Preguntas frecuentes sobre Land of Plenty
Opiniones de Land of Plenty Central Park South
The food was really good and the restaurant was nice. The staff were friendly as well. This is a good place to go to or eat from when you're craving Chinese food!
The best Sichuan I’ve had in NYC. Anywhere, honestly. They have PLENTY of options, and everything I’ve had tastes amazing. Lived blocks away and would go or order every other week, and still go every time I get the opportunity. My favorite? Orange beef, shrimp fried rice, and their spicy wontons. Just perfect!
Very nice midtown Szechuan restaurant. Went there for lunch and had a great meal. Lunch specials are extensive and well priced. Has the shrimp with spicy pork. It was delicious.
You get honest value for your dining dollars. The meals here taste great, cost less than most places and the employees are nice. Service is good, no complaints at all. The flavors here are noteworthy. This spot makes social dining enjoyable with quality options.
If you're looking for an authentic, no-frills Chinese meal, this is the place to go. The service is fast, and the staff is both welcoming and attentive. As a group of six, we tried a variety of dishes, and everything was pretty good. We especially loved the Sichuan spicy chicken. The vegetable dishes were also a pleasant surprise—they were well-cooked and seasoned so perfectly that even my husband, who doesn’t eat veggie much, couldn't resist. (Updated) husband said it’s because he’s too hungry from playing tennis for 2 hours and that’s the first dish came out. This doesn’t affect my ratings.
Best place for a quick lunch no matter dining in or take out, lunch special always costs about $13 with an entree, decent amount of rice and hot soup, it will make you sleepy afterwards lol if you finish all of them. Very efficient oncall service and onsite attendant service, very crowded during weekday lunch time, plan well before you go, highly recommend ma po tofu!
Went there with my family. We had a really good time. All dishes were good or very good. Some are hot and spicy, typical of the szechuan cusine. Ambience has some sofistication to it, and service is pleasant. A perfect option to go in groups and try out some flavorful spicy asian dishes.
Love this place for the lunch specials. Some of the best stuff are the szecuan dishes like mapo tofu, dried string beans, etc. The pork belly with with water chestnuts is a dinner favorite. The smoked duck fried rice is great too. One review said the food is microwaved, heck no. They're fast and well prepared. for a busy lunch. Good service always.
A classy yet approachable Szechuan restaurant. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Although the facade is deceptively common, once inside I can guarantee you will be thoroughly surprised by the bright decor. The range of food is interesting, from the simple and well-known fried rice to more intricate dishes. In addition, most dishes come in large portions which are perfect to share with others. Highly recommend the Ma Po Tofu, it’s a healthy and spicy dish that is definitely worth trying.
Land of Plenty is the finest restaurant in the metro city area. Take-out and dine-in menus. Shareable plate service for larger groups. It is the best Chinese food I have had in taste. One noteworthy incident during this review is that my party of ten all ordered together, but the waiter brought out only six orders, telling us rudely that we had to wait for the remaining four, which came twenty minutes later. One can understand that there may be logistical limitations to table service for larger parties (the kitchen’s number of plate warmers and such), but at least be nice about it instead of treating customers like they are a burden. The bathroom is diminutive. No wi-fi.
We visited this café with our family. The food was okay, and the service during the meal was fine. While having lunch, we even thought this could become a place we’d come back to more often. However, after we paid the bill and left a 5% tip, the staff started insisting that it was not enough and pressured us to leave at least 15–18%. They were very persistent and tried to make us feel guilty, saying that everyone is required to tip 18%. This completely ruined the experience for us. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.
I really wanted to enjoy the food, but unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 dishes we ordered were quite bland. The stir-fried vegetables with tofu, which cost nearly $18 without any meat, lacked seasoning, and the ingredients tasted old and had a mushy smell. We expected better at that price point. The trio vegetables with garlic sauce was the only dish we liked. The service was okay—nothing wrong with our server. Also, only the front section of the restaurant was lit, which is understandable since it was not a crowded afternoon. Based on this experience, we do not plan to return, especially with so many other Sichuan restaurants in NYC offering better-tasting food.
The wait staff are among the rudest I’ve ever met. Good luck asking for recommendations; we even got yelled at for kindly pointing out that one of the orders was missing. My coworker left them a small tip because of the bad service and they actually increased the tip. Completely unacceptable
Absolutely horrible. When a restaurant chooses to use the worst quality beef available in order to save money, and the customer keeps spitting out every piece because he's not able to chew through it, that's a very sad day. And that's what this chinese restaurant is all about. Never again.
The food was surprisingly horrible, never had Chinese food this bad. Tofu in Mapo Tofu was pretty old and sour and my stomach was reacting to it for days. The orange beef was way too sweet and the coating was so thick, there was barely any beef in it.
