I came here a month ago with my friend and it was a 5-star dining experience! The food was prepared to order and our bread came out warm and toasty. The beetroot spread was delicious as well. I ordered the chicken burger which came with a dipping sauce and thick-cut fries. The dipping sauce was tangy and herby. The potatoes were well seasoned too! The burger was stuffed so it was hard to eat but definitely worth the mess!!

Had an amazing time here. We went for a little bachelorette dinner and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Drinks were tasty, food came out fast and was nice quality. The atmosphere was also really cute with all the greenery and the tree.

Mama Mezze is a fantastic new Mediterranean restaurant that may just be one of the most delicious Greek spots in the city. The food is incredible, featuring standout items like hummus, cauliflower, and chicken skewers, all at very affordable prices. While the service is generally good, making a reservation can be quite confusing. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a classic style. I highly recommend visiting this place multiple times!

Mamamezze is an absolute gem. We ate here recently and everything — the food, the service, and the room itself — was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared and packed with flavor, and the atmosphere somehow feels both warm and elevated at the same time. A huge standout moment was when Chef Dan came out to our table to check on us — a class act — and then surprised us with his special chocolate-tahini tart for dessert. It was next-level and the perfect way to end the meal. Truly one of those places that reminds you why dining out in NYC can be such a great experience. We’ll absolutely be back.

This was a great experience. We sat at the bar and got amazing drinks. The hostess felt we were being kind so took the drinks off the bill. The food was also amazing. Such friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Spacious Mediterranean restaurant with Moroccan flavors. Great for groups as the spreads and small plates (mezze type of dishes) were in larger portions than most restaurants which could be the actual main course all together and also justified the marginally higher prices. My favorite were the Moroccan carrots and the zucchini chips. The freshly baked zaatar bread that came with the dishes was great and the staff brought us new ones when requested. For dessert the sesame chocolate tart was good and not too sweet. Overall a pleasant dining experience!

Nice cozy place for late fall weather breakfast. Ordered Matboucha with home made za’atar laffa, eggplant & zucchini chips; Shakshuka. Full flavor of Mediterranean.

Insanely good food - we loved every single dish that we got. Great atmosphere and service, so cozy and inviting. Make space for dessert, the babka is delicious!!

Absolutely delicious, and the staff recommendations are on point! I got the chicken schnitzel sandwich and it was so perfectly cooked. Mama's Rice is also a must. I'll be back with friends next time!

It was so yummy! Every dish was wonderful! Recommend the roasted cauliflower! Had multiple cocktails all were good! Arthur was so on top of it and so kind! The chicken fell right off the bone!!! Couldn’t get a good picture cause we were ready to dig in!!

Mama Mezze is a beautiful addition to the neighborhood—lovely interior with a warm, bright vibe. I came to catch up with a friend after work and we ended up staying for dinner. We started with drinks at the bar; while service was a bit slow there (they’re new, so I’ll chalk it up to growing pains), the staff was genuinely kind and attentive throughout. The food was delicious. The whipped feta dip was dangerously good. We also tried the mushroom hummus, which was tasty, but the feta stole the show. For my main, I had the branzino, which was perfectly cooked—light, fresh, and still satisfying. Drink: Crimson Cooler - refreshing and not too sweet, can sip on these all summer Looking forward to coming back as they settle in more. A solid spot for a casual yet elevated meal with friends.

Soooo good My favorite was the whipped feta and the chicken skewer (we thought the skewers were going ti be small but the portions are big) The only thing we didn’t like were the moroccan cigars

Marco was really sweet and helpful for our late lunch. He quickly took care of our order and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. Some of the drinks, like the happy new year, are really strong. If you're looking for a light and refreshing cocktail I recommend the Crimson Cooler

Often times opening night is a disaster, but not at Mama Mezze. The food, the service and ambience were amazing. Dimitri was such a great waiter, and his recommendations were true and honest. We absolutely loved everything we ate, but my favorite things were the Latkes, which had a sour cream/applesauce combo. I can’t wait for them to get busier and the buzz to move. I just hope I always have a spot.

Great spot - amazing cocktails, stellar dips (get the whipped feta), and the steak skewers are just happiness in meat form! I absolutely thought every dish was a winner and every drink made me happier. It's not super cheap, but great neighborhood and vibe to go with the food!

They got us without a reservation on a packed Friday night. We got a salmon and chicken skewers, the food was out lickety-split fast and cooked to perfection.

Was happy to be welcome at this place on one of their first opening days. Mediterranean cuisine, was happy to see mashed potato on the menu, good portions a little bit even more than I expected. All food was tasty, recommend to try their humus! I am waiting for their lunch opening. Will be happy to taste more. Despite the opening, I was welcomed well and food came on time. 👏 congratulations with opening

Delicious. General manager did a great job working around food allergies. The branzino was really truly delicious and the vibes are on point.

Simply amazing. Everything was delicious, servings generous; and the service was kind, communicative, and not rushed at all. Had a truly great time.

The food here is delicious! The whipped feta was insanely good! It was fluffy, sweet, and perfect. The cauliflower was also enjoyable. It was crunchy, and honestly, tasted like you were eating fries! Throughout the whole meal, not one dish disappointed. Not to mention, the atmosphere was very lovely, it gave off a warm, modern vibe and was truly a beautiful place to eat. This was genuinely one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at, and I recommend to anyone seeing this! The staff were also super sweet and helpful, adding another pleasurable aspect to this restaurant. I definitely recommend. 💯

I have been here twice now and it is absolutely fantastic. The food tastes amazing, the drinks are a hit and service is friendly! Please don’t skip out on dessert even if you are full, as their dessert dishes are top notch!

Very friendly staff; ask their favorites and they’ll let you know what the top dishes are in their opinion. Can’t go wrong with any of the dips. Ordered the branzino and the chicken skewers and they were divine. Great ambiance, too!

Had brunch here and it was lovely! Our waitress was a real sweetheart. Brunch is solid — some nice Mediterranean twist to American favorites. Quiet enough to hear the person across from you talk :)

Excellent place. I stopped there for lunch and was very pleased. I had ceasar salad with tahini sauce and was delicious. Bread with zaatar was equally good too. Atmosphere is pretty with nice decorations. Service was fast and attentive. I would go again.

Beautiful decor and great ambience. Food portion is on the small side. Some dishes taste authentic and some don’t. Overall a great experience. Popular place for dinner after work. Mostly female patrons.

We stopped by Mama Mesa and only ordered an appetizer with two beers. The food itself was actually pretty good — flavorful and satisfying for what we tried. The atmosphere, however, depends on where you sit. Sitting outside has its charm, but as with much of downtown New York, the air isn’t always the freshest, and that does take away from the experience. Inside, the restaurant is nicely decorated, and with the AC running, I imagine it’s a much better choice on a hot, sticky day. Service was just okay — nothing to rave about, but nothing terrible either. Not rude, just a bit on the mediocre side. Overall: Good food, nice décor inside, but I’d recommend sitting indoors for comfort. A decent stop if you’re in the neighborhood, but not necessarily a must-visit.

The food was very fresh and good portions. I really enjoyed it and would come back again. I do think that the prices were a bit high in comparison to other incredible middle eastern places near by. It’s also quite loud so you do need to speak really loud. Just a heads up if you’re coming here to catch up with a friend!

Good food, but not everything was to my taste. The fish was flavorful, especially the sauce. I expected the babaganoush with beet to have more eggplant, but it was mostly a creamy beet paste. The carrots had way too much harissa, which was too strong of a flavor. The outdoor seating might be nice on a sunny day, but the chairs were a bit wet and the sound of the subway right below gets annoying. It looked nice inside, but extremely loud.

Shakshuka was flavorful but I did wish it had a bit more sauce. The schnitzel was done well but did not have enough cabbage and seemed like it needed more than one lemon especially given the cost . Other than that, the service was welcoming but not too pushy. Make sure to ask for table water too as water that’s bottled has a cost (wasn’t that obvious to me until I got the bill, so that’s on me.) Note this establishment enforces tip starting at 15%.

Placed a DoorDash pickup order and went to collect it. The hostess, Elissa, brought out a bag after asking our name, but when we checked it outside, we realized it wasn’t ours. When we returned within 5 minutes, she admitted the orders got mixed up because someone else had called saying they received the wrong one. There was no real apology or accountability, just an offer to have the kitchen remake it, which took another 15–20 minutes. Service was below average, and the whole experience felt like a waste of time for the quality of food. Tried the Mushroom Hummus and Chicken Skewers, hummus was decent, but the chicken was dry and flavorless. There are plenty of better Mediterranean options in NYC. I’d recommend avoiding this place if you want tasty food and better service.

Even though we arrived at 7:30, they told us that the dish we chose from the Valentine's Day menu was not available and that we had to choose something else. Then, when it to order dessert, they told us that the dessert we wanted was also unavailable again. Even when we left at 9:45, everyone else was still eating the desserts that they had told us were unavailable. As a result, we don't understand why we were told such a lie and why we paid approximately $300 for a menu we couldn't choose from. We request that this problem be resolved.

The food is delicious. Absolutely cannot deny this. However I ordered what I thought was a vegetarian lunch course which turned out very much not to be. This menu item was Not clearly labeled as chicken and it really, really should have been. Also, $4 for a teensy weensy itty bitty bottle of coke?? You guys have got to be kidding me.

Despite the many empty tables, the host said they were all full and we'd have to wait two hours to get a seat. She sat us at the bar, but no one came to sit at those many empty tables. The Morroccon cigars were too salty. The braised short rib and tagine lamb were dry because they were overcooked. Even the position of the prices on the menus reveals how amateur and uncaring the business is. Don't let the high review score fool you. It's a pretty mediocre place.
