The location hS a large dining room and 4 tables for 4 each on the sidewalk. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The whole (fried) fish (see photos) comes with 3 sides and is enough for a lunch for 2 people. The fish is exceptional. We also had green plantain "pancakes" that were tasty. For a total of $50 (which included a discretionary 20% tip), the price offers great value.

Camila is the best waitress! She is very nice and personal and helpful. As a former server and current doctor, I haven’t seen this amazing service from someone in a long time. Also, Jaime is amazing! He comes around and checks on you to make sure all is well and speaks highly of the whole staff! The strawberry 🍓 lemonade is super delicious! Also, the chicken soup and the arepa 🫓 de choclo con queso 🧀 is suuuuuuper delicioso!!!! The Red Snapper is plated so nice. Perfectly cooked and crunchy outside and soft inside. On the 1st Dec around 7pm we decided to see what this restaurant was like. We’re from NY and my wife who is Colombian and I have been to many Colombian restaurants. Well we were quite surprised and thrilled at the service and hospitality. I ordered chicharrón for an appetizer and I was so impressed how tender with a slight crunch and tasty it was. She ordered the chicken soup. It was a perfect portion and hardy. I had the breaded chicken! Awesome! The server I think his name is Jamie. I hope I’m right 🤔 was great! He even talked us into some Pede Bono and tres Leche cake. Both were very good! We will definitely be coming back! Nice place to bring a date or for a good dinner!

We were pleasantly surprised by karaoke night and the warm, friendly service. They treat you like family. I knew I had to come back for my birthday, and I am speechless. The staff and the whole team really went out of their way. They had party favors and a Happy Birthday sign. It was also during Carnival de Barranquilla, so they were already in a celebratory mood, but they made me feel so special. They did a beautiful birthday presentation. My photos look like I am in Colombia. I had a phenomenal time with my dinner party and highly recommend Colombian Mountains Cafe for a fun night out or a celebration. If you take nothing else from anything that I am about to type out, Please ask for Gerald, He was absolutely amazing! What stood out was the Columbian flag hanging out front. Then the name on the restaurant once you get closer and the photos of the dishes at the entrance. One thing we love about the DMV is authentic cuisines at our finger tips. So naturally we were looking for something authentic then our valet said there is a Colombian spot right down the walkway and they have amazing Pollo Soupas! We were immediately sold because if someone recommends your soup, oh yeah the food is going to be on point! We were NOT DISAPPOINTED! The menu was so easy to understand but Gerald was super excited to share his recommendations based on our top picks! Ex. I was going to go for the black beans with my fish and he let me know that if wanted an authentic experience maybe consider the red beans as it was traditional. I listened and they were amazing! The empanadas filled with beef and the habanero and cilantro sauces are amazing! We tried them separately and together on the empanadas and on our entrees and we couldn’t put it down! They are house made sauces and they are a must have! My love got the Mountain bandeja which had a meat assortment which included steak, chicharrones, sausage, fried egg avocado and rice and red beans! Absolutely delicious! The food and service were outstanding and we will be back before we head back to the DMV for sure!

This is an amazing spot all around! I was in town for a few days and came here 3 different times, twice in the same day! The food is wonderful! I had two breakfast dishes, coffee, tostones with guacamole + crispy pork belly, and a ridiculously large coconut lemonade! There are two homemade sauces that they serve with every meal. The cilantro sauce was one of the best things I've ever put on my food -- it's delicious! The service is excellent as well. Danny is awesome!!! If you haven't been, you are missing out.

Found this place on Google looking for a place to eat breakfast near our hotel. We ordered the Mountains Lemonade, Mountains coffee, and the French Toast with an added corn cake. I have a few allergies so eating out has become a little bit of a sensitive topic, but I felt so comfortable here knowing they have vegetarian beans, which isn’t the case that a lot of Latin places. We found this gem on google maps. I’ve never had Colombian food before and was happy to see it was protein forward. We started with a guava and a mango lemonade. These are frozen and different from any slush type drink I’ve had before. They were salty and it really worked. The mango was the better of the two. The guava was a little sandy but the flavor was intense. Next we had some sort of meat empanada gifted by our server and it was better than any other empanada I’ve ever had. Our mains were the mountains bandeja and a bean casserole. They both seemed to be the same dish presented differently. The meats were cooked perfectly. The portions were massive so we really could have shared just one main. The bean casserole was rich and perfectly seasoned. It had chunks of sweet plantains and the sausage was delicious. It came with rice and avacado and some little cake. I didn’t love the corn cake. We had tiny coffees that were as adorable as they were tasty and were too full for dessert so we ordered the coconut foam and mango cheesecake to go. Both were good but the flan was my favorite of the two. The restaurant was clean and our server, Danny, was fantastic! He had extensive knowledge of the menu and even suggested other local places we could visit on our trip. Will definitely be returning this trip and can recommend for great food in Florida!

Everything was delicious. We had the Mountains bandeja which was a lot of food enough for two ppl and very tasty. Our server Lady was very attentive!

Incredible food and amazing staff! Jamie recommend the Mango Biche Lemonade drink and it was delicious!! Rice pudding and small platter were also delightful!

We stopped in for breakfast and it was delicious! Jamie was our server and he explained all the items on the menu and made incredible recommendations. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Second time here and absolutely love it. The place is a vibe, food is amazing. Service was amazing, Ideanys was amazing she took great care of us. I am Haitian and the food reminds me of home. Must try the tostones and the sweet plantains. Definitely will be back soon.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and decided to try this Colombian spot—it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and fresh. We had great service from Jamie; you can tell he genuinely loves his job. He was an excellent server, helped us with recommendations, and took the time to explain the menu. We’ll definitely be back!

We went here bc of the 4.9 google stars - not sure how they can have such high rating. Maybe I went on a slow Sunday. We can get cheaper beer at any restaurant in Las Olas blvd. $9 beer and $13 lemonades. The food was dry and the empanadas staled - no wonder they were complimentary of the house. Will not go back or recommend.

I got raw chicken.. The server handled the situation well, she was very kind and apologetic and she did all she could to make up for it. The chef personally came out the kitchen and apologized not once but twice and really wanted to make our experience better. Accidents happens. But the manager on the other hand. Never stopped by to acknowledge what happened, but she was standing at the register just watching everything unfold. Then she was the one to charge me … never mentioned the RAW CHICKEN until i mentioned it. Didn’t even apologize just said “I heard what happened” so clearly you knew and did nothing about it. If you’re a a manager, manage. My 2 star review is not because of the server, the chef, nor the food. It is because of the manager. Do better.
