We had lunch during a visit to the monthly fair held in Castiglione Olona. It was a random choice, but even though the place was packed, the lady at the counter and the girls at the tables were kind, friendly, and quick. As soon as we sat down, a small incident occurred with the oil and vinegar, but it was quickly resolved by the waitresses. They were excellent. We ordered four mushroom risottos, which were truly delicious. To drink, we had beer and water, followed by desserts and coffee. All this in a place rich in history and a family atmosphere. The bill was also fair and reasonable. Bottom line: we'll be back for the place and the location. A great day.

I think it's one of the best bars I've ever been in. I was very impressed by the aesthetics: the beautiful display of bottles, the beautiful painting of the old town and the fireplace, and the overall decor are beautiful. The selection of wines and gins is excellent, and the service is good. I'll definitely have to go back for dinner.

Had a spontaneous aperitivo here and remained very satisfied. In the evening with tiny light this places becomes very cute. The staff is nice (they even had an anti-mosquito spray which saved me a lot!). We had a spritz with some stuzzichini.

We went to this bar because it was the only one in the entire historic center 😅 but we were very satisfied. We ordered a hot chocolate and it was very well made. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly both at the cash register and when taking orders. The Christmas decorations inside are beautiful.

We visited this "Bistro" for the Cardinal's feast. When we ordered, we were advised to order potatoes on the side. When the dish arrived, brought by another employee, she looked at us in shock, claiming that they never make potatoes because it would take too long. Leaving aside the ambiguous response... we accepted a different side dish despite the initial premise, paying the same amount for a salad and baked potatoes. Problems were yet to come. A person sitting with us, when he was about to try the risotto he ordered, couldn't help but be stunned to realize that the portion was barely 50 grams. It was embarrassing. Another person sitting with us ordered a sandwich. Slices of speck as wide as a factory rug, but still perhaps the best thing the place offers. Yet another person ordered what you see in the photo, a shame that, or rather for her, it was a decent dish. Certainly enough to feed a person. So much so that, dissatisfied with the first plate of casoncelli I'd eaten shortly before, I decided to order the same. Your comments. Four slices taken from the leftover roast and an entire bag of salad thrown on top. Fed up and in love, because with all this I was paying for 11 euro portions of casoncelli + 10 euro of roast + 5 euro of wine, I politely decided to alert the waitress. Nothing, they looked at me and ignored me. I signaled to the lady at the cashier, who signaled me she was coming. Never saw her again. In the end, the plate was cold. To avoid wasting the food, I ate it. I paid. And I told everything I'm writing directly to the cashier. I don't think we'll be back.

A half-hour wait after ordering two sandwiches, but the sandwiches arrived for customers who arrived much later than us. When I stood up, annoyed, I was told that the process for one particular sandwich was longer. You could have called and brought the sandwich to my autistic son. Too many waitresses and no efficiency.
