We went to the restaurant today and had a fabulous meal , I had the Cajun chicken Burger - yummy and my partner had the fish and chips which he said was fantastic. The service was excellent , the restaurant has recently been taken over by a family who have redecorated and revamped inside and it now looks fresh and trendy . They have also created a drinking only area near the bar with comfy tables and chairs which I think is a great idea and means we have somewhere else to go now if we just fancy a drink . I wish them all the success for there new venture .

Wij hebben hier nu voor het eerst gegeten met 4 personen en we hebben in het niet-roken gedeelte gezeten buiten. Het eten was GODDELIJK!!! We hadden een voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en nagerecht. Alle 3 waren geweldig! De opmaak zag er fantastisch uit. Zelf had ik een vistaartje met chilisaus, als hoofdgerecht had ik eend genomen en als dessert de lemon cheesecake. De eend was dus echt goddelijk, dit vooral door de saus. Dat was een cranberry saus met rode wijn. Een beetje cumberlandsaus idee. Nu ik deze review schrijf, loopt het water wederom in de mond. De lemon cheesecake was volgens mij wel tijdelijk maar erg lekker. Een behoorlijke 5 sterren review dus! Het personeel waren Engelse dames en waren echt super lief en beleefd. What a fabulous evening we had. It was my birthday and when we arrived they had decorated the table and had a happy birthday banner up. It was fabulous food, fabulous service. Will definitely be back on our next visit.

It was Sunday and a popular Sunday lunch menu. 3 courses, €11.95! 6 Roasts to choose from! My son‘s gluten free needs were well catered for, even including a special sauce for his prawn cocktail (enormous prawns), gluten free gravy and an off the menu special chocolate fudge cake which was bigger than his face. I don’t eat meat and the salmon was all gone by the time we got there but that was no problem to the wonderful owner who did everything to ensure we had a great meal. Another off the menu suggestion or two and I settled happily for a vegetarian lasagna; it was delicious. Bakewell tart to die for made by their chef. This wee place is upstairs.

Home cooked Sunday roast beef and yorkshire pudding with vegetables lunch was fabulous. Starter was brie with a chutney side and fresh salad. Free glass of house wine with your meal. Cant be bettered locally See you for breakfast soon

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. The menu is very well thought out with plenty of nice dishes to choose from. The staff are very friendly and attentive, also making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place.

Food was amazing as was the gin. Vegetarian burger and liver and bacon were our mains shared a starter and couldn't manage a dessert. Owners were very friendly and helpful and staff were good. Will be definitely be back . Atmosphere was a lovely place for a wonderful meal ...

First time here.. went to celebrate a friends birthday.. when we arrived they had decorated the table for us!!. Excellent choice on menus from fish, steak to chicken burgers..very good also if you have allergy.. Good wine and a variety of drinks, good size portions. Took my desert ( cake ) home 😋 .. Highly recommend this place .. we plan on going back with our respective families.. Thank you to Lisa & Lucy for all your hard work , making it a special night 😊

What a gem find this restaurant is. We have eaten here many times. Food amazing no matter what dish you choose The chefs are top notch. Staff very friendly and accomodating, nothing too much trouble. Very good value for money

We went for Sunday Lunch it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so friendly and looked after us. We will be going again for sure.

The meals were delicious! The food was well presented, hot and very tasty. We chose from the set menu which is reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and a bonus was that the background music were great tunes! Will definitely visit again!

Came here with my Mum recently while on holiday and had a steak, which was excellent. There was no set menu on this occasion, but the food and portion sizes was good. Would return here if I'm ever in Algorfa again.

Had a very nice carvery Sunday lunch today. It was plentiful and very good value. The vegetables and meat we're beautiful you can even go back if you want more. Well worth a visit. Every fortnight.

Service was good, friendly staff when asked ingredients they knew what they were. Kitchen needs proper extractor fans as the dining room was full of smoke from the cooking. Husband had the gammon very nicec I chose the chicken & rice in a white wine sauce, found it bland, sadly, vegetables were cooked to perfection. When asked how was our meal I told the truth "Bland" no apology. Come to pay,they said that €2.90 had been reducted for my meal, nice then on looking at our bill they had charged us €3.50 for a shot of Grenadine & €1.60 for a small bottle of Lemonade . Glass of wine was only €2.20. It's a shame could've of been a good experience. Will not be returning

There is little choice in restaurants nearby. So we went to here, but unfortunately it was not good. For example: the chicken breast was very old and hard bitten. A lot of sauce and a lot of things on the menucard weren’t available. You expect a lot more if you go to a restaurant. For us this was the first and last time

Our waitress was lovely! She was extremely helpful, especially as we had a 7month old with us. She recommend a rose which was lovely. However we both ordered the mushroom stroganoff. It was awful. Huge chunks of raw onion, uncooked mushrooms, mushy pasta and awful sauce. It came with a side of garlic bread which looked like it has been soaked in water it was so mushy. Would never go back for food.

Aussi, je souhaiterai savoir si il y a eu un changement quelconque au niveau propriétaire...cuisiniers...serveurs... Car il me semble un écart important, à tout point de vue, depuis notre dernièrevisite... "Mais nullement en bien"... Cela va sans dire

The worst ribs ever. My wife also had a T-bone steak. Really poor, For the price and menu items I would expect quality. Once I complained about the quality I was offered an apology several times. In the end the owner did reduce the bill however that ended in a bit of scuffle. They did put it right (financially) but embarrassed to have had discussed it publicly. Low class food for high class price's. Shame given the location. Won't return

Arrivé à 21h30…..pas le droit de prendre un apéro, et menu imposé… burger et rien d’autres !!! A croire qu’ils gagnent assé de pognons🥴 Bref on est parti et on ne reviendra jamais dans ce lieu irrespectueux des clients surtout quand on regarde l’heure de fermeture 😡

Me and some friends went up there recently to watch a singer, we specifically said we weren’t having meals but maybe a dessert. They arranged a table for us and we sat down. My 2 friends ordered a coffee which never came. When we asked the staff about that they said the coffee machine wasn’t on as it was late and people don’t order coffees at this time.(it was 7pm) it’s quite common to have a coffee after your meal, so couldn’t understand this. When she came round to give us menus, we said again that we were only getting dessert, one of my friends wanted something light to eat but chose not too as the prices are a joke. So she decided against having food. When I asked for the dessert menu (bare in mind they about 9 euros for a dessert) the new owner got extremely argumentative with me as she said “she’d turned 3 tables away so she could accommodate us, and we said we were having food” which I explained that wasn’t the case. (On top on this, there was a whole restaurant of tables inside with no one on, so unsure why she was turning away people) My friends and I got up and left, the atmosphere of the new owners were not welcoming, we won’t be back there again. Nicki (the old owner) was much nicer.
