Espeto Brazilian Steakhouse

Good, but not great. Not to nit-pick, but it would be 5 stars for me if they cooked the meat a little rarer and marinated it a little more (or maybe used a more flavorful marinade). I would probably go back, but I do wish the meat had a touch more flavor.

The décor wasn't incredible. The restaurant is on the second floor of a strip mall, and it has a pretty view of the river. Me and my father sat inside, and the window we were next to was quite dirty. I don't know the last time it had been washed. The salad bar was delicious, and the lobster bisque was divine. The meat itself was also delicious, and our gaucho and waitress were very friendly. Espeto is definitely a place I'll be going to again.

It was my husbands birthday and we went on a Tuesday night. The restaurant atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was friendly. We were seated by the window and was able to watch the sun set which was beautiful. We started at the salad bar and notice that the greens were old and weltered. The cucumbers were soft. The tomatoes were nice and fresh though, along with the onions. I was not impressed with their selections of sides. They looked reheated. The lobster bisque was just thin juice, no lobster, no rich flavor. The meats they brought to our table was also old and tasted recooked. The gaucho stated they marinade there meats,but there was no flavor. Most of the meat they brought us was dried out. I expected more than what we got for the cost of our meal (42.00 per person) My husband was happy and that's what really mattered, he was of the same opinion with me on most items. He did like the sausage, and my drink (mojito) was good, Over all we think that if we went on the weekend the food would have been fresher.

The service was below par. Also the bread and plantains were on the buffet and you had to keep asking for more. At the other brazilian steakhouse in jacksonville we couldn't even place our fork down before there was another meat choice. Very disappointed, for two adults it was $100 and I just felt it wasn't worth it. The other braz steakhouse was on point, not this one.

They hardly brought any decent steak out- they tried to push the chicken and sausages instead.When we requested more sirloin and filet, they brought pre-cut scraps on a plate and said they didn't have any more. Side dishes were sub-par and the atmosphere is not very good- looks like it's only 1/2 finished with decorating. The food overall was not horrible but way over-priced considering what they deliver.
