I decided to have a late lunch at Summer House Restaurant in Disney Springs. Even though I had a reservation, I was seated right away as a walk-in. I skipped the appetizers since nothing really caught my eye and went straight for the New York Strip, which came with fries, arugula, and a delicious peppercorn sauce on the steak! it was really good. To drink, I had the Zero Proof Pineapple Kick, which was refreshing and went perfectly with the meal. For dessert, I ordered their Lemon Butter Cake along with a cappuccino. The cake was absolutely amazing! OMG, the best dessert I’ve had in a while, and the portion was huge, easily enough for three people. My waiter, David, was very nice and provided great service. I’ll definitely be going back again with family and friends.
Experience was great! Shawn was the bar tender who served us. He was knowledgeable & didn’t lead us astray with recommendations! The potato salad deviled eggs & the goey lemon butter cake were standouts! The ambiance is nice, it gives elevated beach side restaurant! It’s located in Disney Springs so you’re able to take a stroll afterwards! I’d recommend going at night to catch the lights!
First time at Summer House. We are Disney Annual pass holders and have passed by this place so many times without stopping in. Tonight we had a reservation and it didn’t disappoint. Pizza was a little well done so next time we will ask for it cooked lightly. The fish n chips was delicious and on point.
First time here and we has the Devils eggs and smoked fish dip. Both were phenomenal but the deviled eggs definitely are a must. My husband got the Vodka Pasta and I did the Salmon Poke Nachos. Neither dishes were heavy and the wine selection was great. Definitely join there points program if you can. Ask you server!
Like cookies? Hidden cookie gem! Honestly better than Gideon's (come here for cookies instead). Definitely one of the top restaurants at Disney springs and that's saying a lot because there's a lot of amazing restaurants! The Caesar salad was one of the best we've ever had. The peppercorn sauce was incredible, fish and chips crispy. And again the cookies... Wow the flavors and variety was next level!
Our first time at the summer house was amazing from the ambience to the food. We had Chelsea as our server, and she was amazing, very attentive, and super friendly. She made great recommendations. We had the deviled eggs and the Wagyu meatballs to start, then for our main entrées, we had the breakfast tostadas and the blueberry pancakes. Everything was phenomenal. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. Will be coming back.
Popped in quickly for brunch and to say I was impressed was an understatement. Our server Wyatt, remembered that I wanted oat milk after changing my coffee order 3 separate times and he was so patient and helpful with looking over the menu. I got the breakfast tostadas and my husband got the short rib hash and both were delicious. We also got an order of pancakes that were great as well! Recommend to anyone visiting Disney Springs!
We did Summer House for brunch on a Saturday with a party of 4, including two kids. The restaurant is beautiful inside, bright, airy, inviting and wonderful natural lighting. We sat toward the back of the restaurant but were pleased to have a bit of a view of the lake. Service was wonderful. We never sat waiting for a drink or the next item to hit the table. The drinks were delicious and the food was great. I would definitely go back again and again. Our one son ordered the famous giant cinnamon roll and it was the size of his head. It was sooo good: light, fluffy, sweet, balanced with a little tart from the blueberries and lemon. The hash was delicious! Their deviled eggs were awesome too. My son loved the DIY Shirley temple. So fun!
We had our pre - Christmas family dinner here and it did not disappoint. Summer House is an incredible dining experience from start to finish featuring a great menu and drink pairings. The ambiance of the restaurant is fitting with its upscale yet somewhat casual vibe. And the staff here are friendly and welcoming. The Steak that I had was outstanding as was the tuna nachos. I also like that Summer House has a cookie bar, that is a cool experience as well.
This was hands-down my favorite meal of the trip! I genuinely wanted to come back every single day, and the only reason we didn’t was because we were in town for a short time and tried to explore other spots! ••• The chicken adobo tacos we had for lunch were outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and memorable enough that I’m still thinking about them. We also got the chips & guac, which came with salsa too, so yummy! The drinks were equally impressive; I would absolutely return just for cocktails alone. Everything we ordered felt thoughtfully made and well executed. ••• The atmosphere was another highlight. The restaurant was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and the outdoor seating area really elevated the experience. We were initially seated inside, but once we saw the back patio, we asked if we could move—and the staff was incredibly accommodating, even after we’d already been seated. Our server was so sweet & checked in on us regularly. ••• If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit for either lunch or dinner. It does seem to get popular later in the day, so I’d recommend a reservation if you’re planning to go in the evening. We arrived right when they opened after flying in and wandering around for food, which turned out to be the perfect way to kick off our trip. ••• Can’t recommend this place enough!
We had a great meal at Summer House on the Lake. Our waitress, Aylin O. was great. She made a few excellent menu recommendations and a great listener. We both enjoyed our meal. I had the Brussel salad with steak. And husband got the fish tacos. Aylin saved the day by reminding me thet I mentioned using a gift card from Christmas. I was preoccupied with wanting to get the check paid quickly that I Almost used my visa. She helped us get out of there so we were not late to our show. Thanks
Ya if you go to Disney Springs you need to book this restaurant. Environment and atmosphere top notch, good vibes, and classy yet fun. Food top notch, highly recommend the fish of the day, spinach dip, and chicken sandwich. Drinks, and wine - whole vibe was awesome. Date night was awesome. Server Luke was excellent, great recommendations and attentive.
Great atmosphere and food. Make sure you request a table by the lake. Thank you Tim for an amazing brunch and taking very good care of us. Highly recommend!!! 1st trip was so wonderful that we had to come back on our last day at Disney! Kimberly our waitress was outstanding!!!! She was so attentive and thoughtful!! Thank you for a wonderful brunch!!!
Stopped by Summer House on the Lake and grabbed a seat at the bar with open air seating overlooking the lake. The view alone makes this place worth it. Sitting right on the water with a breeze coming through felt relaxed and vacation perfect. That looks like a perfect split combo 😍 Fresh chopped salad and that stacked turkey sandwich with fries is a win. “We split a fresh chopped salad and a turkey sandwich at the bar. Both were generous portions, super fresh, and perfect for sharing. Great light lunch with a lake view.” The bar area is spacious and lively without being too loud, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It’s a great spot to enjoy a drink, people watch, and take in the lake views. The atmosphere is bright, coastal, and chill, making it an easy place to unwind at Disney Springs. Perfect for a casual stop, sunset drinks, or just soaking in the lake vibes. Definitely a spot I’ll be back to. 🌅🍹
Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs is a California‑inspired restaurant, and I absolutely loved the vibe from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere and decor feels fresh, and has a very coastal feel which is amplified by the lake in the backdrop. A huge part of of our dining experience was our server, Kimberly R. She brought so much cheer, enthusiasm, and genuine warmth to our table that it really made the afternoon. Her energy fit perfectly with the laid‑back California feel of the restaurant. For appetizers, we started with the Wagyu Meatballs, which were exceptionally good. For our entrées, we enjoyed the Salmon and the Famous Herb Chicken Breast Paillard. Both dishes were nicely prepared that match the restaurant’s West Coast inspiration. For dessert, we ordered the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Kimberly warmed the cookie just enough so the ice cream melted slightly over the top. Overall, Summer House on the Lake was a memorable meal with an incredible atmosphere, and Kimberly R. made it truly special. I’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend asking for her (if possible to be seated in her section) if you want a server who brings joy to the experience.
Had lunch here with my 12 year old son and it was fantastic. We ordered the Parmesan truffle fries for our app. Very large portion and the aioli dip was yummy. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and I had the steak frites. The pizza was large enough that both of us could have eaten it and still had leftovers. The steak frites were delicious cooked perfectly again large portions. Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Don’t skip the cookie bar! So good!
My wife and I made reservations here as we both read previous reviews and they all were positive. We walked up, gave our name and were seated right away. Our server came right over and began going over drink options and specials. I ordered a magerita (very tasty), and had the grilled artichoke for an appetizer. My wife ordered the shaved brussel sprout salad and I went with the wagyu tacos, which were phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Awesome restaurant with good interior decor. The steak frite is cooked perfectly with seasoning. The jalapeno cornbread is super soft and the japeleno doesn't overwhelm the flavour. The lakeside cooler is also a nice citrus non-alcoholic drink. Definitely would retry this spot if I ever come back to Disney Springs.
What a great place! Fantastic food. Perfect service and great drinks. I'm trying to think of something I didn't like about the restaurant and I am struggling to do so. Drinks, appetizers and dinners were all fantastic. Prices weren't crazy considering you're in Disney property. Don't get me wrong. They were slightly higher but the price match the quality. Our waiter whose name slips my mind was perfectly attentive and bringing out refills when necessary. Before he was asked and helping with the menu and guiding us to fantastic foods. we even were able to talk to the manager and she was a delight to speak with. I would highly recommend any of the fish they have on the menu as we had at least three of them and they were all just to die for. The pizzas as an appetizer were awesome as we were a group of 12. And the drinks we had were amazing and unique. And don't forget to get a cookie to go as they were so good! My poor little nephew was exhausted, had about half of his dinner and fell asleep on the table! So you can tell the restaurant isn't too loud!
Great environment! Amazing food! The Steak and Fries was awesome! The best i’ve ever had. Fries were crispy and the steak very well made! Perfect seasoning! My wife had a Rigatoni a la vodka. Very good well. Highlight to the pepper strengthening the flavor. The place is always crowded: make a reservation before showing up. We also got the cookie to go, and they’re quite sweet, but very good.
We arrived an hour early for our reservation but they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. We lucked out and scored an amazing table on the patio with a beautiful view of the lake. Shout out to our server Trevor, who was amazing! We ordered our food and one of our meals did not come out cooked as requested. Trevor immediately took care of the situation and even alerted a manager (we wouldn’t have complained- mistakes happen), who was very nice and she offered to make it right. We were very appreciative of the prompt response from the staff and the way they handled everything. The food came out and it was delicious. Everything we ordered, the flavors were on point and the service and attention to detail was amazing! We ordered the potato pancakes, breakfast tostados and their famously delicious giant cinnamon roll. We will absolutely be back.
Excellent food in a sublime setting on the water. Made reservations for a Sunday night, but probably wasn’t needed. Disney springs was very crowded for late at night, but our table was outside and on the water with views of the lake and Epcot fireworks in the distance. Only downside was the table for four was actually a table for two. The food was delicious. The short rib enchiladas were on the seasonal menu and superb, however could have been warmer. The special of Atlantic wreck fish was light and delectable. Steaks and burgers were cooked to perfection. Overall an excellent dinning experience for a memorable dinner.
Summer House on the Lake was such a great spot! Honestly, anywhere in Disney Springs you can’t go wrong, but we wanted to try a good variety here. The fresh orange juice was refreshing, the black coffee a little on the burnt side, but the cinnamon roll completely stole the show. It was huge, soft, and very filling. The wagyu meatballs were hearty and flavorful, the egg sandwich had a soft bun (nothing too special but still tasty), and the fresh peaches were a perfect touch. What really makes the experience better is the people. The staff was very friendly and quick with service. Definitely a place I would go back to.
Very cute place, service was really good. Food was ok, giant cinnamon roll was ok, more of a croissant like breading not a typical cinnamon roll. The topping was really good. Breakfast burrito was mostly egg, but the turkey stacker was good for a quick sandwich. All over a nice place, if you want seating by the lake (on the weekend) make a reservation. ☺️
We heard good things about this place, so we made sure to add it to our list during our Disney trip. Happy we came, but there were some flaws - delicious, but pricey. The service during our entire meal was great - they allowed us to enjoy our meal without checking in on us every 5 minutes. They were knowledgeable and had a great tip to save the sauce from our starter to dip the crust from our mains. Excellent choice! The atmosphere may be a little dark for some - I usually dont mind it, but this environment felt darker than most. The light on our table even went out which didn't help either. We started off with the Potato Latke and the Wagyu Meatballs. For the price, it felt these fell short in terms of portion. We wanted more for the price. They were both good - meatballs were juicy and tender and the sour cream and applesauce paired very well with the fried potato. Would we get them again? Probably not. For the mains, we both had a pizza. I am a white sauce/no sauce kind of pizza lover. Sacrilegious I know but I can't help it. I knew the shaved mushroom pizza was the pizza to try and I am glad I did. This pizza was so good. The mushrooms were very present and the truffle may be a little overpowering for some people - I enjoyed it. It was creamy and the cheese was stretchy. The dough was also a great balance between soft and crunchy with a thin-ish crust. Will definitely get again when we return! I couldn't leave without getting a few cookies as I heard they rivaled Gideon's. I left with 6 and they were all very very good! Apple Oatmeal, Frosty, Raspberry Swirl, Lemon, Snickerdoodle, and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip. I would get them all again - they all had the perfect soft and chewy texture that I think makes for a perfect cookie. Some may say they are overpriced, but for the size, you can't really go wrong.
First timers. Lots of folks already know about how deliciousthe food is here. They'recorrect. Not sure why it took us so long to finally come, but worth the wait. Staff is friendly and takes good care of guests. Caramelized Brussel sprouts, margarita pizza, pasta. And this place has awesome cookies. When Mary asked if we wanted it warmed and/or with ice cream... well. Of course. And the black coffee is very good. Strong and full body, not bitter. Very pleasant meal. Marie was wonderful. Mary shared in conversation too.
Brunch at Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs was such a great experience! Drinks (Aperol Spritz, Spicy Bloody Mary, Espresso Martini) were all 10/10, flavorful and actually potent. The deviled eggs were zesty and delicious, and the cinnamon roll is a must for a group (perfectly sweet and great for sharing). The crispy chicken sandwich and Mexican tostadas were amazing. The egg sandwich felt bland and lacked flavor, even with the sauce. The huevos rancheros were creative, but it felt more like a giant quesadilla pizza with a small amount of eggs and toppings on top. The bread-to-egg ratio was off, and I ended up leaving half because it was just too much pita compared to the toppings. A smaller portion would make it feel more balanced. Service was great, the lake views were beautiful, and the overall vibe felt special and celebratory. We’ll definitely be back!
Been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a while because of such a high average rating (4.9 at the time of booking). While the atmosphere was great, the food and service did not live up to the hype. My party and I ordered the chicken tenders (freshly breaded and recommended by host), fish and chips with truffle fries, and the chicken paillard. Chicken tenders were alright, but honestly could get better ones at many places. Fish came out under done which was disappointing so we got a new one. As a truffle fry fanatic, I was excited to try them based on the reviews and was sorely disappointed. They had malt vinegar powder all over them- gross. In my picture below, you can also see how boring the chicken paillard looked and it kind of tasted like how it looked as well- just like an average grilled piece of chicken that was way overpriced. Overall, this is probably a place you’d come for the vibes and atmosphere, and to get fun drinks and appetizers to share.
The food is average nothing amazing and definitely not worth the price, the chicken breast is $14.95 to add to the pastas or salads and they come with no protein standard in the salads if you want to add the protein it’s all extra. Their cookies were really nice though. Would recommend them. The waiter was the best I have had but we had a bad experience with the girl at the door who ignored us and when we came to ask her something she wouldn’t look but then everyone who came after us she would talk to. That was odd. Overall wouldn’t come back for the food would for the cookies.
Service and vibe are both top notch, food leaves mush to be desired, though. The structural integrity of the chicken adobo tacos was nonexistent and the guac lacked the authentic flavor I’d expect from a relatively simple dish. I’m sure there were lots of other menu options that tasted better, but this place could benefit from putting the same amount of effort that was put into the decor and ambiance into their food.
Our family was so excited to try Summer House on the Lake. My husband had had their cookies before and was obsessed with them (we are FL residents and visit Disney Springs often). He’s a big breakfast guy so I made reservations for brunch for his birthday. We had such high hopes and the meal started out on a high note with the parmesan truffle fries pictured on this review. They were fantastic. We also appreciated that the kids food came out with the appetizer so they weren’t waiting and hungry. But unfortunately, everything after the kids food was pretty disappointing. The adult entrees took a long time to arrive and the kids had completely finished their food and were getting antsy by the time ours arrived. I had ordered chilequiles which were their seasonal special. They came out cold and the sunny side up eggs had yolks like an over medium egg. I let the waitress know it was cold and she took it back to the kitchen for a replacement. It took a while for the replacement to come out (our 5 year old now playing under the table because he was over it) and the waitress gave an apology when she delivered the new one, however, the fresh one was also cold. I let her know about it still being cold but mentioned that I did not want to wait for a replacement because of how long it took and how it came out cold twice already. I ate about a third of it but cold eggs and cold sauced tortilla chips are just not appealing. We also mentioned that 2 of my husbands 3 pancakes were over cooked, tasted a little burnt and dried out. The waitress stated that that was just how their kitchen cooked them. Ultimately, we were disappointed with the quality and service for a restaurant this expensive - $20 for cold chilequiles is crazy. I tipped 14% because I don’t think all of it was the waitress’ fault, but at the same time, she wasn’t able to rectify any issues we had either. I don’t think we’ll be back, sadly. Only upside was the atmosphere.
