Had the pulled pork plate with a side of Mac & Cheese and a corn bread. Huge plate that could've easily fed 2 of us. Kids (ages 4 and 11) loved it. Great food, really good beer (they had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Hazy Little Thing IPA).
The first couple times coming here the food was good but not great. However, in my most recent visit they seemed to improve and the food was really good. The meat was moist, mac n cheese was creamy, and the potatoes weren't dry. I would recommend coming early because that's when the food's fresh.
Honestly a great replacement of the previous location. A lot more customization options for your meal and a heck of a lot more than the old pizza/burger/fries. They’re still pretty new, so portions and platings are changing a bit day to day (I visited on day 1 and they hadn’t yet priced Cornbread a la carte) but this is a great place! Also, if you have a Season Pass, this is on the dining plan 🎉🎉🎉 They also have Boysenberry BBQ sauce!!!
Come here for a quick breakfast & coffee fix, sweet & savory pastries, and special cakes! I wish there were more locations throughout OC because this is the only location closest to me. Parking: Finding a parking spot is a nightmare here. They have a private lot, but it’s always busy and tight. Ambiance/Environment: This is a large location. It’s always busy inside. They have indoor seating, and I don’t believe they have outdoor seating. There’s multiple lines, and honestly you can order anything from any line, with the exception of the coffee bar. Service: Although it looks extremely busy, throughput is quick. Shout out to every worker busting their a—. Each worker is quick & efficient. Cakes, pastries, & coffee: My go-to pastries are the potato croquettes and cake slices. My favorite cakes are red velvet and tiramisu. Their cakes are extremely moist, not dry, and not too sweet. Their coffee is decent. The lattes are sweet and do the job. I usually get the most popular dulce de leche latte. Skip the matcha. Pricing: Prices went up over the years, but honestly what hasn’t gone up? I’d definitely come back for their cakes and pastries! I wish they offered a reward system through the app. Not much benefits when you download the app; it’s just for mobile ordering.
Worth the wait! Went on a Saturday morning and had to try what Porto’s is about. Absolutely worth the wait and the parking battles during the busy Saturday. Once I took a bite of the cheese roll all my worries melted away haha. I ordered a whole bunch of pastries knowing I won’t be back for a while and will be freezing the rest. The pastries are reasonably price and all are delicious, some of the pastries didn’t make it back to the hotel. I see why people are flipping these pastries on the street! ☺️
Went back to see and ordered Christmas cakes for the holiday gardening w/ family, friend & my close family. Still a place to go for good bakery, cake, cafe & coffee. Parking is big and private, there are staff everywhere guiding you to where to go, weather for cake order/pickup, bakery for baked goods, cafe for snacks and foods, coffee for varies coffee choices. The prices are still unbeatable, especially at the current economic & holidays time. Services at each section or anywhere are great, warm & friendly. The place is vey clean, airy and bright from outside. There are several seating sections for dine in or just rest after checking out the baked goods (it’s alot and can be overwhelming), they do have patio seating too. Came in for couple items that to get but walked about with 4 bags of goodies. Glad most of the goods are bite sizes. Will see you soon for cake pick up. Workout time.
Iʻm from Hawaii and this was my 1st time eating at Porto's. The atmosphere was cute, buzy and also welcoming! We came on a not so busy day, but you could tell by the empty line waiting section that this place is good! Great cubano food and itʻs fresh. I love how the prices are really good for the quality of the food! Their horchata latte iz tasty also. My favorite are the potato balls and the desserts are "Ono" (delicious in Hawaiian)! Aloha!
First time here 🫔🍰☕️— everything made from original Cuban family recipes since 1963. Grab-and-go or pre-order online. There are a few tables inside and patios outside, so we hung out and caught up with friends for hours before heading back to Las Vegas! So good — can’t wait to come back and try even more!
Porto’s has been the best place for me to get great pastries 🥮 with the best prices!!! The matches with strawberry flavor inside and the one with grape 🍇 was so fun and so tasty. We got the 3 leches cake, which was so soft and melted when you take one bite. I tried the fried cheese too! The people around the place were so nice as well. They told me they love all the pastries that our family had. (😉) I would love to visit again !
We can't leave California without visiting PORTO'S - IYKYK!!! The guaranteed long lines, no matter when you go confirms how incredibly good this bakery is! Prices are very reasonable and bakery items are heavenly made. It really is that good! We got the coffee cake this time as well as their signature guava pastries and everything else on the menu, lol. This is a 10000% cheat day that's well worth it! Ordered a vanilla chai Latte which was perfect. They have an efficient system to take your order. Plenty of seating and staff is sweet! Which we had this on the east coast.
114/10 My first time at this spot(Buena Park), we ordered cheese rolls, guava pie and Cubano (Cuban Sandwich). The Cubano comes with plantain chips, crispy! I really like the Cubano, the meat is flavorful and the portion is big, can share with two people. The guava pie is just sweet, not my jam. The cheese rolls are my all time favorite, classical comfort food! We also bump into a Labubu meet up group haha, they are so cute!!
Went to Buena Park location on Saturday morning. Line outside to get in. It was not too bad of wait lines moves quickly. All the counters I went to order/pick up were all quick. Everyone know what they are doing. Great customer service! Picked up 6 dozens cheese rolls, 2 dozens guava cheese, 2 dozens dulcet de leche besito cookies for work trip to out of state. Got breakfast sandwich and guava juice. Everything always great at Portos! I wish there are more locations. Hopefully one day they'll expend to San Diego, airports and other states!
This location is one of my favorites because of the size, the staff and the vibe. There are 2 lines to accommodate the demand of these delicious pastries. Famous Cuban bakery with massive menu of drinks, food and sweets. My recommendation: Cheese roll Potato balls Croquette Danishes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Porto’s Bakery – Buena Park, CA Porto’s Bakery in Buena Park is truly one of my favorite places to visit whenever I’m in Southern California! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries and coffee instantly makes you smile. The display cases are filled with irresistible treats—my personal favorites are the guava pastries, cheese rolls, and of course, the famous potato balls. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Even though Porto’s is incredibly popular and always busy, the customer service is exceptional. The staff is friendly, efficient, and there are always plenty of them to keep things moving quickly. The line might look long, but it moves fast thanks to how well organized everything is. The establishment is spotless, from the counters to the cafe area, and it’s such a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastries. Speaking of coffee—theirs is delicious and pairs perfectly with any of their baked goods. Parking can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but it’s worth it every time. Porto’s is a true Southern California staple—a must-visit for anyone who loves great food, great service, and an all-around delightful experience!
We are not from the area and were told we are absolutely in need of this place in our life. Let me tell you……whoooooooweeeeee. Life changer this place absolutely ROCKS!!’ The potato balls were legit. The croissant were so soft and buttery…….the cheese danish were delicious…….now I understand the Hype and it’s REAL!!!!!!
Gosh this place is hella busy and there is always a line up. To our surprise they are very efficient in moving the line up though but expect at-least a 30 mins wait. May not be a good place to get your caffeine in, especially if you are on the go. Decent baked goods. The match drink is okay if you like a light matcha taste. We prefer a strong bold Matcha taste and this one is far from offering that. These are everywhere in Los Angeles and they have build a reputation cafe place.
I have to stop by whenever I’m in the area. I’ve been here many times and this is the first time there wasn’t a long wait (I visited at 7am). This location can get very busy depending on the time when you visit. There are two areas/lines for ordering so it’s a bit better but still expect a long wait. They got both indoor and outdoor dining areas but they are normally pretty crowded as well. Guava strudels are my all time favorite. I didn’t order them this time but i also really liked the ham and potato croquettes, Cubano sandwich and plantain chips. I’ve tried so much and literally everything was good. The price is very reasonable and hasn’t changed much in years.
Their Tritip steak is the best option within the park in my opinion. It is a bit on the dry side as mass prepare food can be. Portions are decent, but far from matching the price. My rating is probably skewed due to being compared to other food options in the park.
Took my partner in crime to Knott's for Thanksgiving. We had the teriyaki steak, meatballs, turkey sandwich, side of veggies, and the kids mac and cheese with potato wedges. I'd skip the meatballs but the steak and sandwich was yummy. Mac and cheese was a bit cold, but my wingman was happy. Would return.
This restaurant inside Knott's Berry Farm actually has really good BBQ. They offer tri-tip, ribs, pulled pork, spicy sausage, wings, and chicken. The plates come with choice of a side and corn bread roll. They also have salads available and serve boysenberry beer. During their Christmas season, a turkey dinner sandwich is on the menu (pictured).
The lines are terribly long beyond reason to get your food. However, once we got the food the experience was great. The gourmet berry salad was amazingly fresh and topped generously with assorted sweet, ripe berries! So light and healthy. The beef brisket was juicy, the corn was average, but the corn muffin was scrumptious. Very good for theme park counter service food.
The Tri-tip was well seasoned. The meatballs were a little dense but were full of flavor. The mashed potatoes had a good texture. The seasoned veggies were well cooked too. The spicy bbq had a really good kick! The boysenberry bbq sauce was not as sweet as I was expecting and was yummy! The mac and cheese was delicious. The cornbread was dry but had pretty good flavor. For being a cater style restaurant most of the food was pretty good!
This LA bakery is a must-visit for anyone craving a delightful pastry experience. Despite the long wait for parking and entry (over 30 minutes), the staff was incredibly quick and friendly, managing to keep the crowd moving smoothly. The bakery itself is a sight to behold, with its vast expanse of baked goods and an open kitchen that showcases their delectable creations. We indulged in a variety of items, including almond croissant, cinnamon croissant, chicken sandwich, eclair, cream cheese guava strudels, chicken croquettes, spinach puff pastry, biscuits, chicken empanadas, and wheat bread. The biscuits were a standout, filled with gooey caramel and chocolate. The eclair was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Every bite was a blissful experience, thanks to the freshly baked, warm pastries. While the chicken sandwich was a bit of a letdown compared to the other pastries, it was still enjoyable. Overall, this bakery offers an amazing experience and is definitely worth a visit.
Parking is horrendous but be patient because their turnover is pretty quick. There is an attendant on the first row to assist people crossing The moment you walk in, you are greeted with 2 lines. Both can fulfill your dine in and/or take out order. Really efficient and personalized service, you talk to one person when you place an order and when you pay, that same person ensures it is correctly charged
I really love Porto’s Bakery and Cafe. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and affordable. Their pastries are famous for a reason — the cheese rolls and potato balls are always warm, crispy, and full of flavor. The cakes are beautifully made and not overly sweet, perfect for birthdays or family gatherings. Even though it’s often very busy, the service is efficient and well organized. The staff works fast, and the quality never drops. Porto’s has a welcoming atmosphere that feels both lively and comforting, making it a great place for families and friends. It’s one of those places I can visit again and again and never get tired of. Definitely a must-visit in Southern California.
Used to love this place, but the last time I went, the food was incredibly dry. The chicken wasn't tender at all, and the cornbread tasted and felt like sand. they need to go back to the corn muffins. Those were delicious. Not paying 18 dollars for that bad of a meal lol
I usually ordered their pulled pork BBQ and get their corn on the cob or potatoes this time I tried their mac and cheese. this time their pulled pork had a lot of fat mixed with it. but its usually doesn't. the cornbread muffin that they make is extremely good. I love their corn bread muffin. the mac and cheese wasnt that good. kinda flavorless. their potatoes and coleslaw are so far the best sides that I have tried that they have.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) We also tried Boardwalk BBQ during our visit to Knott's Berry Farm. The restaurant had a few selections available, but overall the choices felt somewhat limited compared to other dining spots in the park. Unfortunately, many of the food items on display didn’t look very appetizing at the time we visited, which made it a bit harder to decide what to get. The selection also seemed smaller than expected for a BBQ-style restaurant. The location is convenient inside the park, and the service was fine, but the food presentation and variety could definitely be improved. With more options and better presentation, this place could offer a much better dining experience for guests.
They are currently advertising an awesome sound Ambrosia Salad with Boysendberry sauce ... Nope not there and the workers are aggressivelu mean. They kept directing me to a Spring Berry Arugula Salad and there is not a sign angle ingredient in that based on the Boysenberry. Stay away and find a place that isn't as mean and carries the items they list or lets you know if it was out. Was really looking forward to that Boysendberry Ambrosia Salad.
They changed their menu and took away the tri tip and the potato wedges. They also switched from corn bread to corn casserole, with whole corn kernels. Used to be the best place to eat at Knott's and now they swapped out most of the good stuff for stuff I don't like
I am disappointed with the service of the drink station here. They should say first that theyre out of most machine syrup before having us purchase a cup. Not after.
The barbecue pork was dry. The macaroni and cheese was dry, and it was cold. We went around 4:00 on a Monday and $50 for 2 three entree platters and $20 for a mac and cheese with BBQ on it. Probably some of the worst barbecue and mac and cheese we ever had! Dry, poor quality food! Gas station food is better!
Terrible quality chicken strips and fires! Even ranch dressing was the worst Ranch in my life! Congrats to its manager to manage to buy the worst quality food to see here
I never leave reviews but me and my partner were looking forward coming back here but we were EXTREMELY disappointed. As you can see from the pictures these plates do not look like $20 worth of food. We got way more last year when we came. We waited in line for 30 minutes and asked them when a new tray of the brisket would come out since we didn’t want the last of the burnt fatty scraps but they said “ we aren’t allowed to put a new tray in until this one is finished” we didn’t want anything else there so we got the brisket and were hopeful it would still be good. There was a couple of good bites in the brisket but not worth $20. Mainly fat and burnt parts. Also the sides were SO little, it should be two sides. Mac and cheese had barely any flavor. The cornbread was fine . Won’t be coming back here though.
Drinks are always out. Try to get peach tea and end up with either water or flat diet coke. Staff doesn't care or fix it. There's no bbq sauce like there used to be. Pretty crazy that you can't get bbq sauce at a bbq restaurant. People don't control their children. I got kids running circles around my table, running into my chair. Park staff doesn't do anything about it and the parents don't care that their children are terrorizing other guests.
Was great food this summer, so I decided to have lunch there today and to my surprise the food items available are different and far less quality, they weighed the food. Very little portions. Brisket was super thin and fatty. The girl serving the food had a bad attitude. 2 stars was me being very generous.
