This is a friendly, relaxing place with amazing food. My wife said the caramelized Brussel spouts were the best she has ever eaten. And she like Brussel spouts. The seared salmon was phenomenol! A defite 'must do!' The chicken salad sandwich was good but recommend ordering something else.
Sunday brunch was amazing! I loved the variety of seafood and land options, even vegetarian options, including oyster shooters, peeled cocktail shrimp, marinated crab claws, prime rib, glazed ham, eggs Benedict, butternut squash consume, veggie medley, baked fish, waffles, omelette station, delicious salad bar options, a dessert buffet with bite-sized desserts, fresh made bananas foster with plantains, and more! Every single dish I tasted was delicious! Oh, and a live brass band!! The only down side was that our table was right in front of the band so it was way too loud at our table but the volume was good elsewhere. They also accommodated my husband's request for a beermosa instead of a traditional mimosa.
Best classy, relaxed atmosphere. Great service, amazing food.
Super nice spot inside the Grand Hotel - great views of the Bay and a nice casual atmosphere! As with all things associated with the Grand Hotel - the staff truly makes the difference!
loved the food and Kevin provided superior service! thoroughly enjoyed our meal here!
Great food and staff. The live musuc was awesome and it has an amazing view.
Fun Place. Great views. Good food. Outdoor games. Family friendly ❤️
Steak was excellent. Strawberry cheesecake was wonderful. Great service.
Location, location, location! Not to mention awesome seafood spread. Good deal for the money. Excellent staff experience.
Good service and my guests enjoyed their meal. Not a fan of the pizza
At Grand Hotel in Point Clear. Always good food and prompt service. Plus hotel and grounds are beautiful to walk around
Nice shrimp and grits, great margaritas and free tea and cookies at the hotel at 4pm
Excellent food. Great service. Beautiful view 💜🍹
Grand Hotel is a gorgeous backdrop for this restaurant which serves delicious cuisine impeccably plated.
Food was delicious and staff were great.
I have a friend who works in this restaurant her name is Caitlin Moore I don't know how the food is I need to try it
Great staff. Everyone at The Grand Hotel is a cut above and it is refreshing.
Food was very good for lunch - wonderful atmosphere.
Located in the Grand Hotel the food was fantastic and atmosphere wonderful.
Food was Fabulous, Excellant service. Loved to atmosphere.
Love love love this place located in the Grand Hotel. We always stop here for a bite to eat and have a drink after shopping in Fairhope. You overlook the water which the view is so beautiful. The food is so delicious and the drinks are really good! The staff is very friendly also. They do have a great menu also. If you appreciate finer things in life, this is the place!!
Just a wonderful place to relax and watch the bay. Food is always top notch and the service is fantastic.
The fourth time I have had lunch here I believe. So far not a bad meal. Service is prompt and the food is tasty. Prices reflect the location and view but I will be back.
Great lunch today for birthday celebration! Delicious salad and gumbo is Devine, just the way southern Alabama gumbo should be. Server Carlton is the greatest! He gave us special treatment for our special day. Love Donna and Fay
Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious, always delicious. They usually have a special of the day, along with menu. It is always very delicious, that's what I usually order. And Ahi Poke
Me and my family just moved into the area so we tried out the restaurant. The food and atmosphere was great, the grounds and hotel hold a lot of history from the pictures on the walls. We will definitely be back.
Excellent experience! Everything we ordered to the table was beyond tasty. Our server Jesse was fantastic. Looking forward to returning and HIGHLY recommended!
This is one of the most exquisite places left with warmth and quality. We just celebrated our 10th anniversary there...always a never to be forgotten experience...we are already planning our next trip. We had the Sunday brunch...mmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm.
The Cheesy shrimp and grits was to die for! Our server Michele was incredibly attentive. We will ask for her area next time we eat there.
Good food, good staff, spectacular view. There are a couple of bars, and food order areas. This is an outside only area. Bathrooms are very clean, private and air conditioned. Walk up to order food, and it the food is brought to you.
Excellent view, great atmosphere and great service. I had lightly breaded and pan fried redfish salad that was quite good. I will be back!!
When we went, it was a little crowded, but the food came out hot and was super delicious. I got the Mac’n’Cheese with the pork belly and chicken and that was all I needed as a meal. I’m also glad it was attached to the resort. You really don’t need to leave the resort at all. Overall, a wonderful experience.
You really can’t beat the view and the grounds at the Grand, which bumps my review from a 4 based on quality and price to a 5 when you consider everything. You can visit the restaurants and stroll the grounds without having a room. My family likes to visit a few times a month just for coffee from their coffee shop or breakfast/lunch from the Bayside Grill, then stroll along the bay and pond for an hour or so. The last time we visited we enjoyed the breakfast buffet with the family. It’s a little pricy but they do offer a lot of great dishes such as smoked salmon, a selection of cheeses, chief is there making made-to-order omelets, and lots of other great things. I guess I was annoyed since I had to buy breakfast for 7 and 2 of my kids only ate a muffin and a waffle. We are headed back this morning for breakfast and will order off the menu, at least for the kids. The last time we visited, the family sitting next to us had some great looking breakfast plates that I want to try.
Beautiful views and great food! Our waitress Margo really made our final nite out on this trip a great one. She was always cheerful and nice. All of the staff did a wonderful job taking care of us.
Excellent server Sidney (very nice & pretty) needs to bring bar napkins with drinks and chilled glasses for beer. Had her for lunch and dinner.
The staff in this restaurant is perfect. The food was worth the price, and good to eat..for breakfast my wife had the buffet and I ordered off the menu. Both choices turned out great. We are dinner here the night before and it was very good
Breakfast at Bayside Grill was the perfect start to the day. I had a build your own egg white omelet with skillet potatoes and hot coffee. Everything came out fresh, out, and delicious. Sitting outside overlooking the bay and the beautiful grounds of the The Grand made it even better. Great food, kind staff, and a peaceful view. That's hard to beat.
I'd give it a 4.5...We visited on a rainy Friday mid afternoon and got burgers, fries, beer and a dessert. Great view of the bay! Food flavors are good. Fries are cooked in truffle oil. Burgers are cooked to order and very juicy. We got a berry cobbler for dessert with ice cream that was a pre made frozen scoop? Both ice cream and cobbler were mild in flavor.
Tried the pork chop and the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. Grilled cheese had a great combination of cheeses but the bread was overly buttery and the sandwich wasn't warm and fresh as you'd expect. Probably sat for too long before it was brought out. Tomato soup was tasty, well seasoned to give it a flavor that stood out from an average tomato soup. The pork chop was much bigger than expected and was well cooked; still juicy but with a crunchy exterior. Location is great, beautiful area with mini golf, corn hole, beautiful walking areas, and a view over the bay. Server was great but I think she was stretched a little thin trying to wait tables and tend the bar simultaneously. Menu is limited, but it's a good place to get a bite if you're in the area.
Food was good. Service was great. Good portions are lacking - but that’s the world we live in with inflation.
The service is excellent and the food is reasonable priced. Most of the tables have an excellent view of the water.
the Jazz brunch buffet is expansive, but some of the food was not hot. Desserts were yummy!
Good food, amazing view! Truffle fries are top notch too!
Pork belly, yummy. Fish tacos very good.
Good food just a bit pricey for a lunch menu.
A nice melding of a informal dining at a formal locale. The staff handle everyone from retirees to toddlers with great attitude. You can't beat having lunch or dinner on the patio with a view of the bay, and a tip of the cap to Margaux for taking such good care of us.
We came for lunch and was seated outside near the water. The view was beautiful and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The lunch menu was a bit on the high side but the food was good and service was excellent. The kids meals were huge. It was definitely a good time.
We had a good meal but the server seemed to rush us. She even picked up my wife's wine glass before she was finished. She needed more training.
The food was overpriced but tasted good. Also the hanger steak was $33 and very small. Most of the plate was taken up by the sides. The gumbo was also not the best. Overall it was a good experience.
Sweetest staff and nice menu. Shrimp and grits were solid and the pimento cheese came with the most delicious spicy crackers.
Had a delish chicken salad croissant with a side of fruit. Great view . Nice staff.
Food was delicious! I had the Neapolitan pizza and tried the pork tacos. The prices were a little high, but to be expected from a hotel restaurant.
Overall good experience. My first dinner option ran out after we ordered and then I received something different than what I actually ordered but everything was delicious!
Had difficulty getting the server or hostesses attention after finishing the meal and ready to pay the check.
Only had a few drinks but they were wonderful and atmosphere was great. Wonderful outside area to relax by the water. Dig friendly.
We enjoy eating here several times a year and this time the service was very mediocre and the Truffle fries were not even hot . The burger was delicious and the view was spectacular as usual. Hopefully next time our food will be hot and we'll get better service. We did enjoy our server but he was not very Timely.
The Baked Brie and Shrimp tasted delicious and the Glazed Brussels Sprouts was perfectly prepared. Our service was excellent. The views are gorgeous. I suggest strolling around the grounds after eating. Find a swing to snuggle up in and watch the sun dip down at the point. If you're on a strict budget, you'll need to get creative: a couple or a family can share some dishes, or opt solely for appetizers to maximize their spending. The portions are generous. Highly suggest for a date night or ladies night out. Check out the Lounge next door or the other dining option on premises overlooking the lake. The dress is casual and no reservations required.
Great setting being able to sit outside on the bay for a sunset dinner. I loved that the menu had the items marked that were gluten-free, which made ordering a breeze. The food and service were above average, but not superb,
Good variety lunch menu, super attentive and friendly service, but a little slow. If you are in a hurry, you may want to find another option. The atmosphere is fantastic. The view overlooking overlooking the water is super relaxing. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.
Food wasn’t high quality, service was slow, atmosphere was amazing. would go again to just for atmosphere.
After discovering the majority of the area restaurants were closed due to understaffing, we decided to give Bayside Grill a try. While the property is beautiful, the atmosphere is a bit "uptight", to say the Least. Hotel staff is pretentious & snobby. If you aren't dressed for a business meeting, be prepared to feel unwelcome & out of place. But if you don't mind the "plantation vibe", the brussel sprouts appetizer & waygu brisket pizza are DELICIOUS!!!
My portions were appropriately sized The view is incredible The staff kept saying “ yes ma’am “ or “ no ma’am “ A simple yes or no is appropriate I told my server to stop saying this and she they are trained to do so This part of training needs to be eliminated Its not the early 1900s
We were a table of 3... there were about 2 other tables dining for lunch... so I guess the server didnt think it was busy enough to write our order down... we made no modifications, two of us ordered the same thing, so three plates and we ordered one additional item to share... and we didnt get the additional item to share. Ive dined in some of the top restaurants in the nation... writing down an order is Restaurant 101... shame because the food was perfect.
The views are excellent and service is friendly too. The food is a bit average/generic - its hotel menu which has a bit of everything, food is reasonable but nothing great. We’ve had dinner here the first two nights and I’d rather not dine there again. We ordered pork tacos, shrimp tacos, Mediterranean bowl, pizza, Brussels sprouts, and truffle Parmesan fries. The shrimp tacos were good according to the person who ordered it, pork tacos reasonably good though the meat was a bit dry, pizza - not a fan. The best dish so far was the fries. I was expecting better here and I’m not talking about a fancy gourmet menu. Just something people would be excited to order.
Ribeye was outstanding. The employees are extremely kind and attentive. I had the protein bowl with tuna. Sorry to tell you this Bayside, the rice wasn’t marinated, there were no green onions nor ginger. So I got a large spoonful of tiny tuna bites and a lot of unseasoned vegetables. Oh, and canned mandarin oranges. That was very disappointing. But the chocolate cake made up for it.
Not worth the pricing. You’d be better to eat at the poolside grill instead
After requesting specifically to be seated by bay windows facing the mini golf and bay the hostess started taking us to a totally different room which we need to redirect her. Then ordering the burger for $18.95 and requesting medium it came practically rare and ona soft brioche bun where the bottom bun was so wet from the excessive oil on the spring mix lettuce and tomatoes that the burger fell apart after just one bite. While the burger was larger than most (positive) I tried handling the burger once or twice more but the patty kept sliding around off the now practically extinct bun. I resorted to carving through the cooked parts with knife and fork. If I had wanted a steak I would have ordered one. Who designed this burger and did anyone take it out for a live spin before putting it on the menu? The Parmesan crusted fries were nice however. PS I don’t care that this is a well liked hotel. This particular burger dish needs to be redesigned. The bun should be sturdier and larger for this large sized patty.
I don't like valet parking. According to my car rental lease agreement, no one besides myself can drive my car. We had a table outside, but the live music was so loud that is was difficult to talk. I ordered the grouper, but when it arrived, the waitress failed to bring the silverware. When I brought this to her attention, she went to another table rather than immediately get our silverware while our food got cold. I had to get up to hunt down my own silverware. Not what I'd expect from a good restaurant. Even Denny's has better service.
Very slow service. Great tasting pizza but served warm (almost cold). Salmon was good! Beer were served flat!
Had lunch here for 3. Service from Margaux was excellent. Love the atmosphere of the resort, and the games outside the restaurant were a great idea. The food, not so much. Shrimp and grits were very different with a tomato gravy and pork-belly style bacon. The gumbo was really thick and a little too homogenized, but the brown roux was good. House salad had to be sent back, uncommon for us. The baked chicken was pretty dry. We probably won't eat here again. Prices are exorbitant. Much better food available in the area for less.
I ate a pizza here just over a year ago and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled the country and I’ve been up in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and had really good pizza. I went today Friday, April 5, 2024 and I ordered the pizza and it was store-bought already made pizza crust. It was a $40 pizza that I could’ve made twice as good at home. It’s not the same restaurant as it was just a little over a year ago. I do not recommend this place.
Very disappointed in the current menu. When something's really good you don't take it off the menu you enhance the menu.
I took some friends to eat lunch here today. I was so embarrassed what we were served. Literally a flat bread with just cheese no seasonings or sauces was the cheese pizza. I had the Cajun fettuccine. There was so much oil in the dish it was nauseating. No sauce. Just oil! My friend ordered the macaroni and it was floating in oil. The only thing that was presentable was the Shrimp and Brie small plate. I have been coming to the Grand for over 25 years! I am a local. Very, very disappointing!!
We made the mistake of going with 10 people two times in one visit. Very disappointed in the service. Food is good but not worth the price you pay. I never give review but couldn't not do so this time. Very disappointed.
We ordered Halibut and Prime rib. Both ok but both were served with ketchup, ketchup as the sauce. If not take out we would have sent back. Very poor. Ketchup for god sake!!
I'm sure the food is delicious. But, considering my experience here, I chose not to consume food from a place where I didn't feel welcomed and wanted. The service was horrible. It wasn't busy when I visited. However, I seated myself, had to walk to the bar to ask for water, and was never greeted/approached once by anyone to see if I wanted to order. It was truly disappointing. I did speak with a manager on duty. I simply explained my experience and asked what could I have done differently to actually get service. I was offered food (complimentary I'm sure), but I don't eat from places where I'm not treated like a valued customer. I'll be contacting corporate to see what the standard is, and why my experience was just so damn cold.. deep sigh....
We were pretty excited to eat here after doing the Christmas stroll to see the lights. We called ahead for a larger group (2 days prior) and the receptionist stated that he would add us to the list at our expected time. Upon arrival, we were told we were not on the list and the wait was an hour. We finally got a table in the "lobby" area and received our appetizer after the meal, received lukewarm food (mac & cheese with short ribs) which had at least a good 30% of fat instead of meat. The meat was tender and good except for all the fat. Three other people at our table ordered the same thing and had ZERO fat. We brought it to the waitresses attention, who then took it back to the manager, which did nothing to accommodate us other than remove the late appetizer from the bill. We won't be back!
