I haven't had any better customer service from any place in Houston, Tx, like I get at this place of business. The food is all ways hot and freash, the staff is all ways educated on what the have on the specials for the day and it's all ways clean and we'll organized. I take my hat off to the, Mandolas Family. You guys are awesome and have come a very very long way. So if your in town and looking for a nice, elegant, reasonable priced restaurant THIS IS THE PLACE 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Drive by it all the time and finally stopped in. Incredibly fresh food that is priced at a premium yet is worth every penny between the great flavors and big portions. My girlfriend and I split two apps and an entree which was more than enough food. Snapper Martha was 🔥🔥. If you go, order something from the Fresh Fish! Service was fantastic, will definitely be back!
Party of 5, first time here. It was a GRAND experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant, staff was beyond welcoming. The GM Laurie assured our time there was great. Rebbeca was the most loveliest, made my party feel included and comfortable. Food was delicious as well as its presentation. Definitely will be back next trip to Houston.
Excellent food and great service. We went to brunch without a reservation, but they were still able to fit us in quickly. This place gets very busy so we were lucky to get a table. The team there works together, even the hostess was out bringing things for patrons and checking on tables. The food was perfection. We all shared our plates because they have such interesting and tasty dishes. The prices weren’t too bad. We live just a few blocks from here so we will definitely be back.
I should have made reservations! I used to frequent the W.Gray location often, so as soon as the new location opened I decided to give it a try at 7:45pm on a thursday. Well... there was a 45 min wait and I was dying for some crawfish raviolis...So I placed my order and took it to go! It was as good as ever, what I love about this restaurant is the consistency. I think that the crawfish ravioli is one of their best dishes. If you have never been to this restaurant It is THE dish to try! and it comes with a salad! This restaurant is a Houston Staple and any Houstonian who has not been should be ashamed!
This is a very nice place. 5 star service and top quality food. Be prepared to pay a little above other restaurants but totally worth it. Top quality food. Worth the trip. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere. Waiter was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was excellent. They allow you to mix the menu up which I loved, because I'm picky.
We were there for the first time attending a birthday party. The food and the service were exceptional. We will be back and will be sure to frequent their new location.
First class. Had gulf oysters, plump and delicious. Gumbo was great, beautiful crab meat and seafood, absolutely no shells. David, who served us at the bar, was professional and friendly, as was the entire staff. Enjoyed the Snapper Phyllis, delicious, and even got to meet Phyllis, Mrs. Mandolla herself. She was exceedingly kind and welcoming. Clean, tasty table water. Real soft blue cheese in the martini olives. All details were accounted for, a wonderful dining experience.
Excellent food and service. I didn't have any drinks so I cannot speak about that. Would definitely recommend the calamari and the fried catfish. Their homemade tartar sauce was incredible!!!
Came here for my birthday. Excellent food. For entree, I got the Snapper Martha, and my mother got the fish tacos. For an appetizer, we got the tuna & avocado. We used the yelp offer to get a free dessert and got the Pecan Pie & Banana Key Lime Pie. Service was on par for where it should be during Covid. You can tell they’re possibly understaffed and drink refills could go faster. But to fault a business during a time like this would be silly. I will return.
My husband and I were greeted by Tony and Phyllis as we entered for Sunday lunch. I can highly recommend the Cesar Salad, Garlic Bread, Fried Oysters and the best ever...Rainbow Trout topped with crab and shrimp. We finished off the meal with their most moist Chocolate Cake and Vanilla ice cream, both of which are made in house! Needless to say our first visit to Tony Mandola's was a hit.
Recommend by our bellman...did not disappoint. Chicken and waffles=perfection; jalapeño bacon jam a perfect compliment, chicken fried chicken biscuit and eggs are a sizable portion, so come hungry. Bottomless mimosa and bellini are worth the up charge. Highly recommend reservations on a Sunday unless you arrive early.
The owner stepped outside where we were seated to check on us. We all thought that was really sweet. My kale was great and my friends enjoyed their seafood spaghetti.
Always a great dining experience at Tony's. I have been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed in the food, service, or wine selection. The free valet parking is really nice bonus too!
For my last night in Houston, having already experienced fantastic low and slow bbq, I was torn between quality "tex orleans" and a great steak. I was able to enjoy both. Fantastic deeply murky gumbo and then a perfect rib eye perfectly cooked. And great service from Rafael at the bar.
absolutely enjoyed celebrating my wife's birthday at this restaurant.... the staff and management are very pleasant, and I even got a chance to take a pic with Tony himself! the food was excellent! loved it! I will mention this place to my friends and family!
A mainstay of Houston eateries. Excellent dishes, good wine list, pricey. Waitstaff a bit slow sometimes during the week (odd); however, that shouldn't deter any seafood lover from going. Well worth it.
Food is amazing here! Their warm garlic bread was the best I've had in my life. They have a good cocktail menu as well as great service.
New surface to the parking lot. Handicapped parking very near to door. Valet was very helpful and allowed me to park my own car in the handicapped area. Went to a function in the private room. Perfect size for the event. The hors d'oeuvres had a good variety and tasty. Loved the spicy mozerella cheese balls. Meat balls were in a tomato based sauce which is much more tasty than sweedish meatballs. Wait staff was exceptionally helpful! Service was excellent and my pet peeve about too few chairs at an event like this was satisfied. They placed chairs around the entire walls of the room, everyone who had to sit down was able to sit. All in all, this facility and service in the private room was amazing.
Went for Valentine's and the food was superb! Enjoyed blackened salmon and bacon wrapped prime steak was to die for. To top it off Mr. & Mrs. Mandola introduced themselves and thanked us for dining with them.
A treat! My friends and I stopped by Tony Mandola’s for a nightcap after a rather disastrous dining experience elsewhere. After a friendly greeting room was made for us at the bar. Service was fab as were the cocktails and coffee liqueur drinks. Tony, as warm as I remembered from when I was more of a regular at his old location, seemingly having heard of our earlier dining travails surprised us by having a slice of yummy key lime pie delivered to us. Memories of our bad experience elsewhere that evening melted away as the key lime pie melted in our mouths. We have been back twice since for dinner. Meat, fish, pasta ~ dishes to appeal to every palate!
Very well presented and excellent service. The food is delicious and the drinks were the best my hats off to this establishment and it hard ownership to keep this restaurant going ... I would definitely recommend it to friends and family...
I have been here for happy hour more than sit down dinner. But last week was one of those dinner dates. Loved the fried catfish and the side of slaw with the nuts. Top notch place.
The Bass was delicious with blackened shrimp and scallops. As a side dish I had brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Both were very good, too. My husband had the key lime pie that was very creamy. My coconut cream pie was good but not excellent.

Updated March 2020: Visited again and it is still wonderful. This time I had striped bass topped with crab, blackened scallops and blackened oysters in a butter sauce. The oysters were the best I have ever had. I would have been happy with a plate of those. Our waiter recommended the faro and kale side. I usually would not choose that, but it was delicious. My wife had a steak. It was wonderful as well. Just a great meal in a beautiful dining room! Original August 2019: Had a fantastic Houston Restaurant Weeks meal here with my wife. Everything was great. Our appetizers were crab cakes and seafood gumbo. The crab case was a loose patty. Very fresh crab without too many fillers. It came with a great guacamole on the side. The gumbo was outstanding. Our entrees were the redfish and short ribs. The fish was grilled and has a great butter lime sauce. Cooked perfectly. It came with healthy portions if green beans and mashed potatoes. The short rib was fork tender and very tasty. It came with mushroom risotto that was great as well. Our desserts were the crepes and pecan pie ala mode. We liked the crepes better, especially the strawberry filled. The pie was a very good classic pecan pie. The whole staff did a wonderful job. Our waiter was there when we needed help, but never intrusive. The food arrived at the table exactly when we wanted it. Just a great job all around. The restaurant is moderately loud. It had a nice energy for our dinner. It is a beautiful dining room. We have nothing negative to say about the dinner. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant for a great evening.
We booked our wedding rehearsal dinner at Tony Mandola's this past weekend, and it was OUTSTANDING! We spoke with Saul for all of the planning, menu, and beverage selections. He was very responsive and accommodating. We accidentally underestimated the guest count, and the servers were so prompt in making sure we had extra seating to accommodate the additional guests. The food was fabulous! We selected the Texan Private Dining Menu. All of our guests were raving about the food after. The service was excellent! Mr. Mandola was so kind and paid us a visit during our dinner to ensure that everything was up to par. The dinner and service exceeded our expectations! I highly, highly recommend Tony Mandola's for any special occasion. My family wants to come back to Houston just to go again. I can't wait to go back!
Went there for Houston restaurant week. It always sounded too old-fashioned and expensive. The prices are reasonableon the regular menu for the quality and amazing with restaurant week. The food was awesome , especially the various ways of preparing oysters, and the hurricanes are frozen, tasty, strong, and cheap by current Houston standards. And a credit to them, the service was impeccable even though we were restaurant week customers. And my friend was dressed for tennis!
Servers are attentive, warm, and friendly. Atmosphere is light and upscale. The seafood is superb: everything from oysters to scallops were a joy. There's no dress code, but you'll feel more comfortable in business casual.
Fantastic! Service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely. Celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday with a surprise party. Saul Corona, the private event coordinator, was very helpful. The night couldn’t have have gone any better. Highly recommended. Thank you Tony Mandola’s & staff for a wonderful evening!
We just ate at Tony Mandola's last night and had two fabulous meals. The service was top notch and our entrees were wonderful. We had the Shrimp Scampi and Borracho Shrimp, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. We were too full to even try the desserts! I would definitely recommend Tony's to friends!
As always, Tony Mandola’s Gulf Coast Kitchen was superb, a Houston treasure. We were there for lunch which offers a more limited menu but still plenty of choices....perfectly prepared and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely return on our next visit.
This is the best seafood restaurant in Houston! The food is ALWAYS fresh and prepared exactly as requested. The portions are always enough for a doggie bag, if you are able to stop eating. Their service is extremely professional as well. I would bet you can not find a better place for fresh fish then Mandola's Restaurant. Excellent experience :)
We dine at Tony Mandola's about once a month. We always receive the best of service and delicious food. All the staff seem determined to make each diner's experience ideal. A quality establishment with fresh seafood, unique dishes and a moderate sound level. Highly recommend.
Amazing atmosphere and super helpful staff!!! There's only valet parking available, but also parking immediately behind restaurant on street. (WATCH FOR NO PARKING SIGNS!) The food was AWESOME!!! There is a limited menu due to Covid. I was sad I didn't get a chance to try the lemon pancakes... That will always be a regret of mine now. *sigh* However, everything that is still on the menu, SUPERB!!!
Clean and very upscale! Loved it! Food was great, as well as the service. We were met & greeted at the door by the owner, who told me they were waiting for us! We were there for my husband's 72nd birthday. Daughter purchased a groupon for us and son ordered a bottle of champagne! It was very nice. They pd. particular attention to the almost 3 yr. old great grand son, who behavied very good! Thank you, Tony Mandola! Impecable!
Great spot for brunch. I went there with my friends for the first time and I really enjoyed it. The server was very friendly and took good care of us. I ordered the chicken and waffles. We also enjoyed our cocktails. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was great. Overall great experience.
Made a trip downtown to enjoy a nice dinner, the restaurant was great from the start with the valet parking to the menu choices, atmosphere and service. My spouse had the salmon and I had the ahi tuna. Both dishes were fantastic. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a full length bar. There was live music during our visit too which was pleasant and not intrusive. Great value for the experience!
Having been my first time here, I really enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the friendly service! I had never had oysters before, but they were so delicious that I was honestly surprised that I really enjoyed them! The shrimp scampi along with the Moscato were both very delicious! Highly recommend this place for a nice dinner with friends or with a date!
The atmosphere was awesome. Food... everything I ate was excellent. My family enjoyed their food as well. Parking is a bit of a bother, basically valet or park on the street. The dining area we (family of 13) we're in was very cold. When we spoke with our waiter Johnny, he immediately addressed the issue. He was very attentive and courteous. This restaurant qualifies as a "special occasion" place. But my husband and I will definitely be returning.
Absolutely delicious. We had some grilled oysters and gumbo to start, both of which were great. Our waiter talked up the Snapper Martha and it lived up to expectations when I ordered it! Great place for date night or special occasions.
One word. Amazing. Customer service? Amazing. Attentive, informative and friendly input. Quality of seafood and chicken entrees? Amazing, easily top quality with flavorful seasoning and cooked to perfection. I had the blackened snapper dish and my date had John Kim's chicken and pasta dish. I haven't had seafood this fresh and well cooked since I went to NOLA. The owner personally ensured a quality experience. From appetizer to dessert, the quality of the dishes exceed expectations. The atmosphere is a good blend between upscale seafood and a fun NOLA/Marco gras type place ideal for dates, hanging out with friends or family. Would highly recommend!
Our food was delicious. I was a little annoyed that when I asked for a lunch menu I was told by the hostess that they were on dinner. When I asked isn't lunch till 4pm she said she would check with the kitchen and then came back with the lunch menus. Maybe she was new but you should know your times for lunch and dinner however she was pleasant and we were able to order lunch. Food and drinks were good. Happy hour is from 3-6:30 not 3-7 as per their website.
Es el mejor restaurante de houston saludos a todos y al sr tony y a tony jr
Deliciosa comida , bonito lugar, excelente servicio 🥰
Muy buen sabor
Muy Elegante í muy buena atención
Muy agradable y excelente servicio
👌 sabor de la comida
I like going for brunch. And I always get great service sitting at the bar vs sitting at a table! The drinks are great but the food is just okay. I would give 3 stars but the bar staff made me give an extra star
Terrific food. I was alone, however, at the table side. There were four couples, well-spaced, at the bar. Oysters (12) and scampi on angel hair, with a crisp white wine. I left a nice tip for the service. Pricy $$$.
Took my girlfriend here for date night and it was great. The atmosphere was nice, very quiet. We started the evening with the mussels and it was by far the most delicious plate of mussels I've ever had. For the main course my date had the stuffed shrimp and pasta. She loved it. I had the mahi mahi with the decadent topping and it was truly decadent and delicious. To finish we split the molten chocolate cake. That's where my one issue lies. It was not a molten cake. When I think of a molten cake I think of a liquid chocolate center. This cake did not have that center instead it was just moist. I would still recommend this place for any occasion.
This place is an upscale Houston classic restaurant. This is one of my neighborhood restaurants and I love it. I always go and sit at the bar with my roommate and we always get top notch service from the bartender. The food is always a tasty New Orleans-meets-Italy fare with a Texas twist. I love their salad dressing and the bartender usually gives a generous pour of wine when I order by the glass. If you're on a budget, this would be a great place to go during restaurant week. I usually go and get a salad, appetizer and a glass or two of wine. Give it a try and you won't regret it.
Very solid seafood in an casual environment. Super nice staff. Had Mama's gumbo and it was very good. Also has fried shrimp and it was not great. Tastes like cornmeal, not shrimp. Very nice wine list too.
Delicious chili relleno.
Muy impresionante
Many time since 2012, With a reservation here on Friday evening to celebrate my love one's birthday. It was pretty quiet at 6:30 pm. Our starter was baked Oysters, not bad just litter too small, all our entrees are delicious in generous portion, we have the succulent filet mignon, a delicious pan seared rainbow trout with kernel corn and a pasta angel hair with grilled jumbo shrimp. This evening dinner service was just okay. a little disappointed is that, someone of the restaurant suppose to come to congrats my birthday lady. Frankly speaking, as a card member of their El. Tiempo restaurants, I noticed that this location is pretty much becoming a senior dining place. I do hope the management will get to know this by doing something to attract and acquire guest of other ages, otherwise it might happened to weakening their competition in the same field.
Classy, but only because it's so costly that fancy rich folk go there. Food is decent, but not worth the cost. Many places have better selection, prices and taste. The servers were professional though
The food here is pretty good and the atmosphere is very nice, but please have the servers stop trying to remove plates from the table before everyone is finished! We practically had to fend off the waiter on a couple of occasions because we were not finished with the food.
For Mother's Day I was treated along with my the aunts to the four course Groupon dinner. When we arrived imagine our surprise to find that they didn't take the deal on holidays... But the manager quickly took care of that and we continued on with our dinner.. The food was great and I was pleased.
Food was good, but not great especially considering the price. Bread pudding was dry and barely warm. Service overall was horrible. I have to feel it was at least partly because we were using a living social groupon. They didn't seem anxious to honor it and seemed bothered instead. The longest conversation we had with our waiter was taking the order. Other than that if he came it was for 5 seconds to tell us something then immediately leave. I understand you can get busy, but don't expect happy customers when you act that way.
We wanted to make one last visit before this location closes so we decided to go for our Anniversary Brunch this past Sunday. Evidently the Dress Code on Sundays is much different than a normal Business Lunch during the week. It looked like CLUB NIGHT on WASHINGTON AVE. Our server was Excellent, the food was Mediocre at best and it's no wonder they're closing the location as I observed three tables just around ours that the entire time continued to be served FREE Mimosa's while sharing a plate of food. Two people at one table one plate in the middle, Three people at another two plates, and Four people at another table and I only saw two appetizers being served.
The food was good but the service not so good. I didn't like the servers tone and that was the consensus at the table. To top it off, they have everyone there meal except one of my friends at the table. Literally came out after giving everyone else their meal and said "sorry we are out of the lobster." Who does that!?
It was our first time here. The atmosphere was nice but the food could have been better. For a $200 tab I should have wanted to take something home. I actually ended up leaving my to go plate. Oops.....guess I really didn't want it. I think it's more so the atmosphere and not the food because it was a nice size croud by the time we left. I feel for how much we spent, the food should have been a lot better. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Drink was nice but the food was really bland! I am a pasta person and I expected way more flavor and seasoning to it...for the price, the taste was a super no no! Hubs had the catfish and same thing, we were not impressed with the taste. The gumbo soup tasted good! We won't be going back for food, maybe just drinks!
They have complimentary valet not sure why when parking lot is not that big. Service from waiter was not that pleasant he just wasn't friendly at all. I guess because of the size of our party (15 ppl). We had to keep asking for silverware, napkins, syrup, drinks etc Food was great, fresh and nice size portions! Reasonable prices and menu options for brunch on Sundays!
We have been here a few times since we live near. Most experiences have been sub par food and non existent bar service. We went in last week. Sat at the bar for about 10 minutes ( 2 other customers at the bar) and then left. No one came to get a drink order. I may go back if someone wants to go there but I would never suggest it.
The meal my wife and I had at Tony Mandola’s on the evening of 5/10/2016 was very disappointing. The service was attentive and courteous, but the drinks and food left much to be desired. First, the drinks: My wife ordered a gin and tonic, with Tanqueray, but what was delivered didn’t taste quite right to either of us. Either the bartender didn’t use Tanqueray, or the tonic water was of very poor quality. The gin and tonic was returned at no charge, and replaced by a $16 margarita using Patron Silver, and no salt. However, it was delivered WITH salt, which was subsequently wiped from the glass and brought back to us. The margarita was ok, but a bit overly sweet to our taste. My Rob Roy was drinkable, but I should have ordered it with a quality scotch (or Irish) whiskey, rather than allowing the use of the well scotch, which in my opinion was not of top quality. That was my fault. For appetizers, my wife ordered the “Zuppe Tomas”, which was quite nice, and was served with excellent white and blue corn tortilla chips. I had the crab cakes, which were merely average, and rather small. They contained sufficient crab meat, but it was shredded, and not in lumps of any size. The taste was rather bland, with very little spice. I would not order them in the future. My wife selected the mixed seafood grill as her entrée. The grilled snapper actually was red snapper, was fresh, and very good, but the extremely small scallops were only average. The jumbo shrimp were severely overcooked, with a rubbery texture; although they tasted ok. (The single grilled jumbo shrimp that topped my entrée had the same problem). The asparagus and spinach were properly cooked, and excellent. I ordered the “Sea Bass Bebe” (which is actually Patagonian Toothfish, the same as in all restaurants – look it up). It was served severely undercooked. The fish would not flake, and the flesh was still translucent and tough. The topping consisted of roasted peppers, a few small bits of crabmeat, and a single, extremely overcooked grilled shrimp. What was served was not correctly described in the menu, which states that “Sea Bass Bebe” consists of “Grilled Chilean sea bass with grilled jumbo shrimp, jumbo lump crab meat, and roasted peppers in a basil wine butter sauce”. The “jumbo lump crab meat” was nowhere to be found. When I returned the sea bass to be properly cooked, I was asked if I would like another drink while I waited. I assumed this would be gratis, because my wife was already eating her entrée. However I was charged $8 for a Jack Daniels, neat, in a rocks glass. This drink, they managed to get right, I suppose, because of its simplicity. Once my properly cooked entrée was served the second time, the fish was very nice. The sea bass was fresh, and had a good flavor. However, when the fully-cooked fish was returned to the plate, the minute amount of original crabmeat topping was completely missing. Either the chef forgot the topping, or decided the original, sparse bits of crabmeat topping (that had disappeared in the re-cooking of the fish) had been sufficient. However, the single, rubbery, severely overcooked, grilled jumbo shrimp was still there. The overcooked shrimp was not the result of re-cooking the fish because, as mentioned above, my wife’s grilled shrimp were overcooked to the same degree. My wife ordered a seasonal berry cobbler to go, and it was excellent, apparently made with what seemed to be actual local dewberries. To top off the evening, I was provided with a pen that wouldn’t write when I tried to total and sign the credit card invoice. I used a pen that my wife always carries in her purse. For a $150 bill, not including tip, we were very disappointed with the dinner, given all the problems we experienced. We have had much better dining experiences at other restaurants, at less than a third the price.
Our service took very long. It was almost an hour before we even got bread and to put our order in. The calamari that I ordered was very soggy. The lobster bisque was actually really good. I probably wouldn’t come back here.
Went as a group. Ordered the calamari appetizer, and a steak. Calamari is not bad. The steak was not aged well or wasn’t trimmed after aging, giving off a slightly rotten stench. Cooked to medium rare, but texture was chewy, wondering if it were really prime beef. The sauce, which I didn’t ask for but nonetheless applied, btw not even on the side, was strangely a little sweet. Overall disappointing for supposedly a nice piece of meat. Also tried the stuffed jalapeño/shrimp appetizer. Shrimp had a strong chlorine smell, like from tap water. Service was very good though.
My first time here and it was NOT a pleasant experience. Waited 20 mins before anyone asked us for a drink order. Over priced and the crawfish were no bigger than my thumb. Shrimp EXTREMELY over cooked and the staff was less than impressive. Oysters were small also. Everything tasted good and that why the two stars instead of one.
Oysters and peel and eat shrimp were good. Snapper Martha was tasty but for $45 I expected more food. Calamari and meatballs on happy hour menu weren't good. Also, $7 drinks for happy hour?! No. Won't be back.
Nice atmosphere, plenty of space with tables, decorations are a little eclectic. The food was not in line with other reviews. The majority of it tasted frozen/microwaved. Not completely terrible but not in line with the price point and type of restaurant. Plenty of better options in Houston.
We've been here for dinner before and have never been really impressed but thought we'd give it another try. Again, mediocre food at best for higher prices. The restaurant is nice, the service is good, but with so many other places in Houston we have many other better options at this price point. Brenner's, Rainbow Lodge, Caracol, America's, etc...all provide significantly better quality food!
Although the waiter we had was nice, the food was a whole other story. First off, it was our wedding anniversary and although we made that known to the restaurant, no one acknowledged it. We ordered the calamari off the happy hour menu and for the price, the portions were extremely small. Like ridiculously small. So we sent that back. I can say that the chicken gumbo off the happy hour menu was good My husband's food came out and his snapper was so bland. He did not enjoy it. No flavor. Nothing special. I had ordered the rodeo deal which was the lobster and the ribeye steak. I asked for it to be medium. When I cut into it, it was basically medium rare. The inside looked raw and uncooked. The lobster was tough. The only good thing about the steak is that I was able to take it home and cook it to my liking. We didn't even bother ordering dessert since we weren't having such a good experience. We won't return.
Wasn't seated for a while, even with a reservation. Food was only ok, and our appetizer had a piece of hair in it. Manager didn't care or say much. The waiter was the only good part of the restaurant and took care of our bill.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with any establishment. For a four or five star restaurant, you expect to pay for nicer food and attentive staff. That's not what you get. I got Jack n the Box food for a 5 star price. My entree order, very simple, it was a burger fries and coleslaw and I got a burger that tasted equivalent to Jack in the Box. I refused to eat it. I did not get the coleslaw and I got freezer burned fries. The meat patty tasted like it was nuked from the freezer. However, the appetizer was awesome, but simply not enough to save this review. I do not recommend this establishment. It is incredibly overpriced and not to mention, it took an hour and a half to get a burger! Unbelievable! It also took another 30 mins to get my bill at the end of this fiasco of a night and that of which I didn't eat the entree. With poor quality of food, poor unattentive staff and having to wait 2 hours when the restaurant was empty, for the meal and bill, I doubt this establishment will ever improve until total changes are made. I will never come back to this establishment ever again and post this on Twitter, instagram facebook and Google plus to save you all. I am so disappointed, I wish I could dispute this on my credit card. Buyer beware!
While this was my first time going and last time. Crab cake had shells, my food came out cold and bland! The server was fantastic but the cook was not having a bad day. The server noticed I did not eat my food and offered me a free dessert. But they are over rated to me. I had the stuff shrimp. They need to have someone to over look the food before sending it out. Quality control
At happy hour we ordered the $1 oysters which is a draw/special they use to get people in the door. On the bill they charged us $1.50 We then asked the waiter to correct the mistake he said that because we didn't order off of the happy hour menu we had to pay $1.50. In other words if you don't specifically ask to see look at the happy hour menu they won't honor the price. They refused to change the price until the manager came and acted as if he was doing a big favor and reluctantly changed. Not only is this bad service, it's unethical.
NO bang for your buck... Only thing that was delicious was the appetizer. The spiedini is really good, I'll give it to them. But for the price they charge the entries should be much better. I ordered a $40 filet that was somewhat chewy and flavor wasn't good at all. Honestly outback does 10 times better for less than $15... the fish wasn't much better. Dessert was not really good either. My lava cake had no lava at all, more like a sponge cake. Will never go back there.
We were extremely discouraged after our first time eating at this establishment. It was my friends birthday and had heard amazing things about this restaurant so we made a reservation for 6 people at 7:30. We were promptly sat at our table but it took 15 min before a waiter came over to take our drink order. There was no apology about the delay because you could tell he was overworked and frazzled. Once our drink order was taken, we sat and waited another 15 min for drinks to arrive. We ordered 2 lemonades, 2 old fashions, a French 75, and a glass of wine. Both of the lemonades and both old fashions were sent back because they were extremely watered down. Management was rude when we asked for a new drink and we didn’t end up with all of our drinks at our table until 8:15. It wasn’t until that point when we were finally asked about if we wanted appetizers. We put our apps in and weren’t even asked about ordering our dinner until 8:45 even thought we called over management to ask about ordering. The hostess ended up being the one who took our order because no one came to our table to wait on us. Most of the night, we were ignored and never had one consistent person come to the table to check on us. At the end of the night, we didn’t tip generously because of how poor the service was ESPECIALLY after having management to our table more than once. The waiter made our table very uncomfortable because he asked about the tip and how much we were tipping and tried asking us for a better tip even though service was bad. We were then made to feel uncomfortable again when the valet pulled up and immediately asked us about his tip before he even got out of the car. All of this was made worse because the manage was standing right there when we walked out and he didn’t even tell us to have a good night. This whole experience was upsetting because the food was delicious but I highly doubt we will ever come back to this establishment because of how awful management handled this whole situation.
