Um excelente lugar para a famosa Espetada em pau de louro. As lapas são obrigatórias. O espaço na rua tem as cadeiras mais confortáveis de sempre! E o staff super simpático. Peço desculpa a foto de lapas já comidas mas estavam tão boas que não deu tempo de tirar foto 😁

Le plat du jour à 9,95€ de plats typiques lusitaniens, le midi. Nous avons passé un agréable moment, bien servis et super bien accueillis. Nous sommes repartis enchantés. Je recommande vivement.

Encore un très bon restaurant, très chic. Les plats sont bien cuisinés et la carte propose les plats locaux comme le sabre a la banane ou le pain local en entrée. Quelques difficultés cependant pour ce garer. Petit plus: le vendredi et samedi vous serez accompagné par un musicien. Possibilité de bénéficier d'une remise en réservant sur Thefork

Uma verdadeira experiência gastronómica no coração do Funchal! O Restaurante Espaço Funchal combina sabores autênticos com um toque de sofisticação. Cada prato é cuidadosamente elaborado, com uma apresentação irrepreensível. O ambiente elegante e o serviço atencioso transformam cada refeição num momento memorável. Hier haben wir sehr gut gegessen. Wir saßen im Innenbereich. Service war sehr gut und schnell. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut. Umfangreiche Karte mit Fisch- und Fleischangeboten.

Das Essen war fantastisch. Es war für madeirensische Verhältnisse teuer. Die Ziel Gruppe sind wohl eher Touristen. Getränke kosten ca 4€ pro Getränk. Das Essen hingegen ist seinen Preis allemal wert! Es war spitze. Die Bedienungen sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend, lediglich die zwei Damen dort wirken lustlos. Aber vlt liegt es auch an der Sprachbarriere. Es ist zu empfehlen!

Das Essen war sehr gut. Es gibt eine große Auswahl von verschiedenen Speisen. Wir hatten einmal Fisch und einmal Hotstone mit Filet. Beides war hervorragend. Zuvor hatten wir noch 2 Vorspeisen, die ebenfalls sehr gut waren! Die Weinauswahlt ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Bedienung war freundlich und sie hatten alle einen guten Humor.

La comida estaba increíble. Pedimos una tostá gratinadas de jamón. Pero lo más rico fue el atún a la piedra, bien acompañada con su guarnición. Estuvimos disfrutando en la terraza de una cena genial. Gracias.

Bien ubicado, los camareros son muy agradables, colaboran con el idioma y atentos. Los precios son correctos las y raciones abundantes, toda la comida estaba muy rica y especialmente nos gustó el postre. Pedimos pes espada con banana, crujiente de pollo (pechuga rebozada) con batata dulce y cheeskake de mango.

Comida exquisita y de mucha calidad. El mejor sitio en el que hemos comido en Funchal. Servicio atento y amable. Totalmente recomendable.

Cenamos allí y super bien. En la terraza se está muy Bien y tienen muchos platos para elegir. Probamos frango al roquefort y espeto mixto y estaba delicioso. Solo lo mejoraría añadiendo una salsa al espeto para q el pollo no quede tan seco! El agua grande 5€.

Todo bastante bueno. No doy 5* a la comida, solo porque extrañé alguna salsa con el Espada y plátano, me resultó, seco en conjunto... Aunque ojo, es la manera tradicional en que se sirve. El personal 10/10.

A family of two adults and two children, we visited this restaurant twice in a row for dinner. The service is of high quality, with constant attention to customers in a very welcoming atmosphere. All the dishes were excellent, from the tomato soup with egg to the various types of steak and monkfish, not forgetting the swordfish fillet with banana and passion fruit sauce. Divine.

Nice location, excellent food, outstanding service! I had a main, a desert, a glas of wine and water, all delicious. Since I had my dinner a bit early, I could take a place outside with nice view. If you are planning dinner at normal evening hours, I recommend to book in advance if you want to sit outside. Highly recommend this place!

This is a very busy spot in the center and its food didn’t not disappoint us. The scallops risotto is the best we have had on the island. I would also recommend the fried calamari over the grilled version. Since it’s a busy place, the service was a bit slow during its peak time.

Great restaurant with very pleasant and funny stuff, best atmosphere in one of the oldest street and food is so so delicious. We order traditional beef on stews and the beef was really delicious 🤤. We was watching how you can cook yours own steak, literally they give you raw meat on the hot plate you can bake it like you want. At dessert we order homemade passion fruit pudding, what a taste, it was so f.. delicious. Don even go around with eating there.

Waren etwas vor der offiziellen Öffnungszeit da, bekamen schon mal die Karte und Getränke gebracht. Bestelltes Essen kam schnell an den Tisch undxes gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Bell’ambiente accogliente, piatti abbondanti a prezzi onesti anche se si può cenare a molto meno in altri ristoranti! Molto turistico, non è la tipica taverna che mi è capitato di vedere nell’isola ma nel complesso buono, piatti particolari e tipici dell’isola di Madeira.

Si le service était long au démarrage, la cuisine est simple mais bonne. Le thon, spécialité de la maison, était délicieux. On y trouve également de nombreux produits de la mer.

Experiência muito positiva no Espaço Funchal! O restaurante oferece uma enorme variedade de pratos, garantindo que há opções para todos os gostos. A relação preço-qualidade é excelente, especialmente tendo em conta a diversidade e a qualidade dos ingredientes. Um destaque especial vai para a sangria rosé, que estava simplesmente ótima – refrescante e equilibrada, perfeita para acompanhar a refeição. O ambiente é agradável e acolhedor, tornando o Espaço Funchal uma excelente escolha para uma refeição descontraída e saborosa. Recomendo e certamente voltarei!

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit Freunden in diesem Restaurant. Der Chef selbst als auch der Service sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. leider war es teilweise nur noch lauwarm als es bei uns ankam - dies hat uns allerdings nicht gestört, sodass wir es auch nicht angesprochen haben - daher fliest dieser Punkt nicht in meine Bewertung mit ein. Alles in Allem war es sehr schön bei euch und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Rindfleisch mit Madeira Sauce war sehr lecker und die Pommes ok. Das Schweinefleisch hingegen war sehr trocken, so das ich mich mit den Beilagen vergnügen musste. Der Service war sehr nett und der Sangria hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Dazu haben wir gemütlich gesessen, weshalb es trotzdem 4 Sterne gibt.

Heute hatten wir ein glückliches Händchen bei der Auswahl unseres Restaurants. Schon vom Ambiente und der Art, wie die Tische eingedeckt waren, hob sich das Restaurant von den benachbarten Lokalen ab. Die Speisen entsprachen voll unseren Vorstellungen. Es waren gute Portionen und das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Frisches Gemüse und sehr leckerer Thunfisch mit Lorbeer gewürzt bzw. Spieße mit Garnelen und Oktopus, ein Kind hatte Spaghetti Carbonara und das andere Nudeln mit Gemüse. Sehr aufmerksamer und netter Service, nicht ganz günstig, aber besser als viele Touri-Läden, in denen man viel Geld für schlechtes Essen bezahlt. Ein sicherer Tipp ist besser, als fünf Enttäuschungen, denn von außen kann man beide nicht voneinander unterscheiden und die vielen Gefälligkeitsbewertungen im Internet sind (dazu werden sie geschrieben) irreführend.

Excelente lugar para comer.Los platos muy sabrosos pero no muy abundantes.Comer en la terraza una delicia ya que esta ubicado en una calle peatonal.La atención de diez.Un lugar aconsejable para comer a un precio moderado.Lo de el descuento de el cincuenta por cien un timo absoluto.A mi me cobraron el cien por cien.De todas maneras lo recomiendo.Para los servicios hay que bajar bastantes escaleras por lo que no lo recomiendo a personas con movilidad reducida.

Son muy atentos, están en cada detalle. La carne (espetada de ternera) buenísima, platos sabrosos y buena calidad precio.

Pedimos sopa de pescado por 5 euros muy buena, ensalada de salmón ahumado y abocado por 14 euros y era la peor ensalada que haya visto por ese precio, y el pulpo a la portuguesa estaba bien si no fuera que estaba flotando en aceite , muy grasoso, el resto muy bien

Such a lovely find, near where we stayed. A nice less touristy street. Staff were very professional and impeccable service. Food was authentic, delicious and home cooked. Really pleasant service, good value, charming restaurant. When we return to Madeira, will definitely eat here again.

there was a few restaurants along this road. we decided on this restaurant in part because of the enthusiasm of the staffs. they were having fun outside with the pple walking past and all. the server had the patience to explain their dishes which was important to understand the local dishes. we order the scabbard fish(local specialty) with passion fruit sauce. fish was fresh and delicious. nicely presented too. i had the fish tomato soup which was pretty yummy too. i ended the menu with a fresh fruit with vanilla ice cream. the service was good, they were attentive and polite. the food i would say it’s good but not wow. overall worth a try and pretty value for money if you take their set menu.

Staff is extremely friendly and good. Would call it the typical tourist rap. (But in a good way). The food is ok. I had the tuna as a main. It was a bit on the tough side, but the sauce was good. This restaurant is somewhere in the middle. It is not bad but also not fantastic. Would I return. Well the chance is 50%.

Jedzenie ok i tylko ok. Zamówiliśmy: Lapas - małże w bardzo smacznym sosie maslanym ale mam wrażenie, że były mocno przeciągnięte. Patrząc na inne zdjęcia z Google zazwyczaj wyglądają lepiej niż to co dostaliśmy. Espada z bananem - chyba najlepsze co było ale nadal po prostu ok. Rozbieżność między cena w menu, a na rachunku to prawie 4 EUR. Danie występowało w 2 miejscach menu - raz taniej raz drożej. Zupa z kasztanów - absolutnie najbardziej obrzydliwe wyglądające danie w historii. Bylo całkiem smaczne. Sumarycznie za 3 dania, butelkę wody i 2 piwa zapłaciliśmy 40 EUR. Także jak nie macie lepszego wyboru bo np. Inne okoliczne restauracje są zamknięte to zapraszam.

Wir waren diesmal nicht besonders zufrieden. Vor einem Jahr war in der Fischsuppe viel mehr Fleisch zum günstigeren Preis, die Espada vom Grill, die wir dieses Jahr serviert bekommen haben, bestand eigentlich nur aus Gräten. Bei denen nicht gerade günstigen Preisen kann man mehr Qualität erwarten.

Novamente optamos por visitar este restaurante devido a mega desconto do Fork. Não tivemos sorte com as mesas livres na esplanada, tivemos que ficar no interior abafado, com cheiros e gritos da cozinha. Bem... vamos ao que interessa - a comida :-) No global tudo estava bem cozinhado, nada a apontar. A sobremesa foi TOP. Os preços praticados achamos um exagero, daí vale a pena usufruir destas promoções do "garfo". Bom apetite!

Raz bardzo dobrze a raz fatalnie to ogólna opinia. Byliśmy w sobotę i wszystko wspaniałe obsługa i doskonałe jedzenie ośmiornica po portugalsku chyba najlepsza jaką jadłam. No to w niedzielę postanowiłam powtórzyć- no i totalna porażka porcja mniejsza, ośmiornica twarda chyba odgrzewany a dodatki ziemniaki i szpinak zmieszane jakby z resztek. Właściciel przeprosił lecz niesmak pozostał.

This restaurant was a bit disappointing. The waiters weren't very friendly, not very attentive. One spilled butter on my wife's trousers, but offered nothing else than an obligatory apology. Nothing to remove the stain. The food wasn't that great either. We decided to skip dessert, as we had just had about enough of this place. We were initially placed at a table where a cold draft from outside was making us uncomfortable. We asked to be moved to another table, which was not a problem. Unfortunately, the group at the table next to ours was very loud, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault, of course. All-in-all, our experience was mediocre.

El servicio es de primera . La comida deja mucho que desear . Pedí unos mejillones a la parrilla y vinieron con una salsa estilo bechamel que opacan el sabor del marisco . El lomo a la piedra no era lo que esperabamos . Vino con papas fritas y unas lechugas con cebolla ... Eso fue ... Ya después no quise pedir el postre para no llevarme otra sorpresa.

Bonito restaurante. Buena atención. Peeerooo, pedí una espetada y me trajeron casi cruda la carne, hasta estaba fría en el centro. Reclamé y se la llevaron para "calentarla". Pienso que la metieron al microondas por lo rápido que fue. La comida de mi acompañante (calamar y camarón salteado) estuvo bien y las bebidas también. Igual no volveré.

I have dinner here and the food was delicious as I ordered, Espada com Banana (Scabbard Fish with Banana) and it tastes very well but 24.95€ is very expensive and the portion is not big. Cheesecake passion fruit was good but also 8.95€ is expensive. Bolo do caco (garlic bread) is very poor and not fresh. They introduce some olives for me when I sit on the table and I found out it was charge on the bill, usually this is complementary for the customers. In general extremely expensive restaurant.

Nous avons fait une 20aine de restaurants durant notre voyage et c’est le seul qui a sortit du lot avec des points négatifs. Service très de base. Nourriture sans plus.

Valitsimme listalta paikalliset lihavartaat ja annos oli tosi iso pettymys. Vartaassa oli nautaa, porsasta ja kanaa. Epäilys annoksen tuoreudesta heräsi jo ennen maistamista, sillä annokset tulivat pöytään jo n.5 minuutin kuluttua tilauksesta. Ja ensimmäinen haarukallinen oli vahvistus epäilylle: lihat oli selvästi grillattu jo aikaisemmin ja nyt ne olivat saaneet vain hieman pintalämpöä eli lihat olivat tuskin haaleita. Lisäksi kana oli ruutikuivaa ja naudanliha oli mielettömän sitkeää eikä sitä pystynyt syömään. Tarjoilijan hakiessa lautaset pois ja kysyttyä "maistuiko ruoka", vastasimme lihan olleen kuivaa ja sitkeää, johon hän totesi "yes I know"...eli eipä tainnut olla ainutkertainen tapaus. Tippiä ei siis todellakaan tarvinnut jättää.

Czytalismy wiele opinii, rowniez znalazla sie ta restauracja w przewodnikach, finalnie skorzystalismy z rezerwacji przez aplikacji theFORK i czujemy sie oszukani(popatrzcie na rachunek). Co zamowilismy? Bruschetta z osmiarnica- ok Stek portugalski- slaby zalany sosen Grilowane kalmary z krewetkami- kalmary ok, krewetek 3… i wszystko zalane oliwa. 2 kieliszki wina Wode Nasz rachunek? Oczywiscie oliwki ktore wydawalo sie ze sa poczekadelkiem doliczone do rachunku. 2 wina podwojnie drozsze (nigdzie na wyspie nie widzialam takiej ceny) Srednia jakosc jedzenia. Na pewno nie polecamy i nie wrocimy.

TIMO! 7€ por una copa de vino blanco! Platos muy pequeños, calidad media. 3 platos minusculos, 2 copas de vino y 1 botella de agua = 70€ para 2 personas y salimos con hambre.

La calidad del servicio, precio y comida no están proporcionados. Para las bebidas esperamos 20 minutos, para el aperitivo casi 30 minutos y para la comida más de una hora sin previo aviso de la tardanza o disculpas por parte de los camareros o el manager del restaurante. Después de quejarnos a uno de los "mánagers" o alto cargo en el restaurante (parecía un poco borracho al hablar con nosotros y se sentía ofendido por haberle pedido explicaciones) trajeron los platos al cabo de 5 minutos. Con uno de los platos se equivocaron cuando lo trajeron incluso... Tienen miles de camareros con distintas funciones, no sabes a quién pedir la bebida o la comida. Wróciłam do tego miejsca rok później, na początku dałam restauracji dobrą opinię, jednak po zjedzeniu kolacji w tę niedzielę wieczorem, w poniedziałek rano obudziłam się z mdłościami i bólem brzucha, cały dzień przeżywałam najgorsze zatrucie żołądkowe w życiu. Do tej pory odczuwam konsekwencje tego dania , a jadłam espadę z krewetką. Samo jedzenie smakowało ok, ale było sztucznie przyprawione, a kelner pomylił zamówienie znajomego i musieliśmy zapłacić za dużo droższe danie. Nie polecam

Пришли поздно вечером выпить по бокалу вина с закусками. Официанты ведут себя снисходительно и общаются свысока. Цены в меню необоснованно дорогие. При заказе куверта, в состав которого входят хлеб, чесночное масло, оливки и паштет, вместо масла принесли маргарин. Что не должно быть в ресторане такой ценовой категории. Также мы заказывали оливки по отдельной позиции в меню (хотя по меню они входят в куверт), но принесли всего одну тарелочку оливок, штучек 8 всего. За полчаса до закрытия принесли счёт и сказали "у нас больше нет людей, мы закрываемся". Почему мы как клиенты, не считались, остаётся загадкой Не рекомендую к посещению

Dzisiaj odwiedziłem Restaurację Espaco w Funchal. Zamówiliśmy wodę gazowaną wino oraz piwo . Ponadto zamówiliśmy krewetki oraz calmary w panierce. Wczesniej pytałem kelnera, które calmary poleca te w panierce czy te na ostro i on polecił te w panierce, gdyż sos jest bardzo pikatny w tych calmarach na ostro. Gdy dostaliśmy zamówione danie okazało się ,że woda którą dostalismy nie jest gazowana, a zamiast calmarów w panierce dostałem krewetki w panierce. To jakaś porażka restauracji skoro kelner nie potrafi przekazać do kuchni informacji o zamówionych daniach. NIe polecam tej restauracji .

Quick and professional service, but the food was disappointing. The “tropical” salad had nothing tropical about it — just a few slices of avocado and banana. The octopus salad was overwhelmed by onions to the point it tasted more like an onion salad with octopus. Considering the high prices compared to other restaurants in Madeira, it wasn’t worth it. Wouldn’t return.

Serviço extremamente lento. Nas espetadas de peixe misto e gambas o único peixe estava muito seco. As gambas também estava secas. Doses bastante bem servidas.

Timadores. Cobraron por cerveza 3,95€, precio q no estaba en carta. Solicitamos la Carta de esta bebida y nos falsificaron una. Solicitamos la hoja de reclamaciones y nos dijeron que no tenían, aunque es obligatorio. No recomiedo

Fuimos recomendados Pedimos ensalada de aguacate con salmón sin cebolla, el aguacate nadie lo vio la cebolla hubo que apartar varios trozos. Agua con gas de litro 5.5€ Agua sin gas de litro 4.95€ Sitio muy decepcionante a pesar de ser agradables en el trato

No recomiendo este lugar, cuando estas turistas, te lleva una carta con platos que cuestan alrededor de 20€. Pero nos damos cuenta de que hay otra carta con platos del dia que casi cuestan la mitad (10-13€). Pero no tenemos, nosotros, los turistas, el derecho de tenerla. Muy mal.

I tryied to book with the Fork and they cancelled. Availability of the discounts and number of people is in charge of the restaurant, not The Fork. I was passing by and they offered us a table without knowing I was the one trying to book. When I told them they said we were too many, they could only offer a lower discount. Out of curiosity I went back to the app and the offer was still available. I understand they don't make offers for groups, but if they benefit from clients coming from The Fork at least they should know how to use it.
