2 tables but when she finally brought our food out it was ice cold! She blamed it all on the kitchen crew. Never had this experience before so hopefully they get it together for future! P.S definitely try the wings just make sure you get them hot! Lol
Horrific... Smells like stale beer. People were nice the food was absolutely tereible
Ordered food on grub hub and only half the order showed up. Called to let graney’s know, they were very rude and said they couldn’t help me. Tater tots that showed up we’re good, but you know- hard to screw up tater tots...
The waitstaff seemed totally put off interested in doing with the customers. I can’t think of anybody who wants to pay a lot of money for bad service. The food was OK but otherwise, I really don’t have much good to say about this place. I think the Fountain is a better choice.
Elana the bartender likes to leave herself tips on your credit card without permission. Which is clearly stealing. When asked to speak to the manager everyone acts clueless. Buts it’s cool that just means they want to see me in person again :)
Found a dead fly in my pizza and when I tried to talk to the manager he laughed and said it’s just protein. I left and immediately called the health department. This place should be shut down.
Went here on a Wednesday night. They were not busy. The bar was not full and there were open tables. We ordered fries with cheese and gravy and two orders of wings. It took them about an hour to get our food out. The waitress angrily dropped the fries off and said "they don't have any gravy". If you don't have gravy, that's fine. The cook should have said something when the order came in, the waitress should have told us and asked us what we wanted to do, and we would have told them to take the fries off. This did not happen. When the waitress dropped off the check the charge for gravy was still on the check, so I told the waitress. We weren't asking her to take the fries off, only to take off the charge for the gravy that we didn't get. She took it and when she returned with the new check, angrily putting it on our table as she walked by. The fries were taken off, which they honestly should have been in the first place. She didn't need to be rude about it. It wasn't our fault she was having a bad day. The wings are pretty good for wings but it's clear that you should only come here for booze, not for food.
Placed an order for a grilled chicken sandwich with dressing. I was so excited to get my meal because Graney's is one of the few places open for nightshift hospital workers to order from these days. When I opened the box, I found a bun with a burnt/charred piece of dry chicken. No sauce, no toppings. There were cold fries and ketchup as a side along with a pickle. I have never been so disappointed with a meal. I tried to call, but only got an answering machine. I don't see myself eating here again. (Friends crispy chicken sandwich was also very charred.)
