Opiniones de Bocado Cafe New York
I had the best brunch that week in New York at this place. I had the Mediterranean Lamb Burger, and it was sooo good! the staff were so friendly and the service was fast and great! The place is beautiful, it was a bit crowded, but that explains how good it is. Love this place, hard to beat!
Our server Ara was outstanding. Food was even better than we expected although we chose Bocado because of the menu online. Thank you for a great experience.
My late great African Art Dealer friend , Lawrence Ramsey said “I don’t eat burger that often, but, when I eat, it has to be the best”.For all burger lovers , Bocado burger is it, the perfect burger.
We found Bocado Cafe while venturing through the Upper West Side in NY- it was a good pick and I would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to sit, relax and have a good meal, even if you're in a rush. I had the pear salad with chicken, my sister had the Fish and Chips (appetizer version)- which was quite large and filling. They have an extensive wine menu so if you're also looking for a refreshing, crisp glass of wine, Bocado is a great pick. My favorite part of this restaurant was not only the food, but the ambiance and decor throughout. We are glad we found this restaurant!
I had a FABULOUS Turkey Club here! Absolutely delicious and good service! Food came quickly but didn’t feel rushed.
Fellow, weary travelers, if you’re visiting New York and you’re on your way to the Met and you’re having a hard day walk 10 minutes over to this space and have yourself a wonderful rosé and experience some very friendly people. I’ve had a difficult family trip and these guys patched me up with some protein some nice rosé and we’re very warm and comforting. I really needed this experience. Thank you so much!
Great dinner! Delicious food, friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I loved this wine bar! The happy hour specials made my day. I needed nothing more than a $7 glass of wine after my full day of traipsing around the city. The Sauvignon blanc was delightful. The avocado, corn, tomato and arugula appetizer called the Bocado Avocado was amazing. It was a very cozy bar where I could rest my feet and study a little. My waiter (Gustavo?) was very attentive and kind.
I like coming here before visiting the museums on 5ave. Delicious breakfast. I ordered their French toast with bacon and eggs. I was nervous on how much fruit my French toast would have because there pictures here where the fruits seems skimped, but Everything came out great. Service was great. You get a free beverage with a breakfast meal. Will be coming back!
Came here for a quick bite after my doctor appointment during lunch and it was great. I don't normally write reviews especially for lunch but the chicken Alfredo was so fresh and delicious. I also had a glass of white sangria and the prosciutto and fig Flatbread. Big portion nut also great. I'll come back for the dinner menu. Service was soild and everyone had a smile.
So I’m always complaining my husband doesn’t take me out so we had an appointment in the area today and we both was like let’s go somewhere to eat and live a little. This place just so happen to be right across the street. So we got seated. Im not sure if we are the type of usuals that come there but ok I guess. When the food came out OMG yalllll it was soooooo gooodddd. I will definitely recommend this place. I’m glad our waitress didn’t have that judgmental type of energy and she was nice. I want to give a big thanks to her she really made my day.
We were delighted with everything! Our server was attentive. The beers were refreshing and our choices for lunch were delicious. The bocado avocado is something I would definitely order again and the lamb burger was perfect! We shared a cheesecake for dessert and it was everything we were hoping for.
Very clean place with quick service. We went around 12:00 during the week and there was no wait and barely anyone there. The staff is very quick to take your order when you’re ready. The food here is a good portion for the price and the taste is great. I would recommend going here but if you’re a picky eater maybe check the menu first (they have great fries though).
Picked this spot for a quick drink before my movie and decided to return for dinner later afterwards. The staff was so friendly and attentive, the decor was very cute and homey. The wine selection was interesting, the Bordeaux stole my taste buds. The food was excellent with perfect portions for dine in and take home additional. I will definitely be returning to this unassuming gem 💎
This is a beautiful restaurant. I sat at the bar and had the full attention of so many wine bottles. I ordered the Baby rocket Arugula salad and it was incredible. The grilled chicken was absolute perfection tender juicy. I also ordered Fried Calamari the appetizer and the meat nestled inside was so delicate and tender that it basically melted in my mouth. Yay! I had to stop myself from inhaling it and asking for more. it's a perfect portion, I was full without being stuffed. It seems the staff helps each other out in a manner that is pleasant and kind. Thanks to my server, Phillip. Definitely will come back and recommend to my friends.
I’ve walked by Bacado’s restaurant many times in route to the 92nd Street Y and it’s always busy. It’s an unusual restaurant since it’s open from 8:30 am til 10pm . I went there for breakfast and actually walked in a few minutes before they opened and the interior with a beautiful bar seems more appealing for lunch or dinner but i had an excellent breakfast: poached eggs on avocado toast with a salad and a latte. I am looking forward to many more meals here! The service was excellent and soon after i arrived, the restaurant began to fill up with customers!
Really quick service. Didn't feel rushed at all. The service was impeccable and the food was great. Great little place to visit if you want a nice lunch. Plus it comes with a complimentary drink
Had a party of 9 they accomadated us with no problem. We were in for brunch had our drinks and ordered our food. Only took a few minutes for our food to arrive. The food was plentiful and delicious. The waitress was a master of her game. Totally professional and had a great heart. If I am ever back will most definitely dine there again.
This place is a fantastic brunch spot on the UES! 🍽️ Bocado offers a fantastic selection of breakfast food 🍳, salads 🥗, pancakes 🥞, and more! Definitely try the Nutella 🌰 Crepe and Avocado 🥑 and Poached Eggs🥚 with Sourdough Bread! 🍞 Weekend brunch orders come with complimentary mimosas 🥂, fresh juice 🧃, or coffee! ☕ Staff 👨🍳 is friendly and professional and service is quick! I wish I knew about this place earlier!
Really enjoyed the soft ambiance and the friendly service here. It’s such a cozy, romantic spot to come enjoy a glass of wine and some appetizers. Very impressive wine list! The prices are a bit steep for the dishes offered, but delicious nonetheless. Also: don’t miss out on their delicious bread that they serve before the meal - the buns in particular were so fresh and memorable.
went here during the holiday season it looks unassuming from the outside once we got inside it was very festive. You were seated rather quickly. There’s lots of seating and even a bar area. We went on the weekend so there was a brunch special. Our server was amazing attentive without being annoying. The burger was great, and the wine was good. Also, lots of good dishes to choose from. Definitely want to go back. I feel like it’s a hidden gem. More people should come here.
Amazing food! The gnocchi was the best I had in years and the veggie burger was so good too. They give complementary juice, mimosa, Bellini or coffee during brunch hours. They gave us the food very fast and although it’s not the cheapest place it’s worth every dollar
C.J is the best waiter that have ever served me and my friends!!! He is super kind and professional! He made this restaurant super special in the most positive way. I think he loves his work and all of our friend could see this!! I would for sure recommend him to you!! I have never met better waiter. Food was also super delicious. The waiter was taking care of us all the time and he was making sure if we feel great
Stopped in after an evening at the Guggenheim not too far away and were automatically greeted by such a warm and welcoming host. We were promptly served our pitcher of red sangria by our attentive server as he guided us through our selections of delicious bites including the Bocado fries, sea scallops, and flatbread with prosciutto.
Service was stellar. Clean bathrooms. We had a reservation for a large party we were seated and served quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the lunch prefix really hit the spot. Truffle feta fries were a hit as well as the calamari. Fresh ingredients used for veggie burgers. We blindly chose this restaurant because of proximity to MET. I will definitely return and recommend others.
Went on a Sunday for early brunch. The food was phenomenal. Burger was messy and great - the raw onions could have been excluded. My cousin said the waffle was maybe the best she has ever had. A good outside crunch w a very soft interior. The latte was very frothy and full of flavor. The mimosa w fresh squeezed orange juice was superior. I would DEF come back.
Visiting our daughter in the City and she picked this place near her apartment. Very pricey, but it seems like that's the trend these days. Food was excellent, with a menu that offered a nice variety. Service was adequate. 4 people, we all enjoyed our lunches. We had one appetizer we shared, I had a beer, and the other three had 2 glasses of champagne each, 1 dessert. $265 including tip.
Bocado Cafe offers an excellent array of coffees, teas, and alcoholic drinks. The Cremini Mushroom flatbread was alright, not quite the best. The Bacon & Egg flatbread pizza, on the other hand, was an absolute fantastic dish! The bacon was sliced generously, and the egg + hollandaise sauce was amazing as a combination. Finally, for dessert we had the salted caramel chocolate souffle which was delicious, albeit incredibly sweet. The ambiance was slightly claustrophobic and due to the space, indoor dining was quite loud during lunch hours. Staff were kind and attentive.
Stopped by here for dinner - I’ve always passed by, but have never actually eaten here until now. Overall, had a lovely experience. Our server was pretty friendly, and the outdoor dining ambiance is cozy and quiet - perfect for dining with a friend or coming here for a date. For appetizers, we ordered the truffle fries to start which were pretty good. Not the best truffle fries I’ve ever had but they were definitely flavorful and were generous on the portion size (perfect for splitting). Drinks wise, we ordered one of their cider beers, a Rossini (sparkling wine + strawberries) and a Bellini. I’ve never had a Rossini before but it was a little strange haha, I definitely preferred the Bellini and would recommend that instead. For our meals, we ordered the bolognese and the fusilli primavera. Both were very tasty, the pasta was cooked well for both. Sometimes primavera can be on the blander side but this one had a lot of flavors, a little salty maybe because of the capers, but still very enjoyable. Would recommend if you’re looking for a causal night out for dinner!
The burger looked good ... Brussels started were quite good Wouldn't go back for steak or cheesecake or ice cream
I came here today with a two of my girlies and the food was amazing. The wait for the food was worth it, but it definitely took a lot longer than expected. I ordered the steak Benedict, my two friends ordered the bocado burgers. Their home fries were delicious and well seasoned/cooked. The steak was cooked a little more tougher than medium rare but it was still yummy nonetheless. The poached eggs on my Benedict were a bit over cooked but I didn’t mind it too much. I drenched it all in Tabasco hot sauce anyways so it all just tasted amazing and I was starving. Their Bellinis are tasty and it was nice that they did a complimentary drink (tea, coffee, mimosa, Bellini) with the purchase of an entree. Their menu is more of a lunchy than breakfast vibes but they have a large variety of egg dishes and multiple burgers/sandwich options and pasta (!) to order from. We were also able to pay with 3 separate cards, which is a major plus for large groups! ⭐️Overall: 8.1 ⭐️ Great family friendly environment with good music as well!
I really appreciated their hospitality in serving me and providing me with warm water. The food tasted good. I think the bread quality could be way better. I was so hungry as I walked into the restaurant. I actually walked in because I could not find any other place to buy food. I saw google images of dishes they have and wanted to try due to my hunger. Alhamdulillah.
My friends and I stumbled upon this place after an event uptown. We were pleasantly surprised with the attentive service, decent prices and generous portions. If you are considering a side order of breakfast sausages, I would recommend sharing. We definitely thought we were only getting a couple links per side order. A beverage was also included in the price of our brunch entree, so the value is definitely there!
Bocado Cafe is an affordable upscale culinary institution. Perfect for Sunday brunch, especially prices. The food literally melted down into our mouths and they offer you a free first drink - coffee or mimosa. This installation is ergonomically comfortable. We like the incandescent bulbs scattered around the premises. The service has been phenomenal and we shall return.
Came here for brunch and ordered the Quesadilla Benedict. the food was okay. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the Quesadilla variant of the classic. What I loved the most was the complimentary mimosa with brunch! The service was also very nice. I will be coming back to try something else from their brunch menu.
Sunday brunch day found this via Open Table and made a reservation for the bar. Arrived on time for the reservation and there were a couple seats at the bar, and cleared out quickly after my arrival so I became the only one. The staff was very polite and attentive. I ordered the French toast along with a glass of wine. French toast didn't need any syrup as the toppings were perfect. The side of bacon helped even out the sweetness. I'd come back to try other items on the menu and perhaps another time outside of brunch.
I went to Bocado for dinner before attending Shakespeare on the park later that night. Bocado was not my initial restaurant of choice, but finding that one full I remembered this was nearby. I am so glad I did! The food was phenomenal! I had the grilled steak with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection. This might have been the best steak I’ve had in months. The service was OK. And if the weight staff had been a bit more attentive to the diminishing level of my drink, this restaurant easily could have gotten a full 5-stars. As it turned out, this meal was the best part of the evening, because the performance of Shakespeare was sadly disappointing.
Randomly walked into this place on a Saturday night and so glad we did- it was a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere! It isn't obnoxious with 500 TVs blaring in your face, and the servers are very attentive. I believe it's only wine and beer at the bar, but it's a good place if you just want to chat with friends and catch up :) They have a decent selection of food as well- I was very satisfied with the pesto rigatoni
Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Reasonably priced, very clean. You can feel the vibrations from the subway. Hi Lenny of outdoor and indoor seating. We went around 5pm on Wednesday and it wasn’t crowded so we were able to enjoy our lattes and have a chat without any struggle. The lava cake with ice cream was amazing. Staff was friendly.
Solid brunch spot with some international flair like halloumi and croque madame sandwiches. Great staff, and cozy interior. Affordable for NY
Beautiful bistro type establishment on the upper east side. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The brunch does come with a complimentary drink (coffee, juice, mimosa, Bellini, or Rossini), but when I ordered the coffee iced, it tasted more like cold brew than iced coffee. The pancakes are very filling!!
I enjoyed my time here! The place was full house, on a Sunday during lunch time. I had a veggie burger with salad on the side. Usually side salads are bland lettuce but this one was a level up. The veggie patty was lentil based & it was soft, tasted pretty good. They had complimentary drinks on the house too. We walked in but making a reservation couldn't hurt.
Went for Sunday brunch - group of 4. Reserved table beforehand, no wait. Brunch comes with a drink - Bellini, mimosa, orange juice, or coffee. OJ tasted fresh, pulp which I like. We spent about $35 pp. Felt on the pricier side especially waffles, pancakes for $25-27 which we did not opt for. Still, would return as a special outing with friends for good food at a convenient location with good ambiance. Pictured: crab cake burger, omelettes, eggs Benedict.
Today we ordered a dinner set, mussels, and steak and Frites. The bread was average. The mussels had good flavor, but a bit too salty. In addition, the mussels are too tiny, see photo 5. The dinner set we choose Caesar salad, Bocado burger, and Tiramisu. Everything was pretty good. The salad dressing was very nice and not overpowering. The burger patty was thick and juicy, and they were very generous with the avocado slices and cheese. The steak and frites were very good. The steak was well seasoned and very tender. The frites were nice crispy and thick. I was able to taste the slightly sweetness of the potatoes. The roasted carrots were nice, too. Tiramisu was very delicious. Overall, it was a nice meal, but spent more money than I expected.
Was a bit underwhelmed with my visit to Bocado. Since it always seems busy I decided to pop in and try it. We got the burger and the flatbread. The flatbread did not have much taste which was upsetting since it looked really good. The burger was pretty good however it could have been bigger. Service was slow. 3 stars.
Although the food was good, the brunch deal was definitely lacking (you get 1 mimosa glass included with a dish) and definitely not bottomless. I would want to sit inside next time to experience the atmosphere more, as the outside seating was not very pleasant either. Would not go back for brunch
Met our uncle here for brunch today. It was very loud to the degree that we had to shout to communicate. Busy but lots of tables free. I understand it's hard to find help but service was seriously lacking. They would bring water to the table next to us but not fill ours. We ordered coffee, it came 15min after other drinks arrived. 2 of 3 meals arrived a full 5 minutes before the 3rd one came. It's clear from the eggs benedict that they're using medium sized eggs. Tasty but really nothing special, server never came back. Overall, kind of lacking.
Service and ambience are good, food just okay. A bit overpriced, but I presume that’s the way of big cities. Three people, two apps, three entrees plus three drinks $178.
I recently visited a bustling brunch spot, and while the ambiance was lively, but it gets really busy so I would suggest making reservations early on. Service: The service at this establishment was prompt for the most part. Our coffees and water were refilled without having to ask, which was appreciated. However, I found it off-putting when the waiter asked if we wanted the check while we were still enjoying our food. It felt a bit rushed and could have been handled more tactfully. Food: The food had its ups and downs. The French toast, served with maple syrup on the side, was satisfying and met expectations. However, the avocado toast with poached eggs fell short. It lacked seasoning, leaving it bland and unremarkable. Additionally, the side salad accompanying the dish was uninspired, lacking flavor and freshness. Overall, while the ambiance and some aspects of the service were enjoyable, the inconsistency in the food quality detracted from the overall experience.
Food 3/5 Bland. I understand that omelettes are supposed to be a certain way and I give a pass for me having to add salt but there was literally no flavor or other seasonings. I am unsure if this is some purist mentality for omelettes but I am not for it, and for $25 I was shocked by the lack of flavor. Only thing that my food had going for it was the dressing for my arugula salad and the toast with butter Service was good but felt like I was being rushed out the door when already standing putting on my coat. I’m going to start implementing a rule because a trend I have noticed with more expensive restaurants is the food is more lackluster. My theory is that restaurants that can afford to set lower prices for food is because their food is good, popular, and able to compensate with high volume and sales to make up for lower price.
I attended a family gathering on this 2025 Thanksgiving Day, I gathered to have dinner with 10 members of my family and I was very disappointed and embarrassed since 2 of them came from Florida. I ate from the thanksgiving menu, the Butternut Squach soup was Luke warm so I sent it back to get heated. It was sweet so I didn’t eat it all. The entree appearance was messy, the carrots were wilted, the Turkey was dry and it tasted gamey. The mash potatoes were cold and dry and the bread putting was, never mind. I ordered apple pie and Ice cream and you ran out so we’re stuck with another choice that also ran out! I had to pay $70.00 and lowest gratuity however it wasn’t the waiters fault! I would like a full refund back! I still am Very disappointed! I would like my money back!!!
I’ve been to Bocado before and had a decent experience—the food was mediocre, but the ambiance and setup are cozy and inviting. This visit, however, was disappointing. We were seated right in the middle of the restaurant, and when we politely asked to move, the host was not accommodating. Instead of addressing it personally, she sent the server to say all the tables were booked, even though there were clearly plenty of empty tables. Frustrated, we decided to leave. Later, while passing by another spot, we noticed that Bocado still had open tables—very disappointing. Hopefully, they can improve their seating and customer service.
